AN: Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure, from Terence's point of view. Begins just after the opening sequence. Terence has just finished work and is on his way to 'run some errands and stuff'. He bumps into a shelf and knocks over its items after Fairy Gary tells him to say hi to Tinkerbell for them. Aaaaand now we begin! :)
"The changing of the seasons brings wonder to the world
For ages, has the magic of the fairies been unfurled
But nature's greatest changes come beneath the autumn sky
And mysteries reveal themselves as harvest time draws nigh
This year, a shimmering blue moon will rise before the frost
Perhaps its rays can light the way to find
What has been lost."
Terrence and the Lost Treasure
"Alright, you got me. I'm gonna help Tink again."
Terence ignored his friends' sniggers, plucking the fallen basket from his head and setting it aside. Bolt and Stone could tidy up the rest of the fallen articles. That'd wipe the smug look off their faces. The two of them were leaning over the depot counter, nudging each other and trading identical grins.
Fairy Gary was pretending not to notice. He stroked at his moustache as he busied himself with his checklist. "Hmm," he grunted, flipping over a page for good measure. "Hmm, hmm."
Terence could swear he was hiding a grin of his own.
Oh well. What did it matter? It was nothing but some light-hearted ribbing, albeit at his expense.
He tugged at the stretchy thingy that had wound itself around his neck and –
Stretchy thingy. Hmm.
Fairy Gary had been so impressed by the bucket-and-pulley system Tink had invented – the fairies down at the belts were sending up pouches of pixie dust by the bucketfuls – that he'd entrusted her with devising a way to make the depot's river delivery system faster and more efficient. She'd been working non-stop on the project for the past few weeks. Once you got Tink tinkering, there was nothing that could pry her away from what she loved doing best. Except, perhaps, the lack of parts. Over the last couple of days, Terence had watched her test out various sorts of stretchy thingies for the "Pixie Dust Express"' motor, to no avail. Perhaps this would do the trick.
He pulled it lengthwise, examining just how stretchy the thingy could be. The elastic stretched between his hands and sprang back into shape. Perfect.
"Is it okay if I take this?" he asked, excitement building.
Fairy Gary looked up from his checklist, a knowing glint in his smile. "Sure."
"Thanks." Terence slipped the item into his satchel, making sure it wouldn't fall out during his journey.
Autumn had Pixie Hollow bustling with so much activity, there was no telling who or what he might bump into. One of Clank and Bobble's experiments gone awry, perhaps. Or, worse, a fast-flying talent fairy back from the Mainland.
He waved his friends goodbye, almost knocking over Zuzu in his haste to get out of the door. He'd have to apologise to her tomorrow.
Tink was going to love his surprise.
