Chaos POV
I sighed, all the primordials were fighting like children. I sat on my throne, which was at the head of the U the thrones made, kind of like the Olympians's thrones. Going back to the bickering thing, there was obviously one primordial not fighting, Perseus. My son. A real son. He was born from me and Order, and he was the oldest out of all the primordials. (Besides me and Order of course). He had the domains of Good, Oaths, Law, Magic, Creation and Protection. SInce he was the oldest, he was powerful. Very powerful. But with his domain of good, I know he would use the power correctly, and so far, he's proved me right. No that many people know how powerful Perseus is, due to the fact that he is peaceful. Nobody has seen him use his powers, at all. I was knocked out of my thoughts when Perseus spoke up.
"Alright siblings, let's hear what mother has to say, hm," he scolded them like children.
I laughed at Perseus antics while the other primordials scowled at them, but you could see the amusement glints in their eyes.
"Thank you Perseus," I said. "Unfortunately, you guys probably know what is happening." All the primordials looked confused, but Perseus looked down sadly. I guess he knows what is happening.
"What do you talk of, mother?" My daughter, Anake, asks.
"Anake, bring your daughters, It will be better if they explain," I said.
Anake nodded suspiciously and summoned her daughters. In three flashes, the fates appeared, and looked around confused. When their eyes landed on Chaos, they understood immediately. They walked up to Chaos and bowed.
"Lady Chaos," the three said at the same time. "How may we assist you today?"
"I want you to explain the threat we all face as of now," I said.
The Fates nodded. "Long ago, Lady Chaos had two siblings," The fates said. At that, murmurs broke into the crowd. The Fates ignored them and continued. "Lady Chaos's siblings were Lord Order and Lord Void. You know Lord Order since he is Perseus's father, but Lord Void was not none by a lot," The Fates said. "One day, all three children were playing, since they were friends at birth by their father, Lord Helix. They were playing with their powers when Order used a little too much power on Void, and Void passed out. Order and Chaos started to freak out so they used some more powers to try and heal him. In the end, Void was super powerful and could easily crush both Chaos and Order. Void was also mad at Order for using too much power, and he wanted revenge. So, Void used his power on Order, causing him to almost fade, but just stay alive in time for Chaos to bring him back to his health. Both Chaos and Order banished Void from their lives and made Void leave with double teaming him in power. It barely worked, but Void had left. Although, slowly each Decade, power drains from Chaos and Order and enters Void. We don't know where he is, but we've heard he is planning his attack, and we must prepare," the Fates said.
Pontus spoke up next. "So wait, Void's doing all of this because of an accident?"
The Fates nodded. "Yes, Lord Pontus."
Pontus shook his head in disbelief.
"Anyway. Get some sleep, you'll need it for training tomorrow," Chaos said.
"Wait, were getting training. We already know how to fight," Uranus said.
"No, you're not getting training, our army is," Chaos said smirking, then vanishing into a portal. Soon after that, everyone flashed out to get some good nights rest, because everyone knew they would need it.
Line Break - Perseus POV
After Chaos left, I immediately flashed out to go and find her. I know she knew that I was a peaceful god, and that I didn't participate in training at all. I mean, I know how to use my powers, and to be fair, I was really powerful. I just didn't use it because I didn't like hurting people. But if someone messes with someone I like, my peaceful demeanor drops and I become as blood thirsty as a bear. I take my domain of protection seriously, so if someone gets hurt, I can't help but blame myself. I also know that I'm well loved throughout the council for what I do, since I'm allowed to go anywhere at any time. Sometimes when I'm bored and I want to go out and do something, I look at earth. I can't tell you how fascinated I am about the earth. I love it. The only thing that sucks is they way the gods rule. Currently, there are only six gods. The eldest, but that doesn't mean that they will probably fill their seats with immortal children of their own. The gods go like this in power. The one with the most power is Hestia. She was the first born, like me, and she was peaceful so she doesn't use her powers. Like me. Next is Poseidon, god of the seas. After Poseidon is Hades, but if Hades uses the Helm of Darkness, he has a 50 50 chance of defeating Poseidon. They're equal almost, but Poseidon is a little more powerful. Next came Zeus, but only because of his master weapon, he isn't that powerful without it. Demeter and Hera are pretty equal, but that doesn't really matter. Although their rule isn't that good, it was better than the titans.
I teleported over to Chaos's palace on Chaotica, a planet all revolved around my mother. I ended up in the garden she was growing, and I had to say, it was beautiful. It had multiple colored flowers that surrounded a small water fountain in the middle, and along the perimeter of the garden there was cobblestone that held the dirt in place. The aroma that the garden made was divine, and it was so good someone could stay there and take in the scent for hours. "Enjoying my garden," a voice said behind me.
"Yes, very much mother," I said. I turned around and faced my mother.
"I think I know why you're here," she said. "You want to stay out of training."
I nodded. "If I could like, watch over Earth or something, I could do that," I suggested hopefully.
"Of course, son," she said. "You may be the guardian of the Earth, since Gaea has gone back to sleep."
I jumped up and down in joy. I quickly ran up and engulfed my mother in a hug.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" I cheered.
My mom chuckled and hugged me back. She stayed like that for a minute before kissing me on the cheek and disappearing into thin air. I sighed happily as I teleported to my palace.
My palace was next to Eros's and Gaea's, but since she was sent into a slumber by Alex Jackson, who I've heard was a very humble and kind young man, it was empty. My palace's walls were blue and had a dome around it signaling my domain of protection, and it had the laws of Chaotica on a sign right next to my palace for my domain of Law. The palace itself was about two kilometers tall (If you're in the U.S. it's about 1.5 miles). it's huge. It was the biggest due to the fact of me being the oldest, so mom and dad loved to spoil me. Wait, here is something I want to explain. My father, Order, will not be helping us in the war. Reason? He's dead. Well, faded. I know, sad, sad. I was never able to see my father, but I was tough and lived through it. From what I've heard, he was an awesome man, and that made mom fall in love with him. I don't know, sister-brother relationships that end up with a baby, but, never mind. I walk up to my palace and place my hand on the barrier. The barrier senses my hand and it opens up for 10 seconds for me to walk in, then it closes. I then followed the gravel that led to my palace doors, which were about 0.5 Kilometers tall. I kicked some stones, which made me look as if I was bored and sad, but on the inside, I was jumping for joy at my mom letting me watch over earth as the substitution of Gaea.
I was broken out of my thoughts when I arrived at the gates. I again placed my hand on the doors and they opened up, and I walked inside. The inside looked like a mansion, but better. Like, x100 better than the best mansion the Earth has to offer. Yeah, it's good. Since I was the Primordial of Creation, I summoned a chair and sat down. I then held out my hands and imagined an image of earth. I then felt added weight in my hands and opened my eyes. In my hand was a ball that looked like a smaller version of the earth. A globe, I think mortals call it. I looked at the globe for a little bit and picked a random area of the world. I zoomed in on that location and it showed a big island. The island was pretty, but what my vision really was on was the inhabitants. I saw two girls, one looked like the mother, and the other one a child. And one boy, who looked the same age as the other child, looked about 10, but I knew they were definitely older than that by the way they shot their bow. I sighed. Godlings. I tapped on the children, which they wouldn't feel in real life, obviously, and checked out their blood. Zeus and Leto, the girls name was Artemis, and the boys' was Apollo. I then growled in anger as I realized Zeus had broken his oath, which was an Oath. And Oaths were my domain. I wanted to flash down and punch that man in the nose, but I couldn't. I had to abide by my own mother's laws, so I didn't.
I watched as the twins, which I found out by eavesdropping on Leto's conversation, grew up and hunted together. I watch as they exchange jokes, laugh, and have a good time, oblivious to the enemy coming. Granted, they were young and Void wouldn't attack for a long time, but still! And to be honest, I may or may not have developed a small crush on a certain silver eyed hunter, but of course, I had to follow the law of intervening so soon, so I just pushed down my feelings.
I watched the pair for a while, like, almost all their times on the island, which I found out was Delios. Though one day, something was different.
Flashback - Btw, I don't use italics for flashbacks...
I just finished with my dutes of watching the earth, so I checked in on Artemis, Apollo and Leto. I loved watching their lives on the island, which mostly contained hunting and eating. Well for Apollo, making poems, haikus, songs and jokes. When I checked in on them though, I could tell something was wrong. I noticed Artemis and Leto sitting at the dinner table with worried expressions. I wanted to go down there and help them, but, laws. I would only make an exception if something was really wrong, like, deathly wrong. I watched Artemis and Leto sit with the same expressions on for a couple of minutes until Artemis looked at her mother.
"Should I go and find him?" Artemis asked.
Leto sighed. "I don't know."
Artemis nodded and looked down. They stayed like that again for another couple minutes before Leto spoke again.
"Artemis, go," Leto said.
Artemis looked up quickly and gave her mother a quick kiss on the cheek, she then grabbed her bow and arrows and flew out the front door. (She didn't actually fly, I just said that because she went really fast).
I watched Artemis zoom past the trees in search for her dim-witted brother, who she happened to love very much. Deep down, I felt jealous, but I knew it was brother and sister love, nothing else. For minutes, Artemis was led to dead end after dead end. No matter where she turned, it was always a dead end. I then heard a loud scream, and saw Artemis heard the same thing. She then ran in the direction of the sound, and what we saw made our blood run cold.
Artemis POV
Mom and I were getting worried. We were sitting at the dining room table waiting for Apollo but we were getting worried as he had not been here for 10 minutes. I had my head down on the table, hoping my mother would let me go and find my brother, but so far, she had got a stoic face and didn't say a thing. Eventually though, it looked as if she got really worried and told me to go find him, and she didn't have to ask me twice, I was out of the house faster than you could say 'Zeus can't keep it in his pants'. I charged down the forests so fast and reached so many dead ends I couldn't count. Eventually, I heard a loud scream and charged down that way. What I saw made my blood freeze.
Apollo was on the ground covered in his own blood, and Python stood in front of him grinning in triumph. I pulled out my bow and started to shoot at Python, but he just dodged by rolling out of the way. I shot more arrows but all of them were unsuccessful. Python then charged me when I ran out of arrows so I pulled out my knives. Two sharp silver weapons that could slice anyone who was brave enough. I then lunged myself at Python and fought with the anger I held inside of me for hurting my brother. Slashing and dodging was all we were doing, until I accidently left open my left side and he took his chance and bit me in my arm. I felt the poison run through my veins before my world started to fade. The last thing I saw was a bright flash, signaling someone had arrived.
