Sam groaned in pain as he sat up. His face felt like it'd been beaten with a sledge hammer and his body felt like it'd been trampled on by god knows how many horses.

He winced against the sun light streaming through the shades of the room. He glanced around, everyone was still asleep. He looked to the clock on the wall and sighed. He'd only been asleep for three and half hours. It was 5 am.

Sam quietly made his way out of the room to use the bathroom. He just reached the door when it swung open and the most gorgeous girl he'd ever seen stood before him.

His mouth went dry and his palms began to sweat instantly. He didn't see this girl last night and wondered why he hadn't.

"Hey." The girl said with a soft smile.

"Uh-H-Hey. Sorry! I didn't know anyone was in here."

"It's okay. I just finished. It's all yours."

"Cool. Uh-I'm Sam by the way." Sam said as he held out his hand for her to shake.

"Mercedes." She replied with a breath taking smile. They shook hands and then continued to thanks to Sam. "Um.. Sam?"

"Yes?"

"You can let go now."

"Oh! Right, sorry!" Sam choked out as he released her hand as if he were burned.

Mercedes giggled. "You know when you're done up here you should come down to the kitchen. I have some Arnica if you'd like?"

"Thank you. That'd be awesome."

"Okay. Come find me when you're done." Mercedes said as she walked passed him, her perfume hitting his nostrils and making him shiver. He watched her walk away and felt excitement fill his chest.

15 minutes later after coaching himself to be cool Sam made it down stairs and entered the kitchen to find Mercedes and another guy. He was obviously attractive and Sam filled with disappointment that the guy is Mercedes boyfriend.

"Good morning." The guy said with a charming smile as he flipped a pancake.

"Good morning." Sam said awkwardly.

The guy turned around and approached as he wiped his hands on the dish towel before holding it out to Sam.

"I'm Blaine and you are?"

"Sam."

"Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too."

"Sam come sit. Let's get this Arnica on you to help with the bruises." Mercedes spoke up.

Sam ducked his head slightly feeling embarrassed as he walked over and took a seat. The next thing he knew his nose was invaded with a scent he never wanted to stop smelling.

It was sweet and floral with a hint of Mercedes natural scent. He felt like he just died and gone to heaven as her finger tips gently applied the Arnica to his face.

"Good morning all. I smell something delicious." A voice piped up as it entered the kitchen.

It was David.

"Breakfast is still coming but I've finished prepping the fruit. You're welcome to it." Blaine said.

"Thanks bro." David said as he sat.

"Morning sis."

"Morning D."

"Wait you guys are siblings?" Sam asked without thinking and all three halted in their movements as all their eyes fell on him.

"You got a problem with that white boy?" Mercedes asked with attitude.

"No! Of course not I didn't mean-I-you-aw man."

All three of them burst into laughter at Sam's panicked look.

"Relax Sam, we're just messing with you."

"Oh-uh okay."

"Yeah chill dude, we're cool and to answer your question yeah we're siblings." David followed.

"Good morning." A tall Asian kid said as he entered next. Than he spotted Sam and smiled. "Good morning Sam."

"Good morning." Sam replied timidly not knowing who the is or how he knew his name.

"I'm Mike." He said as he held out his hand.

"Nice to meet you." Sam replied as he shook it.

Quinn woke to the sound of her daughter fussing. It was clear the new born was hungry.

She scooped her up and shushed her quietly. The blonde immediately set to work on her pajama top to start breast feeding. The baby latched hungrily.

Quinn sat there as her daughter nursed and glanced around at her siblings with a sad smile. Other than at Rachel's family cabin this was the only time her siblings slept this contently and as long as they were.

She supposes that has something to due with the fact that they had gotten to Rachel's house late and had gotten to bed even later. Quinn then noticed that there was one person missing from the room.

Sam.

The blonde furrowed her brow in confusion then began to fill with worry. She looked down at her daughter and knew that removing the baby from eating in favor of searching for Sam was not an option. She just had to wait until the baby was done.

She didn't have to wait too much longer before she burped her than changed her diaper. Just when she was going to go in search of her brother there was a barely there knock at the door.

Quinn laid her daughter back into the bassinet with a pacifier before heading for the door.

She opened thinking and hoping it might be Rachel. To her surprise it was momma Fina.

"Good morning, Quinn." Mama Fina said warmly.

"Good morning."

"I see none of the children are awake yet."

"No, they've been sleeping like logs. I honestly don't want to wake them. They seem so peaceful... Unless of course you need us to leave then I-"

"Non-sense, That's not why I'm here."

"If you're sure?"

"I am."

"Than what is it? Is it my brother?" Quinn's eyes widened a fraction as worry once again filled her and showed in her features.

"Calm down Quinn, Samuel is perfectly fine downstairs in the kitchen having breakfast with the rest of my grandchildren."

Quinn's brows raised in surprise.

"You may go down and check if you don't believe me."

"No it's fine I believe you. I'm just surprised."

"Surprised? Why so?"

"Well I didn't expect him to be so easy going after last night."

"Well between you and I, I believe it has less to do with comfortability and more to do with my granddaughter." Mama Fina admitted with mirth.

Again Quinn was surprised.

"I had gone down to the kitchen when a good bit of my grandchildren were eating and happen to notice Samuel's lingering gaze. When I also noticed that you weren't present it made it quite obvious. Which is why I've come to check in with you and make sure all is well seeing as none of you are down with them having breakfast."

Quinn felt so warm under the woman's motherly gaze and add to the fact that mama Fina had been concerned with her whereabouts meant a lot to her.

"I'm okay, I just woke up later than I intended to. Obviously the kids are asleep minus Beth but I'll wait until they wake up before heading down for breakfast if you don't mind?"

"I don't mind at all." Mama Fina said with a smile.

"Well than I will let you be but before I do, do you mind coming to my office when you're done with breakfast. I'd like to introduce to someone."

"Um okay."

"Alright, have a good morning."

"You too."

With that Quinn shut the door softly. She smiled to herself. Being in that house felt more like home in one day than the hotel room they actually lived in. It was so weird.

The blonde sighed than walked over to the bed wondering not for the first time what Rachel was doing?

Rachel sighed as she sat in her vehicle. The brunette was pissed because her one shot to infiltrate Brock Weston's district was snatched from her fingers by her psychotic fucking sister.

After her conversation with Quinn, Rachel only slept a half an hour before she woke up and couldn't go back to sleep.

She decided to do some recon since she was driving herself crazy with her own thoughts just sitting there at the house.

She's been out for 6 hours now and was happy she is because she just caught the biggest tip of her life if the exchange happening before her is anything to go on.

Quinn just finished eating breakfast and so did the kids. Sam is currently keeping an eye on them while Quinn heads off to speak with mama Fina.

Quinn knocks lightly on the door and hears a soft: 'You may enter'

Quinn did as she was told and entered the room. There sat at her office chair was mama Fina but she wasn't alone. There was a blonde woman standing to right leaning over her shoulder going over paper work with her.

"Quinn, please, have a seat." mama Fina said with a gesture to the chair in front of her desk.

Quinn nodded noticing the blonde woman's eyes on her like a hawk.

"I trust you've had breakfast?" mama Fina asked.

"Yes, ma'am. Thank you."

Mama Fina smile. "Impeccable manners go a long way."

"Yes, my mother agrees with those sentiments."

"She must be a respectful woman."

Quinn nodded but both adults could clearly see the girls mother was a touchy subject so mama Fina moved on.

"So, Quinn let's get down to it shall we?"

"When you're ready." Quinn replied.

"Quinn this is my life partner Sue. Sue this is Quinn Fabray, Rachel's friend."

Quinn and Sue made eye contact but the woman didn't smile. She just sized Quinn up. "Tell me, why are you here?"

"Excuse me?"

"Unlike a parrot I don't enjoy repeating myself. Need I say more?" Sue replied rudely.

"And unlike a child I don't just give respect to whomever thinks they deserve it." Quinn snarked back just as rudely.

The two stared each other down with narrowed eyes. Quinn completely unaware that she was being tested for a specific reason.

"Tell me do you always dress that way or are you just too poor and pathetic that you want to bring every one down with you by subjecting them to not only your fashion sense but you as a whole?"

"Hmmm.. You tell me, seeing as how I believe that's the second track suit I've seen you in since the warehouse. Are you too poor and pathetic that you not only have to torture me with the sight of you but also you're said excuse at intimidation?"

"I gotta give it to you Q, you remind me of a young Sue Sylvester.."

Quinn curled her lip. "Ew."

"Except you don't have my bone structure." Sue continued as if she hadn't heard her.

"What did I tell you?" Mama Fina said with a smirk of her own.

"I agree." Sue nodded.

"I thought you would."

"Excuse me but I'm still sitting right here." Quinn said.

"We have to do something about her choice in clothing though. I can't be seen around that." Sue continued ignoring Quinn.

"Says you." Quinn snapped but they acted as if she weren't there.

"She could also do with a trim. " Mama Fina replied.

"Hmm. That would look good but it would ruin the look I have in mind."

"Okay, you know what I don't know why I even bothered." Quinn said as she stood up to leave.

"Cease fire on the storm out tubbers. We're just messing with you." Sue called out.

"Yes Quinn, I apologize. I just wanted to see how you conduct yourself in that particular setting." Mama Fina said.

"Why?"

"Honestly the people in this house do not allow words to control their actions and Sue wanted to know if you had the same self control."

"Again I reiterate, why exactly?"

"You'll know soon enough tubbers." Sue said as she kissed her wife's cheek, slipped on her sun glasses and left the office.

"Don't mind her, she has an odd way of showering affection." Mama Fina said with a chuckle.

Quinn nodded. "Right.. well if that's all I'll be going."

"Before you do, will you be a dear and take this to Rachel's room for me?" Mama Fina said as she held out a sealed envelope to Quinn.

Another test the blonde was unaware of.

"Sure."

"Thank you."

"You're welcome."

Quinn left the office and headed upstairs to Rachel's room. The blonde knocked but didn't hear anything.

"Rachel? Rachel it's Quinn I have a envelope from mama Fina."

The blonde didn't get a reply so she popped her head in to see the room empty. She stepped into the room and sighed as she walked over to the bedside table and placed the envelope there.

"What are you doing in here?"

Quinn startled, the blonde huffed in annoyance then walked toward the door as she made eye contact with a Latina girl. "Just doing mama Fina a favor."

"Doing what?" The Latina pushed.

"Like I said, doing her a favor." Quinn said as she left the room being sure to shut the door behind.

"In Rachel's room? Really? You expect me to believe that?" She sneered.

"Well it's a good thing that I don't give a damn about what you believe." Quinn sneered back feeling her annoyance spike at yet another asshole in Rachel's family tree.

"You got a problem blondie?"

"No but clearly you're trying to make one and I'm not in the mood to handle you with kiddie gloves." Quinn sneered with a roll of her eyes as she turned to walk away before she was roughly grabbed and spun around. On reflex shoving the Latina with heavy force.

"Don't touch me!" Quinn growled.

"And what are you gonna do about it?!"

"Don't push me."

"Or what? Huh? What are you going to do about it?"

*Shove*

"You know what? I'm not going to do anything because I have more respect for Rachel and her house that you clearly don't. So you can stand here and continue to argue with yourself." Quinn said quickly gathering her emotions, before she did something that would cause a riff between she and Rachel. The blonde spun on her heel and this time successfully escaped any further hostility.

She felt the Latina's eyes on her but didn't turn around as she walked to her room that she was staying in, so she could gather their things because she didn't want to stay there another minute.

Santana watched her with a smirk before she too spun on her heel and headed back downstairs and straight to mama Fina's office where Sue also had returned.

The two adults looked up expectantly.

"Well?" Sue asked.

"You were right mama Fina, she's definitely got the juice."

Sue rolled her eyes and Santana cleared her throat. "I mean, she's exactly what you're both looking for."

"Good now that, that's cleared up. Test Sam and see how he'll go. I need to know there limits." Sue said.

Santana nodded and left. "What do you think?" Mama Fina asked.

"I think baby has stumbled on gold. Take a look at this." Sue said pulling a photo from an brown envelope.

"Is that-?"

"Yes."

"How?"

"I'm not sure but it's her."

"Do you have proof?"

"I've already got cedes packing away the evidence."

"Did I ever tell how much I love you?"

"Don't think I heard that today?"

Mama Fina cupped Sue's face kissing her soundly. "I love you."

"I love you too."
