"So, lets me see if I have it correctly you want to bring a bunch of kids to train to be the next Avengers" Tony Stark said incredulously. Seeing Nick Fury nod he flipped out "Why the fuck should we do that this stuff isn't for kids what if they fucking die that blood is on our hands".
"I like the idea" Tony looked at Thor in disbelief. Thor seeing the look of Tony's had quickly added "On Asgard training begins at a very young age."
"Well this isn't Asgard humans are easier to kill" Steve added from his corner.
"I say we do it" Client piped up from the rafters "We don't have to send them on dangerous missions we would be helping them get prepared to do something they always wanted to do." Everyone looked over at Natasha because she was someone who was trained at a very young age.
There was a few minutes of silence then Natasha spoke up "I think we should do this if the kids are already going to become heroes we might as well teach them how to not die." After a few moments she stared at Nick and added "They will want to become heroes of their own free will correct."
"Yes, in fact you will be choosing your champion so to speak" Nick said quickly. They all nodded and Bruce spoke up for the first time saying.
"I say we have the lowest age at nineteen I don't want to train children." Everyone nodded in agreement at that statement. After a few weeks they all met back up in the compound with their chosen trainee.
"Alright now that we're all here I say we introduce our trainees" Tony said once everyone had arrived. "I'll start everyone this is Peter Parker better known as Spider-man." Said boy shyly waved at everyone while readjusting his glasses.
"Everyone this is Wanda Maximoff better known as the Scarlet Witch" Natasha said proudly.
Clint smiled and said "And this is Pietro Maximoff better known as Quicksilver". The twins in question were talking in Russian in their own world until Clint elbowed Pietro.
"This is Bucky also known as the Winter Soldier" Steve said while Bucky just stood next to him awkwardly.
"This is Harley Keener he isn't a superhero" Bruce said and then saw the look on his trainee and added "yet." Everyone looked over at Thor waiting for Thor to introduce his trainee.
"So, Thor where's your trainee did you sit on him" Tony said jokingly.
"No but you might have annoyed him into leaving" Said a voice from behind them. They all turned around and saw a scrawny kid no older than sixteen.
"How old are you kid" Steve asked wondering why Thor had chosen on so young despite the rules against it.
"Are we talking soul, body or mind here" The boy asked.
"All of them aren't they the same" Steve asked confused. The boy's eyes widened at seeing Steve for the first time.
"Holy Hera you're Captain America didn't you die" the boy exclaimed before muttering in a language they didn't recognize.
Tony turned to Thor and said "Who is this kid and how old is he we said we wouldn't train kids."
"I am sorry friend Stark but he is no ordinary child and by your laws he is over a hundred years old" Thor said defensively.
