Chapter Summery: With tension still in the air between Father and Daughter, Anna and Agnarr have another talk before spending some time together in town.

- An hour later, 2:34 P.M., Main Hall -

"Thanks for coming with me." commented Anna with a smile as she and Cassandra to her left, walked towards the Castle's main doors. "I need to get out and get some fresh air."

"I don't mind." replied Cassandra, dressed in a T-shirt and pants. "I planned to go out and explore the area anyway; I'll need to be familiar with the land if I'm going to be staying here for awhile and it'll be nice to have some company."

The pair were about two yards from the doors, before Anna heard her father call to her from behind. He had been 'nice' enough to not bother her since they last met, but hearing his voice, quickly brought a frown to Anna's face and a groan as she continued to walk, still unwilling to talk to him; while Cassandra paused and looked back to see the King hurrying down the stairs.

"Anna, wait!" called Agnarr.

Cassandra then gasps when Anna grabs her hand and pulls her along in a light jog.

"Just ignore him." commented Anna as she led them out of the doors.

"U-Uh, I'm not very comfortable with that." replied Cassandra nervously, now caught between the tension.

Agnarr soon follows the pair outside and called Anna's name again.

"I'm not speaking to you!" declared Anna. "Just go away. You got three years of catching up to do anyway!"

"I know you're still angry with me." called out Agnarr. "I want to apologize, I didn't mean to offend you."

Anna then pauses following Agnarr's comment, releasing an uncomfortable Cassandra's hand, before she comments, her back to her father who continued heading towards her...

"Well, you did."

"I'm sorry." apologized Agnarr as he walked up behind Anna, within a yard of her, while Cassandra nervously stepped aside without a word, her eyes darting between parent and child; before Anna sighs and turns around to face her father with a frown.

"So, are you not against Elsa and I's relationship?" asked Anna.

"My stance hasn't changed on that." answered Agnarr, which prompted a scowl on Anna's face.

"Then I have nothing to say to you!" replied Anna, before she turned to leave.

Anna only gets a few steps in before Agnarr rushes in front of her.

"Wait! Wait!" quickly urges Agnarr, placing a hand to Anna's shoulder, who jerks away from the touch. "Hear me out, please."

Before Anna can reply though, Cassandra walks by them, smiling nervously and commenting...

"I'm just gonna go, don't wanna be a bother."

"Cass wait!" called out Anna, as Cassandra made a rapid retreat, jogging away. Anna started to chase after her, but stopped after just a couple steps in as Cassandra had formed a considerable distance between them, prompting a frown to come to Anna's face before she turned around to face her father.

"Just hear me out, please." requested Agnarr, opting to remain where he stood, leaving about a yard between them.

Anna answered with an annoyed sigh and crossing her arms over her chest, before she replied...

"Fine."

"Thank you." commented Agnarr with a smile, "I don't agree with the choice you and Elsa have made, but I've been absent from your lives for three years. A lot can change in that time; a change that for me, is sudden; and difficult to accept, but I don't want to reunite with you two only for a wedge to form between us."

Following Agnarr's statement, Anna averts her gaze for a moment, before letting out a lengthy sigh, followed by returning her gaze to her father, the anger on her face faded, but still very much there.

"We're in agreement there." replied Anna, before she looked away again. "I don't want to start to dislike being around you or avoiding you. But, saying our relationship needed to be fixed really hurt, a lot."

"I'm sorry for that; For hurting you, honestly, I am." stated Agnarr. "Can you forgive me?"

"I don't know..." replied Anna as she closed her eyes with a frown, while Agnarr looked disappointed, however, Anna continued, "What you said is still fresh in my head, but..." Anna then lifted her gaze to her father and added. "I'm willing to try."

"Thank you, Anna." replied Agnarr, before he slowly walked towards Anna and placed a hand to her shoulder. While Anna didn't refuse his touch, her arms remained crossed and she does look away.

"I know you'd rather have us be with someone non-related, preferably a man; but I love Elsa, as her sister and her girlfriend. I want to express my love without limits."

Agnarr briefly lowers his gaze with a sigh, before lifting it to his daughters crossed arms as reached his free hand up Anna's right arm, prompting Anna to look at him curiously.

"Can I see your hand?" asked Agnarr, before Anna uncrossed her arms and allowed him to take her right hand in his hand, looking at the icy ring she wore for a moment. "You're serious about this?" he asked again.

"Yes." answered Anna, before she saw her father close his eyes briefly and take and slow breath.

"... Ok then." replied Agnarr.

"Ok... what?" questioned Anna curiously.

"I don't agree with the choice you two have made and to be honest, I hope this is just a strange phase you two are going through, but... I don't want to lose you two again. So, I will not fight you two on this; As long as you two can keep the affections within reason around me. I don't want to see you two kissing."

"Well I'm just gonna ignore that comment about our relationship being a phase." commented Anna with annoyance as she pulled her hand away, though didn't cross her arms again, instead placing her hands on her hips. "That last part is an easy one though; We're not all over each other around others after all, especially in public."

Agnarr smirks following his daughters reply and comments...

"Yet the citizen's suspect you two."

"T-That..." stuttered Anna, as her face reddened, before she looked away, "We just like to touch each other- H-Hugging and holding hands I mean! Nothing blatant!"

"Really?" asked Agnarr, now placing his hand to his hips and looking to Anna unconvinced. "You're suspected because you hug and hold hands?"

"Ugh, ok, maybe we look into each other eyes longer than we should, but we don't kiss or make out or anything like that." replied Anna, her gaze darting to her father, who chuckled and crossed her arms over her chest again.

"Heh, no, not making out; but it's sounds a bit like flirting." commented Agnarr, which prompted Anna to pout, although it was more of an annoyed pout than an angry one. "Heh, well no flirting around me." he added, followed by Anna turning to face him and raising a brow.

"'That', I can't promise. Keeping the affection within reason is though."

"Alright then." replied Agnarr with a smile. "Thanks for not shutting me out."

Following Agnarr's comment, Anna sighs as she averts her gaze and lowered her arms as she muttered lowly...

"I know how that feels."

"What?" questioned Agnarr.

"It's nothing." answered Anna, returning her gaze to her father with a little smirk, more trying to force a smile.

"Oh, well..." replied Agnarr, before a brief awkward moment passes before Agnarr asked, "So where were you and your friend headed before I interrupted?"

"Out of town." answered Anna. "I was going to practice my magic with her. I've recently started heading out of town to practice near the water."

"Oh..." replied Agnarr, before he briefly averted his eyes in thought with a smile. "Well, mind if I join you and watch?"

The request brings a look of surprise to Anna's face as a genuine smile crept onto her face.

"Really? You want to join me?"

"Yeah." replied Agnarr with a smile. "I just want to spend some time with you and share in your gift; If you're willing."

"O-Of course!" replied Anna delightfully. "I'd love it if you'd join me."

"Wonderful." stated Agnarr, before he walked up to Anna's left and offer his right hand. "Care to hold my hand?"

Anna looks to her father with a smirk.

"I dunno, the people may suspect something." teased Anna, which prompted a chuckle from Agnarr, however, Anna quickly cringed and added, "Ugh, saying that just made me realize how gross that is!"

Anna's remark prompted another chuckle from Agnarr, before he commented...

"Well now you know how I feel."

"Yeah, yeah..." replied Anna with a roll of her eyes as she took her fathers hand and they head towards the open gates together.

"You're rightfully disgusted by the thought us being any more than Father and Daughter." stated Agnarr. "Why not with Elsa?" he asked, which prompted a sigh from Anna.

"I dunno..." replied Anna. "I had some hesitation at first, of course, but it wasn't strong enough to stop me. That disgust just didn't happen. Elsa and I both agree that our separation played a part and after the Eternal Winter happened and we reunited, we just clung to each other; starved for each others love and attention."

"... I see." commented Agnarr, before he thought. 'So the separation affected them more severely than I thought.'

"I'm sorry for separating you two." stated Agnarr. "I thought I was making the right choice. I didn't expect it to go on as long as it did. I tried to encourage Elsa, but she was just so scared; no doubt encouraged by limiting her contact with others; in hindsight, that likely reinforced her fears. I just didn't know what to do to help her."

Anna was silent for a few moments, until they passed the gates and Anna asked...

"Are you angry at mother for keeping the truth hidden? It probably could've helped."

The question prompted a sigh from Agnarr.

"Honestly... I am, not as much as I was when she came clean, but a lot could've been avoided or at the very least, mitigated."

Anna was silent again as the pair walked along the bridge towards the town. At the half-way point, Agnarr looked to his daughter, whose mood didn't seem to be high and decided to try and lift it with a lighter topic.

"So, does Elsa join you in practicing your magic?"

The question brought a chuckle from Anna which in turn, a smile to Agnarr's face.

"Hehe, no. Elsa never joins me- wait, no, she has; only once at the start, I was more her training me though. In regards to practicing together though, no, she doesn't; I'd like her to, but Elsa says she doesn't think it's worth doing; saying she's happy where she is magic-wise." answered Anna, before she shrugged her shoulders with another chuckle. "Heh, Elsa may be fine staying where she is, but I just can't sit on my magic. I'm still pretty new to my magic though; learning what I can and can't do in comparison to Elsa. Heck, just a few days ago I learn that I'm not restricted to just fire! There's so much for me to discover! I want to grow and use my magic to help all of Arendelle!" declared Anna delightfully.

"Hehe, well I'm happy to hear that." replied Agnarr with a smile.

Entering town, the pair were quickly greeted happily by the citizens, occasionally stopping to chat. Agnarr enjoyed in particular, the delight Anna had in talking with the people; the separation certainly didn't stifle Anna's desire to talk with others.

However, Agnarr did notice a rare grimace or scowl seemingly directed at Anna in the distance, the owners of whom quickly averted their negative gazes upon meeting his gaze. Agnarr was unsure of the reasons for a few of the expressions and wondered if Anna noticed as well; she didn't indicate if she did, especially when a group of three children, two boys and a girl, came happily running up to them; Anna in particular, though greeting them both, with 'Your Majesty's' and 'Your Highness''

"Hi." greeted back Anna with a smile, while Agnarr added...

"Hello."

The young girl then looked to Agnarr and asked...

"We're you really stuck on an Island all alone?"

The question prompted a small chuckle from Agnarr as he released Anna's hand and knelt in front of the child.

"Yep, but I wasn't completely alone, Iduna was with me." replied Agnarr, before another chuckle left him as the three children gasped in wonder, before one of the boys asked...

"For three whole years!? Did you miss Elsa and Anna?"

"Hehe, very much." answered Agnarr. "A day didn't pass without me thinking of them and hoping they were alright." he added, before looking up to Anna with a smile. "And imagine our shock when we run into them; we were so happy." he continued, which prompted a smirk from Anna.

"Heh, we were all a crying mess." replied Anna, before the second boy asked...

"What was the trip like? Was the North people the only people you meet?"

"Northuldra." corrected Anna, as Agnarr returned to his feet. "We also meet the other Arendelle Soldiers, but yeah, people-wise, those were the only ones we met. But..." added Anna with a grin. "We also met magical spirits!"

"Ohhh, really!?" gasped all three children, before the girl added, "What were they like!?"

"Well one was the wind spirit." answered Anna. "Her names Gale; She was a bit of a prankster, sweeping Elsa and I up in the air when we least expected it, flipping my coat over my head and moving Elsa's braid in front of her face like mustache." she added, as she pulled some of her loose hair in front other face and under her nose to mimic the act, which brought about the expectant giggles.

"That sounds fun!" declared one of the boys, which Anna only chuckled in response, before she continued...

"Then we met the Fire Spirit, Bruni; It was a cute little lizard."

"Eww!" commented the girl, which prompted a round of giggled from Anna, Agnarr and the two boys, one which added...

"A fire lizard!? That sounds awesome!"

"It sure is!" replied Anna. "He really liked Elsa, jumping and crawling on her; which she didn't like. Next, we didn't meet them, but there are Earth Spirits. They're giant rock people taller than the tree's."

"Whoa..." gasped the children.

"And they make the ground shake with each step they take." replied Anna.

"Wow!" stated the young girl. "Just imagine, crawling onto their hand and they lift you super high in the air; You could see everything!"

"Hehe, I'm sure you could." replied Anna. "The last Spirit we met was the Water Spirit and it was a really pretty horse, called Nokk."

"Oh." replied the children, whom didn't seem too impressed, before one of the boys asked...

"Like the horse the Queen makes?"

"Heh, yep." replied Anna. "Thought you'd be more excited about a water horse."

"Well it's something the Queen can do." stated the young girl, before one of the boys comment...

"Nu-uh, the Queen makes an ice horse."

"Ohh, your right!" gasped the two other children, before the other boy added...

"A water horse actually does sound cool after all!"

The young girl then comments...

"But you and the Queen are still the best!"

"Hehe, well thanks!" replied Anna, before she leaned down with her hands on her knees and asked, "Since we're still your favorite, how about I reward you three with a little show?"

"Really?" gasped the children happily, before they all requested...

"Fireworks! Do the fireworks!"

"Fireworks, huh? That's a bit more flashy than I had in mind." replied Anna, before the children all pleaded, which prompted a chuckle from Agnarr, who questioned...

"Fireworks?"

"I just shoot my magic into the air before making it explode." answered Anna.

"Ah." replied Agnarr.

"Elsa has an ice version, but the kids seem to really like mine." stated Anna. "Unlike Elsa though, I prefer to do it on the bridge, over the water; for safety reasons."

"Good idea." replied Agnarr, before the young girl asked...

"So can you do the fireworks?"

"Hmm..." hummed Anna with a smile. "Ok, one firework."

"Two!" declared one of the boys.

"One." insisted Anna with a grin.

"One and a half!" declared the girl, which prompted a chuckle from Anna.

"How would that even work? You get one, take it or leave it. I don't want to disturb everyone whose not interested in loud booms in the sky."

"Ok." replied the children with a smile and one of the boys added...

"We'll take one firework!"

"Good, then let's go to the bridge." replied Anna, before she looked to her father and asked, "You don't mind, do you?"

"Not at all." answered Agnarr.

Following that, the group headed back towards the bridge separating the town from the castle. By the time they reached the bridge however, the three children had grown to a total of eight, from the initial three happily declaring to any other children they came across that the Princess was going to do a fireworks show, which Anna had to remind them she was only doing one.

"Alright, you all ready?" asked Anna as they stopped at the mid-point of the bridge. The following excited cheers of the children brought a giggle from Anna, as well as Agnarr. "Ok then..." replied Anna, before she directed her right hand up and over the water. "Three... two... One!" counted Anna before she shot a fiery ball of her magic high into the sky and out to sea, well away from any flammable objects as the children ooh'ed and ahh'ed, along with Agnarr watching with interest as well, before with a snap of Anna's fingers, prompted delighted gasps from the children as the flaming ball suddenly exploded in a red-orange plume.

Along with the children, Agnarr shared in their delight, though not verbally, watching the remnants of the explosion with momentary awe, before his smiling gaze lowered to Anna, all smiles as she looked to the excited children, who now eagerly requested her to do it again.

"Hehe, I said I was only doing it once." stated Anna, which prompted a round of disappointed 'aww's'.

Meanwhile, in the castle; Elsa currently walked down a hallway when she suddenly heard the recognizable sound of a distant explosion and quickly rushed to a nearby window and looked out for its source. Her attention was soon drawn to the bridge and her concern dropped with a sigh as she smiled, seeing Anna on the bridge with a group of children, as well as their father, which prompted a brief look of curiosity, before Elsa smiled.

"Looks like she's speaking to Father again; That's good."

Elsa soon sees Anna propel another fireball out to sea and the following cheers of the children, which urged a little chuckle from Elsa, though her attention was more-so on Anna and her father, one wouldn't have known Anna wasn't speaking to him shortly before.

'I didn't like what Father said either...' thought Elsa. 'But Anna really took it hard; I'm glad to see their getting along again.' she added, before sighing.

"I hope we can work this out."

"Alright, you got two out of me, but you're not getting a third." stated Anna with a smirk and her hands on her hips. "I'm putting my foot down on this."

A round of slightly disappointed 'ok's' followed, which prompted a chuckle from Anna before a bunch of the children thanked her for the small display. However, one boy's compliment not only surprised Anna, but Agnarr as well...

"Thanks, Your Highness! Just because your part Northuldra doesn't mean you're bad. You're really nice and awesome!"

"O-Oh..." replied Anna, mildly stunned by the comment, though smiling. "Well thanks."

Then children then all gave their farewells and thanks Anna again before departing and Agnarr mentioning...

"That boy's comment was strange."

However, Anna didn't reply, though Agnarr easily noticed the lowered, saddened gaze from his daughter, before he placed a hand to her shoulder.

"Anna?"

"Yesterday..." started Anna. "While I was walking though town, I noticed a few of the people seem to avoid me, or give me funny looks." revealed Anna. "It was just a few- that I happened to notice anyway. I had my suspicions on why, given the news that was revealed, but that boys comment just confirmed it."

"That's unfortunate to hear." replied Agnarr, "But given the history and what the people know of the Northuldra, it's understandable."

"I know." replied Anna as she looked up to her father with a smile. "It takes time for things to change. It's unrealistic to expect everyone to just bury the hate and negativity about the Northuldra after a single speech and a day."

"You're right; sometimes, acceptance takes time."

The comment prompts a smirk from Anna.

"Yeah... can't always expect immediate acceptance, especially with something shocking and unexpected. Like a forbidden relationship."

"Heh, already making light of it huh?" asked Agnarr with a smirk as well.

"Well, either that or just ignoring it." replied Anna with a shrug of her shoulders. "And ignoring it won't actually solve anything." she added, before sighing. "Maybe it'll make it easier to talk about or have a discussion without both sides getting heated."

"You have a point." commented Agnarr. "I disagree with your choices, but I want to understand them." he added, before smirking. "Like just 'how' can you two be intimate?"

"W-What!?" gasped Anna as her face reddened.

"You said yourselves that your romantically involved and given our meeting last night, unless you're using two se-"

"No-no-no-no!" quickly replied Anna as her face flared red and she waved her hands in front of herself. "I'm not talking about this with you! That's private! And so weird to talk to you about!" she added as she quickly headed back towards town, while Agnarr chuckled and joined her to her left.

"But I'm curious, I want to understand-"

"Ugh, not this!" replied Anna. "This topic is off-limits!" she added as she looked to her smirking father with an annoyed, red-faced frown. "You're doing this on purpose aren't you? Trying to make me uncomfortable."

"Yep." replied Agnarr.

"You said you wouldn't fight me on this."

"I'm not; I just want to learn more about your relationship."

"Even a normal couple doesn't discuss their intimate moments to others."

"You're not a normal couple though." pointed out Agnarr, which prompted a twitch of Anna's left eye, before she stepped in front of her father with her hands on her hips.

"I think you're bluffing; trying to indirectly fight me, you don't really want to know how your daughters have sex."

"I do." replied Agnarr with a smirk. "As your father, I just want you two to be safe."

Anna paused for a moment before curiously raising a brow, before smiling...

"You don't have to worry about us getting pregnant if that's what your worried about."

"Well that's a given." replied Agnarr, "But with you two having magic, the impossible may just be possible."

"Well a magic baby would be fine, right?" asked Anna, before she saw her father look at her curiously.

"Have you two discussed this?"

"I... uh..." replied Anna, her face reddening again. "Y-yeah, we've talked about it but we have no plans in the near future for that."

"Really?" asked Agnarr. "Your relationship is a month old and you want to get married AND have children?"

"No, no, no!" gasped Anna, before quickly looking around, seeing no one was one the bridge with them. "You're assuming we want to do these things now!" added Anna with annoyance. "We'd like to get married, yeah; but we have no plans on doing it anytime soon and the baby thing was just a conversation we had about having an heir, since obviously, we can't have a baby normally and without an heir, that's a problem for Arendelle's future; but even IF that happens it's WAAAY into the future."

"Hmm, so you were thinking of Arendelle's future." commented Agnarr.

"Of course." replied Anna.

"Well... I do like that you've considered the future of Arendelle..." stated Agnarr, before he lifted a hand up to his chin in thought and lowered his gaze and continued lowly, "...and if you could actually continue the family line, then perhaps..."

Anna raised a curious eye at her father's latter comment, could Elsa and her possibly producing a child turn their fathers stance around? However, Agnarr quickly shook his head.

"No, no, that's ridiculous. You're still sisters."

Anna sighed in disappointment, before turning around and heading towards town, although Anna was glad that her father had dropped the request of the intimate details of her relationship to Elsa.

'I bet he wouldn't appreciate me asking what him and Mother's sex life is like.' thought Anna, before she cringed. 'Ugh, it's weirding me out just thinking about it! Which is weird, 'cause I was the one that brought a similar topic up to Elsa; but now that our parents are alive... ugh! But at least I have something to counter with if Father brings it up again and I can see HIM squirm- if I don't break first.'

To be continued
