Kaminari sat up as he saw a familiar projectile flash on screen for him. "Dude who threw the blue shell at me!?"
Sero chuckled as he bypassed him. He hadn't been the one to throw the blue shell, but he appreciated whoever did.
Kaminari, Kirishima, Sero, Keigo and Shinso all sat on the couch, playing Mario Kart. Dabi, Shoto and Bakugo sat in the chairs, drinking beer as they watched. Tokoyami sat in the corner, face still in his book.
"Sorry about that dude," Kirishima said as he made his way out of last place.
Pursing his lips Kaminari kept racing, trying to regain 1st place.
The guys had been over for an hour now, and a small part of him wondered what Jiro was doing at that moment.
"What do you think the girls are up to?" he asked, wondering as he overtook Sero in the game.
Bakugo, who'd been holding a beer in one hand while staring at his phone with the other, looked up. "Probably getting their nails done or some shit like that. Who really cares?" In truth he was scrolling through Izuku's snapchat, hoping to see an update as to what the girls were doing.
Keigo smirked. "Focus on the game instead of what your girl is doing."
A red shell hit Kaminari from behind, spinning him out. This allowed Sero and Keigo to pass him.
Kaminari groaned. "Oh, man!"
Sero chuckled. "He did warn you."
Bakugo groaned as he refreshed his Snapchat. No updates from Izuku. He even checked some of the other girls, and none of them posted anything about girl's night. He didn't like this.
"Something wrong, Bakubro?" Kirishima asked, looking back at him. He'd already accepted his last place spot.
Bakugo growled. "Just wondering why the fuck I came."
Shinso rolled his eyes. "Well, aren't you a team player? Can't be bothered to hang out with the guys for one night."
"Shut it, eyebags!"
Dabi smirked. "Now, now. Let's not tease him. After all, we all know what he'd prefer to be doing right now," he said, having a sip of his beer. "Or should I say who?"
Bakugo looked away, his cheeks turning red.
"But to answer your question, we're here to have fun with Denki. He wanted to play games so we're playing games and watching anime."
Kaminari beamed as the round ended. "Thanks, Dabi."
Kirishima sat back in his seat and looked between Dabi and Kaminari. "Is it just me or do you guys feel like Dabi treats Kaminari better than the rest of us?
Keigo smirked. "Speak for yourself," he said with a smug look on his face.
Shinso got up and made his way to the kitchen to grab himself another soda. "No, no. He's got a point. Always getting him food, cleaning up after him, protecting him. Like a brother or something."
Shoto, who sat on the ground beside Kirishima, looked up at Kaminari. "You're very lucky. I wish I had an older brother that looked out for me like that," he said with no emotion in his voice.
Dabi rolled his eyes and lightly bonked him on the head. "Cool your jets, nugget."
Although Shoto was his baby brother, Dabi didn't treat him like it. Perhaps it was the result of their upbringing. Kaminari invited him, but it was clear he wasn't exactly thrilled to be there.
"Did I say something wrong?" Shoto asked, confused about what happened.
Keigo shook his head. "No….not really."
Kaminari sighed as he set up the game for another race. "I hope the girls are having fun."
~.~
The track was noisy as the girls drove their karts past each other, trying to get in the lead. Mina, trying to advance through the space between Momo and Kendo, ended up bumping her kart into Momo.
"Ouch! Watch it, Mina!"
Mina laughed. "Sorry!" she said as Kendo advanced forward, creating more room for Mina's kart.
Kendo smirked as she came up Ururaka's rear. "Out of the way Ochako! I'm coming through."
"You can try!" Uraraka said, trying to cut Kendo off.
Izuku, content with being in the back of the race, hadn't mentally prepared himself for something like this. They'd signed up for a 20 lap race among the group. So far they were on lap 5. Sure this was fun, but it seemed unexpected. After all, they all looked and seemed so sweet, but being in these go-karts seemed to change them in a way.
Yumi zoomed through the karts, dodging and weaving, until she ended up hitting Jiro's kart from behind. The motion of the carts colliding caused Jiro to swerve, but she regained control rather quickly.
"Dude, these aren't bumper cars!"
Yumi giggled. "Too bad, that would make it a lot more fun," she said, ramming into Jiro again before pulling forwards.
The remainder of the laps were like this: each girl trying to pass the other, smack-talking one another as they did. Of course, there was Yumi taking the opportunity to treat this like bumper carts when she got the chance. On the final lap, a checkered flag was extended out, ready for the winner. The girls all accelerated and tried getting the lead. In the end, Mina beat out Kendo by a few centimeters.
"Yes! I win!" Mina cheered as she got out of her kart, dancing around and celebrating.
One by one the girls all passed the checkered flag, until Izuku was the last one. Passing the line, he tried swerving so he didn't hit anyone. This caused him to spin out until he collided with another cart.
Jiro ran over to him, helping him out of the cart. "Are you okay Izuku? Anything broken?" She knew full well if they didn't return Izuku in the same condition they'd got him in, Bakugo would be furious.
The world spun for Izuku. He held onto Jiro's shoulder as he tried regaining balance. "Yea...I think so. Everything is just spinning."
"Good thing we didn't eat before this," Yumi said as she checked the time on her cellphone. They still had time before their reservations.
Jiro helped Izuku off the track and sat him down in a chair. He closed his eyes and allowed the spinning sensation he felt to stop. Once it passed, he opened his eyes and looked at the group.
"So..um...what are we doing now?" he asked. He had no idea what to expect anymore.
Mina smiled, placing her hands behind her head. "There's a small bar nearby. We're just going to go for a round of drinks and throw some darts before our reservation time at Cheesecake Factory," she said with a big toothy smile.
Izuku smiled. "That doesn't sound too bad."
He got to his feet and all the girls made their way to the exit. Jiro stayed back and grabbed ahold of Mina's arm, pulling her back as well.
"Darts?" she asked, with an eyebrow raised.
Mina just shrugged. "More or less."

Bakugo watched, confused and fascinated as Dabi poked Kaminari's back with his foot. He sat crossed legged in front of the television, unmoving.
"Alright, Kid, you're done."
"No," Kaminari mumbled, nodding off as he watched the last twenty minutes of Promare.
"I'm cutting you off."
"No."
"It's time for bed."
"No."
"Kyoka's not home yet. I gotta...stay up for her," he said tiredly.
" - I'll text her," Dabi assured.
"I don't wanna sleep without her," he whined.
"She'll be home soon."
Bakugo glared. "Why can't you sleep without - "
" - You must not hang around them very much," Kirishima said, laughing. "They're like...always cuddling."
Bakugo snarled quietly under his breath. The idiot makes it look so damn easy. Izuku always let him cuddle after they'd been intimate, but he didn't know how to get cuddles in any other context. It was torture when Izuku sat all cute and cuddled up on the couch watching tv or reading one of his comic books. He looked so soft and warm and -
How the fuck does Kaminari get them whenever he wants?
"You good?" Sero asked, raising an eyebrow.
"What, do you not like to cuddle?" Keigo asked.
Bakugo flushed. "If it's Izuku, then yeah. But - "
" - Then what's the problem?" Dabi asked.
Bakugo growled. "I don't know how to make him give them to me."
"What? Cuddles?" Kaminari asked. "It's easy."
He crossed his arms, resting his feet on the coffee table. "Yeah? How do you get them?"
Without saying a word, Kaminari stretched out his arms in front of him and made "gimme" motions with his hands, like a toddler. "I do this."
Tokoyami sighed as he poured himself another glass of merlot. "If I were you, I'd seek advice from someone who hasn't been completely domesticated into submission."
Dabi shook his head as he got up off the couch. "I got your cuddles for you," he said in a monotone, scooping up the stubborn blonde from the floor and throwing him over his shoulder. "Time for bed."
"No," he protested half-heartedly. But his words didn't hold much conviction. He was already wrapped in a soft blanket and had his eyes closed.
Shoto watched the display, expressionless as usual. But he gave off an aura of irritation.
Kirishima shrugged. "I say I'm cold. Works every time."
Bakugo bristled. But I'm never cold, I just want to be close to him.
Sero grinned. "I pick up Yumi and put her in my lap. If she doesn't cuddle me right away I just tickle her until she does."
Bakugo's eye twitched. He wasn't exactly big into tickling. "None of this is helping."
Tokoyami sat at Kaminari's kitchen island, sipping his wine. "Why don't you ask the most experienced of us in this matter?"
Keigo stared blankly. "And who would that be?"
"I think he means us," Dabi said after sitting back down.
Keigo blushed pink. "Why are we the most experienced?"
Shinsou yawned, leaning back against his spot on the sofa. "I dunno. Weren't you guys love-at-first-fuck or something?"
Dabi gave his shoulder a shove, smirking. "If he and I are your best example, you guys are screwed."
"You've also been together the longest," Sero pointed out.
"To be fair we didn't know we were together for the majority of our relationship," Dabi countered.
Keigo got quiet, averting his gaze and sinking deeper into the couch.
Dabi took notice, leaning forward. "Keigo?"
"I wish I could help," he stated softly, "But I'm still tryna figure that out."
"What do you mean?"
Keigo shrugged. "I don't really know how to get cuddles, either."
Dabi flushed, scooching closer. "What are you talking about? You can have them whenever you want, you just need to ask."
"But you won't do it at work," Keigo pointed out.
"We can't at work."
"We do other stuff we're not supposed to do when we're at work."
"Cuddling is different."
"No, it's not."
"Baby - "
"NONE OF THIS IS HELPING!" Bakugo exclaimed.
Tokoyami sighed deeply, immediately reading the room. "I take back my suggestion. Hitoshi, I don't understand how you deal with those two every day."
The lavender-haired teen smiled. "I quite enjoy myself, actually. It's very entertaining."
"You are truly a man amongst beasts," Tokoyami mumbled while tapping on his phone. "My carriage of darkness is arriving in three minutes. Would you care to partake?"
"Sure," Shinsou said, getting up and stretching. "All aboard the carriage of darkness."
"Who the hell is Hitoshi?" Bakugo asked.
"Me," Shinsou answered. "That's my first name."
"How did you know his - "
" - We run into each other on occasion," Tokoyami explained as he rinsed his wine glass in the sink. "Particularly at poetry slams. His work is quite...introspective."
Shinsou shrugged. "I've been listening to clair de lune on loop."
"Aah, that explains it." Tokoyami dried off his hands. "Debussey tends to have that effect. Anyone else?"
"Sure, I'll hitch a ride," Sero said. "I'm just gonna hit the bathroom."
Kirishima stood up from the armchair and grabbed his empty cans of Guinness to throw out. "If Kami's hitting the sack I'll call it a night too."
Everyone filed out of the apartment except for Keigo, Dabi, and Shoto.
"You're not coming?" Kirishima asked.
Dabi checked his watch. "It's only midnight. Jiro won't be home for another two hours."
"So?" Shoto asked.
Dabi shot him a warning glare and clapped Kiri on the shoulder. "Catch you later."
"Yeah! You too, man. Later, Keigo!"
"Laters," he muttered from the couch, laying across it now that everyone got up.
Dabi locked the door behind them, then began tidying the apartment. Stacking the empty pizza boxes to be thrown out, washing out glasses, gathering all the paper plates and empty cans from the living room, and loading up all the trash to be dumped.
He ignored the glares Shoto shot him over his shoulder.
~.~
These girls are nuts, Izuku thought to himself as he sipped his strawberry daiquiri.
Sure they had stopped by the bar, like Mina said, but she'd lied when she had said they'd be throwing darts. No. Instead of something harmless like a dart, the girls had opted to go axe throwing instead. Most of them were in heels and skirts, but yet here they were.
They took up two tables and each were taking turns with one target.
He watched Yumi do a spin before throwing the large axe at the target on the wall. It landed close to the bullseyes. The girls cheered as she tossed another axe.
"So….why axes?" he asked Mina.
Mina smirked, stirring her drink in hand. "Because no one would ever believe that we came."
Izuku tilted his head, confused. "What do you mean?"
"Let me ask you this," she said, setting her glass down. "If I had told you we were coming to throw axes, would you have believed me?"
He thought about it. Honestly, he might not have. Earlier in the night, his expectations had been low for the evening. Perhaps it was like that with all the other guys.
"We use this time to push our boundaries and do the things that no one expects us to do. The guys are probably assuming we're at my apartment making cookies. Sure they know we can be tough sometimes, but that doesn't equate to doing activities like this."
He could understand that. He was petite in appearance so he was sure others, including Bakugo, assumed the same things about him.
Jiro came over to the table, holding an axe. "Want to give it a try?" she asked him, holding out the handle.
Izuku looked at the axe before taking it. Getting up he walked over to the throwing line.
"Come on Izuku!" the girls cheered behind him.
He steadied himself and took a deep breath. Remembering how the girls threw the axe, he raised his arm and tossed it with great force. He watched in silence as the axe flew and hit the wall, just to the right of the target.
"It's okay, you'll get it next time!" Jiro said from the table as he could hear Mina snickering. Ochako nudged her in the side to get her to stop as he returned to the table.
"You guys make it look easy," he admitted, reaching for his drink.
"That's all the practice," Kendo said, getting up for her turn.
