Seven Months Later

Nagrand, Outland

The last sacred ground of the orcs, Nagrand, was under heavy assault by the Burning Legion. The remaining uncorrupted orcs fought bravely but were steadily losing ground. The open fields of the Nagrand was a battlefield that suited the orcs, wide, open and expansive. Unfortunately, this kind of terrain favored the Legion much better as the gunships rained down destruction from above. The orcs were also aided by the Draenei, who tried to fight with their own ships, but were still losing ground. They were easily overpowered by their corrupted brethren, the Fel Orcs, and that is nothing to say about the demons that were rampaging through

Many of the demons were even setting down corruptors, machines the Legion had made to make the ground barren and lose life. The fact that the demons in charge of the corruptors barely had any interference only further aggravated the orcs

"ENOUGH!" an orc said to the retreating Draenei and orcs. "These corrupt imbeciles have threatened our lives long enough. No more retreating. FIGHT THEM ON!" he yelled and charged at the incoming onslought

The demons grinned at this thinking that orc was stupid but to their surprise, he cleaved through demon after demon, fel orc after fel orc

"Hellscream!" one of the Draenei yelled

"What? Are you gonna sit there or are you going to fight?!" Garrosh yelled back before his attention was diverted when a laughing lizard was making the ground tremble with his footsteps. He glared at the source and saw who it belonged to. "Magtheridon." he hissed

"Hello again, Hellscream. I didn't think I would see you all the way out here." Magtheridon mocked as more of his forces attacked while Garrosh was distracted

"You actually dare attack Nagrand? The sacred ground of the Orcs?!" Garrosh said and released a battle cry before charging at the pit lord

Magtheridon's minions quickly moved to defend him but the pit lord merely raised his hand which caused all of them to focus on the remaining defenders. Just as Garrosh was about to cleave Magtheridon in two with a downward slash, the pit lord simply blocked it with his spear. Garrosh tried a direct frontal assault but Magtheridon swatted him aside. At this point, it became clear that Magtheridon was simply toying with his enemy. Garrosh let out another battle cry before throwing his axe at the pit lord, which only ended up grazing his arm. The orc then quickly rushed over and picked up a nearby fel guard blade with the full intention of running the pit lord through. Magtheridon wasn't at all bothered by this and brought his spear down when Garrosh got close, instantly killing him and pinning his body to the ground

"Hellscream!" an orc yelled before he was incinerated by a doom guard

"These orcs are pathetic." Magtheridon commented, comparing the regular orcs with his fel orcs. "Finish them now." he ordered and teleported away. His army then appeared to retreat before the intentions were revealed. The gunships rained down another volley at the helpless Draenei and Orcs but this time, some of the rounds turned into infernals and fel reavers

In only a matter of hours, Nagrand has fallen under the control of Magtheridon, leaving behind an army to maintain his hold in this region

Black Temple

A fel orc warlock was moving through the temple's hallways heading straight for the throne room at the temple's peak. The Lord of Outland had left the battlefield after killing Garrosh Hellscream simply to spite them with the thought that the Mag'har Orcs were not worth the pit lord's time. Eventually, the warlock made his way to the throne room and the guards let him in

"Lord Magtheridon." the warlock said after kneeling

"Speak." Magtheridon ordered

"All of Nagrand is now under our control." the warlock answered. "Zangarmarsh, Blade's Edge Mountains, and the Hellfire Peninsula is now firmly under our control with both Fel Orcs and Demons setting up strongholds. Only Terokkar Forest remains under the Draenei and their city, Shattrath."

"I see. Good work." Magtheridon commended and the warlock merely bowed in response. "Leave if that is all." he said and the warlock obeyed

When the warlock left, three figures came out of the shadows, two dreadlords and a doom guard

"So, everything is proceeding as planned." Kruul said when he knew no one else could hear

"Indeed. However, we did use up more resources than anticipated to conquer the rest of Outland." Mal'ganis added

"True, but that cannot be avoided." Mephistroth pointed out. "Phase one is now complete. Does everyone know their assignments?" he asked and they all acknowledged. "Very well then." he said and summoned their master. "Lord Kil'jaeden, the conquest of Outland was a success. As planned, only the Draenei in Terokkar Forest remains." the dreadlord reported when a hologram of the deceiver appeared

"Excellent." Kil'jaeden commended and opened a portal from Argus. The one who came through was Varimathras who was carrying a specific package

"What is that, my lord?" Magtheridon asked the deceiver about what the third dreadlord was carrying right as the portal closed

"That is the key to our next invasion of Azeroth. Now, you should already know what your part is. Begin phase two." Kil'jaeden ordered

Blade's Edge Mountains

In the Blade's Edge Mountains, the Legion killed off their prisoners in two different areas. When the bodies of the draenei fell, demonic runes appeared before disappearing completely

Nagrand

Not that far away from the borders between Nagrand and Zangarmarsh, a demon gate has just finished constructing and Mephistroth was overseeing it personally

"Is it finished?" Mephistroth asked the fel orcs building it

"Yes, Lord Mephistroth, structurally at least. The magical part is still in question. We will need to test it first before it can be used to bring in reinforcements." a fel orc replied

"No. If it is ready to open a gateway then it's good enough." Mephistroth answered and the fel orcs looked at each other in confusion. The dreadlord then looked towards an elevated area in the borders and realized that the Kruul didn't screw this up. "I will take it from here. Continue building the defenses but be ready to retreat to Zangarmarsh if anything goes wrong. We can always take over this area again if we lose our hold. Good work." the dreadlord complimented and the fel orcs obeyed

Hellfire Peninsula

In four different areas the Hellfire Peninsula, the Legion killed their Draenei prisoners. In two of the locations, demonic runes appeared around the fallen bodies before disappearing completely

In the meantime, a large army of demons began amassing in the area separating the Hellfire Peninsula from Terokkar Forest. The demons were soon joined by more fel orcs

"Let us take these Draenei down, Highlord Kruul." Jubei'thos asked the doom guard commanding them

"Patience, Jubei'thos. The time to attack will come soon enough and it will not be too long." Kruul replied. In a matter of minutes, Mephistroth teleported right behind them. "Leave us." he ordered and Jubei'thos, along with other demons and fel orcs, left promptly, leaving the dreadlord and the doom guard alone. "Is it finished?" Kruul asked

"Yes, the demon gate in Nagrand is finished." Mephistroth answered before surveying the forces gathered. "What about the prisoners from Nagrand?"

"We have them captured in the borders between Zangarmarsh and Nagrand. As planned, it will not be too hard for them to reach the demon gate you built in the so called sacred grounds. In fact, I think they even saw it being built." Kruul answered

"Perfect. Now all that remains is to speak with Magtheridon. Phase two is now complete. In an hour, begin phase three." Mephistroth ordered. When the doom guard nodded and the dreadlord teleported away

Kruul then began walking towards the outpost and found Kargath Bladefist and Jubei'thos waiting for him. "Bladefist, Jubei'thos, we are ready. I will leave the control of our forces here to you. You are free to attack Terokkar Forest in an hour but not before. Is that clear?" he asked

"Yes, Highlord." both Kargath and Jubei'thos said in unison

"Do not recklessly attack the Draenei's city. It will not go down easy and we will lose a lot of forces trying to take it over." Kruul warned before he walked away

Zangarmarsh

In three different locations in Zangarmarsh, a small group of demons brought some captured Draenei to each specific locations. After his warning to the fel orcs on attacking Shattrath, Kruul went to Zangarmarsh to pay a visit to the Nagrand prisoners

"Vile demon. You will pay for desecrating our home." an orcish prisoner called out when Kruul was strolling around

The doom guard merely eyed him in amusement before using his magic to draw the orc towards him. With the fences, it ended up slamming the orc on the prison fence. "Foolish orc. You think you can still survive against the Legion?" Kruul said as he grabbed the orc by the head while laughing maniacally. The doom guard then threw him back into the other prisoners who glared at the demon, who was now moving towards the prison's exit. "Make sure they don't escape." he ordered to the fel orc guards before teleporting away. What none of them realized was that Kruul's real purpose for checking on the prisoners was something else entirely

Black Temple

At this point, all the bodies killed in the various areas of Outland have disappeared in fel fire.

Varimathras, Mephistroth and Mal'ganis were already in the throne room alone with Magtheridon when Kruul teleported in

"Kruul. How much time did you give before Bladefist attacks the forest?" Magtheridon asked when the doom guard teleported in

"An hour. However, I have my doubts they will even obey." Kruul answered

"It hardly matters." Mephistroth said before looking at the doom guard then to his fellow dreadlord. "Is everything else ready?" he asked

"On my end, it is. I personally saw to it." Kruul answered

"The experiments were a success. As such, we did the same to the prisoners Magtheridon has gathered ever since Lord Archimonde entered Azeroth and we have killed them in the designated locations." Mal'ganis answered. "Phase two is complete."

Mephistroth nodded before looking at the pit lord. "Are you certain that only the five of us know of the plan?"

"Yes, none of my servats know of this plan." Magtheridon answered. The dreadlord glared at him for a few moments, wondering if the pit lord was lying

"Very well. Phase two is a success so the three of us will retreat to Argus. Phase three begins now. I'll leave the rest to you." Mephistroth ordered before looking at Varimathras. "Remember brother, you have one of the most crucial parts of this plan. Do not fail us." he said

"I understand, Mephistroth. I will do whatever is necessary for us to succeed." Varimathras said and his superior then merely glared at him

"Very well. Mal'ganis, Kruul and I will take our leave. Sever all connections to Argus." Mephistroth ordered before creating a portal with the Sargerite Keystone and leaving

"It would seem that this is all in our hands now." Varimathras commented

"Indeed." Magtheridon said before he began casting a spell to do what was recently discussed. Varimathras soon aided him in severing all links to the heart of legion territory

Terokkar Forest

Two hours later

The Legion's forces have already entered the Terokkar Forest from the Hellfire Peninsula. As expected, they encounted heavy resistance. Being the area that is controlled by the Draenei, they were barely giving them an inch. The Draenei were even using their own ships to shoot down the Legion's gunships and at the same time, slaughtering the incoming offensive. This has been going on for over an hour now

A draenei warrior was making his way through the city of Shattrath and was heading straight towards the central hall. "Lord A'dal!" he warrior called out when he arrived

"What is the situation?" A'dal asked

"For now, we are holding off the offensive. However, I fear that in a matter of days, the Legion will exhaust all our resources while they have a near infinite supply." the warrior said and everyone present grimaced, including Velen. What the warrior said was true. No one outside the Legion knows how many troops they have and what other horrors they have yet to unleash upon their victims

"It would seem that we would need to prepare an evacuation plan." a draenei leader said

"But how, we do not have a ship for interstellar travel." another draenei pointed out

"Have faith in the Light." A'dal said before the discussion could turn into an argument. "We shall not fall to the Burning Legion. Our salvation shall come soon enough and not in the way we expect it to be." he said but no one was that comforted

Zangarmarsh

While the all the Legion's forces in the outpost were occupied with their assault, the draenei and orc prisoners clinged on to the last bit of hope that they would escape and when the guards were away, an orc tried to pry away at the prison but found it not too difficult to break open

"Wait." a draenei said before his fellow inmates could get that much progress

"What?" an orc asked

"If we do break the locks, where are we supposed to go? We'll only get slaughtered." the draenei answered

"It beats being the demon's pets." another orc answered

Another draenei then looked around and over the ridge, he saw the demon gate right over the borders to Nagrand, which she saw was active. "What about that?" he asked, pointing towards said object

"Are you insane? We'll only end up in another Legion world." another orc pointed out

"We need to have faith in the Light that we will find allies on the other side." the draenei answered

"Forgive us if we don't share your faith, but he does make a point." the first orc answered. "It's either we escape that way, remain imprisoned and get moved to a different location or we break out and get killed. The path to the demon gate seems straightforward enough and not that guarded but we will get injured going down the ridge." he pointed out

All the prisoners looked at each other and weighed their options. The path towards Shattrath would be a massive battlefield while on all sides were territory under the Legion's control

"We're out of options and while the guards are outside, we should make a run for the demon gate. I hate to say it but the Draenei makes sense." a different orc said and surprisingly, all of the other prisoners agreed to it

"Alright. Then stand back." a female draenei said and channeled her powers

"How in the hell are you able to use your powers?" the first orc asked in surprise

"I'm not sure. I've been slowly regaining my powers since we heard the orcs cheered when they launched their attack." she answered honestly before after a few minutes, the locks to the prison broke. "It won't be long before the guards check up on us. It's now or never."

"Then we make a run for it." an orc said before they all made towards the prison entrance. As expected, there were a lot of fel orcs guarding the prison

"The prisoners!" a fel orc said before attacking. Another fel orc quickly ran the other way to inform the outpost of a prison break. Before more guards could enter, the female draenei killed them with a blast of holy magic

"Quickly!" the orc from earlier said and they jumped off the ridge

More fel orcs soon arrived but were too late as they were already on the way down. "Damn it. Why did that damned Magtheridon had the prison built here?" he grumbled, knowing the pit lord won't be pleased at all

"That may be but we have forces in Nagrand. They won't get far." another fel orc said

In the meantime, the orc and draenei prisoners reached the bottom of the ridge and to their surprise, the demon gate wasn't that guarded. Their relief was short lived when fel guards suddenly came charging at them

"Lout out!" one of the orcs said and alerted his comrades to the incoming demons. The female draenei sorceress then used her powers and made them invisible

"What? Where are they?" a fel guard asked

"These orcs are incompetent. How hard is it to keep lowly mortals imprisoned." the fel guard leader raged. "Find them before they reach Zangarmarsh or the Terokkar Forest!" he ordered and they all dispersed

"My spell won't last long. We have to move." the draenei sorceress said when the demons left. They all then moved out, careful not to do anything stupid. Eventually, they reached the demon gate just in time as the invisibility spell wore off. Almost immediately, they were hit by a large fireball which threw them all away, killing some of the draenei instantly and injuring the orcs to the point of near death

"Just go. We'll hold them off." an orc said to the draenei sorceress and the other two draenei

"But what about..." a draenei objected

"Just go. Have faith." the orc said with a smile. The three draenei then smiled back but before the third one can go through the gate, a warlock managed to kill him with a lightning bolt. Not long after that, all the prisoners were killed by the Legion

Unbeknownst to the draenei and orcs, Magtheridon had cast his own invisibility spell and watched the entire event unfold. He then established a telepathic link. 'Mephistroth, this is Magtheridon.'

'Report.' Mephistroth demanded

'Phase three is a success. Now it is only a matter of time before phase four begins.' Magtheridon said before he teleported back to the temple

'Perfect. Lord Kil'jaeden will be pleased.' Mephistroth said before cutting off the connection

Dalaran, Azeroth

Much to the draenei's relief, they did not wind up in a world controlled by the Burning Legion however, their relief was lost instantly when they saw the surroundings filled with scarred land and dead trees. When they observed their surroundings, they realized they were on top of a hill and nearby was a stronghold

"At least there are no demons around." the male draenei said

As soon as he said that, they were surrounded by lots of undead and both could tell, these were the creations of the Legion

"You spoke too soon." the female draenei said as she mentally prayed. Just when the undead were about to attack, they heard footsteps heading towards them. Much to their surprise, it looked like a high elf except the skin was very pale. "A High Elf? Thank the Light." she said but the footstep's owner merely tilted her head in confusion

"Your kind is not of this world. Who are you? And how do you know about the high elves?" the owner said, which was a dark ranger

"We are the Draenei. We need help against the Burning Legion." the female said. The dark ranger narrowed her eyes at this information. She should kill them both right now but the information they have could prove to be crucial. More importantly, they need to be aware of how they entered into this world

"Stand down." the dark ranger ordered to her forces so they would stop being somewhat aggressive. Knowing she couldn't tell if these two were demons or not, she decided to call in who can. 'Lady Illysanna, this is Anya Everwind. We have a situation and I need your help. I'm on the hill outside Dalaran.' she telepathically said

A few minutes later, Illysanna came flying out of Dalaran towards the hill where Archimonde was summoned. She soon found the dark ranger and a small group of undead with two unknown creatures

"Lady Illysanna." Anya greeted in respect before looking at the draenei. "These two claim that they need help against the Burning Legion." she said

"I see." Illysanna said as she realized what Anya needed, her spectral sight to see if they were demons in disguise. To her surprise, these two were not demons at all. Unlike Illidan, she does not yet know how to shift from spectral sight to regular sight so she instantly saw who these creatures was. "They're not demons in disguise, however, this isn't our decision to make." Illysanna said after a few minutes of looking at the draenei

"We'll need to tell Lord Illidan about this." Anya said and had the undead go back to their patrol

"Agreed." Illysanna said before creating another mental link. 'Illidan, this is Illysanna. There is something you need to behold for yourself here where Archimonde was summoned. Bring Kel'thuzad, Drak'thul and Maiev as well.' she said to them before looking at Dalaran. 'Kor'vas, Altruis, come here too.'

Suddenly, the portal surged and a few demons came out. "Look out!" Anya yelled and fired an arrow at one of them. Another battle quickly occured as a few undead returned to help while Anya and Illysanna easily cut down demon after demon

"What is going on?" Illysanna asked while glaring at the draenei after the small group of seven demons were killed

About fifteen minutes later, certain individuals arrived. Kel'thuzad, Drak'thul, Kor'vas, Altruis, Maiev, Malygos and of course, Illidan. To the draenei's surprise and horror, one of these individuals was a demon

"Draenei? Here?" Drak'thul said when he arrived on the hill, all of them having came from Dalaran

Illidan was also surprised at seeing the two draenei. He knew who the draenei were and what they looked like but this was the first time he saw one in the flesh. Like Illysanna, he also saw that these two draenei were real and not demons in disguise. He mentally ordered Drak'thul to cast a lie detection spell before looking at the draenei. "What happened here?" he asked

"My lord, these Draenei came through a portal and asked for help. Demons suddenly came through the same portal." Anya answered

"Talk." Illidan ordered the draenei as he cast a spell which temporarily sealed the portal

"I am Aedon." the male draenei said

"And I am Yrel." the female said before telling their story. After Draenor was shattered, Magtheridon took control and subjugated the entire Shadowmoon Valley, driving out the draenei to the Terokkar Forest and ensuring the Legion had a hold on the planet before he took control of the Hellfire Peninsula. A few months ago, the Legion became more aggressive and decided to take control of Outland but they failed to take control of Terokkar Forest, which is where Shattrath was located and instead took control over the rest of Outland. In the last few weeks, they attacked Nagrand. "...and now, only Terokkar Forest is not under their control. I fear that they will soon overrun Shattrath. I was imprisoned along with more Mag'har Orcs and Draenei but we managed to escape. The rest were killed and only the two of us managed to pass through the demon gate. We thought it would lead to another world controlled by the Legion but thank the Light it didn't. We came here seeking help to drive out the demons from our home." she explained

"Wait, is this Azeroth?" Aedon asked but no one answered

"How do know the name of this world?" Illidan asked suspiciously and Yrel gave an answer which surprised them, especially Kel'thuzad

Maiev, not knowing what the draenei referred to, focused on the main matter. "Lord Illidan, what do we do about this?" she asked

"Take them to Dalaran. We'll verify this ourselves." Illidan answered before looking at Anya, who nodded in understanding

"Kel'thuzad, I may need your help with this." Anya said before they left

"I understand." Kel'thuzad replied as he knew what she needed and they watched Illidan and the others return to Dalaran

I also altered some part Outland's map. In the wowpedia page of Nagrand, it was mentioned that one of the demon gates that Illidan closed was in Nagrand. In this story, instead of having four demons gates, there will only be three in the Blade's Edge Mountains, Zangarmarsh and Hellfire Peninsula. Speaking of Outland, I'm gonna get a few things wrong about this place since the maps I could find about it had the Netherstorm to the very north, , an abyss to the south, Blade's Edge Mountains to the southwest, Zangarmarsh and Hellfire to the south and southeast of the mountains respectively, Nagrand south of Zangarmarsh. Shadowmoon Valley is at the very southeast of the world while Terrokkar Forest is the central region if you could call it that

Speaking of Netherstorm, it will not be considered a place where you can live for this story. It will mostly be something like the Maelstrom where it is just a place of unstable energies. Also, it was mentioned that Shattrath is in Terokkar so I will be going with that

The Black Temple will also be altered. I'm not particularly sure of its canon design but for this story, it will be separated into three levels with the peak being the throne room. I will not mention what the other two levels are as they will only come to play further in this story arc

Yes that's right. I humiliated Garrosh. I never liked his character so while Grom humiliated Mannoroth, I made it into a complete parallel on his son's fate. To any Garrosh fans here, well, you're not gonna see him in this fanfic, sorry

Now, what is Kil'jaeden up to this time
