Subaru stares down at the red-carpeted floor of the city hall. His hand laid over his chest, as he washes with relief. Looking up, he notices minor rubble falling from different areas, due to Reinhard's large attack. Thankfully, everyone seemed to be fine. Beatrice and Emilia were going around, healing the injured.

"What now? They're all dead, right?"

Subaru asks this to Reinhard, who is picking up scattered rubble. "It would appear so. How about we stay at a hotel, just incase if there are any left?" Subaru hears this and nods accordingly. "Sure!"

Subaru completely forgot about one thing. "Ram!" He looks around, searching for any sign of her. Thankfully, she is accompanying Rem, who is being healed from having taken slight injuries after Reinhard's large attack.

A high pitched voice interferes the conversation in between the two.

"If you insist, then I have no choice, I suppose. Hmph!" Subaru looks down to see Beatrice tugging on his sleeve. He smiles. "Don't be so down, Beako!" She shows her usual pouty face towards Subaru's teasing.

"Welcome! What may I do for you?" The recipient woman asked the red haired knight. "We would like five rooms, please." Reinhard explained. She smiled. "Coming right up!" Reinhard grabs his wallet and hands the person at the desk a load of coins. "Thank you very much sir! Here are your cards!" With that, Reinhard retrieved the cards to their rooms.

Everyone entered the lobby of the hotel, except Otto, who was retrieving the carriage back at the bridge. Everyone stood in the hotel lobby talking amongst themselves. Subaru felt a tug on his sleeve. He looks toward the source to see Ram, who gave him a small worried look before turning to the others like nothing happened.

"Alright everyone, let's make our way towards our rooms! I made an order for exactly five rooms! So assign yourselves appropriately!" Reinhard led the group to the third floor of the somewhat modern building. Everyone dispersed into their rooms, Emilia accompanying Subaru and Ram into theirs.

"What is it, Emilia?" Subaru asked Emilia politely. "I wanted to make sure you weren't injured, it was a foolish mistake of mine, not checking on you." Subaru shook his head. "Don't worry about it, I'm alright!" He gives a smile toward the worried girl. Subaru opened the door to their room, and stood in surprise.

"This is a ryokan…"

"Subaru? What's wrong?" Emilia asked Subaru in confusion. Subaru was taken by a large sense of nostalgia. After spending a long time in this world, he didn't give a second thought of Japan. Upon seeing the Japanese traditional room, he was struck with shock and surprise. It was only natural.

"No, I'm fine."

Subaru says in reassurance. Ram gave him a stare, not saying a word. Bringing himself back to consciousness, he turned to Emilia. "Go ahead back to your room." Subaru said with a smile. Emilia nods, and turns back, making her way down the hallway.

Once Emilia was gone, Ram grabbed Subaru's hand and pulled him inside of their room, shutting the door. Subaru carried the momentum of the pull onto the bed that stood against the wall of the room. Ram soon joins him, but keeps her distance.

Silence rang across the room, with the two laying in the bed, backs against each other. "Good work, Barusu." Ram breaks the silence, complementing Subaru. Hearing this, he smiled lightly to himself.

"Thanks Ram…"

He then felt a warm hand slip into his, causing him to blush. He flips over to see Ram closer to him than she was before. He pulled her into an embrace, holding her body against his. He looks down to see her looking up at him. Their eyes met, causing both of them to blush.

Ram wrapped her arms around Subaru's neck, sliding herself upward to be face-to-face with him. In that moment their lips met and so did the sweet smell of her body infiltrating into his nose and washing an ocean of relief over him. This was just what he needed for such a tiring day; being in intimate embrace with the one he loves.

His arms slid down to her waist, tugging her closer. As he was lost in the kiss, a mischievous idea popped into his head. Opening his eyes slightly, Subaru lowers his arms slightly more, to her hips, allowing one of his hands to lay on her rear. He squeezed, which caused Ram's eyes to dart open. Her face becomes as red as a tomato, glancing at Subaru.

They stayed entwined for a couple more moments, until Subaru pulled back. "Haah~ you're so cute Ra-" He was cut off. "Don't think I didn't realize that stunt you pulled. Hmph!" She pouted toward him. Subaru laughed, his face still red.

The two were huddled in bed, enjoying eachother's warmth. A knock on the room's door was made. Subaru looks over to the door, and back at Ram. "Coming!" Subaru gets out of the bed, and attends to opening the door. Emilia stood on the other end.

"Subaru! Ram! It's time to eat!"

Emilia had come to inform the two that lunch was ready. Subaru was still in a semi-dazed state. He completely lost track of time and shook his head, putting his hand over his forehead.. "Oh yeah, it's lunch time."

Ram stood from the bed. "I'm hungry, let's go Barusu." She strode across the room, and exited with Subaru. Emilia was ahead of them by a lot, which inspired Ram to hold Subaru's hand along the short way there. Once making their way downstairs, they noticed a room with two large wide open doors. Stepping inside, Subaru once again was taken by shock.

The room was large, causing any made noise to echo. A large, long table with a snow white silky cloth reaching from one end to the other. Empty, rich plates laid across the marble made table. Candles were lit, giving the large room a calm and welcoming aura. Subaru witnessed the incredible room in front of him.

"Woah…" was the only thing Subaru's consciousness brought to him. Ram stood in front of him, with a small smile, pulling him towards the table. This was truly an unforgettable experience to Subaru.

Ram slid a chair for the dazed Subaru, plopping down onto it. Ram sat next to him, bringing him back to consciousness. "Where are the others?' Subaru asks. Him, Ram, and Emilia were the only ones present in the room at the moment. "Reinhard went to retrieve them, they should be here any moment now." Emilia reassures Subaru.

Soon enough, Reinhard entered with the others. Julius, Otto, Rem, Frederica, and Beatrice. Thankfully they were all safe. Everyone sat down in their seats, and began chatting.

Subaru smiles at the scenery before him. The social environment mixed with the energy the room gave off made Subaru feel as if life was at peace. His hand held tightly onto Ram's.

After a moment of waiting, Subaru raises his eyebrow.

"So, are we gonna order?"

He asks, wanting a response from anyone at the table. "I already made preparations for that." Julius spoke. Subaru's eyes widened slightly, when almost at the same moment, the waiters came into the room.

Ram let go of Subaru's hand from underneath the table, as the waiters came around, giving out multiple dishes to the members. Subaru wonders what Julius could have possibly ordered him, as one of the waiters places a covered platter in front of Subaru.

"Here you go!" The waiter exclaims, removing the top of the covered platter. "Ramen?!" Subaru stared down at the bowl of soup in front of him. Half of a boiled egg, mixed with slices of steak, and seaweed rested above the soft and savory flavored noodles.

Subaru's mouth immediately began to water, as he didn't waste any time to dig into the soup before him. "This is delicious!" Subaru exclaimed, in between multiple bites of the warm ramen.

"You're a pig, Barusu."

Ram commented on Subaru's gluttony, but he was too focused on the deliciousness of the food to respond to the comment.

"Indeed, in fact. Subaru has a good point, I suppose."

Subaru looked to Beatrice, who was sitting to his right. Coincidentally, she was also eating a bowl of ramen, identical to Subaru's. "Guess Julius ordered ramen for spirit, and spirit user." He smiles at Beatrice, as they continue to dig in.

"Damn, now I need to burn off some energy."

Subaru slouched against his chair, with a satisfied look on his face. Ram was busy in conversation with Rem and Emilia.

"How about we go for a walk?" Reinhard proposed the idea.

"Betty disagrees, in fact. Hmph!"

Beatrice pouts, being stubborn as always. "Oh, come on Beako. It'll be fun!" Subaru said in a playful way, patting Beatrice's head. She tilts her head to the side. "Fine, I suppose!"

"That sounds like a great idea!"

Emilia jumped from her seat in excitement. After much commotion, and spending several days in a carriage, it was only natural for her to want to catch a break.

Subaru looked over to Otto, and immediately remembered something. "Otto, you stay behind." Otto immediately looks at Subaru with a priceless expression, and groans. "Am I really being left all alone here?!"

Due to his injury after the Capella incident, Otto was now covered in black, pulsating veins from head to toe. They weren't sure if it was safe for him to go yet.

"Do not worry, Otto. I'll stay behind to protect you."

Frederica spoke to Otto, who was sitting next to him. WIth that, Otto was too flustered to care about where Subaru was going. Julius gets up to accompany the group as they walk out.

"Barusu, Where are we going?" Ram asked Subaru.

"Oh, we're just exploring." He said with a soft smile. Ram scoffs at Subaru once again, "How stupid."

As she says this, Reinhard and the others came to a freezing halt. Subaru and Ram looked ahead to see what was up. A cloaked man stood directly in front of them, facing their direction.

He stood in their way, trying to stop them from proceeding. Subaru steps through the group, and stands by Reinhard.

Subaru's eyes widened at the realization that Emilia was on the ground, in front of the man. "Did she run into him?" Subaru asked himself. The man spoke.

"My apologies."

Subaru froze. Chills were sent down his spine. The voice brought him back to the familiar scene of Ram and him holding each other underneath the shooting star.

"REGULUS?!"

Subaru screamed in shock, as everyone else came to the realization of who the man was.

Being revealed, he grabbed the lips to the hood of his cloak, and pulled them back. His white hair shined in the sunlight, a massive grin crawled across his face, his gold eyes were locked downard, staring at Emilia.

"I suppose I won't have to introduce myself to my bride, then."
