Previous chapter: Jasper - JPOV

I snicker as Peter clears his throat and says: "It's not that I'm not a fan of all this lovey-dovey stuff, but enough is enough. Time to go home before my woman decides to redecorate the whole house. Believe me! You don't want that to happen."

I roll my eyes at his back as he sprints off. I turn to look at my kids with a smile on my face as I say: "Don't listen to him. Char is great at decorating houses. Come on, let's get back to your mother. I bet she has a nice surprise for you."

Jasper – JPOV

The faces of Alec and Jane light up when I mention their mother and the possible surprise she might have. Knowing my Bella, she has already moved heaven and earth to give our kids the perfect rooms. Bree shakes her head and giggles as Alec turns on his heels and yells: "Race you back, dad!" I smile as Alec starts to run, and Jane rolls her eyes at her brother's back as she says: "Get him, daddy. We'll be right behind you."

I give her a quick nod and rush off to catch up with Alec. I smile as I hear Alec's carefree laughter and sigh happily at the emotions that bubble up inside me. My life has changed so much since Bella became my everything, and I wouldn't change a damned thing about it. She has given me everything I didn't know I was missing. I would have been more than content to have her love me for eternity and to love her equally in return. We would have been blissfully happy, but the twins complete us in a way I never thought possible. Bella was born to be my mate. Just as she was born to be the twin's mother. I love her even more because of that.

I smile as I catch up with Alec and say: "You think you can beat me, son?" He nods vigorously, and I snicker as he accelerates to keep me from overtaking him. Alec grins wide as he stares at the forest edge in the distance and speeds up even more as he says: "Prepare to lose, dad! The first one out of the forest wins." I let out a playful growl as I speed up as well and say: "Oh, you're on. Prepare to admit defeat."

Alec and I laugh out loud as we break through the tree line behind the house at exactly the same time. We stop to wait for Jane, Michael, and Bree. I ruffle Alec's hair as he turns to look at me and say: "Let's call it a tie. You're fast, Alec. I don't know many vampires that can run at that speed." He beams at my words and hugs me as he says: "I loved running with you, dad. Can we do that again soon?"

I nod as I hug him back and say: "Of course, Alec. I bet your mother would love to come with us. She's still very fast with all the newborn blood that lingers in her body, and she loves to run." Alec smiles brightly at my words and says: "I would love to."

In the meanwhile: Bella - BPOV

It isn't until after we finish ordering all the decorations for the twin's rooms that I realize how thirsty I am. Char gives me a knowing look as I reach for my throat and says: "You forgot that you and Jasper were going out to hunt when the twins returned. I wondered how long it would take you to remember. They will be back soon, and then Jasper can take you hunting while the rest of us help Emmett. The barn will get transformed before you know it."

I surprise Char by hugging her tight and say: "You're the best sister in the whole world, Char. I know that renovating the barn was Emmett's idea, but you know your stuff when it comes to home decorations. The twins are going to love their new rooms."

Char giggles as she returns my hug and says: "I just gave you some pointers, sugar. Alec and Jane are going to love the things you picked out for them. Who would have thought that the old barn was the perfect place to create three bedrooms with ensuites and a common room to link everything together? Come on, let's start cleaning out the barn so that Emmett can get started right away when he and Rosalie return from the hardware store."

We run toward the barn, and I can't stop myself from smiling as we work together side by side at vampire speed. It only takes us ten minutes to get everything outside and cleaned. Being a vampire most certainly has its perks. Char gives me a bright smile as we walk back into the barn and start drawing the outlines of the rooms on the floor while discussing all the modifications that must be made.

A soft groan pulls our attention to the entrance of the barn, and Char rolls her eyes at me as we spot Peter's back while he rushes back out. She motions for me to follow her as I raise my brow questioningly, and says: "I know my mate, Bella. He heard part of our plans and decided it's all too much work. I bet he's trying to weasel out of helping us right now. I swear that man is going to be the death of me." I snicker as I follow Char out of the barn and smile brightly as I spot Jasper and Alec near the tree line while Peter runs their way.

Jasper – JPOV

Alec and I continue to talk about his life in Volterra, as a wave of panic pulls my attention back to the house, right when Jane, Bree, and Michael emerge from the forest behind us. I raise my brow questioningly as Peter comes running back to us and yells: "We need to hide, Major. Bella is taking this renovation shit way too seriously. She's even more insane than my Char."

Peter raises his arms in the air as I growl at his last words and says: "Sorry, Major, you know I love that woman as if she was my own sister but come on… renovating the barn?! Really?! What's wrong with a tent? You said it yourself; it's not like those kids need a place to sleep."

I growl again as I send him a large burst of annoyance to shut him up and watch as he takes a step back with his hands still raised in the air. He bows his head a little in submission and says: "Okay, Major, I'm shutting up now."

I move to stand in front of him as I watch Bella and Char walking toward us, and I say: "Never question Bella's actions when it comes to her children, Peter. She loves you, but she will kick your ass even harder than she kicked Emmett's if you start acting like an ass toward them just because you don't want to paint a few rooms. Be her big brother, like you proclaim to be. I bet Emmett is helping her out as we speak."

Peter glares at me as he says: "Low blow, Major. I've been her big brother from the moment I knew she was your true mate. I love that girl like she is my own flesh and blood. If she wants to renovate the barn, then I'll renovate that flipping barn." I give him a curt nod, and Jane smirks as she skips to Peter's side with an innocent smile on her face and says: "It's a good thing you learn fast, Uncle Peter. You really don't want me to tell Auntie Char what you said."

Peter puts his hand on her shoulders and snickers as he says: "No need to do that, sweet pea. I like my head where it is." Char clears her throat, and the sheer panic in Peter's eyes makes me laugh out loud as Char says: "Oh, you don't have to tell me, sweetie. Auntie Char already heard what her idiotic husband had to say about our renovations. Uncle Peter better gets his ass in that barn right this instant if he knows what's good for him."

Everyone bursts out laughing as Peter rushes toward the barn, and I throw Char a wink as she turns to follow her mate. Jane and Alec run to Bella and hug her tight. Bella smiles as she strokes Jane's hair and kisses Alec on his forehead before looking at me with a loving smile and saying: "I assume the hunt went well, seeing everyone is smiling."

"It sure did, pumpkin. Michael fed on a few deer without problems. He is going to be just fine on an animal diet." I sigh happily as Bella moves into my arms, and hug her tight as I say: "I hear you've been busy."

Bella - BPOV

I let my love for Jasper flow through me as I hug him back and say: "Emmett had the best idea ever. We're going to renovate the barn and divide it into three bedrooms with ensuites and a common room that links everything together. That way, the kids can both have their own room, and the third one is a guestroom. What do you think?"

I giggle as Jasper lifts me and spins me around while saying: "That sounds absolutely perfect, pumpkin. Does Emmett need help?" I nod as he places me back on the ground, and say: "Yes, I think he would love some help." I turn to look at the twins and their mates and smile as I say: "If we all pitch in, the rooms will be ready so much faster. Oh god, I really wanted to show you the decorations we bought, but I think I need to feed, Jasper. The burn is starting to be all I can think of. Can we go hunting first?"

Jasper tenses as he pulls me closer and says: "You should have said something sooner, darlin'. I'm so sorry that I didn't pick up on your discomfort. Please, forgive me." I shake my head as I whack his arm and say: "Just take me hunting, silly. There's nothing to forgive. I'm just going to need a few deer more than usual to get my fill."

I giggle as Alec and Jane start pushing me and Jasper toward the forest while saying: "Go hunt, mom. We'll go and help Uncle Peter and Auntie Char." Jasper laughs as he grabs my hand and pulls me into to forest as he says: "You heard our kids, pumpkin. Let's find you something to quench that thirst."

Jasper – JPOV

The trees flash by as we run deeper into the forest at high speed. The scent of a bear makes us change our course, and I drop back so that Bella doesn't feel threatened during her hunt. I stare in awe as Bella lunges for the bear and easily fights him for control. God, she is so sexy when she hunts. Hell, who am I kidding? My Bella is always sexy in my eyes. No one had ever captivated me so completely as my mate, and no one ever will.

Bella stands up after draining the bear, and I growl softly as I notice the trickle of blood that travels down her neck. I start stalking her way, and I know I look every bit the predator that I am. Bella's breath hitches as she watches my approach, and I smirk as I hear the throaty moan that escapes her as her eyes travel down my torso. I pull her close to me the moment she's in my reach and groan as the scent of her arousal washes over me.

We both gasp for unneeded air as I let our joined emotions flow around us. Bella is the first one to act on them as she drops to her knees and pulls my jeans down in the same motion. "Fuck!" My groan travels through the forest as she sucks my member into her mouth. This feels so good, but I want to be inside her. I smirk as I pull back from Bella's mouth and say: "Oh no, my mate, that's not how we're going to play this game."

Bella stares at me with pitch-black eyes and moans as she notices my stance. "Please, Major, I need you." I pull her flush against me and place kisses down her neck while my hands rip the clothes from her body. I stop to lie her down and move in between her legs as I say: "You never have to beg me, my mate. I exist to please you." I push myself into her wet core in one swift thrust, and Bella's eyes roll back as she hisses in pleasure. "Yes!"

I move in and out of my Bella at a tantalizingly slow pace. There's only her and me as we move together as only lovers can. Our movements grow more and more frantic as our orgasms build up inside us. I let our combined love and desire flow around us. It's all that Bella needs to fall over the edge. Her orgasm hits her like a thunderstorm, and I groan loud as she pulls me over the edge with her.

I move to lie next to Bella and pull her close against me. I kiss the top of her head, and she lets her fingers wander across my torso. "I love you, pumpkin." Bella lifts her head, and I close my eyes briefly as all the love she feels for me flows through me. "I love you too, Jasper, more than anything."

The smile on Bella's face is so bright, it could light up the night's sky, and I find myself wondering once again what I ever did right to deserve a goddess like her by my side. She makes me the happiest man alive, and I thank whatever god is out there that I have the rest of forever to show her just how much I love her.
