Midna woke up and looked beside her and noticed that Link was still sound asleep. She tried to get up without waking Link up. Once she was out of bed she went to go check on Twila. As she made her way to Twila's room she noticed that the palace was super quiet. Once she got to Twila's room Ragt bowed.

"Your Majesty," said Ragt.

"Captain Ragt, I just came to check on Twila," Midna replied.

Ragt nodded his head and stepped aside. "Of course your majesty."

Midna opened Twila's door and walked in and noticed that Twila was still sound asleep.

Man, Twila and Link are so alike. Midna thought. Both of them could probably sleep through just about anything.

Midna walked out and closed Twila's door. She turned to Captain Ragt.

"If you see Link can you tell him that I am in the Palace Garden," Midna commanded?

"Of course your majesty."

Midna took off towards the Palace Garden.

Link stirred and looked next to him and saw that Midna wasn't there.

She probably went to go check on Twila. Link thought.

Link got up and put on his royal robes and walked to Twila's room. When Ragt walked up to him and bowed.

"Your Majesty, Lady Midna told me to tell you that she is in the Palace Garden."

"Thank you, captain you may go home and get some rest," said Link. "I need to get Twila ready for tutoring anyways so don't worry about it."

Ragt bowed. "Thank You, your majesty."

Once Captain Ragt left Link opened Twila's door and tried to wake her up.

"Twila, it's time to get ready for your tutoring lessons with Ms. Avra."

At the name of Ms. Avra, she woke up quickly.

Link shook his head. "How come every time I mention Ms. Avra you wake up instantly?"

"I can't wait to learn about what she has to teach me about."

"Well, you didn't get that from me," Midna said.

Link turned around and saw Midna. "I thought you were in the Palace Garden."

"I was it's just that I was going to wake Twila up for her tutoring lessons."

"Oh, sorry but I already did that."

"Mommy, what did you mean that I didn't get it from you?"

"I never liked to go to tutoring because I thought that it was boring," Midna replied.

Twila looked to Link. "Daddy did you like your tutoring."

Link nodded his head. "Yes, but my teacher was Rusl and Uli."

"Aren't they the ones that raised you?"

"Yes, they took me in when no one else did."

"Your majesties, Lady Twila's bath is now ready."

"Thank you Yilra, will you take her to her bath?" Midna asked. "Also once she is finished will you take her to the dining hall."

Yilra bowed, "Of course, follow me, your highness."

Once Yilra took Twila Link and Midna looked at each other.

"It seems like Twila was born yesterday," Midna said.

"Yeah, it sure does."

"Do you have a meeting today?" Midna asked.

Link shook his head. "No, the meeting is postponed until next week."

Midna looked at him. "Why?"

"Because when Yuga came and turned you and Twila into a painting I had to delay the meeting until everything was back to normal."

"Oh."

Link and Midna strolled hand-in-hand to the Dining Hall. Once they got there they noticed that their food was already there.

"I guess Valt knew what we wanted," Midna said.

Link nodded his head. "Well, we always order the same thing."

"Yes, that's true."

Link and Midna sat down in their spots, but they didn't start eating until Twila returned from her bath.

"Why did you start without me," Twila cried.

"We didn't, we were just waiting for you to show up," Link replied. "The food was already here when we arrived."

"Oh, okay."

Twila sat down and the three of them started to eat. While they were eating Chef Valt walked up to them.

"Your Majesties was this exactly what you wanted today?"

Link and Midna both nodded their heads. "Of course, you should know what we like and dislike."

"How about you, Your Highness?"

"Yes, thank you Chef Valt," Twila replied. "This is exactly what I like."

"That's great to hear. Well, if any of you need anything then do not hesitate to holler at me."

"Of course, thank you," Link said.

Valt bowed then headed back to the kitchen to prepare the food for the Palace Guard and the Elders.

"So, Daddy, are you going to pick me up this afternoon?" Twila asked.

Link shook his head. "No, I'm sorry, but I have some things to take care of this afternoon."

"How about tomorrow?"

"Maybe tomorrow."

"Yay."

Once they finished their meal Link walked Twila to Ms. Avra's place.

"I'll see you at dinner." Link said, "Your mother will pick you up this afternoon."

"But, I like it when you pick me up."

"Your mother will be picking you up and that's final," Link scolded. "Now, go inside and learn some things. I love you, sweetheart."

"I love you too daddy."

Once Twila was in the room Link headed to the Training Grounds to check on the new recruits. He wasn't there just to look at them he was looking for someone special. Someone to be Twila's Personal Guard. But, to no avail, he didn't find anyone.

I really need to find someone who cares about the kingdom and wouldn't cause my daughter any harm to be her Personal Guard. Link thought. For one day she will have to travel to the other villages and be the representative of my kingdom.

Link walked to the throne room to meditate. Meanwhile, Midna walked to see Kerea get the monthly check-up for the new baby. Once she got there, Kerea was waiting for her.

"Your Majesty, how are you feeling?" Kerea asked.

"I'm feeling great except that I am feeling tired a lot more than when I was pregnant with Twila."

"That's absolutely normal."

"How is that normal?" Midna asked.

"Well you see, the Twili males when they are born they weigh a lot more than the females do which is the reason why you are tired of you are carrying a boy."

"Now that makes sense."

"Here let me check the baby's pulse to make sure that the baby is healthy.

Once Kerea finished the check-up she went to talk to Midna.

"Great news, your majesty, the baby you are carrying is healthy."

"Thank you, Kerea."

"I'll see you in a month." Kerea bowed then left to attend to the other patients.

Link will be glad to know that he is going to finally have a son as he has always wanted. Midna thought as she went to go find Link.

First, she checked the garden, next she checked the training grounds, lastly, she looked in the throne room and she found him meditating.

Of course, he's meditating. Midna thought clearly annoyed. She was about to walk out when Link called her.

"How was the check-up?" Link asked.

"Kerea said that the baby was healthy." Midna replied, "Also she said that it's going to be a boy."

Link looked at her. "Really that's great, I've been trying to come up with names for our son when we have one and I found one that you would probably like."

"Really, what is it?"

"I was thinking of Atra."

"How did you come up with that name?"

"I'm actually not sure but that name has been popping up in my head every time that I try to think of other names."

"That's actually a great name."

Link looked at her. "You really think so."

Midna nodded her head. "Yes, I do."

"Do you think we should tell Twila that she is going to have a baby brother?"

"I don't think we should tell her yet."

"Yeah, you're right."

Nult walked in and bowed. "Your majesties there is a lady who would like to speak to you."

"Yes, send her in would you."

Nult bowed and left to retrieve her.

"I wonder who it is," Midna said.

"I'm not sure."

Link saw the lady come into the throne room. "How can I help you?"

"Are you King Link?" The lady asked.

Link nodded his head. "Yes, I am Link."

"My name is Ruvoama, I am the Gerudo Chieftess and I was wanting to ally with your people."

"What do you have to offer?" Midna said.

"What she means is what will you provide to help this kingdom prosper?"

"My people are greatly known for making magical jewelry and also we are great at making lots of different clothes."

"I'd love to have you join but I would have to consult the elders to see what they think."

"Okay, I will be in town waiting for your answer." Ruvoama said and bowed then left.

"Do you really think you should trust her, I mean she said she was a gerudo."

"Where are you going with this." Link asked.

"I mean, wasn't Ganondorf a Gerudo."

Link nodded. "Yes, he was, but these Gerudo are different from the one that Ganondorf was born to."

"I know that, do you think they can be trusted?"

"I believe they should at least be given the chance to prove that they will not cause any trouble, harm to us, or to our allies."

"That's a great point."

"Nult." Link called.

"Yes, your majesty."

"Would you please call all of the elders to meet me here in the throne room?" Link asked.

Nult nodded his head. "Of course your majesty right away."

Midna looked to Link. "Do you think they would accept the Gerudo?"

Link shrugged his shoulders. "I'm really not sure if they would or not."

They waited for about fifteen minutes when Chief Elder Vegt walked in the door.

"What is this meeting about your majesty?" Vegt asked.

"I will explain it whenever the rest of the elders arrive," Link answered.

Once the elders arrived Link got started.

"I called this meeting together to ask you if we should accept this people whose chieftess came to me to ask if they could be allies with us."

The elders murmered amongst themselves.

Cang spoke up. "What kind of people are they?"

"It's the Gerudo." Link answered, "They want to ally with us."

"You want the Gerudo to be allies with us when Ganondorf gave Zant his power to rule over us."

"I believe that they should at least be given a chance," Midna said. "And besides, Ganondorf was the King of Theives in the realm of Light not of the Twilight Realm."

"What do they have to offer?" Daank asked. "I mean in exchange for our protection."

"The Gerudo are very skilled in making magical jewelry and clothing."

"I think we should allow them to ally with us." Vegt decided. "They would probably be a big asset especially if we get attacked with people out of the desert beyond them."

"Does everyone agree on that?" Link asked.

All the elders nodded their heads. "Yes we all agree."

"Alright then this meeting is now dismissed," Link said. "Nult will you come in here please."

The elders left and Nult came in. "Yes your majesty."

"Will you please get the Gerudo Chieftess Ruvoama please?" Link asked. "She said she would be in town."

Nult nodded his head and bowed. Once he left Link looked to Midna and smiled.

"Why are you smiling at me for?" Midna asked.

"I'm smiling because the elders asked the same thing that you asked about how Ganondorf was a Gerudo and you gave them the same answer that I gave you."

"Well, what you said was true, they should be given a chance."

Nult walked in with Ruvoama.

"Chieftess Ruvoama, the elders and I decided to accept your terms of the alliance." Link said.

"Thank you, your majesty this really means a lot to me and my people."

Link and Midna nodded their heads. "You will be a great asset to the Kingdom."

"I'm glad that you think that," Ruvoama replied. "The elders of my people will be glad about that too. We think that you are an excellent ruler even though you aren't from here."

"So you know that he is from the Realm of Light." Midna asked.

Ruvoama shook her head. "No, I actually didn't know that, so do you miss the realm of light."

Link shook his head. "No, actually I really love it here and this is my home now."

"Why do you love the twilight realm so much when you weren't raised here?"

"Does that really matter?" Link asked. "I love the twilight realm."

"Alright, I'm sorry for asking that." Ruvoama answered. "Do you forgive me for asking that?"

Link nodded his head. "Yes it's alright you didn't really know that I was from the realm of light in the first place so it pretty makes us pretty even."

"Yes it does.

"Rant."

Rant ran in and bowed. "Yes, your majesty."

"Will you please escort the chieftess out of the palace please."

Rant noddeed his head. "Of course your majesty."

Once they both left Link looked to Midna. "Why did you tell her that I was from the realm of light?"

"I thought that she knew that you were from the realm of light I didn't expect her to ask you so many questions," Midna answered defensively.

"It's alright, the real reason that I love this twilight realm better than the realm of light is because that I love you, but I didn't want her to know that."

"Are you ashamed of me?" Midna asked clearly hurt.

Link shook his head. "No it's just that I sensed that she would start asking how we met even though we were from two different realms."

"Oh, so that's the reason."

Link nodded his head as he looked at his watch. "You need to go pick up Twila."

"What are you going to do?" Midna asked.

"I need to head to the market place and check on the shops to see if there is anything I could help them with."

"Okay, I'll see you at dinner." Midna said.

Once Midna left Link went to their room to change into his royal traveling robes and left to the market place. Once he got there he went into the diner where him and Midna went for dinner one time. Zirda walked up to Link and bowed.

"How can I help you, your majesty?" Zirda asked.

"I'm just checking everyplace to see if there is anything I can help the shops with." Link replied.

"Oh, let me go check with the chef to see if there is anything that we need that you could probably help with."

Once Zirda left Link just waited right there and looked around the resteraunt and noticed that it was pretty worn.

I need to check with the Zoras to see if they could improve this building. Link thought as he watched Zirda come up and she bowed again.

"The chef said there really isn't anything you could help with."

"Well, I was thinking about asking the King Hiri of the Zora to see if they could help remodel this place becuase this is the main resteraunt here in the Market Place of Palace Town."

"That would actually be really nice." A voice said. "Your majesty, I'm Naang the chef here."

"Nice to meet you Naang, your shop would have to be closed until they get done."

"As long as it attracts more customers that's all I really care about."

"Alright then, I will send a letter to King Hiri to let him know if he could send his best architects to remodel this place." Link said, "Don't worry about the cost becuase I will pay for it myself."

Meanwhile Back In the Palace

Once Midna left Link to go pick up Twila she walked towards Avra's place. But to get there she has to pass the Training Grounds. One soldier kept on watching and noticed his fighting style was similar to Link's fighting style. Not only that, but he was very skilled in magic as well.

That kid will make an excellent personal night whenever Twila's older and she travels throughout Twirule. Midna thought.

She continued heading to pick up Twila from Avra's place. Once she got there she waited until Twila walked out to her and called her.

"Hey, Mommy," Twila said. "Is daddy coming to dinner with us."

Midna nodded her head. "Yes, he just has to finish work first."

"So, he is going to be a little bit late."

"No, he should be on his way to the dining hall right now."

"Yay, I can't wait to see him."

The two of them walked in silence for a while. Midna was the first one to speak first.

"So, what did Ms. Avra teach you today?" Midna asked.

"Today she wants me to try and create a family tree."

"I remember when I had to do that with my tutor."

"Was it any fun?"

Midna nodded her head. "Yes, that one was the most fun project that I had to do with my tutor and also the only fun project that I ever did."

Once they entered the dining hall Twila saw Link and ran to him. Link picked his daughter up and spun her around.

"How's my little princess." Link said.

"I'm doing great, Ms. Avra is having me do a family tree and I was wanting to know about your family."

"Well, about that I don't really know who my real parents were but Rusl and Uli took care of me for as long as I could remember." Link replied. "Are you hungry because I am starving."

Midna smiled that impish grin. "You're always hungry."

"I'm always hungry too."

"That's becuase you are just like your father." Midna said. "Let's get to the table and eat."

The three of them sat down in their spots and Valt brought there food to them.

"I made this meal special just for you, your highness." Valt said.

"Thank you chef Valt."

Link, Midna and Twila ate their food in silence and once they were finished Link took Twila to put her to bed for tutoring tomorrow.

"You need to get to bed for tutoring tomorrow." Link said.

"How come I can't stay up longer?"

"Well, for you to be able to focus on your project, you would need plenty of sleep." Link answered.

"Alright, good night daddy."

"Good night, my princess." Link kissed her forehead, shut of the light, and shut her door. Link walked back to his and Midna's room, walked in and saw that Midna was pacing around the room.

"What's wrong?" Link asked as he walked up to her. "And don't say nothing becaue I know you better than that."

"When I was going to pick up Twila I passed the training yard and I saw someone who has a similar fighting style like yours."

"Oh, you are talking about Vadt."

"Wait you know who I am talking about?" Midna asked clearly shocked.

"Yeah, I saw him this morning when I was taking Twila to tutoring." Link replied, "He's left handed just like I am."

"So that's why his fighting style is similar."

"Were you looking for a personal knight to escort Twila when she gets older and she travels."

"Yes, how did you know?"

Link looked at her and laughed.

"What are you laughing about?" Midna asked.

"That's the reason I stopped by the training on my way to drop off Twila."

"Yet you and I are so different, but me and you think pretty much alike."

Link kissed Midna and they both fell straight to sleep.
