Chapter 35

Ash and Alice are now inside the Viridian Forest, they are having a picnic with Mark, Minami, Golly, Trenor, Eve, and Flora. Eve says, "Why don't we stay at your house in Pallet Town?"

"We could." Ash says, "But I am not in a mood to go there because of what happened..."

"True." Trenor says. "Brother doesn't want to take any chances."

Just then, they notice some Bug Type Pokemon flying as fast as they can, much to their surprise. Golly says, "What's going on here?"

Ash says, "That is strange since Bug Type Pokemon were flying towards that direction..."

Minami thinks for a second and says, "Could it be the Bug Witch?"

"Bug Witch?" Flora asks in confusion. "What's that?"

Ash says, "I have heard of it. In Pallet Town, there was a girl who liked to make desserts, and she would go into the woods to give out her desserts to the Bug Type Pokemon. And whenever she decides to leave, the Bug Pokemon will follow her as they want more. The act causes a lot of townspeople to get afraid. So that she was banned to ever come back to the Pallet Town and she got the name."

"That is rude. She just shows her kindness towards the Bug Type Pokemon. And then the others did that to her?" Alice gasps with disgust.

"But we didn't know the full story, which is why as the Kanto Champion, Mom has been trying to find out the truth in these years." Ash says.

As they decide to follow the Bug Type Pokemon, they see a girl decorating the cake, and then she smiles, "There, all finished."

As the Bug Type Pokemon are eating, the girl notices the group and she is a little fear. "Who are you guys?"

This causes the Bug Type Pokemon to notice them and they start to circle the girl to protect them. "Wait, we didn't mean any harm." Ash says.

Just then, two Butterfree notice Ash and then they also fly around him, showing that he is no threat. Ash notices the scarf on the normal Butterfree and the pink one, he gasps, "Butterfree? Is that you?"

The Butterfree nods as Ash hugs him, much to everyone's surprise. Mark asks, "Brother? You know this Butterfree?"

"It was my first capture." Ash says, causing others to shock once more. "I released him after the mating season. I am glad to be able to see you again."

The girl notices how much care he has for the Bug Type, she decides to ask, "Who are you and what are you doing here?"

The others stop their reunion as Ash says, "I am Ash Ketchum, you probably have heard about me."

"Ash Ketchum?" The girl is surprised. "I know. You are famous, but you also lived in Pallet Town, with those evil people..."

"Evil people?" Alice asks. "Can you explain to us some more, since we are members of the International Police, we could help you."

As Alice and Golly also show their badges, the girl introduces herself as Insey, she says, "You see...when I was alone, I would have to go to the forest and gave out my desserts to the Bug Type Pokemon. And they loved it so much that they followed me way back home...at first, the townspeople aren't worried about it...until then."

"Then?" Ash asks.

"I found out my parents' job. And I couldn't believe it myself, they were poachers." This causes them to get shocked. "You mean...there are still poachers in the area?" Eve asks.

"Yeah. I found out the truth and I rebelled against them, then they told me that they would make my life miserable. And this is what they did. They accused me of bringing evil Bug Pokemon to Pallet Town and I was kicked out of it. Not even the Champion and the Professor were able to help me since I didn't want to drag them to this."

"I see." Ash says. "I am sorry to hear that."

"It is fine...you guys probably don't know anything. But all I wanted is to get away from them as soon as possible." Insey frowns.

Ash looks at Alice and they nod. He says, "Insey, right? Since you hated your parents, does that mean they disowned you?"

"Kinda." Insey says. "Why do you ask?"

"Because if possible, we would like to adopt you into our family." This causes shock to her and she asks, "Really? Adopt me?"

Mark says, "Believe me, you are not the only one who had this kind of misfortune. In fact, some of us were the same as you."

Insey nods as Ash and the group brought her to Pallet Town. The townspeople are excited to see Red Satoshi, but they are frightened to see Insey with him. One townspeople ask, "Champion Red, why did you bring the Bug Witch with you?"

"Yeah, she is a bad luck bringer and she would summon evil Bugs to destroy us!" Another person says.

"That's enough." Ash says. "Don't you say that in front of me! Insey here has done nothing wrong, she is indeed extraordinary since she could befriend Bug Type Pokemon, but she never wanted to harm everyone and this is how you treated her?"

"Insey? Is that you?" Insey's blood boils as she glares at the woman and the man looking at her. Insey says, "Don't get near me."

"Insey? What's wrong?" The woman asks.

"What's wrong?" Insey says in anger. "You banish me from entering Pallet Town and disowned me!"

"Insey, I am sorry, we aren't thinking right, we..." The man says.

"Save your sorries, I have to live alone because of you guys! Right now Champion Red has some business to do with me and leave us alone."

The woman gets angry and says, "Is that how you talk to your parents?"

"You two are not my parents now." Insey says coldly.

Ash says, "And I knew your intentions. Right now you wanted Insey back because you want to use him to lure out Bug Type Pokemon so that you could sell them to the Black Market."

This causes the townspeople to get shocked and Alice says, "Indeed. You guys disgust us."

The man says, "We don't care, you are going back to us no matter what!"

He tries to grab her arm, but Mark quickly jumps in and slashes the arm away. Mark says, "If you want to get her, then you should go past us."

Golly says, "Indeed. As members of the International Police, you two are under arrest as illegal hunting."

This causes the townspeople to get surprised. Then Professor Oak, Gary, Tracy, as well as Delia, come out of their respective places as they are watching the scene. Oak asks, "What's going on here?"

Eve says, "Professor, it is great to see you again." Then she tells him all about the stuff that happened. Minami also tells Delia about it and then Delia nods. "I see, they should be arrested."

As Golly and the others are holding the two hunters down, the police arrived and then they take the two of them away.

"Insey, are you alright?" Ash asks after seeing the police cars drive away.

"I am fine." Insey says. "Thank you for asking."

Flora says, "Though this is the first time I see your birth parents, they are more disgusting than I thought."

"I know, at least I don't need to worry. And I have decided, I agree to be a part of your family." She says with a nod.

Delia then walks towards Insey and says, "Insey, I heard everything from Minami. You did a nice job."

"Thank you, should I call you Mother since I was going to get adopted to your family?"

"It is your choice after all." Delia smiles as Insey called her Mom. At the same time, Professor Oak asks, "So what is going on here?"

Ash notices Professor Oak and then he sighs, he knows that there is nowhere to hide. He nods to Delia and then Delia says, "Professor. I admit that I have hidden some truth from you. Red?"

Ash nods and he says, "Professor. It is nice to see you again."

"You are Red, the Champion who already beat all the league except for Kanto..." Oak gasps.

"Well, I had 8 badges and I am going to take part in this league so I could have a chance to battle my Mom." Red says, causing him to get surprised.

"Mom? You don't mean..." Gary gasps. "Ashy Boy? Is that you? You were Red this whole time?"

"First of all, stop calling me that name, I don't like it." Ash says with a cold voice as he turns to Professor Oak, "It has been a while, Professor Oak. But I demand some answers." Ash sighs, "Answer me, why do you say those words after I arrived at home?"

Oak says, "What words if I may ask?"

Ash then mimics his voice and says, "I am disappointed in you, I don't know why I will have faith in you, maybe you should give up your dream and do something else, after all, your Pokemon also lose faith in you. So care to explain? You said this is not because that you are controlled, those are in your heart. Now tell me why."

Professor Oak is speechless, since he doesn't think like that, or does he? Professor Oak knows that if he says that he doesn't have that thought, he will not be forgiven. He says, "Ash, I know what I said hurt you the most, but I didn't want you to be in despair because of the continuous loss. I don't know why your Pokemon think like that, but I was wrong."

"I see..." Then he turns to Gary and Tracy, "As for you two...I don't know about Tracy since he wasn't here when this whole thing happened, but Gary, you said you want me to be gone...how about you explain as well?"

Gary is a little terrified at the tone Ash is giving, and he says, "Ashy Boy, it is true that I was jealous of you, so I did want to get rid of you, but now I realized that you are my best friend, having you gone feels not right."

Ash sighs and he turns to Alice, "What do you think?"

Alice says, "He is speaking the truth. So he admits his mistake."

Ash nods and then turns back to the two. "Okay, you are forgiven. But don't think that I will forget. What you said really hurts. So it needs a lot of time to heal."

Oak nods and then Gary asks, "So this is your girlfriend? Ash?"

Ash says, "Yes, Professor. This is Alice, she is the love of my life, not to mention she is Professor Eve's younger sister."

"It is nice to meet you." Alice bows to him. Then they also introduce Ash's adopted siblings to the Professor and he is surprised.

"Well, Professor, it is nice to see you again, but we must leave." Ash says. "Please keep my whereabouts a secret."

"Of course." Oak says as Ash brings everyone back to AK151, they drive back to Sevestar Island so that Insey can become a member of the family. Not only that, she gets the final Bug Legendaries, such as Genesect, Buzzwole, and Pheromosa.

And after learning how Insey likes to bake desserts, Ash and Alice decide to reopen a cafe in the Alola Region, the Resout Café. The disguises, Katie and Sector, were Valerie and Red's disguises, and Valerie also teaches them how to make the Honey Cakes so that they can taste just like what they were in the past.

Here is a new chapter, and this time Insey finally gets into the family. Now that the missing chapters are done, the next one is going to be the start of the Darker Version Chapter 1.
