Chapter 5

"So this is Uesugi-san's house?", said a bunny ribbon girl while looking at an apartment complex in one of the poor sides of Tokai. Yotsuba was in fact in front of said building with an envelope in her hands. Today was Sunday, the day after the Fireworks Festival that she passed with her sisters and the two Uesugi siblings.

As Fuutarou's first week of tutoring the 5 sisters went fine, their father Maruo had asked if one of them could go to bring the paycheck for the young man. Every sister offered then to personally bring it to his house, so they had decided to choose by playing rock, paper and scissors. The result was Yotsuba's win with the disappointment of the other sisters, as they really wanted to see Fuutarou just like Yotsuba.

Now that she reached his house, thanks the passage she had from Ebata, Yotsuba climbed the stairs of the building to reach the door of the Uesugi's apartment. When she was in front of it, she knocked slightly.

"Coming!", said a familiar male voice from behind the door.

In few seconds the door was opened, revealing a black haired guy with golden eyes who was wearing green trousers and a sleeveless t-shirt that highlighted his toned upper body. Such guy was met by the fourth Nakano sister, who blushed to see him in that outfit.

The young man looked at her and smiled. "Oh, Yotsuba? Good morning. What brings one of my students here?", greeted her the handsome young man.

Yotsuba, still blushing from seeing him like that, stuttered on her reply, "G-good morning y-y-you too, U-uesugi-san. I-I'm here to give y-you the paycheck for y-your tutoring job."

"Really? Come inside then.", he told her, while letting her enter.

When she stepped inside, Yotsuba noticed the poor conditions of their apartment; there was an abyss of difference between this one and her and her sisters' one. Now she could understand how amazed was Fuutarou when he entered the first time in the Pentagon .

Then she felt a hand on her head that made her look up to see the smile of her tutor. "Would you like to sit and drink something together? I have some orange juice in the fridge if you want."

The mention of orange juice made her smile brightly and she replied, "Yes, gladly! Thank you, Uesugi-san!" Her happy answer earned her a gentle headpat from him, which made her giggle.

'Fuutarou-kun is really nice hehe.', thought the young woman, enjoying the affectionate gesture.

After he stopped to pat her head, Yotsuba went to sit down near the table while Fuutarou was grabbing a orange juice bottle from the fridge. He returned, placing the bottle and a glass on the table and sitting in front of her. He opened the bottle to pour some juice in the glass for Yotsuba, that gladly accepted it and drank it.

"Hehe, thank you Uesugi-san. I really love orange juice.", thanked him the cheerful girl.

"Glad to know it haha. It makes me happy that you came here; Raiha went with Mom somewhere, but when they come back, they will be glad to see my cute friend here.", replied the young man with a smile.

Being called cute by him made Yotsuba blush again and giggle to receive compliments from him. But then she quickly remembered what he had to do and placed an envelope on the table, pushing towards him.

"This one is the paycheck that Papa wanted to give you for your job. He said that they're exactly 25000 yen as they are 5000 yen for each one of us.", explained to him the redhaired girl.

Fuutarou took the envelope and slightly opened to reveal the biggest amount of money that he's ever seen in his life. Such sight made him happy and pull out a nice smile at the girl in front of him.

"I really thank you and your sisters, Yotsuba. I'm glad that I had the possibility to help you 5 and my family too with this job. So, thanks a lot.", told her Fuutarou.

In the moment he said that, Yotsuba got up and went to sit next to him and hug him. Then she said with a happy voice, "Mm, it's me and my sisters that are really grateful to you, Uesugi-san. Our previous tutors had always gave up on us, but you're the first and the only one that didn't back down and became our friend too. You're really kind."

The young man was amazed by the sweet words that the bunny ribbon girl told him, nonetheless he continued to smile and returned her hug. He was used to her affections, and returning them was the right thing to do.

They stayed like that for a while, until a sound of a door opening made them look at where it came from. They saw then a young girl with black hair and a ponytail and a woman with short hair of the same color, who were looking at them giggling.

The woman in question said, "Ara, did we interrupt something?"

Fuutarou blushed a little and said, "Mom? Raiha? You came back earlier?"

"Yeah, Onii-chan. Mom and I found the shop close, so we returned now. So it's Yotsuba your girlfriend hehe."

After Raiha said that, Yotsuba immediately detached from Fuutarou and blushed heavily. She was in front of her crush's mom! And she thinks that she's his girlfriend and that she and Fuutarou were doing something. How embarrassing!

Noticing his friend's state, Fuutarou coughed and said, "We weren't doing anything, if you want to know. Yotsuba simply came to bring me the paycheck for my job as a tutor and thank me for helping her and her sisters. That's why we were hugging."

Shizuku was still giggling. "Fufu, so she's the sweet Yotsuba that loves hugging you. You can tell me that she's your girlfriend, don't be shy Fuu-chan.", she told him, making him and Yotsuba red.

"Mom!!", shouted an embarrassed Fuutarou, making Shizuku and Raiha laugh and prompting them to tell him that they were just teasing him.

"Umm, n-nice to m-meet you, Uesugi-san's Mama. M-my name is Y-yotsuba Nakano.", said suddenly the bunny ribbon girl, stuttering on her words.

Shizuku turned to her and smiled. "Hehe, nice to meet you too, Yotsuba-chan. There's no need to call me like that; you can call me Mama if you want."

Yotsuba blushed to the idea of calling her first love's mom like that, so she meekly replied, "O-o-ok, M-m-mama."

"Didn't your sisters come too, Yotsuba-chan? I would like to meet all of you.", said Shizuku, a little disappointed.

"W-well, me and my sisters had agreed that only I should have brought the paycheck to Uesugi-san. So they stayed at home."

'It's a shame that I couldn't meet all of Fuu-chan's new friends. But wait… Yeah, that could work!', thought Shizuku, coming up with a nice idea. Fuutarou noticed her happier expression and wondered what she was thinking now.

"Yotsuba-chan, how about you invite your sisters here to have lunch together? I would like to meet all of Fuu-chan's new friends!", proposed the Uesugi matriarch with a bright smile.

Raiha's eyes beamed. "Yes! I agree with Mom! Please Yotsuba-san! We can cook the curry udon for everyone!"

Yotsuba was stunned from the proposition received by the two Uesugi women, and unable to reply, she looked at her tutor to ask him his opinion. She saw his usual smile and his nice golden eyes looking directly at her. He then placed a head on her head and said, "I don't think it's a bad idea. I would like to have lunch all together me too." His reply and his kind gesture made the redhaired girl giggle, so she nodded and said that she would then call her sisters to invite them over. Shizuku and Raiha gave each other a high five, while Fuutarou simply smiled.

" I'm at Uesugi-san's house now, and his mother and Raiha-chan asked me if you 4 can come here to have lunch together. Uesugi-san said that he likes the idea."

This was the message that Yotsuba sent to each of her sisters, receiving positive responses in exchange. She was waiting at the table with Fuutarou, while Shizuku and Raiha had started to cook.

After some minutes, they heard a knock on the door, so Fuutarou got up to open it and check who it was. When he opened, he saw a redhaired girl with long hair and butterfly ribbons that as she saw his face, she said, "Good morning Fuu-kun! Thank you for inviting us hehe!"

Recognizing her, Fuutarou smiled and replied, "Good morning to you too, Nino. What's up with that nickname?"

"It's a nickname that I gave you after you helped us during the Fireworks Festival. Do you like it?"

Fuutarou patted her head then and said, "Yeah, it's very cute indeed. It means a lot if it comes from you, Nino. Thank you."

The butterfly ribbons girl blushed and enjoyed his gesture, smiling blissfully.

But another voice suddenly spoke up, "Nino, stop flirting with Fuutarou."

Nino and Fuutarou then looked behind her to see Miku, Ichika and Itsuki. Miku and Itsuki were pouting, while Ichika was giggling.

Hearing the world flirting made Nino flustered and say, "I-I'm not flirting with F-fuu-kun! I-I'm just greeting him, t-that's all!"

"Ara ara, just greeting him? Even if you were so happy like Itsuki to visit his house?", teased her Ichika.

The youngest Nakano stopped pouting and exclaimed, "Mouu, s-s-stop with the teasing, Ichika!"

While Nino and Itsuki were arguing with their older sister, Miku got closer to Fuutarou and smiled at him with red cheeks. "G-good morning, F-fuutarou, thanks for inviting us here. I'm really happy to have lunch with you and your family."

The young man gazed at her and gave her a kind smile, "Yo Miku, I'm glad to hear it haha. Wanna come inside?"

Miku nodded happily and stepped in the apartment, while Fuutarou turned to her sisters and said, "Girls, do you want to come inside?"

The other 3 sisters stopped their bickering to look at him, and after they registered what he told them, they smiled and nodded in agreement, following him inside.

When all 4 of them entered, they noticed the total difference in comparison to their house just like Yotsuba did earlier. Itsuki in particular reacted the most, feeling a little sad to know that Fuutarou wasn't kidding when he told her that he lived in such poor apartment.

Suddenly, a bunny ribbon girl came out from a corner and ran towards her sisters. "Hello everyone! You all came in the end hehe.", she greeted them, obtaining some smiles from them.

Then, another person came out and said, "Ara, you're all here. I can finally meet Fuu-chan's dear friends."

The girls looked in front of them to see a beautiful woman with short black hair and blue eyes, smiling at them. Said woman told them, "Nice to meet you, everyone. I'm Fuu-chan's mother."

All the girls, except Yotsuba that met her earlier, blushed and bowed nervously to greet her. "G-good morning, Uesugi-kun's/ Fuutarou's/Fuu-kun's mother.", they all said.

Shizuku giggled, "Hehe, you don't have to call me like that. Just like I told Yotsuba, you can call me Mama or Mom."

All the quints blushed when she said that, while Fuutarou stayed calm, as he didn't want to let her tease him like before. Then he said loudly, "Alright, I guess that I must present all of them now Mom. Their names are Ichika, Nino, Miku and Itsuki. Ichika is the one with short hair and an earring, Nino the one with butterfly ribbons, Miku with blues headphones and Itsuki with star hairpins." While presenting them, the young man gave each one a headpat greatly appreciated from everyone of them.

"My, you're so adorable! I can see why my son was so happy for having made friends with all of you ", told them Shizuku, making them redder and Fuutarou blush with a smile.

"Haha, yeah. You're right Mom. But how about you go to help Raiha with cooking while I dress the table? Midday is very near.", proposed her son, checking the time on his phone.

"Yes, good idea Fuu-chan. I leave you in charge of that. Make yourselves at home girls.", replied his mom, while returning to the kitchen.

But before she could move further, a sudden voice popped up and asked, "W-wait M-m-mama, c-c-could I h-help with cooking too?"

Shizuku turned around to see a flushed Nino with her hand raised as if she was volunteering for something. Shizuku smiled and said, "Fuu-chan told me that it was you who baked those delicious cookies. If you'd like to help me, I don't have any problems with that Nino-chan."

After such response, Nino's embarassed expression morphed into a smile and she nodded happily, following her tutor's mom. While doing this, she had a particular thought in mind, 'Yatta! If I help her and Raiha-chan, I can make something delicious for Fuu-kun!'

While Nino was following his mom, Fuutarou turned to the others to tell them, "Well, as my mom said, make yourselves comfortable girls. I will start to prepare the table meanwhile."

He turned around again to go collecting the bowls and other things, but he felt something touching his arm. He looked behind to see a blushing Miku touching embarassed his left arm.

Then she asked, "Umm, c-c-could I h-help you with that, F-f-fuutarou?"

The black haired guy was a little surprised by her offer, nonetheless he smiled and patted her head lovingly. "Yes, you can. Thank you, Miku."

The young woman's blush increased and she giggled, following him to take the needed objects for the table. Her sisters looked at her differently; while Yotsuba and Ichika had happy smiles, Itsuki had a little frown, as she wanted to ask him if she could help him, but Miku beat her at it. She was really jealous haha.

After 30 minutes, the lunch was ready, and the Uesugi family and the Nakano sisters were sitting all together around the table. Fuutarou had Itsuki and Nino sitting at his left and right, while the other sisters were closer to Raiha and Shizuku. Miku, Yotsuba and Ichika were slightly jealous of the other 2, as everyone wanted to sit next to the handsome young man. So now they were pouting out of jealousy, but they stopped immediately when everyone said "Itadakimasu!" and started eating.

The lunch consisted in various portions of curry udon prepared by Shizuku, Raiha and Nino. Nino in particular put some spices in the main dish to add flavor, and she also baked some cookies as dessert.

While he was eating, Fuutarou savoured the curry udon, smiling brightly for how good it was. Itsuki did the same. "This udon is so delicious! What did you put inside?", asked the young man to the 3 cooks.

It was his mother to reply, "Fufu, thank you Fuu-chan. But the merit goes to Nino-chan. She wanted to make it very tasteful, so she added some spices for that. She's really talented."

Fuutarou then looked at the butterfly ribbons girl at his right, who was looking down with a big blush and embarassed. The young man smiled and told her, "It's really good, Nino. Mom is right: you're very good at cooking!"

Nino looked at him swiftly, and despite the warmth in her cheeks, she smiled blissfully and thanked him dearly. "I-I w-wanted to t-thank you for saving me f-from that jerk that wanted to hurt me during the festival, so I wanted to cook something good for you.", she told him, lowering her gaze.

When she heard what Nino said, Shizuku asked, "A jerk tried to hit you and Fuutarou saved you?"

Nino turned to his mother and smiled, remembering that moment where Fuutarou saved her like he was her knight and punched the jerk. "Y-yes, Fuu-kun saw that an ugly guy was trying to punch me and intervened by punching him in the face and making him run away. He was really cool hehe.", replied the second Nakano sister giggling.

"My, it seems that you're still like your father, Fuutarou. Even if you don't have blond hair and your delinquent look anymore, you still act like him hehe."

The Nakano sisters and Raiha got shocked and shouted in unison, "Fuutarou/Onii-chan was blond before?!"

Shizuku chuckled at their reaction, "Hehe, yeah, Fuu-chan had blond hair and a delinquent look 5 years ago. He was the exact example of a bad boy, but just like my husband he was someone that protected the others from bullies. He and Isanari made me worry often hehe."

What she said made her son scratch his backhead a little embarassed and say, "Y-yeah, she's right. In comparison to now, I was quite rude and didn't like studying at all. I preferred playing around and picking up fights with bullies when they annoyed me. If you don't believe it, here's a proof."

Then he pulled out from his pocket his student handbook, opening to the last page. Itsuki and Nino looked at it, as they were sitting next to him, and what they saw amazed them. In the handbook there was the photo of a boy with spiky blond hai and a left earring, who was scowling. He wore a black hoodie and white trousers.

Nino was looking at the photo with some thoughts in the head. 'T-this is Fuu-kun?! He's totally my type! So that's why he told me that he didn't act that time. He was already a hot bad boy! How interesting fufu.'

'U-uesugi-kun was like this? Unbelievable. He was so different back then', thought instead Itsuki, a little stunned to see the previous look of her dear friend.

Fuutarou then passed the handbook to Ichika, Miku, Yotsuba and his sister. While Raiha and Miku were looking at his old photo with amazement, and Yotsuba with a feeling of nostalgia, Ichika was shocked.

'No way… H-he's that boy… That boy who I played Sevens with in Kyoto!', thought the oldest sisters, realizing that their tutor was in fact the young punk that she met 5 years ago during a Kyoto trip and played cards with. He was also her first love.

Then he took a quick glance at Fuutarou, who was chuckling with Nino and Itsuki about some funny episodes of his punk days. 'You changed so much from back then. I'm really happy to finally meet you again.', thought Ichika, smiling blissfully because of the happiness of reuniting with the boy she met years ago.

Yotsuba, on the other hand, was both happy and sad. She was happy that Fuutarou still conserved the photo they took together in Kyoto, and also sad because she would like to tell him her true identity, but she decided that she'll wait until when she can show him how better she can be in her studies. So she'll just show her affection to him with her sweet hugs for now.

Suddenly, the Uesugi matriarch spoke up again, "Hehe, it seems that my son's old look really caught the eyes of everyone of you. If one of you 5 would like to date him, you can tell me hehe."

Her sentence made almost every quint flush like their hair and look down embarassed. It's true that their tutor was handsome and really nice, but it's too soon see him in that sense!

The only ones who weren't so embarassed were Nino, Miku and Ichika, that were having some ideas to hang out with the young man after hearing Shizuku's words.

' I could ask Fuu-kun to go shopping together and make him choose some outfits for me. His kindness and the bravery that he showed me are really attractive. Plus, he has that bad boy side of his too fufu.'

'Hehe, I'm so happy that Fuutarou-kun is the same boy that I met that time. I was already attracted to him after he helped me with my photoshoot, but now my feelings are real. Maybe I can invite him to the photoshoot at the agency when Oda-san calls me hehe.'

'F-fuutarou likes the Sengoku era like me. If I invite him to visit a museum, he will surely say yes. So we can pass some time alone together.'

"Alright Mom, stop it please. You're embarrassing more them than me like this ", said Fuutarou, a little annoyed by his mom's teasing.

Shizuku pouted, "Mouu, you're not funny Fuu-chan. Maruo-kun's daughters are so adorable that I can't help it."

At the sound of their father's name every quint got frozen. Did they hear correctly? Fuutarou's mom knew their father?

"Umm, M-mama, how d-do you know our father?", asked Itsuki, embarrassed to call her like that.

Shizuku gazed to her and smiled, "Let's say that my husband, Maruo-kun and I were all classmates in high school. While Maruo-kun was the top student with high grades, my husband Isanari was quite the delinquent that hated studying, so they argued various times. Their arguing was often stopped by our home teacher, Rena-sensei, who was the crush of Maruo-kun at the time."

It was Nino to ask a question now, "W-wait, Mama was your and Fuu-kun's papa teacher too?"

"Hehe, yes. Isanari and I fell in love with each other at that time, and as we were aware of Maruo-kun's crush for Rena-sensei, we always tried to push him to confess in order to not have regrets after. In the end he confessed, and Rena-sensei told him that she felt the same, but she would have married him only after he turned 20. Seems that he managed to get married from what I see. You 5 are beautiful just like Rena-sensei. Right, Fuu-chan?", she replied, shifting her gaze to her son.

The young man was shocked like the quints from knowing the story that connected his parents to theirs, and when he heard his name called by Shizuku, he quickly got over his shock and said, "Of course they are, what kind of question is that?"

Needless to say that his straightforward answer made every sister blush heavily and giggle happily to know that he found them beautiful. Shizuku and Raiha smiled to see him so honest.

"Did you hear girls? My son finds everyone of you beautiful, so you have an advantage against the other girls at school fufu.", said Shizuku with a bright smile.

Hearing this made all the quints (Itsuki included because she can't deny anymore that she likes Fuutarou more than a friend) very happy, but also alarmed because they knew how popular he was at school. So they have to step up their game if they want to avoid that a girl asks him out first!

'That's why I never invite a female friend at home. Mom and Raiha really like teasing me on this subject after all.', thought the young man while eating some cookies baked from Nino and giving her a headpat as thanks, which was gladly welcomed.

For the rest of the lunch, the Uesugi family and the quints chatted together while eating the cookies baked by Nino as dessert, that got her some compliments from Shizuku and her children, making her blush. Her sisters got a little jealous for this, but got over it because they wanted to enjoy this time all together.

After a while, they finished to eat, with Itsuki smiling happily to have had such a good lunch with everyone. Her sisters agreed just like the Uesugi family, and Fuutarou proposed then to accompany his friends to their house, as his way to thank them for the nice time passed together.

Every sister gladly accepted, so the young man put on his shoes and followed them outside to reach their house, leaving Raiha and Shizuku at home.

"Wow, you and Fuutarou weren't kidding about how they were so cute. Your brother found some pretty girls as new friends.", said Shizuku, hugging her daughter.

"That's why I want Onii-chan to marry one of them, so they can all become my sisters. Onii-chan seems very happy too when he's with them.", replied Raiha giggling.

"I would like too to have them as my daughters in law. Fuu-chan smiled all the time while talking with them, just like when he talked about his childhood crush after the Kyoto trip."

Raiha got stunned. "Onii-chan had a childhood crush?! I'm curious now! Tell me everything Mom!", she said loudly, eager to know about her brother's first love.

Shizuku smiled to see her daughter being so curious about this, so she proceeded to tell her everything that Fuutarou told her about a sweet young girl with blue eyes and red long hair, who was one of main reasons that brought him to become who he's today.

And here is the 5th chapter! So all the quints met Fuutarou's mom and had lunch together with the Uesugi family. Also, Fuutarou showed his photo of when he was blond, making Nino and Ichika be fully interested in him, just like Itsuki realized her feelings too fufu.

It seems that Shizuku knew both the Nakano sisters' parents, and not just Dead Eyes Maruo. This shocked both the sisters and Fuutarou, showing how connected their stories are. Shizuku also talked about the Kyoto girl with Raiha. When will Fuutarou do the same with the sisters? Who will be able to have some time alone with him? Or will it go differently?
