DISCLAIMER: Yumi is the OC of Sylvie McSpicy Writer (that's not Sylvi's actual name that's just the nickname I gave her lol) and belongs to Sylvi and Sylvi alone. Yumi is of age to drink in this AU and is paired with Hanta Sero.

Kaminari truly didn't drink all that much. But he never passed up an opportunity to go barhopping with his coworkers. He'd have a drink or two but mostly, he wanted to spend time with them.

He sipped from his Amoretto kiss, watching and listening. They all sat in a row at the bar counter, taking up most of the seats.

"I'm sorry you can't come, babe," Jiro said, planting a soft kiss on his lightning bolt. "It's gonna be rockin."

"Nah, not when summer classes are around the corner," he agreed, blushing. "But don't worry about me, just enjoy yourself."

"You'll have a blast," Dabi promised, throwing back another shot of Jameson. "Trust me. All of my best memories are of my days at Warp Tour."

Keigo wiggled his eyebrows. "Oh, I wouldn't say all of your best memories," he muttered seductively, leaning in to kiss the side of his neck.

Dabi flinched, instinctively blocking him with his hand. "You've had too much to drink." His voice was cold.

Keigo frowned, looking hurt. "I've only had one pint," he protested.

"Just not here, okay?" he mumbled, scootching away.

Keigo swallowed, narrowing his brows. "Fine. Be a jerk."

"Was that a kiss I just saw?!" A girl's voice squealed.

Kaminari turned around to see three people approaching. A red-haired guy in a tank top and jeans, a blue-haired woman with vibrant amethyst eyes, and a black-haired man who towered over both of them.

"Hey, guys!" the redhead greeted, fist-bumping Kaminari. "How's it goin'?"

"Pretty good, Kirishima," Kaminari greeted back. "Or should I say… Build-A-Mayor."

Kirishima pinched the bridge of his nose. "Because I'm the store manager of Build-A-Bear?" he asked, exasperated. "Not your best work, man."

"It's better than Fruit Ninja," the tall man pointed out, shaking his head.

"You juice fruits together with a ninja machine!" Kaminari complained. "My nickname was genius!"

"If by genius you mean on the nose," he countered.

Kirishima glanced around the bar, confused. "Hey, where's Bakugo?" he asked. "I thought he was gonna be here."

Tokoyami sipped from his glass of red wine and shuddered as he answered. "Hibachi," he muttered darkly.

Kirishima stared at him oddly, confused.

"I'm surprised you got health nut-Hanta out to a bar, Yumi," Jiro teased.

Yumi took a seat next to Jiro, setting down her purse. "Easy as pie."

The black-haired man grinned and nudged Keigo. "She's gonna let me handcuff her later."

"HANTA SERO!" Yumi shrieked, swatting him with her wallet.

"What? You want the dirt on everybody else but you won't share any yourself? How inconsiderate."

Yumi flushed, crossing her arms. "Our sex life is not dirt, Hanta. And it is not meant to be shared."

Sero leaned in close so Yumi was trapped between him and the bar counter. "Give and take is very important, beautiful. Besides...I thought you love when I reciprocate."

Yumi blushed bright red.

"Jesus Christ," Keigo mumbled, throwing his car keys at Sero's face. "There's condoms in the glove box, go have a ball."

Sero snickered as he caught the keys in one hand. "Nah, it's better if I make her wait. It's so easy to tease her - "

" - You better watch yourself, boy," Yumi warned. "Two can play at that game."

"SERIOUSLY! FUCK. IN. MY CAR!" Keigo yelled, making everyone else in the bar hoot and holler at them.

"Why do you keep condoms?" Kaminari asked, confused. "Aren't you dating Dabi?"

"Oh," Keigo declared nonchalantly, peering over the rim of his glass at Dabi snidely. "Hear that? The kid thinks we're dating. How funny."

Dabi's shoulders tensed. "If you're in a mood why did you ask to go out?"

Keigo kicked the end of Dabi's boot. "I'm not in a mood, you're being a dick to me."

"I've barely said anything," Dabi muttered in monotone, waving his hand towards the bartender for another shot of Jameson.

"That's my point," Keigo snapped. "When we go out you don't move, or do anything."

Dabi stared ahead blankly. "I worked all day. I'm tired. We're sitting down having drinks, what do you want me to do? Get up and dance?"

The ash-blonde pursed his lips. "Fine. Then talk to me."

"What is there to talk about?"

"You could tell me about your day."

Dabi raised an eyebrow at him. "You know everything about my day. You were there."

Keigo pouted. "Then you could ask me how my day was."

"I know how your day went. I've been with you since this morning."

"That doesn't mean you can't ask anyway."

Dabi shrugged, swirling the whiskey in his new shot glass. "Okay. How was your day, Keigo?"

Keigo scrunched his nose. "You're only asking because I asked you to."

"I thought that's what you wanted."

"If you two are going to bicker like this for the entire evening then I'll take my leave. Good day," Tokoyami declared before promptly walking out.

Kaminari's eyes darted between them. "So...you're not dating?" he asked.

Yumi handed Keigo back his car keys. "Uncomfortably thoughtful of you, Keigo, but they'd probably be too big for Hanta anyway."

Dabi smirked. "Why, thank you, Yumi."

Yumi flushed. "I - That's not what I - "

Kaminari flushed. "So...you are dating?"

Hanta bit his lip and winked at her. "Oh? Am I not enough man for you? You didn't have any complaints last night when I had you pinned by your wrists in the kitchen - "

" - YOU KNOW WHAT, IT'S BEEN FUN," Yumi interrupted, firmly grabbing Sero's wrist and pulling him. "But it seems I still can't take my boyfriend out in public. See you guys tomorrow!"

The rest of their group watched, puzzled, as the two left as quickly as they'd arrived.

Jiro sighed, shaking her head. "I knew it. Too good to be true." She motioned to the bartender for another drink.

"By the way, how's your new recruit, Kiri?" Dabi asked.

Kirishima grinned. "Miyu? She's a total natural. And great with the kids that come in. Thanks for sending her my way, Keigo."

Keigo flushed with annoyance. "Why did you ask Kiri about my niece and not me?"

Dabi shrugged. "He's her boss. They work together."

Keigo wasn't shooting Dabi side-eye anymore. Now he full-on glared at his friend with benefits. "Fuck this. I'm going dancing." He slammed down a twenty and marched out the door.

Other than downing another shot and glancing in the direction of the door, Dabi didn't show any reaction to Keigo's outburst.

Jiro scrambled to grab her purse and throw a ten onto the counter. "Crap!"

"What's wrong?" Kirishima asked.

"That asshole is my ride home, that's what's wrong," she mumbled, bolting for the door.

"Hey, wait!" Kirishima called after her. "I can drive you!"

The other bar patrons snickered at the antics of their merry little band like you do for an episode of your favorite sitcom.

"Is he okay?" Kaminari asked, finishing off his amoretto kiss.

Dabi's eyes twitched. He cleared his throat. "Hell if I know." He turned to look at him. "What about you?"

Kaminari pasted on a smile. "Yeah! I'm great."

Dabi stared at him, unblinking.

Dammit. Kaminari looked away, fiddling with his wallet. I can't talk about this. I'm freaking out just thinking about it.

"Kid." Dabi's tone had an edge to it. Like when a parent was trying to get their kid to confess to something they did wrong.

Kaminari fought back the tears rising up. "Seriously. I've had a great week. Jiro asked me to go steady with her - "

" - Look at me."

Kaminari couldn't. But he hastily wiped away a tear that fell with his sleeve.

"You still haven't told him," Dabi deduced.

Wordlessly, Kaminari shook his head.

Dabi shrugged. "You're gonna have to do it sooner or later."

"I can't," Kaminari whispered, his lip starting to quiver. "You guys are my family - "

" - That's not gonna change, kid. I promise." Dabi turned to look at him. His expression was neutral as usual but the kind that implied concern.

"How could things be the same if I'm not working at the mall anymore?" Kaminari asked.

Dabi gave his arm a shove. "Hey. If you can't come to us, we'll come to you. It's not the end of the world. You'll only be a town away. Enough of us know how to drive."

"What about Bakugo?" Kaminari asked. "He's gonna be pissed."

"He'll be upset, and it'll come out as anger. But he'll get over it."

Dabi pulled out his phone, pressing and scrolling his thumb over the screen.

"What are you doing?" Kaminari asked.

"Getting you an uber."

The blonde waved his hands frantically. "No way! Don't do that they're way too expensive!"

Dabi blinked. "Keigo took off with the car and Kiri just left with Jiro. How exactly were you planning on getting home?"

Kaminari froze, flushing sheepishly. "Oh, yeah...I guess that's a good point."

Dabi sighed. "Everyone else bailed. You should too. Get some rest. Don't worry too much, okay?"

Dabi took a screenshot of the Uber driver's info and sent it to Kamianri's phone.

"Thank you," Kaminari said. "But...what are you gonna do?"

Dabi held his hand out for his credit card back from the bartender. "I'm gonna close my tab and track down my fuckbuddy."
