Chapter One Beginnings Part 1

Somewhere in space, outside the thermosphere but still within the Earth's gravitational field, a small ship was going fast.

A tall big black man wearing what looks like white space armor was driving the ship, looking proud of himself for navigating with blasting thrusters. "And that's why they call me Captain Kaboom!"

A message beeped, one of the hologram screens activated saying "Earth to Sky Team One" and a man with brownish gold eyes and slightly long messy black hair, wearing a suit of black space armor along with what looked like a red headband with the kanji for "big haul" appeared on the screen. "Kat, any sign of the ultra-link yet?"

Kat was a skinny tall Caucasian woman with blond hair and blue eyes, wearing green and black space armor suit. "No visual yet commander."

"Spoke too soon. Ultra-link coming up on scopes now." A Mexican 21-year-old male with black hair and brown eyes in the same armor as the other two suddenly called out. His eyes were locked on a hologram screen that displayed something like ship coordinates. "Time to target, T minus 30."

"Great, nice and easy people." The commander said while the two pilots rolled their eyes. "Remember, we want to capture the blasted thing, not activate it."

Suddenly three black ships just appeared, as if they had cloaking devices turned off, then rushed toward Sky Team One, who in turn were heading for a weird-looking orb.

"We got three unidentified craft on our tail." The black man stated.

That was when the three ships started to shoot at Sky Team One.

"Make that unidentified hostile craft." The Mexican teen corrected.

As the three hostile ships pressed their assault the black man used all his skills to dodge. "These guys are packing serious firepower."

"Do not lose the target, Jefferson." The commander commanded.

"I'm a little busy right now old man." The black man, Jefferson, replied just before he pressed something as he was dodging the lasers from the other ships. His ship fired back, but the enemy managed to hit first. "Damn, engines 2 and 4 are gone!" Keeping his cool, Jefferson pressed another button, which activated what looked like a tractor beam attached to a claw that went forward and scooped the orb. "Booyah! The cake is in the oven!"

"And our friends here still want a slice." The Mexican teen added, pointing at the three ships on the monitor. Out the window, one could see they had attached grapple claws onto Sky Team One's hull.

"Not on my watch."

The ship tried boosting with its remaining thrusters and engines, which if nothing else broke off two of the grappling claws. The third one kept hold and so the third hostile ship managed to follow Sky Team One's ship, at least until Jefferson fired a missile and destroyed the ship before it could release and dodge.

"Sky Team One to base, we are coming in hot." Jefferson announced as the ship heading back to Earth, a little too fast at the moment.

Kat then activated what looked like an external extinguisher which sprayed at one of the burning engines while Jefferson struggled to avoid an inevitable crash. With luck and effort, the ship did succeed in landing safely by their base.

"Mission accomplished. Ultra-link is ready for unload." Jefferson said, grinning.

A door at the base opened and three people in similar armor came out, pushing a cart. A compartment on the ship opened and a robotic arm pulled out the thing called an ultra-link then placed it on the tray.

"I wonder why this one isn't locked up." One of the scientists curiously asked as they were putting the ultra-link away for storage.

"This one probably hasn't been functional for years, just a relic from the past." Another scientist suggests, pointing towards a similar ultra-link orb that was contained in what looks like a cage with hexagonal laser bars. Nothing more was said and everyone left, not noticing the orb briefly glow.

The school day ended and students departed from Sainan Metropolitan High School like they always did. One, however, hung around a bit longer. He was a normal teenage boy, light brownish spiky hair with golden brown eyes, wearing the standard school uniform, and he was hiding behind a corner looking at a girl who had blue hair and purple eyes with a vertical hair clip in her hair.

'Haruna always look so cute every time I look at her. Her sweet expression, her silky blue hair, and her gentle manner...' The boy thought to himself, then sighed, both with a sense of lovestruck and disappointment for not being able to act on said lovestruck.

"Yo Rito! Are you stalking her again in the middle of the day!?" Another teen boy asked, coming up to the first one from behind. This newcomer had spiked hair too, though his was black, same as his eyes.

Rito all of a sudden slammed the newcomer into the wall hard, his eye color shifting towards a cold light blue.

"Rito it's just a joke, I'm sorry."

Rito didn't look happy, but he put the boy down from the wall, his eyes turning back to a golden brown. "Whatever pervert." Not wanting this to continue or escalate, Rito walked away to leave the school with everyone else, sparing one last glance towards Haruna. 'I have to do it. I will confess to her tomorrow! We're in high school, finally in the same class for the first time in years. I need to stop procrastinating over this.'

Tomorrow came, and as usual, the day went with little to no hassle.

Class ended and Haruna was minding her own business, unknowingly heading towards Rito, who was getting ready to confess. But when she got close enough that she should have been able to see him...

Rito had chickened out and hid in the bushes, seeing her pass unaware he was ever there.

'DAMMIT! I'M AN IDIOT!'

"I'm home!" Rito announced as he entered his house, trying not to give off an aura of self-pity.

"Welcome home Rito, Dad's going to be home late and Mom's at her new job." A girl with gold brown eyes and brown hair told him, seated on the couch reading a manga and snacking on some pocky.

"Whatever Mikan…" Rito said sadly as he went upstairs to his room. Once instead he threw his bag aside and plopped down on his bed, depressed and angry at himself. 'I can't believe I'm such a coward. Every day I tell myself I'll do it for sure next time, and I always wuss out. Would it be easier to just do it in a text?'

Taking another brief moment of courage, Rito went to his parent's room to use the phone, since he lacked a cell of his own. He picked it up and tried to dial, but once he touched the first button his eyes turned blue again and suddenly the phone practically exploded in his hand. 'Again? Can't they make a phone that doesn't blow up yet?'

Inside an office building called Trans-Human Industries, a tall and thin man with orange eyes and black hair, some black lines on his face, wearing a black suit with a red tie and black shoes, had just finished showing a commercial to his business collaborates.

"So, what do you think?" He asked.

"Brilliant, and your hair is impeccable Mr. Naught." One of the collaborates praised.

"Though I'm not sure about that close up at the end. That might have been a little creepy." Another collaborate added.

Mr. Naught frowned a bit at this. "Noted. Now, order a blanket media buy for Trans-Human Industries and-" Before he could continue, a computer in the room began flashing, showing a diamond symbol as it did. "Alright, raincheck on that. I have priority business to get to for now."

After the collaborates left Naught pressed a button under his desk. His chair with him in it descended down a shaft to a hidden room, which contained a screen showing a tall man with almost albino white skin, straight brown hair, and red eyes, wearing sharp-looking black armor with a few blotches of red all over it. In the center of his chest was a diamond emblem, and the bottom portion of his face was covered by what looked like a breather mask.

"Any news Mr. Naught?"

"Good news sir, sales have gone up…"

"WHAT OF THE ULTRA-LINK?!" The masked man asked, impatiently.

"I am afraid the news on that is not as... rosy." Naught confessed, adjusting his collar nervously. "Our forces were driven off by... we suspect it was the work of N-Tek."

The masked man frowned. "N-TEK!?" He looked like he wanted to punch something, but he was stopped by a sudden coughing fit, one that sounded like the cough of a dying man. "If we do not find a suitable energy source to keep me alive, all that I've done, planned, schemed, stolen, will be for nothing! I MUST HAVE TURBO ENERGY!"

"We will redouble our efforts, sir." Naught assured.

"Do not fail me, because if you do, when this clock reaches 0…" On the screen, a clock appeared at the bottom showing 18:45:76 which quickly went to 18:45:75 then 18:45:74 and so on. "It won't just signal my end, Mr. Naught."

The screen went blank with the countdown remaining. All Naught could do right then was gulp.

Three people were standing atop a building in Sainan, silhouetted by the moonlight. Two of them looked like they belonged in the Men in Black, and the third looked like a teenage girl with long hair.

"We finally found you. I must admit I never thought that you would run this far away from home. But this is the end of your game. Time for you to come with us please." One of the suited men stated.

The girl was merely silent, but she showed no fear at all.

Rito sighed, trying to relax in the bathtub. 'When I was younger, my life used to be only about having fun. Like playing games, soccer, practicing martial arts, watching anime. Now all I want is to be with Haruna, and I can barely be near her.' In his mind, various images of Haruna flashed, one when they both were younger, another as she was now, and to his surprise one of her posing in lingerie. The shock caused him to blush hard with a nose bleed coming out. 'NO! NO! I AM NOT A PERV LIKE THAT FUCKER SARUYAMA OR THE PRINCIPAL! How he kept his job I will never know.'

The water started to bubble as if something was underneath, which Rito of course noticed. "Huh?"

Before he knew it, the water exploded like a geyser. "WHAT THE HELL?!" Rito yelled, shielding himself with his arms. The blast ended almost as soon as it started though he couldn't see anything right away thanks to water in his eyes and extra vapor in the air, but he h could feel something new. Something soft.

He wiped his eyes with one hand, then to his shock he saw a naked pink-haired girl standing in front of him, water up to her knees and his other hand right on her breast. And of course, she was looking right at him, her expression oddly happy yet confused.

He naturally let go and hid his eyes. 'Just keep your mouth shut. There is no way you can make this better by talking.' He told himself.

The girl meanwhile tried to wipe some water off herself, briefly paying no mind to the boy. "Good, a successful escape." Looking around the room, her eyes inevitably came back to the boy she felt grope her. "Yes?"

This seemed to snap Rito back into reality, so he jumped out of the tub trying to look away without showing off anything embarrassing. "WHO ARE YOU?!"

Hearing him shout, Mikan quickly barged in. "WHAT'S WRONG RITO!?"

"What do you think is wrong? There's a naked girl in the tub right now!"

Mikan blinked then looked where the tub was, only to see it devoid of anything except water. She glanced back at her brother, which was a bad idea seeing how he was still naked, making her get embarrassed and quickly close the door. "Please keep your dirty fantasies to yourself and don't soak the floor next time!"

Rito quickly covered up, embarrassed but more confused than anything. 'Where did she go? And why was she here in the first place?'

Not wanting to risk the girl returning, Rito dried off and got dressed in a black shirt and blue pants before heading to his room. 'I know what I saw, and felt... no, don't think about that. Just focus, if there really is an intruder here you should be on high alert in case of an attack and…' He opened the door to his room, only to see the pink-haired girl from before seated on his bed wrapped up in a towel. Caught off guard Rito almost slipped and fell, but steadied himself against the door frame, and covered his eyes on reflex.

"Alright, who are you?" He asked, not so loud that his sister would think he's just causing trouble again.

The girl politely smiled. "I am Lala Deviluke."

"Lala Deviluke?" Rito repeated.

She nodded. "Yes, I come from the planet Deviluke."

"So... you're an alien? Like the Urusians that came here about a month ago?"

Lala blinked. "You know of our allies the Urusians?"

"Sort of, but you're not from Earth?"

"Nope, I've never been here before. Not even to this part of the galaxy. You don't believe me?"

"Well, the Urusians have horns, so I know they're aliens." Rito commented, still covering his eyes.

Lala huffed and rolled her eyes. "You need proof? Fine, then have a look at this!"

Rito then peeked a bit, wondering what she had to show, only to see her bare butt exposed, along with a long black tail ending with a spaded tip. "A... tail...?"

She nodded and moved it around a little. "Yep, but don't think this means I transform when I see a full moon or anything."

Rito then remembered that her butt was visible too, and blushed hard. "OK, CAN YOU PLEASE PUT CLOTHES ON NOW!?"

Lala turned back around. "You look really cute when you blush."

"If you really are an alien, then what were you doing in my bathtub?"

"That was thanks to my teleporter. I call it 'Pyon-Pyon Warp-Kun'!" Lala then pointed to a gray bracelet with an odd-looking emblem on it, one that resembled a red-eyed and long-eared creature. "With it, I and anyone touching me can disappear and reappear in another nearby place, but the destination is random so I had no way to control appearing in your tub. Unfortunately, it left my clothes behind, and needs a Devilukean day to recharge."

Rito couldn't help but sigh a bit. "Great, a naked alien is in my room thanks to glitchy sci-fi tech. What next, some more glitchy tech that turns me into an alien?"

In another part of Tokyo, an older teenage boy sneezed and accidentally pressed the wrong button on his special watch.

"So why are you here?" Rito asked.

Lala was quiet for a bit. "Long story short, I'm being chased. I thought if I left the Devilukean Solar Kingdom and came here to Earth no one would find me. You see, Earth is about as far away from Deviluke as you can get, well, except for Neptune but I prefer staying warm. Not to mention this planet has a tech level of 2 to 3 from what I heard, so no one looking for me would think to look here first." She paused to fume and cross her arms. "Unfortunately, despite all that my pursuers still found me. I would have been taken away if I hadn't used the warp. I probably would have…"

Rito was quiet at that, seeing she didn't want to continue. "Ok you can stay here, but you have to get clothes since you are naked."

Lala smiled. "That will be no problem any second now."

Before the boy could ask for clarification, the window burst open without breaking and to his surprise in flew a small white robot the size of a teddy bear. It had a round head with two spirals for eyes and no other visible facial features. It looked like it was wearing a white jacket with yellow edges, a blue shirt and red tie underneath, and black bat wings poking out the back. "Princess Lala! Are you alright?" It asked right away, hugging the pink-haired girl.

"Peke! You managed to escape too!" Lala replied, hugging back.

"I got lucky." Peke said, then noticed Rito. "Who is the earthling?"

"He's the one who lives here. Oh! I forgot to ask you your name."

Rito cleared his throat. "Rito Yuuki."

Lala nodded respectfully. "This is Peke, she is an 'All-Purpose Costume Robot' I made."

"Hello." Peke greeted, more out of politeness than friendliness.

'Costume robot? What's that?' Rito asked himself, then to his surprise Lala took off her towel. He of course immediately covered his eyes.

Lala ignored him and looked to Peke. "You know what to do."

"Ok, CHANGE! DRESSFORM!"

Peke glowed almost too brightly to look at, while Lala dropped her towel and spread her arms out. Then Peke seemed to fire out three tendrils that spiraled around the pinkette before latching on, making her gasp a moment at the tightness. Though to Rito it looked more like she was on the verge of orgasming. The tendrils glowed again, covering everything except her head, then it faded abruptly, and her body was covered by actual clothes. The dominant color was white, though there was some purple by the shoulders, hips, collar, stomach, and shoes. Her sleeves reached her hands which were covered by gloves, her legs were covered with what looked like nylons, and on both sides of her hips were decorative frills making it look like she was wearing a skirt. There was a short red necktie and atop her head appeared what looked like Peke's head.

"It's not on too tight is it Princess Lala?" Peke was heard asking.

Lala did some moving around in her outfit, revealing that the parts around her breasts and butt were incredibly form-fitting. "It's perfect Peke, doesn't it look nice Rito?"

Rito allowed himself to look, glad she was decent now. "Um... it's better than being naked that's for sure." To himself, he added. 'But it looks like something I'd expect to see at an anime convention.'

Without warning, two men in black suits barged through the window and apprehended Lala, pushing her to the ground.

"What the hell?" Rito asked, jumping back out of shock. One of the first things he noticed was that these men also had tails like Lala. 'Are these her pursuers?'

"Let me go!" Lala shouted, struggling to get free, but she was no match for them.

"You've been a very troublesome girl so far. But it ends here." One of the men said. This one had a goatee, blonde hair, and tanned skin with a notable scar on the left side of his face.

"You're coming with us back to Deviluke even if we have to freeze you." The other one added. He looked like a stereotypical security guard in almost every way, down to the military grade haircut.

Lala's efforts to resist slowed. "…Peke…" She hissed.

"Y-yes?"

"Didn't I tell you to make sure you weren't followed?"

"…Yes."

"YOU IDIOT! NOW EVERYTHING WENT DOWN THE DRAIN!"

"I'm sorry!"

The blonde then grabs Lala's hands and moved to bind them together. "You are coming with us, let's go!"

Lala resumed struggling. "NO! LET ME GO!"

Watching this, Rito was unsure of what to do. He knew he had little chance against two grown men twice his size and equipped with who-knows-what, but he snapped himself out of his stupor and reacted solely on subconscious thought right then. This led to him punching the blonde guy in the gut, forcing him to let go of Lala and allow her a brief chance to squirm free from the other guy. She did so, but the security guard type grabbed her arm, so she, in turn, bit him to force him to release her. Once she was free, Rito grabbed her other hand and tugged, pulling her out the window. This time Lala did not resist.

"What are you doing?" She asked as he led her to the roof. Building up speed he leaped to the next one, with her managing to keep up.

Rito kept his eyes forward. "What was I supposed to do? Let a girl get kidnapped right before my eyes? I don't know what you're running away from, but if those two don't have a problem with taking you hostage then there's no way I'm just going to stand by and let them take you away." As he spoke his eyes started to turn blue again. Lala did not notice, but she looked at him with awe.

At that moment, Haruna was out walking her dog minding her own business, but the noise of rushing footsteps caught her attention. But these were coming from above rather than behind, she looked up, seeing and recognizing Rito running on the roofs. "Yuuki?"

As one would expect, eventually Rito ran out of roofs. Rather than head a different direction, he jumped down to the road and into a park, finally allowing himself to pause and catch his breath.

"Rito, I-" Lala started, but she was cut off by a truck being thrown their way, breaking through several trees and missing them. Both teens jumped and back off, then looked behind themselves, seeing the black-haired security guard type walking towards them.

"Just one thing after another isn't it?" Rito commented, taking his classic martial arts stance protectively in front of the pink-haired girl. As he did, a strange blue energy that matched his eyes began to spread over him.

Lala gasped. 'This... this can't be. This looks like Turbo energy, but only the Tachyon could produce that energy and they're all dead.'

Another truck was dropped from above behind them, clearly an attempt to block the two in place. The blonde man from before stepped into view. "Human, we seek no conflict with you, so please do not interfere." He stated.

Rito cracked his knuckles. "I already have."

The black-haired man cracked his own knuckles and came at the glowing boy, wanting to end this quickly. Rito waited until he got closer so he could dodge and tried to slug the clearly stronger man in the face, hoping to at least get some significant damage in. This did more than expected, it sent the man crashing into one of the trucks hard enough to leave an impressive dent in the side.

The blonde man whistled a bit, then tried to attack as well. Rito dodged his attack but when he tried to retaliate the blonde man threw in another, attacking quickly enough to force the earthling to remain on the defensive.

"Hold on Rito, maybe I have something that can help." Lala tried to assure him, finding a bag stored away in one of Peke's dimensional-distortion pockets and looking through it.

The black-haired man pulled himself out of the truck and brushed himself off. Looking angry, he charged at Rito from behind, which made the blonde man smile. Seeing the smile, Rito easily concluded that something was coming at him from behind, and ducked then rolled away towards Lala, resulting in the two men crashing into each other.

"Welcome to Earth." Rito said.

The two men got up and looked at him, they said nothing but their expressions showed that they were not done here. They at least left, taking to the roofs again, and Rito sighed in relief.

"Rito that was incredible! How could you do such amazing things?" Lala asked, amazed and awestruck by his display of power. And not that she would admit it, she was a little turned on too.

"Thanks, though I wouldn't say I'm... wait, what the heck?" Rito replied, only now actually noticing the blue energy emitting from his body. "What is happening to me?!" At the end of his question the energy appeared to brighten, then it exploded like a bomb, flattening and throwing away everything close to him including Lala. She screamed but Peke shielded her from the worst of it and she crashed into some downed trees, meaning she didn't go too far from him. Once the blast subsided Rito himself collapsed and passed out, just like her.

"Sir we are recording a massive surge of Turbo energy!" A brunette man sitting at a desk proclaimed while his monitor beeped erratically.

Naught made a skeptical scoff. "There is no Turbo energy on this planet, except for the boss and he is almost toast."

"Largest surge ever recorded and it's in this very city!"

Naught then bothered to get a closer look at the screen. While skeptical, he knew this was something he couldn't just ignore. "Well don't just stand there jabbering. Sound the alarms, release the hounds, do whatever it is you do but bring me that source!"
