Few months ago
"24 hours in the Life of Mouri Kogoro?"
TV Producer, Somei Shougo and his secretary, Kuzumi Maiko comes to visit Kogoro. Both Shinichi and Kogoro are with them while Ran and Conan upstairs preparing dinner. Shinichi and Conan happen to be there because Ran need help from Conan for making dinner since Conan is the best when it comes to making food based on beef.
"Yes on Monday at 9 AM, during golden time. We often have programs like that where we follow the daily lives of policemen but this time we like to try a spot with a private detective" said Somei explaining the show
"Still, being followed the whole time for 24 hours…" said Kogoro smirk
"Don't worry, when it's bad time you can tell us and we will turn the camera off" said Somei
"But still…"
"He hasn't had any clients recently… right?" asked Shinichi smirking to Kogoro
"Ah no, sshh! Shut up detective brat!" said Kogoro angrily
Suddenly the door open shows Ran and Conan entering the agency and surprised to see guests
"Eh we have guests?" asked Ran surprise
"Good evening" said Conan to the two guests
"Hello, my name Somei Shougo and this is my secretary, Kuzumi Maiko" said Somei
"Good evening" said Maiko smiling
"What's going on?" asked Conan to Shinichi
"Ah well…"
Shinichi tell everything about them want to make reality show based on Kogoro which Ran just smirk to him
"But these days, he spends the day drinking beer, listening to horse racing and plays mahjong at night. Having them follow him might be a problem" said Ran with bored look
"You don't have any work?" asked Somei worried
"Ahh well… No, it only happens that's the case now" said Kogoro start to panic
Ran, Shinichi and Conan just smirk to him which make Kogoro glare at them
"Rather than him, why not ask Shinichi-niichan to be on the show?" asked Conan act innocently
"Oi!" shout Kogoro panic
"We already talk about in the staff meeting but my friend from other broadcasting team said that Kudou-kun always turn off the offer of reality shows" said Somei
"Hahaha… I don't like being followed by camera after all" said Shinichi laugh
"Rather than you don't want people to found out about your life at home" thought Conan which getting a glare from Shinichi
Kogoro just glare at the high schoolers and grade schooler until coming of the idea of a stage case for him. Which Somei quickly turn off due to don't have time making it and scared if the viewers realize that it was staged. As both Somei and Kuzumi look through their watches, Ran notices that both of their watches are the same which assume that both of them are dating. Somei quickly declined and told her that Kuzumi is just his secretary that has been working for him from the start
"Still… it's disappointing, I thought you would say okay for sure. I already set up meeting with Nakame-san" said Somei
"Nakame-san?" asked Kogoro
"He's producer from Touto. The truth is, I arranged a meeting about the program together with Nakame-san"
"What? You decided that on your own without asking about my availability?"
"I figured that when you saw the name of the program narrator, you would respond with a favorable reply"
"Narrator?"
Shinichi who's holding the proposal look at the narrator name, Ran and Conan join to see which now understand why Somei are sure about it
"The narrator is Okino Yoko" said Shinichi as he read it
"Seriously?!" shout Kogoro as he snatches the proposal to see the name
"Then, will she also come to the meeting as well?" asked Ran to Somei
"Yes, of course…"
Kogoro quickly take the producer's hand and accept the reality show in seconds. Shinichi and Conan just bitter laugh looking at the old man accepting easily after seeing Yoko's name on the show as well
"This old man is really easy to manipulate…" thought Conan
"Couldn't agree more…" thought Shinichi as well
After both Somei and Kuzumi leaves, Ran told them to go up to start preparing for dinner. Little did they know that they will stumble a very sad case along with it
Time Skip~
Touto Sky Apartment
Kogoro, Ran and Conan are now in front of the apartment waiting for Somei to arrive. Conan happens to be with them because Shinichi has to meet a client. They already wait for about 30 minutes but Kogoro seems okay waiting since when it comes to Okino Yoko, he will do anything. So as Conan waits, he took a quick call to his big brother
"Niichan, it's me" said Conan through his phone
"Oh Conan, what's wrong? Shouldn't you at that apartment with Occhan and Ran" said Shinichi
"Yeah but Somei-san hasn't come yet so we are still waiting for him. How about you?"
"I'm at home now, it turns out my client reschedule the meeting to next week"
"That's too bad, how about you come here as well? But it's raining…"
"Well I think I can go while pick you up by taxi later or wait for the rain to stop"
"Just call me if you had arrived"
"Okay, see you later"
Conan close his phone and as on cue Somei arrives with his car. Somei apologize to Kogoro for his tardiness and want to park the car. Conan notices that Somei's clothes are very wet like he was standing in the middle of rain
On the 20th floor
"Yoko-chan couldn't come?!" asked Kogoro surprised
"It seems she had something come up suddenly. So we will have the full meeting on another day" said Somei
"I see…"
"Pardon me, but are you alright?" asked Ran to Somei
"Eh?" asked Somei surprised
"You seemed tired ever since we met up earlier"
"Well, various difficulties kept coming up…"
After they arrive to the apartment, the person who owns it doesn't answer the doorbell. Kogoro about to go back since Yoko is not present but Somei stop him and told him that something may happen inside since Nakame seems to be down and talk about wanting to suicide. Kogoro quickly ask him to call the apartment manager to open the door
The manager open the door and both Kogoro and Somei start to search immediately. Conan ask Ran to stay on the door to watch until suddenly both of them heard Somei's scream so Conan quickly look which found Nakame already lying down on the floor. Kogoro comes in and goes to the body immediately, he found an almond smell coming from his mouth which concluded to be poison. Conan looks around the room which he found suspicious, he took the coffee cup and look under it which have coffee stain under the coffee plate, Conan look under the plate which there's no stain on it.
"This wasn't suicide… It's a murder, and the culprit probably…" thought Conan looks at Somei seriously
Time Skip~
Ran who's still in front of the door are looking at the room while waiting for the police to arrive but much to her surprise to see her childhood friend instead
"Ran! What's going on?" asked Shinichi surprised
"Shinichi… the producer, Nakame-san died…" said Ran
"What?! Where is it?"
"Over there"
Shinichi quickly run to the room and see that Conan is looking at the stain on the floor. Shinichi quickly pat his shoulder which surprised the boy
"Shinichi… niichan" said Conan surprised
"Everywhere you go, you will have to run into murder cases huh Conan" said Shinichi smirk
"Shut up…"
"Can you tell me in details on what you found suspicious as this is not a suicide but a murder instead?"
"You read me huh… "
Moments later Inspector Megure comes with Takagi and other polices to investigate the scene. Somei quickly give brief explanation Inspector Megure about what happen while the brothers stay near the sofa hearing Inspector Megure trying to understand the situation
"Once again, completely by coincidence, would unfortunately be you, wouldn't it Mouri-kun" said Inspector Megure to Kogoro
"Yes keibu-dono" said Kogoro slightly laugh
"But don't you think it's pretty strange? Isn't an ongoing mystery why you're conveniently there each and every time?!"
Kogoro look at the inspector in confused until Inspector Megure decided to drop it off. Shinichi on the other hand just bitter laugh
"Well it only happen when Conan is here so can we conclude that this boy is the trigger?" thought Shinichi
Conan who heard him kick his back which make the high schooler fell to the sofa and glare at the boy who look elsewhere and that it when Inspector Megure notice Shinichi
"Kudou-kun?! Conan-kun is here?" asked Inspector Megure surprised
"Hehehe…" laugh the brothers
"Keibu, so the cause of the death is poisoning wasn't it?" asked Kogoro
"In regards on that, how is it Tome-san?" asked Inspector Megure to the forensics
"The details will have to wait until the autopsy so it's hard to say. However, there's probably not much doubt. The presumed time of death appears to have been sometime after 6:30 PM" said Tome to the inspector as he check on the body
Shinichi look at the body once again and realize that the timing between on the death and their arrival is faster than expected
"Oi Conan… Don't you think you broke into the apartment rather too soon?" asked Shinichi to his little brother
"Aahh… we broke in after what Somei-san said about Nakame-san. Kogoro-ojiisan ask him to call the manager to open the door" said Conan with his hands on his pockets
"Care to explain Mouri-kun" said Inspector Megure
"Yeah, Somei-san said that Nakame-san had recently been saying things frequently about committing suicide. So I felt there might be an emergency" said Kogoro
"I see…"
"Still inspector, we shouldn't discard the possibility of murder" said Takagi serious
Somei was surprised by Takagi's remark about possibility of a murder happens on the room which caught Conan's attention immediately. Shinichi look at his little brother who seems very sure that Somei is the culprit of the Nakame's murder
"Isn't supposed to be suicide?" asked Somei
"No, Takagi-keiji is right. This may be a sealed room but since he drank poison, we can't be sure it was suicide" said Shinichi who walk right to Takagi's side
"Ah re re, there's a coffee stain under the saucer" said Conan as he holds the cup of coffee
"Oi brat! Don't touch anything carelessly!" shout Kogoro about to take Conan away but stop by Shinichi
"Continue" said Shinichi serious smile to him
Conan smiles as Shinichi help him to stop Kogoro so he quickly points the stain on the table
"Look at the stain, usually when it spills while it's still on the saucer there should be a circular stain from the bottom of the plate. But on this table, there isn't a circular stain" said Conan pointing it
"I see… instead the stain shows two lines and by the looks of it, the saucer doesn't have a coffee stain" said Shinichi as he bends down to look under the saucer
"Hmm… that's true" said Inspector Megure looking at the saucer as well
Takagi, Kogoro and Inspector Megure quickly deduct that someone did purposely make it like that but they were questioning who did it, Conan quickly smirk as he sees it
"I don't know the reason they did it, but I do know who did it. The one who could do this after the coffee had dried was the one who came into the apartment first and found Nakame-san's body so it had to be the one who first discovered the body, President Somei right?" said Conan who look serious but still using his childish voice
"Wait Conan-kun, what are you saying!" shout Ran who quickly took him away
"Hm! Children say the oddest things" said Somei
"No… it definitely couldn't have been anyone but you. Spilled coffee would normally take an hour to dry and if the presume time of the crime was around 6:30 PM… We came in here around before 8 PM so you came into this sealed room first to hide some evidence you weren't able to remove earlier, didn't you?" asked Kogoro glaring at Somei
Somei become angry by the accusation by Kogoro. Shinichi look around the room which notice stain coffee on the floor right next to the table. Conan who sees his big brother goes closer to the stain ask Ran to let him go and he goes to Shinichi
"What's wrong?" asked Conan
"Conan… I think you make a wrong deduction" thought Shinichi serious while looking at his little brother
"Eh?"
"This isn't a ordinary murder… An impossible crime!"
Conan was shock to hear Shinichi's thoughts and he looks closer to the stain on the floor which he understands what Shinichi means by impossible crime. Both of them show a serious and surprised look by the facts. Ran look at them who shows a scary face which make her worried
"Conan-kun… Shinichi… what's wrong?" asked Ran worried
"Aahh… Look at the floor here" said Shinichi as he points down on the floor
Kogoro quickly comes closer to see by himself which see the front chair leg each have stain coffee on it and leave a circular stain on the floor but on the right one it has a circular spot missing from the stain. Conan asks that why the chair is moved which make the stain look like that and then Kogoro moved the chair to make the right stain goes the same but it turns out the stain on each leg didn't reach which make a space between the stains on the floor
All the adults look closely which understand what both brothers just said which proof that the chair moved when the coffee hasn't dried yet
"That's true but there's no way the chair could have moved on its own" said Takagi
"It's not like someone else was sitting on it"
The thoughts quickly jolt on the adults mind as they realize the situation immediately
"Exactly. When the coffee spilled, this is a clear proof that someone was sitting here. Right Shinichi-niichan?" said Conan to his big brother
"Yeah, you're right" said Shinichi smirk
"Wait a minute! If that's the case, the entryway door was locked and the chain lock was attached and the fact that no one except the corpse was in this room means…" said Inspector Megure panic
"An impossible crime, sealed room murder" said Takagi serious
"No, it could also be that when we came into the apartment, the culprit was still lurking inside this room and in the confusion, they slipped out and made their escape" said Kogoro
"I don't think that's possible. That's because I stayed at the entryway the whole time like Conan-kun told me to. Nobody came out of the room until the police arrived" said Ran quickly interject her father's statement
"What did you say!?"
Shinichi and Conan quickly look around the room as finally the adults notice of the impossible crime of this case is. Inspector Megure quickly told the police officers who are now with him to search the whole apartment to look for the culprit and he also secretly asks Takagi to look into Somei's alibi on what is he doing and all
Takagi call Somei's office to ask about his statement about being sick, Conan and Shinichi quickly goes to his side to overhear the call. Takagi notice them but let them off since he already used to Shinichi doing it. It turns out the special show that feature Kogoro was scrapped by Nakame which surprise them since Somei didn't tell any of them about the news and yet make them go to his apartment knowing that the business meeting with Nakame is cancelled
"Oh speaking of him, I saw him at a nearby drugstore earlier this evening" said the staff on the phone
"About what time was that?" asked Takagi
"I think it was around 6:30"
"6:30?!"
Conan and Shinichi look at each other surprised by the revelation. If it's true then he has a perfect alibi since the location of his company and Nakame's apartment is quite far. Takagi quickly dial the drugstore that the staff mention it. The pharmacists confirm about it which means Somei has a perfect alibi
"Before that, he got a phone call from someone here" said the pharmacists
"Do you know who it was from?" asked Takagi
"I'm sure it was a woman, he calls her Maiko"
"Maiko?"
"Maiko?" thought both brothers
"From what I remember, she is Somei's secretary" thought Conan
"So she telephoned Somei-san at that time…" thought Shinichi look down thinking
Suddenly both Shinichi and Conan notice the cake on the table which have a slice line on it. Shinichi realize it and then look at the table near the sofa. Conan also realize it and quickly goes to the nearby plant and smell it which he can sense a coffee smell from it. Shinichi then look around and notice that Kogoro and Inspector Megure comes out from the balcony which he quickly approached him
"Nee keibu, was that window locked?" asked Shinichi
"Yeah but just to be sure we opened it and checked the veranda" said Inspector Megure
Shinichi look closely to the window while Conan goes to Kogoro
"So how's the veranda? Could they have reached the next apartment or jumped down from it?" asked Conan to Kogoro
"Impossible, the next door veranda is blocked by a wall and there was no evidence that the emergency ladder was used to descend to the veranda and most importantly, this is the 20th floor. No matter how few people might be in the parking lot directly below using a rope or something to descend would be slow and somebody would notice them coming down" said Kogoro serious
"I see… which means the culprit will not descend from there"
"Well, they could have jumped off using a hang glider like Kaito Kid but the weather seems to intense for that"
Shinichi look out of the window while Conan got thinking while looking at the sofa table after hearing Kogoro. Shinichi look serious as he seems to figured out everything, he looks at Conan who seems still hasn't solved it yet
"Niichan, do you figure out the trick on how Somei-san get out the apartment?" asked Conan to his big brother
"Conan… do you want to hear me out?" said Shinichi with low voice
"Eh?"
Shinichi quickly told him his deduction which shock the boy immediately. He was about to fight it but Shinichi hold his shoulders
"Conan… There's only one answer to this impossible crime… The sad truth is the only one" said Shinichi with serious look
"Niichan… are you sure it's the only answer? I mean Somei-san could have done something else like-"
"I know it's too much but it is the truth, if you can't handle it then it's fine... I will tell them on my own"
Conan look at his big brother serious until he sighs with his eyes covered by the light of his glasses
"No, I will help… What should I do?" asked Conan serious
"Alright... First, you have to make the adults notice everything about this room" said Shinichi while patting Conan's head
At the same time
Somei ask Inspector Megure if he can leave now since it's getting late for him to stay awake since he's still sick but Inspector Megure stop him and told him to wait a little longer. He quickly goes to Takagi to ask about Somei's alibi which Takagi told him everything from what he knows from the staff and the pharmacists about his alibi. Inspector become serious since now they have to solve the trick
"At the time like this I wish Kudou-kun solved it quickly but it seems he's still thinking" said Inspector Megure while looking at Shinichi who's looking outside the window
"Well we can hope on Mouri-san to solve it too" said Takagi
"Yeah that guy comes up with something when he goes 'Nyo-hyo' or whatever it is"
"Well sometimes Conan-kun unintentionally says some word that becomes a clue for solving the case too"
Suddenly both of them heard a scream from the boy which to be arguing with Ran
"Why can't I?" asked Conan in childish voice
"You can't! Stop saying such strange things" said Ran scolding him
Ran's remark quickly attract attention to the both polices and they quickly go around the boy and the high schooler
"What was it? What strange thing did you say!?" asked Inspector Megure immediately
"Could it have been something important related to the case?" asked Takagi
"Ah no… this boy is hungry and he wants to eat the cake that's on the table" said Ran calming the two adults
"Hahh…" said both police with doted eyes and surprised
"But nobody else is going to eat that cake, so it should be fine right!" said Conan begging
"Now now Conan-kun, that cake is an important piece of evidence so we still have to do various tests on it" said Takagi to the boy
"You're lying, I'm sure both Takagi-keiji and Megure-keibu will eat it later right?"
"Ah no no, we wouldn't do such thing" said Inspector Megure with a laugh at the boy's statement
"But… isn't it just the right size for two portions?"
"Two portions?" asked both polices
Both Shinichi and Conan smirk to each other as the adults and Ran quickly move toward the table to see the line on the cake that indicate two portions. As Conan about to say the reason, Kogoro quickly interject about Nakame decided to eat a bigger piece
"There's a remainder of whole cake in the refrigerator so he could change the size however he liked" said Kogoro smirking
"Oi oi when did this old man go look inside the refrigerator" thought both brothers
"Ran does that a lot too, when she buys cake for our customers, she buys extra and then eats two portions by herself. It's all thanks to the weird ideas she grew up with"
"That has nothing to do with this!" shout Ran angrily
Shinichi just laugh by the father-daughter while Conan on the other hand, move closer to the plant near the table
"Speaking of growing up, if you give coffee to a tree, will it grow up bigger?" asked Conan
"Give coffee to a tree?" asked Inspector Megure confused
"He's just saying meaningless things again" said Kogoro
"No… you are old man…" thought Shinichi
"But I can smell coffee from that flowerpot" said Conan while pointing the plant near him
Inspector Megure quickly inspect the plant with Kogoro, Conan run toward the sofa table and goes in front of the pen stand on it
"Ah re re, there's a smell of coffee from this pen stand too. He must really like coffee" said Conan smiling childishly
Takagi start to notice the things that Conan mention and understand the true settings of the table before someone change it. Takagi immediately arrange the things like taking the cup from the sofa table and arrange one slice of the cake to the plate that was under the poisoned coffee. As he was done arranging, now the table shows it was two people who was there
"I see… but who would do such thing" said Inspector Megure
"The culprit must have done this to make us think Nakame-san committed suicide" said Kogoro
"I'm asking who it is!"
"That was…" thought both Shinichi and Conan seriously
Ran come closer to the high schooler who was standing right near the sofa looking at the situation
"Shinichi… you have been awfully quiet today" whisper Ran to Shinichi
"That because… I already know, the culprit it is" said Shinichi as he close his eyes
"Eh?! You figured it out?!"
"Well… At least it is…"
Shinichi sigh and then look at Conan's eyes like telling him to do his last part which Conan quickly nod. Ran immediately understand that Shinichi is using Conan to make the police understand the real arrangement of the room
"Ah re re, that's strange" said Conan looking at the table
"Another of your 'ah re re' trademark? That's the third time today" said Kogoro to the boy
"There's aren't enough items on the table"
"Hmmm cakes, plates and coffee cups, there are two each. Isn't that enough?"
"Fork… there's only one fork to eat the cake with" said Ran who look closely to the table
"You're right, then the fork is still hidden somewhere" said Inspector Megure
"No"
Suddenly a voice grab everyone's attention which to be the person who was standing on the door the whole time, Somei
"If I had the time to hide it in the kitchen cupboard, I'd have put the coffee cup in the sink too but there wasn't enough time so unthinkably I put it in my pocket" said Somei while looking down
Both Shinichi and Conan quickly look at him serious as he quickly confessed without arguing for innocence and other things. Inspector Megure and Takagi seems didn't feel right by the confession so they press about his alibi in the drug store and coffee stain on the chair which Somei quickly interject all of it and say it that it was him
"More importantly, if I didn't make those stains, then who are you saying did? How would such a person lock the apartment from the inside and where would you say they vanished to" asked Somei provoke him
Suddenly Kogoro feel sting on his neck and start to get drowsiness and then asleep on sitting position, the Sleeping Kogoro has arrived to the scene.
"Yes, they vanished into the other world" said Conan in Kogoro's voice
Shinichi quickly step up right beside Kogoro and goes near the door. He looks at Conan as they nod to each other
"As Mouri-tantei just said, that's the mystery everyone wants to ask about. On how did the culprit leave this sealed apartment and where did they vanish too" said Shinichi serious
"Yes, the answer is the other world. What I mean is they escaped into a place we can't reach, into the realm of the dead" said Conan
"I'm starting to get confuse by this Kudou-kun, Mouri-kun" said Inspector Megure
"Please think about it for a moment, even though the window in this room was closed, why are the curtains are wet?" said Shinichi while looking through the window
"And when Somei-san came to the apartment, his jacket was wet despite the fact he was riding inside a car?" said Conan
Both detective words make Somei speechless and start to get uneasy by the situation
"At the time of the crime, around 6:30, Somei-san got a call on his phone from another person beside me" said Conan still using Kogoro's voice with his voice changer bowtie
"And that means… the culprit is someone that Somei-san wanted to protect even though he had to pin the crime to himself" said Shinichi looking at Somei
Ran start to understand the whole situation immediately and start to get shaky
"Wait… you're not saying…" said Ran in low voice
"Yes… the culprit who killed Nakame-san…" said Shinichi
"Kuzumi Maiko-san" said both Shinichi and Conan in Kogoro's voice
The words that come out from them shock the entire room. Ran put her hands near her mouth in shock by the revelation. Somei look at the detectives in disbelief
"She probably… came here to visit, bringing the cake along and give Nakame-san the poisoned coffee. After confirming his death, she quickly went out onto the veranda and jump ending her life" said Shinichi in low voice
"No way…" said Ran in shock
"Then the call Somei-san got on his phone at the time of the crime was from her?" asked Takagi
"Probably she called to tell him she was about to commit suicide since Somei-san was the one she trusted and cared the most" said Conan
"No no no! It was me! It was me! Please arrest me, keibu-san!" shout Somei while holding both Inspector Megure's shoulders
"Are you sure it's okay to leave it likes this?" asked Shinichi in low voice
"Eh?"
"If you are taken to questioning, it will remain shut up in this cold hearted rain after it had fallen the twenty stories from the veranda to the parking lot. You laid it down in the trunk of your car, becoming dripping wet in the process, Maiko-san's body"
Shinichi's words hit Somei hard which make him fell down to the ground and cry by the revelation. Conan comes out from hiding and look at Somei's painful cry along with the rain. Ran goes beside the boy and Conan hold her hands to calm her down by the sad truth that was revealed
After that, the police found Maiko's body in the trunk and quickly take the body to the ambulance. Somei has to come for questioning leaving the rest stay to look from the apartment door. They can see the medics put the body on the ambulance and Somei look at the ambulance is sad look. Conan who was holding both Shinichi and Ran's hand can't help to squeeze by the sad revelation between the two
The next day
Shinichi, Conan and Ran are now at Ran's house to be exact, they are now in the kitchen as Ran open the fridge
"Ah re… the cake is gone?" said Ran surprised
"Oi oi you called us here in the middle of the rain to give us something" said Shinichi
"Ah what's wrong?" asked Kogoro who comes in the kitchen seeing all of them
"Weird… Mom told me she bought four pieces of cake for both of us and for Shinichi and Conan-kun and put them in the fridge while we were out. There's only two left" said Ran
"Look more carefully, there are four pieces there"
Ran look closely which she sees the slice on the cakes indicates indeed four slices
"Oh you're ri- isn't this two pieces cut into four?" said Ran with low voice
Kogoro become surprised by Ran's words, Shinichi take one of the slice and inspect the slice
"The cellophane wrapping on the cake looks like it's been used before" said Shinichi
"Yeah almost like it's been reapplied" said Conan with bored look
"Is-is that so?" asked Kogoro nervously
"Aahh! There's a cream on the knife!" shout Ran as she found a knife with cream on it
"As expected" thought both brothers
"You ate two pieces by yourself right?!" shout Ran while holding the knife
"Oi oi! Careful with the knife!" shout Kogoro panic
Shinichi just laugh and notice Conan who turned quiet while looking at the cake which he understands immediately
"Ran, it's fine. You can have the rest. We're not really into cakes after all" said Shinichi
"Yeah… you can have my piece Ran-neechan" said Conan with a soft smile
"Shinichi… Conan-kun…" said Ran surprised
Both brothers just smile at her which Ran immediately give the two last pieces to Kogoro instead. Three of them goes to the window and look at the rain as they reminisce of what happen yesterday which make them doesn't want to eat a cake in the rain

Shinichi enter the keyword which make the bomb timer stop and all of them sigh in relief. Moments later, a door opens to another white room. Before Shinichi goes in, Ran stop him while holding his hand that was handcuffed to her
"Shinichi… I'm scared" said Ran worried
"Ran… Everything will be fine, I don't know who's behind this but we have no choice to do what he says" said Shinichi as he looks to another room
Ran nodded to him and as Shinichi dash toward to another room, his handcuff was unlocked which make Ran fall down with Conan on her arms.
"Shinichi/Niichan!" shout both Ran and Conan
Shinichi want to go help them but then the door quickly shut which make them separated just like they were separated with Kogoro
"Ran! Conan!" shout Shinichi as he hit the door in anger
Suddenly a monitor appear right beside the door shows a date. Shinichi knows immediately what case is it about in that date
"This is… that day when Occhan and I are called…" thought Shinichi looking at the date
