Chapter 1:

Konoha has nearly won the Second Shinobi War. Even though they had nearly won this war, their losses were quite heavy. The Third Hokage gave the order to build up their strengths.

As the end of the Second Shinobi War drew near, Tsunade left the village under the pretext that staying in the village depressed her. The Third Hokage was powerless to convince her to stay.

Uzumaki Mito, the wife of Senju Hashirama, let her granddaughter leave so that she could get over her lover's death.

Around this time, a young boy entered the Konoha. He was halted at the gates of the Konoha, and some Chunins stepped forward before asking him, "Who are you?"

"Senju Araki." The boy spoke out his name while puffing his chest a little. No matter what he says, he couldn't help but be proud of his clan, which had such a great history.

However, contrary to his expectations, the Chunins started laughing out loud. They hadn't heard such a good joke. For someone to come while claiming to be a member of the Senju Family?!

It was a well-known fact that only Senju Tsunade was the living descendant of the Senju Hashirama.

"Kiddo, at least think about the joke a little. But still, you did make me laugh a lot. Now, tell me your real name." The words of this Chunin really irritated Araki.

He stared at the Chunin for some seconds before saying, "Go and ask someone from my Senju Clan to come. They would surely know about my father, Senju Ramatsu!"

Seeing the kid being so stubborn about this matter, the chunin stepped forward with a stern look, saying, "Kid, I can tolerate this joke one more time. After that, I won't hesitate to take action against you for trying to declare yourself a member of the Senju Clan."

At this moment, Araki understood, this chunin before himself wouldn't understand anything no matter what he says.

"Hmph… Father did say that this could occur if I go to Konoha alone. He told me to not use my special ability unless it's really urgent. Maybe this is the time…" Araki stretched out his hand and closed his eyes. He concentrated heavily for some time.

The Chunin was growing angry at seeing Araki standing there, not at all going away. He was about to move when suddenly, his eyes focused on the ground right in front of Araki.

Something was moving in the ground. What was it? This question appeared in his head. But he didn't plan on thinking about it too deeply.

Just as he was ready to make his move again to apprehend this child, the ground right in front of Senju Araki twitched, and a small bud of a plant was released! Its height was only 10 or so centimetres. And it's width was quite small.

However, seeing this small bud shocked the chunin utterly. He then raised his head and saw Araki looking at him cheekily.

"Hehehe… Father said this will definitely shock anyone who sees it. So? How do you like it? I have the same ability as my grandpa Hashirama! Does this prove anything?" Araki said with an amused tone, happy to have shocked this chunin.

The Chunin immediately turned towards his friend and said, "Go and inform the Hokage-sama! Ask him to come here. This is of utmost importance!"

His friend nodded and went away to call on for the Third Hokage. He also realised just how urgent the situation was.

The Chunin meanwhile turned towards Senju Araki and says, "It was my fault to have not acknowledged Senju-sama."

Senju Araki rubbed the back of his head shyly as he heard the chunin and says, "It's alright. Can you bring me to the Senju Clan? Father used to tell me all sorts of stories about the clan. I really want to see the Senju Clan Manor."

"Please wait for some time here, Senju-Sama. Hokage-sama must be on his way to get here. Once he verifies your identity, he will personally take you to the Senju Clan Manor."

"Okie~!" Senju Araki agrees to wait for some time. He had heard that Hokage was the head of the village. Previously, it used to be his grandpa and granduncle, and now, it was their student, Sarutobi Hiruzen.

Soon enough, a middle-aged man appeared, with some wrinkles on his face and a red coloured hat of the Hokage. He was followed by the chunin's friend from earlier.

Araki stared at the Hokage quite curiously, while thinking 'So this is the head of the village. Bleh…'

The Hokage stared at Araki for some moments before he asked him kindly, "Are you the one claiming to be from the Senju Clan?"

"Yups! Don't you see this cute bud?! I had to concentrate a lot to create this!" Araki said while puffing his cheeks. He was pointing his finger at the bud.

The Hokage did saw the small bud which had grown to the height of 10 centimetres. However, he couldn't help but become perplexed about it.

He asked a little cautiously, "Who is your father?"

"Hmm… Father's name is Senju Ramatsu!" Araki says his father's name quite proudly.

The Hokage's eyes narrowed at the name. He had indeed heard about the younger son of Senju Hashirama. The one who had left the village shortly after his wife's death to figure out the identities of the preparators.

He stared at Araki's face, "Where is your father?"

The bright expression on Araki fell. On that face, a gloomy yet raging expression appeared which stared into the Hokage's eyes, "He is dead."

Sucking a breath of cold air even though he expected this response, the Hokage couldn't help but become a little melancholic himself. For his teacher to have lost both his sons…

He stared at the young child who was only of the only remaining grandchildren of Senju Hashirama!

"Alright, I will take you to the Senju Clan Manor. Come, your grandma is still there. She will be delighted to see you." The Hokage said, in an attempt to cheer up the young child.

"Grandma?! Yatta!" Instantly, the gloomy feeling around Araki dispersed. A look of excitement appeared on his face.

At that moment, they heard an old, seemingly ancient voice filled with gentleness, "There is no need for you to trouble yourself, monkey. I will take my grandson to the Clan Manor."

Only a single person in the whole village dared to call the Third Hokage a monkey. It was none other than Uzumaki Mito. Mito had long, bright red hair and large, pupilless eyes. She had a kind look on her face as she gazed at Araki.

For some reason, Araki sensed a strange familiarity with this woman. It was like this woman was incomparably important to him like his father was. Who was this woman? Wait… Did she just call him, her grandson? Was she his grandmother?

At that moment, the Hokage turned towards Uzumaki Mito and speaks with a startled look, "Mito-sama! There was no need to personally come here! I was about to take him to the Senju Clan Manor myself."

"Nonsense! Do I need a reason to come and greet my dear grandson, monkey? Go and return to your office. Hokage shouldn't be so free to intervene in the matters of the Senju Clan!" Mito said in a decisive tone. The Hokage had no choice but to return to the office with a gloomy expression.

"Waah! Are you really my grandma? Father said you would be an old woman by now with white hairs. Are you an imposter?" Araki spoke out while pointing at Mito.

The Chunins next to Araki broke out in a cold sweat. They were well aware of who Uzumaki Mito was. Calling her the most dangerous woman in the village wasn't exaggerated by any means. For this child to call her an imposter…

"That little rascal. So this is what Rama-chan has been telling his child about his mother. Good thing he isn't here, or else I would have spanked him like I did before." She said it with such an amused tone.

Immediately, Araki jumped towards her, "Waah! You really are my grandma! Are you really that same grandma Mito?"

Mito gently nodded her head to answer her grandson's question. She didn't ask about her son because she could anticipate the result of her younger son if only Araki had come. He was probably killed by the assassins who wanted to destroy the Senju Clan. It was fortunate enough that her grandson was still alive. Another good thing was that he didn't reveal his Mokuton anywhere other than Konoha! He would have been hounded to death, otherwise!

"Grandma, you are so fierce. You even made the Hokage return with your word." Araki said to his grandma while hugging her tightly with his little arms.

Smiling at these words, Mito replied, "He is just a little monkey for me. If you want. You can call him monkey too."

"Really! Yay!" He cheered out as if he had some weapon to use against the Hokage now.

In the other part of the village, The Hokage sneezed loudly, feeling as if something terrible had just happened.

Mito and Araki continued to walk for some time, and they soon arrived at the Senju Clan Manor. Seeing the Clan Manor, Araki couldn't help but let out a whistle of surprise.

"Woah! This is going to be my house?! AWESOME!" He said that letting go of Mito's hand and running towards the Senju Clan Manor.

The guards were about to stop him at the gate, but Mito gave them a fierce glare. The guards couldn't help but back away when they saw that glare.

As they backed away, there was no one to block Araki from entering the Senju Clan Manor. Araki didn't even bother removing his sandals and ran inside the Mansion in excitement.

Mito had a gentle smile on her face as she slowly followed her grandson. It was quite lovely to see a bundle of energy running around.

The guards soon closed the entrance after she entered. Mito followed after her grandson and found him roaming around the house. It seemed that he was opening one door after another to meet someone else from the Senju Clan.

However, he was bound to be disappointed. After opening and closing around 20 or so doors, Araki was slowly lowered his head and didn't understand just why couldn't he see anyone here.

He then turned his head and saw his grandma coming towards him. An idea appeared in his head as he rushed towards his grandma, asking her with a curious expression, "Grandma, grandma, why can't I see anyone else here? Father told me that there used to live so many people in the Senju Clan Manor. Why isn't anyone here now?"

Mito kneeled to his height and rubbed his black hair. Looking into Araki's emerald green eyes, she says, "They are dead. Just like how Rama-chan has been killed. Now, tell me what happened. I can sense that this isn't the real you." Mito's gentle voice seemed to have startled Araki who backed away a little in fear.

He gulped down a mouthful of saliva in nervousness. He took a deep breath in to calm himself, it was rather strange to see a child of 7-years-old trying to calm himself.

After he did calm himself, there was a sharp gaze from his emerald eyes which caught Mito's attention, Araki asked with a cold voice, "How did you know?"

A smile broke out on Mito's face as she replied, "This grandma hasn't gone senile in her age… I could sense your negative emotions from the other side of the village. Your appearance is also similar to my son. And I was surprised to see that one of our grandchildren had finally inherited Hashi's Mokuton."

Chapter 2:

Senju Araki informed his grandmother, Mito about all that happened. They used to travel a lot in the Land of Fire. Mostly living in small villages which had little to do with Shinobis. Ramatsu helped out some people in need, but mostly, he minded his own business. And that was to take care of Araki.

They even travelled through the forests, survived on fruits, and some animal's meat. Araki did feel that life was hard, but he was happy. Happy to be living with his father, hearing about the stories of his grandpa and granduncle.

At the young age of 4, Araki awakened a unique ability and informed his father that he could somehow sense mysterious life from the plants. It was like he loved the forests and found them really comforting. Even Ramatsu was startled when he heard about the ability from Araki.

Ramatsu taught him a few hand seals and asked him to perform a Jutsu. Araki hadn't even awakened his chakra at that point. However, the point of this Jutsu was to check whether the individual had the bloodline or not. At that time, Araki took his father's words at face value and performed tried his best at performing the Jutsu.

He failed for 3-4 times before a small twig rose from the ground. Its height wasn't even 2-3 cm, but it delighted Ramatsu more than anything!

Ramatsu didn't dare to think of such a possibility of his son awakening the Legendary Mokuton, the bloodline of his father!

One day, Ramatsu called out to Araki and told him that if he did die someday, Araki must not lose hope.

He further informed Araki that he must go to Konoha and become the Senju Clan's Head and also investigate his mother's death. At that time, Araki didn't care much about his father's words. For him, there was no chance that his father would die, right? As for becoming the head of Senju Clan, although he was proud of his clan, he had no interest in becoming a Clan Head. As for investigating his mother's death?

He didn't care much. He had never even seen his mother. He wasn't attached to her, so he didn't feel sad even when Ramatsu informed him that his mother was murdered.

However, when one time he had gone after a rabbit to hunt it. He managed to hunt it, but by the time he returned, his father was nowhere to be seen.

Araki used his unique ability to sense his father's location. Within the forest, he found that he could effortlessly locate someone with this ability. It felt like the forest was giving him instructions.

His father was quite far from their shack. Nearly 2-3 miles away. By the time Araki reached the place, he couldn't believe his eyes! His father was there with 3 blades embedded in his body, and a lifeless look in his eyes.

At that time, he ran towards his father's corpse and pulled out the blades which let out even more of his father's blood. Araki didn't even realise when a cut appeared on his hands while he was pulling out these blades from his father's corpse.

For the next hour, he continued to ask his father to wake up. To get up from there even though he had a faint suspicion that it was useless.

It was like the rabbit he had hunted. His father would never wake up.

As this realisation caught up with him, his tears fell on the ground. Slowly losing hope… To him, his entire life was turned upside down with this incident.

At that point, he remembered the words of his father. To go to the Hidden Village of Leaves. To Konoha!

After having travelled around for an entire month, living on nothing but raw fruits and vegetables which he found through his sensing ability, he finally reached Konoha.

Currently, he was lying in Mito's lap while narrating the whole story, embracing her tightly. After having narrated his whole story, he fell asleep in her embrace.

As Mito heard her grandson's story, she never showed anything other than the gentle smile on her face. She silently put him on the comfortable bed before getting up.

An ice-cold look appeared in her eyes as she looked out of the window of her room. From here, she could see, nearly half of the Konoha. This was the village her husband founded.

"It seems that no matter what happens, people will not treasure peace, husband. This was the last straw… I did not move when my first son died because it was war. Not moved when they killed Nawaki since it was war. I didn't make a move even when Rama-chan's wife died and let him leave to investigate his wife's death. But now… I have had enough!" Her each word was spoken with a bone-chilling cold voice.

"Since Hiruzen doesn't dare to investigate… I will take matters into my hands! Let's see if someone dares to kill my grandson now!" Mito was beyond infuriated. She was absolutely livid.

Araki felt really relaxed after putting out all his feelings, informing his grandma of all that happened. After a month, he could finally sleep in peace. Not at all worried about anything.

He had no idea that his grandmother was utterly enraged and was taking action! The first thing Mito did was wrote a letter to Hiruzen.

"Get me the assassins who killed my younger son Ramatsu! I don't care about their village or who they are, they must appear in front of my eyes within a week. Or else, I will just give a treat to Kyuubi. I wonder if a God of Shinobi like you can take on Kyuubi and win? Hashi could do it, I doubt about you though. And give a warning to Danzo, touch my grandson, I will bury him alive!"

The message frightened Hiruzen to no end. He knew what this meant, it has gone far past her tolerance. He had a faint suspicion that Ramatsu's wife's death was the work of the Hidden Village of Stone, Iwa Village. They probably hired some rogue ninja and had poisoned Ramatsu's wife. If Hiruzen had decided to listen to Ramatsu at that point and tried to investigate, he could have found the killer.

But Hiruzen didn't choose to do so. Why? Because he didn't feel that Ramatsu's wife was important enough that he must send his shinobis to investigate her death. There was also a chance that it could be a work of Iwa Shinobi and it could further aggravate the latter.

After Ramatsu found out that Konoha wouldn't even lift a finger to search for the killer of his wife's death, he decided to leave the village. It showed him just how ungrateful the Hokage can be. And there was not even a point of speaking to that war mongrel Danzo.

As Ramatsu left the village along with his son, Araki, he decided to investigate about the killer's identity by himself. He travelled to the Cloud, to Iwa, and then back to Konoha when Araki turned 2 years old.

Chapter 3:

By the time Araki woke up, he didn't realise, but the Hokage had sent multiple missions to find out the assassins who killed Ramatsu! There was no point of angering that old lady even further. She could really destroy the village if she wished. Moreover, she didn't even need a shinobi under her to accomplish the task.

She alone was sufficient with her sealing knowledge and that entity inside of her. Moreover, even if Mito did destroy Konoha, it wouldn't be like she wouldn't have a place to return to.

The Uzumaki Village was alright for now. Even though he had heard information about the other three Hidden Villages making preparations to take on the Uzumaki Village, there was no way they would dare to make their move right now.

Hiruzen didn't dare to make any move to protect the Uzumaki Village. Why? Because Konoha was already on its last legs at this moment. Tsunade wasn't here. Jiraiya was in Ame, training three apprentices and managing his spy network. Only Orochimaru was available from his disciples. And the White Fang, Hatake Sakumo. However, even though Sand Village had lost, they were still on edge.

Especially that old lady Chiho, she was still mad about her son and daughter-in-law's death and would show no hesitation in attacking Konoha if they showed a slight weakness on the front lines.

Instead of saving Uzumaki Village, he had thought up of a crafty scheme to benefit from the destruction of the Uzumaki Village.

However, he realised that the presence of Araki had pretty much crushed quite a lot his schemes. Why? Because it seemed that upon his presence, Mito wouldn't take things lying down anymore.

He pitied his old comrade Danzo even more. He knew that once Danzo finds out that Araki had awakened Mokuton, he would want to make him a root ninja. However, with the presence of Mito Uzumaki, it was all but impossible for him to do anything now! In fact, he would be digging his own grave by crossing that old woman.

For the next 3-4 days, Araki continued to live without any worries. He didn't know what he should do, and so Mito was imparting him information of what was going on in the world. About the war, about her other granddaughter, Senju Tsunade. It was said that she was roaming the land, gambling and drinking sake. Although Mito was a little worried about Tsunade, she was aware that with her strength, there was no need to be worried about her.

In just 3-4 days, Araki felt like he had been imparted a tremendous amount of information. He didn't realise that the Second Shinobi War was almost over.

While Araki had been imparted with a tremendous amount of information, the Hokage couldn't even sleep in peace. Even in his dreams, he saw a giant Nine-Tailed Fox being released and it was destroying the village with every swipe of its tail. Or maybe that fearful 'Bijudama'. He shivered at the mere thought of that blast hitting the village.

However, he was relieved when someone finally delivered a piece of good news. It was that the assassins who killed Araki's father were caught.

A little relieved and excited that they had been caught, the Third Hokage didn't dare to delay and took them to the Senju Clan Manor while their Chakras were sealed.

He soon reached the Senju Clan Manor while dragging the three Assassins.

Mito could easily sense that te Third Hokage was coming. She had asked the guard to open the gate and let him enter. With that, the Third Hokage waited for Mito and Araki to arrive in the courtyard.

Soon enough, Araki arrived with his new clothes with the Senju Clan Emblem on his back. Mito wanted him to wear the Uzumaki Clan's clothes, but Araki wanted to wear the clothes with Senju Clan's Symbol since he wanted to be like his grandpa, Hashirama.

Muttering something along the lines of "That emblem is so bad. Uzumaki Clan's symbol is so much better." But anyway, she respected his choice and they soon got out of the Mansion.

Staring at the Hokage, Araki was a little surprised. He looked even more surprised when he saw three men in cuffs behind the Third Hokage, he asked curiously, "Who are these three?"

The Hokage didn't know whether he should answer right now or not. Mito though nodded her head and allowed the Hokage to speak, "These three are the ones who killed your father."

"What?!" Araki let out a shout of surprise, he stared at the faces of these three shinobis. His expression changed from curiosity to that of absolute anger.

"You were the one who killed my father?!" He was half asking them this question.

None of these three moved their mouth. Although these three were scared of what would happen, these three wouldn't speak anything.

"Why did you do it?!" Realising that he wouldn't receive his answer by asking like that, he asked them clearly.

Still, he received no answer.

"I. ASKED. WHY. DID. YOU. DO. IT?!" His chakra seemed to have awakened at that moment, and a shockwave was felt by Mito and Sarutobi Hiruzen.

Usually, when a shinobi awakens his chakra, it isn't visible to the eyes. Araki's chakra was very much visible to Mito and Hiruzen's eyes. They noticed how it was condensing on Araki's body.

Some plants started to grow from the ground as his chakra seeped into the ground! At that moment, the complexion of the three assassins changed. All three of them had the same thought in their mind.

'Shit! We should have killed him!'

Their thoughts were because this child had the Mokuton. In other words, he had the Bloodline of Senju Hashirama! The one person who posed their village the most significant threat from the Senju Clan wasn't going to be Senju Tsunade, it would be this boy!

Mito stepped forward, placing a hand on Araki. It was to calm him down. She was well aware of how much Araki hated these three Shinobis in front of him. The Kyuubi did give her the ability to sense Negative Emotions.

"Calm down. Let grandma take care of this." She said before moving a step further.

Her eyes were ice-cold as she stared at the three shinobis. She asked them, "I wonder if you are aware of me."

One of the three Shinobis let out a weak chuckle, "How can we be unaware of Uzumaki Mito."

"Good, that makes it easier. Tell me who ordered you to kill my younger son." The three were unsure of what to say at that moment. They could stay silent while Araki asked them, but Mito… She was a monster.

Just the pressure generating from her chakra was enough to make them kneel in her presence. They were sure that even without these Anti-Chakra Cuffs, it would be suicide to go against this old woman!

"My grandchild is kind. He will only kill you and forget this rage. But do remember, I am Hashirama's Wife, although I cannot capture all bijuus. But, I can assure you that I do have the power to flatten a village. Do you dare doubt me?!" Her voice was filled with a strange arrogance. In fact, the three didn't even doubt if she could do this or not. They were sure she was capable of this!

Mito was far from finished though, she added with an even intimidating aura, "If you think I cannot find out about your village if you remain silent, then you are extremely foolish. This monkey could capture you in three days and bring you in front of me. I am sure he can present me with your information in the next 3 days. It's better if you open your mouth or even I won't like what I am about to do next."
