He was calm on this day; like any other day since it finally came to an end. He young man who had done so much was sitting in front of a memorial/grave he had set up for his mentor; a man to whom he had looked up to and loved like a father. The pain was still strong, and he wished that he was still with him every single day, but he was thankful for feeling this certain way. An old student of his master, his brother, in a way, taught him that there are many lessons to be learned from what true pain is. The Genin simply smiled as he remembered the short brief moment, he had with his student brother and student sister. "Nagato, Konan, Yahiko." He whispered to himself. He looked around and saw a pile of rocks not far from where he had set up his master's memorial. Smiling, the Genin got up and walked over to where he spotted the rocks and picked up three. He piled them onto his right hand and took out a kunai from his weapons pouch. He sat back down in front of the memorial and used his kunai to write on the stones. On two of them he wrote, "Kyodai", and on the other, "Shisuta"; the first for his two student brothers and the second for his student sister.
"I'm sorry I haven't come around here often," he began. "Things in my life have been finally able to calm down and I couldn't help but take that in." He smiled and looked closely at the memorial stones he placed there. "If you could see me now, I think you'd be proud of who I was and what I have managed to accomplish in my young life. Nagato, you'd be more than happy to see that things have turned out the way our master had envisioned for the world to turn out. Konan, I don't think you would have said much; a simple smile was all that was needed from you and it would say a million words. Yahiko, I didn't meet you; or, the real you at least. I hope that the world we are living in now is one that you had wished to make a reality. Master…" he chuckled. "Pervy Sage…" a tear began to fall from his eye. "I miss you. Granny misses you. Even Orochimaru misses seeing you and your perverted schemes. I think they're the only ones, aside from team 10, to know what it's like to lose their sensei." He went on.
"Geezer Toad and Chief Toad like to talk about you a lot. They remember the days when you first came to their realm. It's nice to hear these things from them. It makes me feel closer to you, even though you're so far away. You wouldn't believe how long it took to find your body and bring it back here to the village. Granny thought I was crazy to go the limit…and yeah, she was right, ya know? Maybe I am crazy for going so far, but I had a crazy old, perverted sensei to teach me how to be a powerful Shinobi." He said with a smile. "If you could see me now – see how I've master Kyuubi's power…I think you'd be happy to see me."
He smiled and looked up to the sky; picturing that his family was looking down on him with great big smiles on their faces. He got up and began said his goodbyes. "I'll come by more often; I promise, ya know!"
He smiled and began walking back home.
