Bella POV
Chapter 20
I could hear everything My Mate and brother were saying to me while I laid there changing. They reminded me of everyone that I loved and of my life. They told me that they were proud of me and that I was so strong.
Eventually my heart sped up before it stopped beating all together. I opened my eyes to my new life and looked around the room before my eyes fell on Jasper and my Mate by the door looking tense.
"Why do you look so tense Jasper?" I could see the confusion on both of their faces. Why were they looking at me like that.
"My Mate we are just not use to a newborn having so much control." I can't help but feel sad when he says this.
"What's wrong my love have I said something wrong?"
I shake my head, "No it's just that of course even as a vampire I can't be normal." This makes both Jasper and Aro laugh. Their laughing is so contagious I end up giggling myself.
"Come sweetheart why don't we get you fed and you can see the rest of the family. They have been waiting anxiously for you to wake."
The moment Aro mentions getting me fed my throat starts burning I reach up to grab it. That's weird I never noticed it before.
I take Aro's hand as he leads me down to the catacombs where I can see three men laying on the ground. Their hearts are still beating so I know that they are alive.
"Go on Cara take all you would like. I will wait here for you to be done." I nod and approach the first man closest to me.
"He's not an innocent is he?" I ask my Mate. I know I didn't want to hurt innocent people, but I also didn't want to try the Cullen's animal diet.
"No my sweet these three were found cornering a young girl in an alley. If Jane and Alec didn't stop them they would've raped her."
With that I bite into the man's neck relishing in the feel of his blood running down my throat. When I am done with him I throw him down and grab the second man draining him just as easily. When I finish with the second male I feel all full and sloushy.
"I am full my Mate, wont you feed? I can see how dark your eyes are." He just looks at me again.
"What, what did I do now?"
"Nothing my love you are just marvelous, most newborns get lost in their feed and can't think straight let alone offer for another to feed off of their meal. You are remarkable my Mate." He kisses me passionately and I can't help but moan.
"Soon my sweet I will feed and you need to see the family….. then you and I will have some alone time to reacquaint ourselves with one another."
Aro feeds on the last man not spilling a drop. Watching him feed turns me on. I can't wait till I can get him alone.
When he is done he drops his meal and takes my hand in his. "Come my love let us go see the family. I know they will be ecstatic to see how controlled you are." I knew if I was human I would be blushing right now.
