Didn't think I'd be doing another one of these so soon. I'll spare you the preamble and cut to the chase, Archetypal is on indefinite hiatus. For real this time.

Auto's tried his best to get back into the swing of things, but his heart just isn't in fanfiction anymore, which I think at least some of you could see coming from the fact that the only stories he was still writing were being posted through my account, and fairly intermittently. So I guess this is also a sort of ad hoc announcement of Auto's retirement. Which he's welcomed to dispute, but he'd both need to read this AND write something to prove me wrong, so I think I'm pretty safe on that front :).

This of course means that Night Becomes Day Becomes Love is also canceled until further notice. As for Archetypal, what I said the previous time still holds true. This was a story I wrote, largely so I could work on something with one of my best friends, as well as one of the guys who inspired me to take up writing myself. And we did that, and it was a ton of fun. Sorry we're leaving you guys hanging like this. Auto and I are still friends, but he isn't writing the story anymore, and at the moment I don't feel particularly enthusiastic about working on the story without him. Someday that might change. Maybe I'll feel like picking up where we left off once some time has passed, but for now, I'm going to shelve the story.

This only affects Auto's end of things, btw. I'm still writing my stories, and I'll probably have something new to post relatively soon. But yeah, Archetypal's done for now. Thanks to everyone who supported the story thus far, our biggest motivator to write it always came from seeing how much people were enjoying our story. Without the constant stream of reviews and well wishes I doubt we would have gotten nearly as far with it.

I don't really know how to wrap this up. So...remember that scene way back in chapter 4 where Lori and Lincoln go flying over Michigan, hand in hand? Think about that. Auto wrote it, and it ended up being the scene that inspired nearly everything I wrote involving those two going forward. It's still my favorite part of the story.
