Atop a flat hill darkened by the night sky, Ike and Soren sat on the wet grass, gazing at the stars and the moon.
It had rained that day, yet Soren seemed slightly more cheerful than usual, that is, if Soren could achieve a cheerful state.
As the moon reflected Soren's eyes, the dampness from the grass began to soak through his robes.
Ike felt Soren's fragile hand shiver underneath his own, he glanced at the sage to his right.
Watching Soren's pale form succumb to the frigid night reminded Ike of when he had fallen in love with the boy.
It had been roughly a year ago, on a cold night similar to this one.
Ike was unable to sleep, due to the excitement of the war, and was taking a stroll near the camp.
In an opening surrounded by trees, Ike spotted Soren's white face staring at the moon.
He curiously walked towards his friend, "Soren, is that you? How come you're out here so late?"
Soren looked up at Ike's face, eyes red and swollen, "I like the moon."
"Have you been crying? Are you all right?" Ike asked with a concerned face.
"I...don't want to talk. Just be here with me, Ike," Soren whispered. Ike nodded and sat down close to his comrade.

Ike noticed Soren had resumed his crying when dull tears trailed down his dreary face.
Even though Soren was crying, and his body was shaking, his eyes stayed the same.
Even during this weak moment, when Soren seemed to vulnerable, his guard down, his eyes remained sharp.
When Ike put a hesitant hand on Soren's shoulder, the boy recoiled and sent his eyes to Ike's.
The molten eyes did not pierce Ike's soul, they did not look into his heart.
They slammed into Ike with a blunt force, causing his heart to quake.
The rest of Soren looked so pitiful, but his eyes were hard like rubies, and they did not falter.
And Ike fell in love.
Hrm...I'm addicted to these. This is what, the 5th one? Oh well, I like. Do you guys think I should make them all a collection of one shots from now on, or keep them separate stories? Because I think I'll be making plenty more. Omg, Three Minutes was added to a C2! 'Best of the Best' or something. I'm so flattered! Also, the guy I like has a girlfriend, but I can tell he likes me. Its rather obvious. What should I do? Take him, leave him, wait for him? Please answer by questions in your reviews. I need help!!
