Authors Notes: Skipping the Present Mic+Aizawa commentary for this chapter. Doesn't really fit this chapter's format D: Don't worry! It'll be back the next chapter!
"Melissa!" All Might said to his protégé, "You did amazingly! You've made your father proud!" The first part of the sports festival had ended, and contestants were allowed a Thirty-minute break before continuing with the festival.
"You really think so, Uncle Toshi?" The young blonde asked, eyes glimmering in joy.
"I know so!" The symbol of peace boomed, "He was watching the entire time!" All Might pulls out his phone out of his pocket to reveal her father, David Shield waving to her in a video call.
"Hey Melissa" The father greeted the girl, who in question, grabbed the phone and spun around with it, much to the amusement of All Might.
"Dad!" She shouted, joy in her voice, "How's everyone back at I-Island?"
"We're all watching it!" Behind David, popped out his assistant, Samuel Abraham, who waved to the young blonde, "Your father's been telling everyone he sees about his wonder child who's winning the world-renowned UA sports festival!"
"D-Dad!" Melissa stuttered, embarrassed.
"Come on, 'Lissa!" Chuckled David, "It's father's job to show off his daughter! And by the way, great job on your interview!" Earlier when the race had finished, she had been dragged off by some people saying they were part of BBC News, a British News source. The UA Sports Festival really is worldwide!
"CAN ALL CONTESTANTS WHO FINISHED THE FIRST ROUND COME TO THE ARENA!" Present Mic announced through speakers.
"Oh! I have to get going now!" Melissa said to her father and All Might, "Bye Dad! Uncle Toshi!" She ran off, leaving the two friends with each other.
"Th-they grow up so fast, y'know!" David cries, proud tears falling out of his eyes.
"I know what you mean, David" The symbol of peace smiles, knowing that he'll have left the world in good hands.
With Izuku...
"Man! I'm so riled up!" Kirishima shouted. He had done mediocre in the first round but that was expected considering his quirk, "Huh? Where did Melissa go?".
"Oh, Shield said she was going to talk to some relatives" Izuku explained, as looked at his phone. At the moment, he was scrolling through twitter, looking at the reactions to the festival. Thankfully, he was fluent in English, so he could also see the international perspective of things.
Hawkes (Verified)
That Shield girl looks pretty strong. But Midoriya's pretty interesting...
At seeing this tweet from the pro hero, he went into his DM's and said:
Midoriyaaaasss
Hey there Hawkes! Sorry for what I said at the beginning of the festival! No hard feelings?
Hawkes
Yeah, it's cool kid. You weren't even half wrong.
Whilst on the other side of the twitter:
HandyMan69
What tf is the deal with that Broccoli lookin' mf. Big words for a man in second place.
Izuku was a bit miffed about the broccoli comment. His hair isn't that green!
Overall, the online reaction to the festival was pretty good, though Endeavour was dead quiet.
"Wait, Kiri!" Mina exclaimed, "Since when did you call Shield, Melissa!" Izuku snapped his attention from his phone. Looks like things are getting interesting.
"What uh..." Kirishima paused, flustered, "I mean... Well... Considering the USJ, we uh, thought we were going to die and-"
"Aww!" Hagakure said, "A blossoming romance!"
"What no! It's- We're just friends so chill!" Kirishima nervously chuckled, though Ashido and Hagakure raised an eyebrow to him, "She's just a super manly person!"
"CAN ALL CONTESTANTS WHO FINISHED THE FIRST ROUND COME TO THE ARENA!"
"Alright let's go everyone!" Kirishima shouted, quickly rushing out of the waiting room, whilst everyone chuckled a bit.
The Arena
As the students walked into the arena, the looked at the large, concrete block in front of them. It was almost as tall as an apartment, and wide enough to fit the large span of the arena.
"D-don't tell me we're going to have to break it!" One of the 1-B students stuttered. He nervously stood in the shadow of the box, shaking.
"Hello boys and girls!" Midnight shouted for all to here, "Welcome to the second round of the festival! Cementoss, sweetie, do the honours!" The stone-faced hero put his hands to the ground, as the concrete block started melting to the ground. It was indeed not a concrete but instead a box. And inside that box was revealed to be a single concrete tower, dwarfing the arena. The towers shifted in the ground and started... floating on the cement to stand tall in the centre of the arena. Cementoss is pretty powerful.
"Say hello to the TOWER OF DOOM!" Sound effect explosions could be heard in the background, as the students stared up at the tower, "Inside the tower lies around two hundred robots, which we'll restock after one group of four, goes in! Unlike the entrance exams, these robots are all worth one point! You will all form teams, and the top four teams with the highest points will pass through to the last part of the festival! You have five minutes to pick your teams! GO!"
Immediately people started scrambling to the top scorers, like Izuku, Katsuki and Melissa. Kaida sat on top of Izuku's head, which meant that Izuku needed two more people. Most of those who were scrambling to team up with him were mostly those he didn't, possibly general or support course students.
"Yo, Iida!" Izuku calls, escaping the mob, "Wanna team up?" The speedster stood by himself, as if thinking of something, before being snapped out of his thoughts by Izuku.
"Oh, Midoriya! You wish to team up?" The spectacled boy ponders to himself, glancing at Melissa who was looking for another member (She currently had Kirishima and Uraraka on her team), before looking back to Izuku, a fire in his eyes, "I humbly accept your proposition!" And of course, Iida was bowing during his acceptance.
"Great! Now we need one more..." Izuku scans the arena, Kaida, lifting him up in the air for a birds eye view.
"Hey, Izuku!" Kaida says, "How about thunder boy down there!" She points to Kaminari, who looked lost, "He could short circuit the robots, right?"
"Kaida, that's the smartest thing you've said all day!" Izuku brightens, "Let's go down to him before anyone else snags him!" Though Kaida was a bit miffed about the 'smartest thing you've said all day' comment, she swooped down with Izuku, and landed in front of the lightning blonde.
"Hey, Kaminari!" Izuku says, to the confused boy, "Care to join my team?" The students looks happy for a moment before seeming reluctant, to Izuku's dismay.
"Are... Are you sure you want me?" Kaminari asks nervously, "I'm a one-hit wonder and I don't think that'll help much against the robots." Izuku was surprised, considering the lightning-user usually seems so confident.
"That's because you're not using your quirk right" Izuku smiled, to Denki's confusion, "Instead of constantly releasing it, have you ever tried to simply generate it around your fists, but keep it there? Theoretically, your hands should become tasers"
Denki looks shocked with this revelation, before closing his eyes and concentrating. Quickly enough, his hands are surrounded by sparking electricity, flickering around with power, "Holy shit Midoriya!" Kaminari shouted, "You're a genius!"
And soon Izuku went to Midnight to submit his team.
Surprising he hadn't heard Katsuki say much... until
"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN I CAN'T LEAVE A TEAM AFTER JOINING?!" The blonde screams, to an unfazed Midnight.
"Exactly what I said" Midnight sighed, her flirty persona gone, "You are part of Team Shinsou, and you agreed to joining earlier, you can't change that. It would be unfair for all those involved"
"FOR FUCKS SAKE! I DON'T EVEN REMEMBER EVEN AGREEING THIS TEAM!"
"Well, you'll have to deal with it" Midnight said, with a knowing smirk. Naturally she knew Shinsou had brainwashed Bakugo into the team, but it technically still within the rules so...
Bakugo walks away from her, grumpily sighing to his team. "You god damn extras better not hold me back." He commanded.
"Well... I won't be able to do much considering my quirk doesn't work on bots" Shinsou sighs, as Bakugo stares at the sky with a glare, as if telling god, he would explode his mythological-ass up, "But who the fuck put me in a team with the biggest asshole in 1-A!?" Let it be known that Shinsou's acting classes did not go to waste. Along with him and Bakugo were Mina Ashido, who was extremely confused, and Mei Hatsumei who was disgruntled, murmuring about 'wanting to go with lighting girl'.
Another team of note was a surprising mix of 1-A and 1-B students. Team Todoroki, was made up of the captain, Shoto Todoroki, the vine priestess, Ibara Shiozaki, the iron man, Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu, and the intelligent heiress, Momo Yaoyorozu. (As to how Todoroki managed to convince this unlikely group to form is completely beyond me, the author).
As for Melissa's team, she had a solid loadout. With Kirishima as the tank, Melissa as the vanguard, Ochako as the support and Tokoyami as the scout, they were well balanced, and with Melissa's brains, probably had a good plan.
"Alright everyone! Line up in your teams!" Midnight called to everyone, as they quickly rushed into order, "You will all have 5 minutes each in this tower, or until your team gives up. For every robot you destroy, the more points you earn! The first team is Team Asui!" Tsuyu, Shouji, Ojiro, and Sero, walked into the tower, nervous of the following challenge.
The screens around the arena flashed up, displaying the team walking into the tower. Shouji had his ears at the ready, listening at the slightest bit of movement. Unfortunately, no sound could be heard through the stadium speakers, as Shouji signals to the team, who rush around the corner to see 20 robots in a corridor. Several robots start jumping from one wall to the other, as the head toward the group of students. Ojiro charges forward, destroying a leg of one of the robots with his tail, as Shouji punched through its head. Sero tied up the legs of a quadruped robot, whilst Tsuyu knocked it off balanced crashing it.
The team went on and on, destroying robots one by one, until they reached the fourth floor, when the timer had finished. In the end they had acquired about 96 points in total. Next up was team Monoma, made up Kendo, Monoma, Yanagi, and Tokage. They had done well and ended up with 124 points, and much to the surprise of 1-B, Monoma wasn't flexing their score on 1-A.
On and on, 4 more teams went in, only one of them got even close to Team Monoma, that being Team Aoyama, made up of Aoyama, Hagakure, Jirou and oddly enough, Pony Tsunotori. Probably, because Aoyama could speak English.
"Next up! Team Shinsou!" Midnight called.
"Finally! The extras are finished" Bakugou grinned, cracking his knuckles.
As the team entered into the building, Bakugo taking lead, Shinsou looked around to see if he was in the 'muted' zone as he dubbed it, where no one outside could here. "Hey everybody?" Shinsou addressed, receiving a response from the entire team. He grinned, activating his quirk, "Fight together as a team. Do your best, and make sure to protect me." The three other teammates, still under control, rushed as one unit. Shinsou was worried that Ashido and Bakugo's quirks would cause them to snap out, but fortunately they didn't, most likely because they were causing it, and not an external source.
(AN: So to clarify, the reason Bakugo and Ashido's explosion and acid, didn't snap them out is due them inflicting it onto themselves, whilst in the anime, Midoriya's snap, snapped him out due the recoil, pain and air pressure caused.)
The team moved skilfully, as the decimated the robots one by one, not letting a scratch hit them. Hatsume would often throw the occasional EMP to deactivate most of the robots on the floor. Other times, she would simply throw whatever gadget she found worthless, and let it explode on one of the robots, making sure not hurt any of her team members. Ashido used her acid to go faster, melt the robots and clear the way for her team members, pushing her body to her limits.
"Holy shit, Kacchan is working as a team. Never thought I'd see the day" Izuku said, watching in oblivious awe, as a fake tear drips down his face.
"But it's weird though, right?" Ochako asked, "His mouth hasn't moved at all, and his eyes look... asleep?"
"Wow, someone's been studying his face a lot" Kaida says, making Ochako blush, "Oh, I get it! You ~like~ him! When's the marr-" Unfortunately, the exceed couldn't finish her sentence due to a certain gravity girl's fist.
Eventually, Team Shinsou had reached the time limit, reaching a score of 180 points, the new highest, causing the entire crowd to go wild.
As Team Shinsou walked out, every single one of them, including Shinsou, acted as if they were dead inside, before Shinsou cancelled his quirk, and then used his acting skills, "Wh- What the hell happened?" He muttered, loud enough to be heard by most people in the vicinity, "Wait... Did we win?"
"Good job Team Shinsou, you're currently in 1st place with 180 points" Midnight congratulated, clapping her hands.
"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!?" Bakugo screamed, to the shock of everyone. Surely, he would be proud of his score? "WE DIDN'T DO SHIT!"
"What he means to say..." Shinsou interjects, "Is that we don't remember going up the tower" Midnight realised what had happened, but keeps her mouth shut.
"WHERE ARE MY BABIES!?" Hatsume shrieks, even louder than Katsuki. She was rifling through her suitcase, to find that most of her 'babies' weren't there.
Midnight rubs her temple. She finally understood what Aizawa went through every day. "Just... Just get in the line." Team Shinsou, reluctantly, walks back into order, with Katsuki constantly grumbling. Izuku noted that it was an improvement to what he was like before. Back then he'd probably try to pick a fight. Robots walked into the tower, restocking the army of bots. "Next up, Team Todoroki!"
The odd assortment of students went inside the tower, fully prepared. As soon as the first robot appeared, Shiozaki wrapped it around with vines, crushing it. Todoroki created a spear, piercing two different robots. Tetsutetsu, rammed through a bot that Shiozaki had in her vines, whilst Yaoyorozu stole Hatsume's idea, and created small EMP's which she attached to robots, deactivating them.
They continued to systematically destroy each and every robot in their path. So much so, it became as if it were a dance. Students, civilians, and heroes all watched the sheer power that Team Todoroki displayed. Eventually they reached the tenth and final floor, and Todoroki told everyone to step back. Even the other members of the group looked confused. Shouto lifted up his palms, raising it at the final twenty robots. Ice quickly expanded. The entire stadium was silent. A single sentence could be heard from Todoroki's lips, echoing through arena.
"Frozen Forge: Gungnir!"
A spear, as tall as All Might, formed in front of Todoroki. A careful eye could see the beautiful carvings on its hilt. It floated in front of the boy, who had a look of determination. Todoroki flicked his finger and the spear shot forth. Rapidly flying through the corridor, it pierced straight through one robot, coming through the other side and then, it changed its direction mid-flight and pierced through another robot. The spear, named after the one belonging to the king of the gods, quickly destroyed every single robot in its path, bending to the will of its master, and in less than 10 seconds, all that was left was metal scrap.
Team Todoroki had defeated every single robot and were now in permanent first place with 200 points.
They walked to the cheers of the crowd, even the other courses, who loathed the hero course, clapped. Todoroki, sweating and tired, smiled. But Izuku could sense those emotions. They weren't a smile of pride or joy. They were ones of disgusting emotions, ones built on revenge and anger. The bi-coloured hair boy kept his gaze into the audience, and Izuku, following the line of sight, saw the target of Todoroki's anger.
'Could it be... no. He's the number 2 hero, even if he's a brutal to criminals, there's no way he would do that to his own family... right?'Izuku nervously thought to himself. But the emotions rolling off of Endeavour were foul. Anger, Pride, Resent, Desire, Greed and Envy. He was a cocktail of horrible emotions.
As the Team went back in line, people still clapping at their performance, the tower slowly got restocked.
"Team Shield! Head on in!" Midnight shouted out.
They walked into the tower, Ochako's legs quaking, Melissa's hands shaking, Kirishima hyped, and Tokoyami brooding.
As soon as they were inside the building, Tokoyami sent out Dark Shadow, who melted into the ground and scouted out the next corner. The bird-headed student signalled to his team, causing Kirishima to run around the corner, sliding underneath a robot and stand in the centre of the corridor. Hardening himself, he shouted something out, getting the attention of all the robots, who started charging at him.
In all but a flash, Uraraka took away the robot's gravity. Thankfully, these models were made to be lightweight and fast, so they were under Ochako's weight limit. And then whilst they were in the air, Melissa would use her speed and strength to smash through half of them, whilst Kirishima would beat up the rest and Dark Shadow beating up the spares. This strategy was unrefined, but got the job done.
Unfortunately, they had to give in to their limits. Melissa could barely feel her limbs, Ochako was vomiting yesterday's dinner, Kirishima had ran out of stamina, and Tokoyami was exhausted along with Dark Shadow.
They had managed to reach the end of the ninth floor, and ended up with respectable 176 points, placing them in 3rd place.
Right now, Team Monoma was hoping that Izuku's team would have a devastating loss, but remembering the dragon slayers performance earlier, they were resigned to their fates.
Izuku, Iida and Kaminari, walked in, with Kaida floating behind.
"Alright guys" Izuku addressed to his teammates, "I have an idea. Kaida, don't use your main quirk until I give the order. I want you to fly with Iida. Iida, went Kaida carries you around the corner, the moment you see a robot, accelerate. The power and force of your legs should be able to destroy any robot in your path. Then Kaminari and I will beat up any stragglers. This should be able to get us to the fifth or sixth floor. I'll tell you all what to do when it's time. Copy?"
When everyone nodded, the plan was in motion.
Kaida sprouted her wings, lifting a rather uncomfortable Iida Tenya. They flew, slowly to the edge of the corner, and as soon as Tenya heard the whirring of machine gears, he started his engines. The exceed and the speedster raced through the mob of robots. His legs managed to collide with several, destroying their heads with sheer power. 13 other robots were left, so it was time for Kaminari and Midoriya to take out some trash.
"SPIRIT DRAGON'S ETHEREAL FIST!" Izuku shouts, as his green glowing fist crashes into a robot, decimating it. As for Kaminari, he slid down one of the robots, and underneath it, he charged his fists, and connected them with the bot. A small hole opened, which allowed him to fry the inner circuits of the machine. For the first time since he joined Class 1-A, a class full of people with outstanding quirks and intelligence, Kaminari felt strong, powerful... useful.
The lightning boy, with vigour and hope, climbed up the legs of another robot, and top of its head, he repeatedly punched through it until it was ravaged.
"Kaminari! Don't doddle for too long on one robot." Izuku shouted, taking down another robot, "Even if your electricity isn't running out, your stamina can!" Kaminari nodded, jumping off the scrapped robot, "And don't keep your electricity on for too long, only in battle! I'll tell you more later."
"C'mon man! Let me have some fun!" Kaminari responded, taking out some of the last few robots.
"Yeah well, the price of that fun will be either burns to the inside of your body, or cardiac arrest!" Izuku jumped down one of the robots he beat up, making his way to Kaminari so they could go join up with Iida and Kaida.
"WHAT!?" Denki screamed, in fear and shock.
"Yeah, having a constant and high electrical current throughout your body isn't very good for you." Izuku informed, "Luckily, your body is more resistant to that due to your quirk, but I wouldn't risk it." Kaminari sighed and nodded.
The four went up each floor, beating robots one by one. Eventually Kaida's wings gave out by 4th floor, so Iida did his normal engine-powered kicks, which were, in fact, quite effective.
By the time they had reached the 6th floor, Iida fell to the ground, his legs tired, and engines overheating. "Midoriya! You must go without me!" Iida proclaimed, in a dramatic fashion, "Inherit my will and go forth!" Izuku nodded, serious, considering how Iida had a problem with leaving his friends. Although, to the audience outside the tower, they were struggling not to laugh, because though they could not hear anything, they could imagine.
"Kaida! It's time." Izuku told the exceed, a look of determination in his eyes. The cat looked back, landing on the ground. It's time to shine.
Kaida started running at a robot, along with Izuku and Kaminari. Slowly and slowly, she started growing taller and taller, muscles on her chest. Instead of noodle arms, she had well defined biceps. Her thighs were in peak condition. She grew and grew until she was about the size of All Might. Her facial features became more predatory, a lion-like snout. In summary, she was now a seven-foot tall, buff, orange lioness.
Kaminari looked agape, as did the audience. Male and female cats everywhere were wagging their tails, much to their owner's confusion.
"Let's go, motherfuckers!" Kaida grinned. She started running, almost as fast as Iida when he was a full throttle. She leapt into the air and slashed open the guts of one of the robots, an animal-like grin on her face.
While her quirk, on paper, was called Exceed, to cover up for her wings and sentience, in reality, her quirk was something Izuku like to call: Savage World. It allowed the user to turn their body into what it would be like if the user were raised in the harshest conditions imaginable, conditions which would make their bodies stronger, faster and more instinctual. Something one would require when they existed in a brutal land. This also meant the user became more prone to anger and violence, or in Layman's terms, more like Bakugo.
The three teammates, metaphorically, devoured the robots in their path, as they went up another level.
By the eighth floor, Kaminari's body had smoke coming from it, and he felt like hell at the moment. Every single molecule in his body felt like it was on fire. So Izuku forced him to stay put. He couldn't have someone with such great potential get a cardiac arrest.
Now all was left were the Dragon Slayer and Exceed. With a minute on the clock, and around 140-150 points, Team Midoriya had made it to the final part of the festival, much to the dismay of Team Monoma. But Izuku wasn't gonna go be in last place amongst the winners.
"Kaida, I'm going to need you to stand back" Izuku said to his companion. She nodded, reverting back to her normal form and used her Aera magic to fly out of the way. "DRAGON SLAYER SECRET ARTS!" His voice echoed throughout the stadium, as a bright green glow shone from the windows of the tower, "DRAGON'S JOY: GATTLING GUN!" Raising his palm to the ceiling, he kept his magic attack on enough for him to create a hole in the ceiling, and luckily the magical bullets pierced through. So now, the last few floors had a hole that was robot shaped. Immediately, robots started flooding down the holes, and the robots on the floor Izuku was currently recognised an energy signature and immediately went to Izuku's location. Right now, every single robot left, was with Izuku. 15 seconds left.
"WITH THE ANGER IN MY LEFT HAND!" A murderous red glow emanates from Izuku's left hand, "WITH THE JOY IN MY RIGHT!" A playful yellow engulfed his right hand, ignored by the robots who were practically on top of Izuku, "PUT THEM TOGETHER AND YOU HAVE..." His two hands clasped together, the two glows turning into one green aura, "SPIRIT DRAGON'S GREAT BEAM!" The beam of physical emotions escapes from his hands, as it annihilates all the robots in its path. Circling his beam around the area, every single robot faced the force of Izuku's might. And then, he stopped. He was out of juice. Collapsing on his knees, he looks around his surroundings to see no robot was left. He did it.
Wait. There's another robot. At the far corner. Probably it hadn't recognised Izuku yet
Midnight calls the team down, Kaminari and Iida already at the bottom floor. Flying down from the eighth floor of the tower was Kaida, carry a tired and exhausted Izuku.
"Congratulations! Team Izuku has made it in second place with 199 points!" The crowd goes wild. They hadn't expected such a last-minute increase in scores. Objectively, it was a better finish that Todoroki's, even though they got all 200 bots.
All Izuku could think about was how had he missed that last robot.
"AND WITH THAT, TEAM TODOROKI, SHIELD, SHINSOU AND MIDORIYA, MAKE IT TO THE FINAL PART OF THE FESTIVAL! GIVE IT UP FOR OUR PARTICIPANTS!" Midnight shouted, causing the crowd to once again go wild.
Meanwhile...
The Midoriya residence was currently flooding. Neighbours were reporting intense water leaks through the ceilings and walls. Those who knew the woman who lived in that apartment, knew why. After all, Inko Midoriya had the tear ducts of a goddess.
"IZUKUUUUU! I'M SO PROUD!" She cries, using up another box of tissues. Many claimed in the coming years that Climate Change was the reason for the dramatic rise in sea levels, but little did they know that 70% of the ocean is just Inko Midoriya's tears.
Back at the arena
Izuku Midoriya was currently resting in the medical room. He had only gotten a few bruises, but the reason he was there was due to quirk exhaustion. Kaminari was there as well, and he got quite the tongue lashing from Recovery Girl. Thankfully his body was resistant to electricity, because having a constant electrical current in your body is rather bad.
Izuku knew it was stupid to use up almost every single bit of available emotion he had, but he couldn't resist rubbing it in Kacchan's face.
He rose his head from the bed. Kaminari was still sleeping, and Recovery Girl was out of the room. Time for an escape plan. Using extra pillows Recovery Girl stores at the back of the room, he creates a decoy to hopefully make her believe that he was still asleep.
He runs out of the room and walks down the corridor. There he sees Todoroki and Melissa standing next to one another, with Bakugo and Kirishima listening around the corner. "I wonder what this is all about?" The boy thinks to himself as he walks behind the blonde and redhead.
Meanwhile...
"Hello there, Miss Kaida" A reporter says. She was currently interviewing Kaida, the animal companion of Izuku Midoriya, "I'm Morioka Kyoko, and I'd like to ask some questions on the behalf of Fauna Magazine!"
"Well, ask away!" Kaida responds, rather cockily. Naturally, the feline had an inflated ego considering her reveal
"Well, how do you feel about your performance in the second round?"
"I believe it's obvious! To be honest, I'm probably the MVP!" Kaida flexes to the camera, causing people to go 'Awww' nearby.
"That's interesting! What kind of food do you eat?"
"Only the best! Salmon-Flavoured Haddock, tinned of course!" Kaida says, "Naturally it's organic! How else would I have these abs?"
They continued trading answers and questions, people constantly finding the little cat cuter by the second.
Unfortunately, at the same time, something rather grim had occurred.
Musutafu Police Department
Detective Naomasa Tsukauchi wanted a nice day. He wanted a calm day. He just wanted a peaceful day where he could simply watch the UA Sports Festival. Was that too much to ask? Apparently so, considering he was now standing in front of the room in which Bai Li, AKA Minoru Mineta, was meant to be held.
"So, tell me again..." Tsukauchi started, rubbing the bridge of his nose, "How did a 15-year-old boy manage to escape and defeat seventeen trained police officers?" Somehow, the sleeper agent had escaped from his trance and managed to leave his restraints, whilst also knocking out the officers that were meant to be guarding him.
"We... We really don't have a clue sir" Officer Sansa said, looking at the notes he got from reviewing the CCTV footage. The boy had simply just slipped out of the tight ropes and beat every single officer in hand-to-hand combat. They had the tightest security and he still somehow managed to beat it.
"Please tell me the tracker is still on him" Tsukauchi sighed, but at the sight of Officer Sansa's face, he knew he was going to have many tired nights.
The detective picks up his phone. Apparently, the press found out about the escape. Though the UA Sports Festival would overshadow this news, he knew his superiors would demand answers.
"Fuck my life"
