Chapter 10: Loss and Destruction
Hinata was only getting worse as time went on. After Ay left with Nikko and they failed to capture or kill him and retrieve her kid everyone was starting to get suspicious of her. He only had one arm, but he still had a bag that looked big enough to carry another baby and he just walked into her home. Even a powerful ninja doesn't go walking into a house when trying to kidnap someone. Especially not when you're breaking into the house of someone as powerful as Hinata Hyūga. She may not seem that powerful but no member of the Hyūga clan should be doubted especially not one who created their own jutsu so young. It was too risky unless they were hiding their identity or just insanely powerful which Ay really wasn't now, he only had one arm.
Kakashi had set up a team of Anbu to go retrieve the baby while another one headed toward Kumo along with him to figure out what was going on. Darui was shocked to hear what had happened but agreed to help search for his old Sensei. Kidnapping a child was something he knew that Ay use to do in order to get bloodline traits into the village, but he never gave him clearance to start doing that again.
As they spent their time looking for Ay, he had hidden the child with an old associate of his who remained extremely loyal to Ay. They spent time searching for him for months with no avail.
Hinata was growing more and more worried. Hanabi was acting weird since Nikko had been kidnapped and Konohamaru talked to her. She wasn't acting like she had been for the past few years she was acting more like she did when they were kids. Hinata didn't let on, but she noticed Hanabi searching her room before as well as using her byakugan in the house which out of respect the Hyūga family had always refused to do unless it was an emergency.
Over the last few weeks, she had become skittish. Hanabi was acting normal, but it was obvious she was either hiding something or no longer trusted Hinata and she was sure it was out suspicion regarding Nikko. This entire situation had gotten out of control, and she had no way to fix it without telling the truth. Now her sister was suspicious and asking questions she did her best to avoid since she was never sure whether Hanabi was using her byakugan unless she was looking at Naruto.
Hanabi finally started to get suspicious enough to listen to Naruto and Konohamaru. She started by looking through Hinatas stuff. She hadn't thought she was caught by Hinata, but Hinata was getting suspicious of her. She also used her byakugan in the house and Hinata definitely noticed. Since she had already noticed Hanabi would ask her questions the only problem was she avoided any question about Nikko or Naruto. Of course, that was also suspicious, but it wasn't definite proof about Hinata lying. Hinata might just be to upset about Nikko and Naruto still since the kidnapping had recently happened and Narutos death took a toll on her.
It took some time, but she slowly broke through Hinatas hiding places and found different letters including the one from Naruto she received before she died. Hinatas lying was finally realized. Her behavior explained a lot she was jittery avoided questions about Naruto and was becoming depressed. Hanabi didn't think Hinata was dumb, but she was surprised she kept old letters she received from Ay and one that she had meant to send to him. Naruto said in his letter that she sent it to him on accident. It was shocking to see the damage Hinata had caused Naruto after claiming she loved him. She was angry with Hinata and herself. Naruto mentioned months ago about using her byakugan to see if Hinata was lying but she never did since she trusted her older sister to do the right thing. She knew she could have helped Naruto. Even if she wasn't the biggest fan of him, he treated her sister like royalty, and she could have helped save him if she had exposed Hinatas lies earlier. Hanabi wasn't sure if she was going to confront Hinata by herself or let other know about it first.
She decided to tell Neji first and let him decide what to do next. She copied the letters before putting them back in place and leaving.
"Neji are you home," she yelled as she knocked on his door.
"Hanabi what is it. You're never this loud or obnoxious," Neji said opening the door and looking at his younger cousin.
"I need to talk to you about Hinata. It's important," she said walking into his home.
"What's so important and about Hinata that you're here. If you want to gossip, I'm not the person to talk to," he said.
"I don't think I would consider this gossip. You remember a year and a half ago when Naruto and Hinata broke up. You guys found out Hinata was being abused and Naruto said she was cheating on him with Ay," she said.
"Of course, I remember now get to the point," he said impatiently.
"Naruto was right. Now let me explain. Naruto told me after a few months when Hinata went to visit him the one time that they were talking about her pregnancy. Before he left, he told me to use the byakugan to watch her chakra network. If she was lying it would fluctuate. Konohamaru also was very adamant about Naruto not cheating. Well after Nikko got kidnapped, I decided to look into what they were saying. I found letters that Ay sent Hinata, and they are dated during the time that Naruto said she was cheating. I also found a letter from Hinata meant for Ay. She had held onto all of them including the letter Naruto left her before he died," she explained and showed him the letters. After he had finished looking through them, he responded.
"Hinata actually cheated on Naruto. We treated him so poorly because she lied. He changed my life, and I chose to believe Hinata since she's my family," Neji said realizing his mistake.
"I know, but what do we do about Hinata. Nikko was clearly Ays now that we think about it the eyes, and hair is the same as well as the skin tone. Should we confront her ourselves or let your other friends know first," Hanabi questioned.
"I think letting everyone know is the right decision," he said.
While Hanabi had been investigating Shikamaru and Ino were looking into things as well. They started by writing down everything they were told about the situation by Hinata and Naruto. Once they had done that they marked when different events occurred compared to others. They had also decided to visit Narutos apartment. Hinata hadn't cleaned it out yet since it she was still having trouble facing what had happened. The apartment didn't have much in it. The body had been removed. Shikamaru looked around and noticed some dried blood along with a few kunai's that were covered with dried blood. Naruto clearly had a lot of problems after the incident. Ino found some old things of Naruto including a picture of him and Hinata from when they first started dating. He was looking at her in the picture the look in his eyes were so full of love and happiness. It wasn't a look she had ever seen him have before. It looked like Naruto was genuinely happy. Hinata was blushing probably since Naruto was staring at her so intensely.
The rest of Narutos bedroom looked pretty normal other than the mattress having blood on it. Naruto didn't have much. It was kind of weird how little he had, there were no extra ninja gear. He had no spare kunais just the ones covered in his blood, no shuriken's, no extra clothes, it was weird how empty his house was. It felt like he cleaned it out before he died. The rest of the house was normal as well if not a bit empty. They left realizing Naruto was more depressed than they thought.
"Naruto must have been really hurt after everyone turned their backs on him," Ino said.
"Well, it couldn't be easy to be back to square one. He went from a hero to a villain. I've been thinking about it, and I wish even if he was guilty, I wish I stuck by his side. He died because we turned our backs on him, but we let Sasuke and Orochimaru walk around as if they haven't caused more problems," Shikamaru admitted.
"I understand. I just can't get forgive him for hurting Hinata. She chased after him for so long and loved him so much. It makes no sense for him to hurt her and if she did like we think she did I can't forgive Naruto even if I wish he was still alive," Ino said.
"Okay well thinking about everything that had happened are we sure Hinata has been telling the truth," he said.
"Well, we know the physical evidence all points towards Naruto hurting Hinata. However, her behavior isn't exactly lining up with the typical behavior of a victim. She is too in love with Naruto still she wasn't afraid of being near him alone and even wanted his presence at times. She cared about him a lot up until his death and was worried when seeing how beaten up he was. She even rushed to save him after he tried killing himself the first time. The twins are also named after things that reminds her of him. Speaking of the twins Nikko didn't have Narutos shade of blonde or Narutos eyes, but the eyes could just be what Hinatas might look like without the byakugan. We don't know enough about Lord Fourths clan in order to say that the hair is wrong but considering that Naruto and Lord Fourth both have a brighter yellow hair color Nikko having that pale blonde is strange," Ino explained.
"It's hard to be certain about anything. A thing I had been wondering about was the letter Naruto left for Hinata. It makes no sense to leave her a letter if what he said was true what would he want to say to her. Hinata also was very hurt when he died. She said it was because she wanted to have Naruto around, so the twins had a father in their life but why would someone want to have a known abuser be a father figure in their child's life. I would understand not wanting her dad to be the kids father figure since Hinata doesn't have a great relationship with her father but there's still Neji who would practically be their uncle and she could have any man she decides to pursue. However, she is so stuck on Naruto even after their divorce and his death. It just so confusing," Shikamaru admitted.
Deciding to return to Shikamarus place they continued to mull over the information they had gathered. They didn't want to believe Hinata lied to them, but they felt like things weren't adding up.
Neji and Hanabi decided to keep it quiet until they could get everyone to meet up without Hinata. It took another week where Hanabi stayed with Hinata who she was practically living with at this point. Once they were all together, they realized Hinata was missing.
"Hello, everyone I'm sure you're wondering why Hinata isn't with us, and I'll explain in detail in a moment but simply this gathering is about her," she said.
Looking around everyone looked a bit confused but a few who seemed like they were more curious than anything.
"Over the past few weeks Hanabi has been suspicious of Hinata. Well, she had found evidence that Hinata had been lying to us. Naruto was right she was cheating on him with Ay," Neji said. This shocked everyone. Shikamaru and Ino looked like they might have been thinking Hinata was lying to them, but they certainly didn't expect that Naruto was right and Hinata actually cheated on him.
"What proof do you have," Shikamaru asked before anyone else recovered.
"I found letters that Hinata received from Ay as well as one she meant to send to him, but accidently sent to Naruto according to the letter he left her before his death,'" Hanabi said.
"Well, what do we do now," Ino asked.
"We wanted to ask you guys what you wanted to do. Personally, I'm disgusted by my sisters' actions and my own because of her lies Naruto is dead and that's our faults just as much as it is hers. She needs to be confronted and punished. We failed to even check his story since we saw some possible evidence and trusted Hinatas loyalty to Naruto while we said we couldn't trust Naruto since he acts with emotion. We were his friends. I was never close with Naruto, but he had never wronged my sister and when he did, he did everything to fix the problem we should've seen the truth the first time," Hanabi admitted.
"You're right. We all looked the other way as we saw someone, we once claimed to be our friend suffering because of the actions of another friend. We chose Hinata over Naruto without thinking about it even though he would have spent as much time as possible to confirm our innocence if it were us in the same situation," Shikamaru said.
All in agreement they made their way to Hinatas house. Many of them were angry that they had been lied to and some were angry at themselves, but everyone seemed to be disappointed with their own behavior. Walking into the home they called up to Hinata and she came down to see everyone gathered in her living room.
"What's up guys I didn't know you were coming over," Hinata said as she made her way downstairs.
"We know," Ino said.
"You know? What are you talking about Ino," Hinata said not catching on yet.
"I found your letters Hinata. You cheated on Naruto," Hanabi said activating her byakugan.
"What are you talking about? I would never do that," Hinata said and Neji and Hanabi watched her chakra network fluctuate proving she was lying.
"We can see your chakra network Hinata. You just lied again. We saw the letters Ay sent you. As well as the one you accidentally sent to Naruto. I'm not sure why he protected you after what you did, but there's no more lying about it," Neji said fuming.
"You chased him for years. What made you do it? We believed you because there was no way you would cheat on him so why did you do it," Ino questioned.
"Yeah, why did you do it? Naruto may have been an idiot, but he never did anything wrong why would you hurt him like this," Sakura asked.
"Because I felt lonely, unloved, and uncared for when Naruto was gone and I was too scared to tell Naruto the truth and when he found out I was too scared to lose everything, so I tried to prevent the truth from coming out," Hinata admitted.
"Hinata that's no excuse for cheating on him or for lying to everyone about it. Naruto may have been angry once he found out, but he wouldn't have let you suffer because of it," TenTen said.
"I know it's not, but I couldn't bring myself to come clean. I tried to help him. I wanted him to be involved in his child's life and I wanted you guys to accept him again, but he was already so far gone. He didn't want to things to be fixed since he saw you guys turning on him so quickly as your true feelings towards him. He just wanted to end it. I tried to help, but I just made things worse when I gave him the letter. I meant to send it to Ay and I wanted to send Naruto another one, but I already messed up and Naruto was trying to findanyway to kill himself. There's no fixing this or redeeming myself after what I did, I know that," Hinata cried.
"You're right there is no fixing the past. Naruto is dead. You can attempt to redeem yourself and you should try but I won't be forgiving you. I won't be forgiving myself either. I have always been deemed a genius in this village, but I couldn't see that my best friend was telling the truth. I sat around ignoring him and wishing he was in pain for doing something so vile, but he was telling the truth and you lied. We fell into your trap and now Naruto the savior of the ninja world is dead. I can't forgive myself for that," Shikamaru said leaving.
"You have no idea how much I want to hurt you. I won't say Naruto is my favorite person, but I cared about him. He was a dimwit and rarely used his brain for anything good and I beat him for what you accused him of, but I won't hurt you since you won't survive if I do. I hope you suffer for what you did," Sakura said. Sakura was in a worse mood than usual after she found out about this. She also happened to be pregnant from the one-night stand with Sasuke a few months ago so her mood swings have been really bad lately.
The rest of the group yelled at her before making their leaves as well. Once most of the group had gone it was only Kiba, Shino, Hanabi and Neji.
"I can't believe you would do this Hinata. You were never a liar and you loved Naruto so much. I can't believe you," Kiba said nearly crying.
"I'm disappointed in you," Shino said as he and Kiba turned and left.
Those words hurt her more than any of the others. Kiba and Shino were disappointed in her. Her two best friends her team from childhood was disappointed in her because she fucked up so badly. She hadn't stopped crying, but she feared what Neji was about to say.
"Hinata look at me. I won't sit here and yell at you but tell me why. You slept with the man that not only tried to kidnap you but is the reason I don't have a father today. He's the reason I was so resentful towards the main family and after everything we've been through you slept with him," Neji said in disbelief.
"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to. He charmed me when I was in such a dark place. He acted like he loved me and cared about me. He always had the right thing to say, and I thought he really loved me. He was the perfect replacement for Naruto when he was gone. I never even thought of what he did in the past since he had helped during the war so much and he helped me when I needed it the most," Hinata admitted to her disappointed cousin.
"I understand being in a dark place. I do. I know you were having trouble after your miscarriage, but you never reached out for help even when I offered it. When Naruto tried to help or Hanabi, or any of our other friends reached out to make sure you were okay you said you were okay and not to worry, but apparently the former Raikage was good enough for you. Naruto worked so hard to achieve his dreams. He worked to protect you and this village and you through it all away because you couldn't face him or your friends. I have trouble believing that. It almost feels like you wanted to hurt Naruto and wanted to ruin everything in his life," Neji said coldly. It was clear he was angry with her. Everyone should be. She ruined the life of the best man in the world just to protect her sorry ass.
Since then, more people had found out. Hinata began to cut, and she knew she was slipping. She wasn't sure how Naruto managed to be alone for so long. Hinata still had Himawari which kept her in check, but all her friends avoided her, and her family disowned her. She was shocked if she was honest her dad and the elders never liked Naruto and her dad seemed to have been almost pleased finding out he killed himself. Hinata wasn't hated as much as Naruto was, but it was clear she wasn't liked by the village. She killed the hero that protected them even if they hated him having him here was a comfort.
The days went by slowly. She didn't leave the house with being insulted or frowned upon. Her family decided to rid her of her position of heiress giving the position to Hanabi. She lost everyone just like she had feared she would. Everyone sent their hate towards her they blamed her for his death as if they weren't apart of the reason. He was treated worse by them than by her she may have been the cause of it, but he was hurt because it was so easy for everyone to turn on him.
Hinatas life only got worse as she continued to lose things. She lost her title and all the respect she had. Naruto was called a wife beater, but she was being called a Kumo Cow and she wasn't sure which was worse. Having Himawari around was a big help but even then, it was hard to stay strong when all she wanted was to give up.
Hinata spent most of the time she wasn't taking care of Himawari crying. She tried to do what Shikamaru said and redeem herself but no matter what she did she wasn't going to forgive herself. If she could fix everything, she would but there was no way to travel back in time and never return Ays first letter and tell Naruto about how she was suffering.
The village had realized their mistake. The original Rookie 9 was down to six members since Hinata was no longer a ninja and Naruto was dead while Sasuke was rarely in the village. Even the addition of Guys team only brought them to nine members. Some of the most powerful ninjas in the village were brought to their death or no longer wished to stay in the village because of how they behaved. Everyone in the village knew that it would be near impossible to keep themselves safe if a war managed to break out and Naruto was the biggest deterrent of war.
Naruto was always able to bring others together he was the reason the villages were cooperating. Now they had killed him they were vulnerable again. The ninja still in the leaf were strong of course but having Naruto and Sasuke made them untouchable.
Kakashi was having trouble digesting the news. Hinata had lied. Naruto was innocent and he had spent months sending him on suicide missions because he had been so disgusted with his behavior. Talking to Tsunade made him realize many of Narutos old friends were realizing just how badly they messed up.
Naruto and Sasuke were training together and talking about what they were going to do next. Sasuke thought I would be a good idea to move every now and then just as a precaution. Naruto was a bit reluctant to leave but he realized Sasuke was right. Keeping on the move kept them all safe especially since Kumo or at least Ay was after Shion and they could probably track them through Sasuke.
Naruto and Shion were getting much farther in their relationship as the months went by. After living together for four months Naruto was moving on completely from Hinata. He could say he loved her without feeling guilty and he felt like he was healing from all the betrayal over the years. Shion had gotten pregnant before they moved hideouts for the second time which made traveling a bit of a hassle, but she did well.
It had been a year since they moved and started traveling together and Shion was six months pregnant now. They had avoided going near Konoha and traveled mostly between different Orochimaru hideouts. They had also set up a hideout in Uzushiogakure. They wanted to spend the rest of Shions pregnancy there since no one ever entered the destroyed village and it was the easiest area to hide with complete privacy.
Naruto didn't know that in his time away from the village one of Hinatas twins had been taken and Hinata had been exposed as a liar. He had wanted her lies to continue simply so the twins were raised in a stable environment, but it wasn't a big deal since he wouldn't know about it.
After Ay escaped Konoha without too much issue and after dropping off the kid in Kumo he was off to meet with Iwa, Kiri and the rest of Kumo. They realized that Konoha was too powerful and wanted to help each other even the odds by looking for powerful bloodlines and ninjas around the smaller nations. They wanted to let Suna in on the plan, but they were too loyal to Konoha, and they feared if Suna found out another war would break out. Currently they were looking for Sasuke Uchiha since they believed that he would have information on Shions location. Usually, they sent smaller search units but knowing the Uchiha's strength they decided to bring a much stronger unit of sensory ninja as well as many strong battle types.
It took them a long time after he had escaped before they found Sasuke Uchiha. He was traveling with the stranger Taiyo and Shion as well. They had been moving towards the Land of Whirlpools when they had been found and moving at a relatively slow pace. Hiding their presence, they converged onto the location in order to incapacitate Sasuke and Taiyo then kidnap Shion. The nations were taking turns with each bloodline trait found and luckily this was Kumos. The other nations weren't aware of the baby that Ay had with Hinata. If they did, they might assume that he has the byakugan and would try to skip his village.
"Sasuke trouble is coming," Naruto said after noticing many chakra signatures. They tried to hide the chakra but since they were moving in such a large group the chakra was easily noticed by him.
"Yeah, I feel them are you ready," Sasuke responded.
Naruto didn't say anything he just slipped a kunai down his sleeve into his gloved hands. Once the attack started Naruto and Sasuke quickly got to work all while protecting Shion. Kunai passed by them as they dodged and blocked the waves of sharp objects keeping Shion from being hurt in the process. Naruto had noticed that Ay was there as well. He was excited. Naruto had wanted to hurt him for so long. Sasuke said that revenge would only bring him onto a dark path, but he was here so why not kill him.
Many of the ninja involved in the fight were from different villages. Sasuke was shocked to see that every village was involved in this fight. It made no sense. The leaf and the sand wouldn't attack him. If they had wanted Shion they would have written him a letter like they always did.
The group wasn't too large for Sasuke and Naruto to take care of, but unless they left no survivors Naruto couldn't go all out since it would be easy to recognize Kuramas chakra cloak. Finishing off a Hidden Stone ninja Naruto noticed Shion was missing. Looking around he couldn't find her. He also couldn't find Ay anywhere. Naruto quickly realized what had happened when he got distracted and searched for their chakra.
"Sasuke I'm going after Shion," Naruto said.
"Okay ill catch up," Sasuke yelled back.
Naruto was about to leave before roughly twenty-five ninjas stepped in front of him. They weren't a big issue, but they were acting like sacrifices. Cutting his way through them he dodged a mix of kunai, fist, and random jutsus, but after a minute he was free to go. Naruto ran off after Ay. Ay was still fast with his cloak of lightning, but Naruto was faster with sage mode. He hadn't been sure if he could still use it after breaking the contract with the toads, but it hadn't affected his ability to gather nature chakra.
Naruto was annoyed to find out Ay left a group of ninjas in the direction he went to slow down Naruto. It only delayed him a few seconds, but he wanted to reach him before the Land of Lightning. As they crossed through the Land of Bears it didn't take them long to reach the Land of Lightning. Sasuke wasn't going to be able to catch up, so he had to decide whether to slow down and wait for back up or if he continued to chase Ay. If he went full speed with the help of Kurama he could reach Kumo from where he was in under a few hours. He wasn't sure how long it would take Ay to reach Kumo though. Naruto knew he was faster even with just sage mode, so he could probably take the time to wait for Sasuke and catch up when Ay was forced to take a break.
Sasuke only took an hour to catch up to Naruto. Naruto had continued to track Ay and found he was resting in a small village only a little way from the boarder. They continued to move at top speed and reached the small village after another hour.
Finding Ay was easy and they broke down the door. Naruto was seething. He wasn't losing one of the few people that still cared about him.
Ay looked at Taiyo and was terrified. He had only ever felt like this while Naruto threatened him over a year ago. He acted quickly and grabbed Shion putting a Kunai to her neck.
"I'm leaving with this girl. You two are going to stay here and wait five minutes or else I'll kill her," Ay threatened.
Even as fast as Naruto was Shion had a kunai touching her neck and one bad move she would be dead. Sasuke could use his rinnegan and switch places with her, but he would be in the same position as Shion. It was risky to make a move and Sasuke realized it as well. They were fast enough to track him and catch up even if he had a five-minute head start.
Ay made his way out of the small village and with the little chakra he had Ay sprinted to Kumo. He wasn't sure how much distance he could put between him and his pursuers, but he hoped it would be enough for him to reach the village and hide Shion in time. If he wasn't fast enough, he planned on killing her. She had an ability that was simply too strong for the leaf to have her loyalty. Ay moved faster than he ever had before. He had the advantage since he knew the area while neither Sasuke or Taiyo did and if he could put enough distance between them even the great Sasuke Uchiha wouldn't be able to track him easily.
"Are you ready," Sasuke asked.
"Of course. We should be able to catch him before he gets to the village, but I can't use Kurama to boost my speed I'll have to rely on sage mode, so Bee doesn't notice I'm alive." Naruto explained.
Sasuke nodded his head in understanding, and they began to follow Ays trail. Sasuke didn't realize how tired he was after traveling as long as they had. They weren't stopping to camp unless there was bad weather. Naruto had just carried Shion if she grew tired since they wanted to reach the hideout as quickly as possible. Naruto and Sasuke had already been running walking for two days before Ay had confronted them, but they would move on if it meant getting Shion back. Sasuke refused to let her die. She had helped save Naruto from the darkest spot in his life. Sasuke wasn't like Naruto he couldn't talk his way into people's hearts thankfully Naruto had still trusted him otherwise Naruto would have likely refused Sasuke's help. Without Shion Sasuke was afraid Naruto would begin to go down the path of revenge like Sasuke had done before.
Naruto moved at ridiculous speed as he moved past his surroundings like a blur. Sasuke was amazed at just how fast Naruto was even without using Kuramas chakra. Sasuke was a little behind him as he didn't want to waste his chakra. The fight earlier wasn't that difficult but running after Naruto was a bit challenging. Ay wouldn't be a threat to either of them even so Shion was pregnant, and he knew if she died or lost the child Naruto would go on a rampage.
Ay was finally in sight of the village, but he was also in sight of Taiyo and Sasuke. Ay blew through the gates and into the village jumping between the buildings as he was followed by his pursuers. Once to the building he had been hiding the children and people of bloodline traits he made his way to the bottom floor and dropped Shion off. His consultant would handle her like the rest, but he needed to lose Sasuke and Taiyo.
Naruto continued his chase of Ay and once he reached the building Ay went into, he followed suit. He knew Shion along with many others were there as well as Ay. He had also noticed that Bee was nearby so he would need to tread carefully. Naruto didn't know that Ay had been considered a rouge shinobi since he kidnapped Hinatas child even if biologically the kid was Ays he still kidnapped him. Ay continued out of the building from the bottom floor. Naruto continued chasing him as Sasuke just reached the building, but as he did so he ran into Bee.
"Bee, have you seen Ay around," Sasuke asked as he saw Bee.
"Ay went rouge was found kidnapping a leaf village baby, hasn't been in the cloud so try the Raikage maybe," Bee responded.
"Well, he along with many others jumped my two friends and me. He kidnapped one of the people I was traveling with, and my friend went ahead chasing Ay here. You were his brother, right? Where in the village would he hide someone," Sasuke asked.
Right then both Sasuke and Bee heard a large explosion. Looking down onto the cliff they saw Ay and Taiyo fighting. Many Cloud shinobi were alerted and immediately started to try and apprehend them both. Naruto escaped with ease out speeding everyone in the vicinity, but Ay dazed after the short skirmish was having more trouble. Bee had jumped in to help, but Sasuke wanted to find Shion and Naruto.
Ay was able to escape and make it to the hideout. He knew he wouldn't have long so he needed to find a better place to hide himself and Shion. He didn't think Sasuke, and Taiyo would find him quickly so he thought that he would have the time to seal Shions chakra that way they wouldn't be able to track her. He also could seal his long enough to escape, but when they were leaving another problem occurred Bee was out looking for him. Leaving Shion inside the building he went out and Bee noticed him.
"Ay don't tell me the rumors are true you're kidnapping babies. I thought you stopped hunting bloodline traits. This is a time of peace," Bee said knowing how serious the situation was.
"Bee come with me so I can explain," Ay said. He moved them to a different building he knew would be safe.
"Bee the other villages and I believe that the Leaf village is too strong. They have all three of the strongest dojutsus in the village. They also have the greatest strategist in the world. Sasuke Uchiha alone is strong enough to bring down a village worth of ninjas without help and until a few months ago they had Naruto as well. If the leaf wanted to, they could have taken control of the other villages without an issue. Seeing this myself and the other villages decided to collect willing people with bloodline traits, so the odds weren't so stacked in the Leaf Villages favor," Ay explained hoping he would understand.
"Thats no excuse to be stealing children from the leaf village," Bee insisted.
"That child is mine," Ay admitted.
"So, it's true the rumors I heard. I heard that after you stole her child, she was found to have cheated on Naruto with you. How could you do that. He was our comrade and friend. You ruined his life Ay because of your actions Naruto is dead why would you ever sleep with his wife," Bee yelled at Ay.
"Don't blame it all on me. She wanted to sleep with me as much as I wanted to sleep with her," Ay growled.
"Bullshit! You wanted the byakugan. I know you I remember what we used to do as we collected people with bloodline traits. I remember the plan to kidnap Hinata when she was still a toddler. She didn't want to sleep with you unless you did something to convince her it was okay," Bee was still yelling remembering the horrors they had committed in the past.
"I did want the byakugan and maybe I did convince Hinata it was okay, but she fell for me. That's not my fault," Ay yelled back.
"It is your fault when all you were doing was playing a part. All you wanted was a pair of fancy eyes, so you did what you needed to do in order to convince her that sleeping with you was okay. You ruined Narutos life. He died because of your actions and for what? The byakugan or the balance of power you're so afraid is leaning towards the leaf even though they would never start a war," Bee was pissed hearing his brother try and convince him what he was doing was okay.
"Fine I messed up. I'll return the child and the people who I asked to come here. In fact how about you return the baby that way you know it gets done," Ay said hoping Bee would leave him alone.
"Good and you turn yourself in when I'm gone," Bee said.
Ay went and got the baby while Bee went and prepared to leave the village. He told the Raikage he was heading was going on a vacation which he allowed since Bee was no longer an active-duty ninja. Once everything was packed and ready, he left with the baby to return to Hinata.
Naruto was getting pissed off. He had found Sasuke, but it felt like Shions and Ays chakra had disappeared. Since it was getting late, they decided to camp outside near the village. Naruto had a bad feeling and so did Sasuke but if they couldn't sense Ay or Shion there had to be a reason and they hoped it wasn't death. Naruto had the thought, but he wasn't going to jump to conclusions.
Once Bee left Ay delved into a new plan. It was clearly too difficult to keep Shion around as Sasuke Uchiha and his friend was looking for her and they seemed to be really good trackers. Getting rid of Shion was the best plan. After he rested, he would put his plan into action.
Naruto and Sasuke woke up and Naruto automatically had a bad feeling in his stomach. He used sage mode to search for Shion again and was able to find her in the village along with Ay. They were able to find them easily enough. They were on one of the lower levels of the village and they were alone other than a few people here or there. As they rushed there, they stayed hidden to see what Ay was doing, but all they saw was Shion and Ay standing there looking like they were having a friendly conversation.
Revealing themselves they quickly regretted not getting Shion out. Naruto felt time slow. He had to be sleeping but when he pinched himself nothing changed. Naruto heard Ay yell before the bloodcurdling scream that followed. Naruto watched as Ay yelled for help but stayed frozen in place along with Sasuke. Naruto was moving before he registered what happened. He caught Shion just in time. Blood was covering her chest and coming out of her mouth. Naruto hadn't been quick enough to save her. She had lost consciousness within seconds and was bleeding out in his arms he didn't know what to do as he held her and tried to heal her with the help of Kurama. He didn't care if he was supposed to be dead, he had to try and help her. It wasn't working and Naruto felt her heartbeat slow, Naruto had started breathing faster and faster as panic took hold. He couldn't save her. He lost her and the baby before he ever had the courage to tell her he loved her.
Tears were overtaking his eyes as he held her in his arms. He wasn't paying attention to Ay escaping as Sasuke attempted to stop him but failing to as he jumped off the rail onto the cliff. Sasuke took his attention off of Ay and to Naruto who was glowing orange holding a bloody Shion in his arms. He knew he had to get them out of there, but Anbu were already on scene. Clearly the few people around them didn't notice Ay was the one who stabbed her since they were no accusing Sasuke of doing it. Anbu tried to stop them but were failing to as Sasuke just wanted to help Naruto. More Cloud ninja were beginning to show up and Naruto looked up with fury in his eyes.
Attacking alongside Sasuke was a mistake and Sasuke knew it. They needed to escape not fight, but Naruto was on a rampage, and he couldn't stop him. Naruto was ripping apart the cloud ninja without any difficulty. Very few had the time to realize they were fighting Naruto Uzumaki a supposed dead man and the ones who did connect the dots didn't have the time to tell anyone.
"NARUTO," Sasuke screamed.
This didn't get Narutos attention as he put a kunai through another ninja trying to stop him. The cloud had gone into an emergency alert. Darui heard reports of what was happening in the village and if they were true, it meant Naruto may be alive, but he was rampaging in his village. He also heard Sasuke Uchiha was with him. It was unclear what he was doing as it seemed to a mix of fighting off his men as well as trying to subdue Naruto.
Thirty minutes into the fighting the ground was littered with the bodies of cloud ninja as they tried to stop Naruto. Sasuke was trying to help, but he also didn't want to hurt Naruto. Darui had joined the battle now in order to stop Naruto.
"Sasuke what happened. Naruto should be dead why is he rampaging through my village," Darui demanded an answer.
"Naruto faked his death but he's rampaging because Ay had kidnapped and killed his pregnant wife," Sasuke explained.
"How do we stop him without destroying the village," Darui asked.
"I've been trying to, but Naruto is more powerful than me at this point and he is overflowing with rage, but I think something might work with your help," Sasuke said before explaining his plan.
The cloud ninja retreated leaving just Darui and Sasuke to fight Naruto. Darui backed up and began to set up his next attack while Sasuke prepared to use Daruis distraction to close the gap and hopefully get Naruto to stop his rampage.
"Gale style: Laser Circus," yelled Darui.
As a large stream of white light and surged through the air Sasuke noticed the size of the attack and realized Darui was planning on killing Naruto rather than subduing him. Jumping in front of Naruto Sasuke was hit by Daruis attack. Leaving a large hole in his stomach. Naruto saw this and his eyes widened.
Sasuke knew he didn't have much time the hole in his stomach was big enough to stop him from talking much but he needed to talk to Naruto, and he thinks with this he finally got his attention.
"Naruto Sakura may be pregnant...,' he coughed up blood before forcing more words out...,'if she is take care of the child...,'he paused as more blood came out...,' use my eyes to teach her. Thank you, Naruto," Sasuke breathed out.
Naruto was fuming. He registered what Sasuke said, but he couldn't get over what had happened. Naruto moved with murderous intent. Darui watched the blur come near him then felt a hand go through his chest. Naruto moved onto the rest of the village. He was broken. He ripped through ninja and civilian alike as he destroyed the village. Anbu and Jonin tried to stop him, but they were no match for him. He wasn't even hiding his identity anymore as he through rasengan and rasenshurikens with different chakra natures just to watch the village crumble.
Naruto left no survivors as he shot out tailed beast balls. He heard the screams of innocent people and killed them without hesitation. He retrieved Shion and Sasuke and before he left, he transferred Sasukes rinnegan to his eye and using an immense amount of chakra cleared the mountain range where the Village Hidden in the Clouds once resided.
Naruto carried the corpses of the only people in the world that still loved him. It took no time at all to leave the village. He carried them nearly three kilometers before collapsing on the ground when he woke up Naruto cried for hours. He left the battle unscathed while the two people he cared about lost their lives.
Naruto removed Sasukes sharingan eye and placed it into a bottle to store. He didn't want to use his friends' eyes but the rinnegan was too powerful to leave around and if it fell into the wrong hand's problems could occur. He placed Shion and Sasuke in a storage scroll and left to Uzushiogakure. Once there he buried them by the hideout, they were going to call home. He held a small funeral with just him and left the abandoned village.
He left no one in the village alive, but once ninja who were out on missions returned the news of Kumogakures destruction spread. No one knew who did it or how. There was evidence of an army, and the autopsies of the few recovered bodies didn't help prove anything other than ninja of extreme caliber attacked the village.
Naruto heard the people talking and knew how scared everyone was. Sasuke asked him to check on Sakura, so he did. She had a child and heard her name was Sarada Uchiha. He wasn't going to offer Sakura help, or he would need to explain to her what had happened or lie about what happened. The kid was still young so dropping off money and baby supplies was good enough for now he would check back later and eventually he would take Sarada along with the twins, but first he had a world to burn.

Hello I'm back with another chapter. A lot happens this chapter and the previous one. I had expected the the previous chapter to start some chaos but I couldnt write get the story written in a way that everything happened the way I wanted it too all while being a reasonable length for a chapter. So the previous chapter was a bit slower than promised but I hope everyone enjoyed this chapter since a lot of shit happens.
These chapters are a major tipping point for the rest of the story. A lot of things will happen during the next few chapters and more destruction will follow. Shion and Sasukes deaths were the final straw for Naruto to become a cold blooded killer. They were helping his recovery and were making progress but now they gone due to ninjas he has no second thoughts about destroying the world himself. I wanted to bring in Shion as a temporary relationship since I love the scene where he promises her a kid without knowing what he promised to do and i thought if that were canon Shion and Hinata would have a really funny relationship plus they look similar and since I actually really like Hinata she was my second choice for a partner for Naruto.
The toads are no longer his summon. He still had sage mode though since I don't know why he would lose the ability to gather nature energy. Hinata was found out and more repercussions will follow in further chapters. I feel like she wouldn't be treated as harshly by the villagers after a while since they only dislike her after they find out she lied and since they followed her lies which led to Narutos death they hate her, but I don't think it'll last since or be as harsh since they like Hinata while they didnt like Naruto. Her real loss will be her clan rejecting her along with her friends. Either way more will come for Hinata her punishment isn't over yet so don't think I'm not being harsh enough.
Sasukes death was needed as the first chapter notes he has the rinnegan and i wasnt spending the year explaining Narutos attempted recovery or how he fell in love with Shion or any of the other mundane stuff that happens from the time he leaves until Shion is kidnapped. Naruto will be a problem for the world now that he has no one who cares about him and feels like the entire world turned on him since he doesn't know what happened with Hinata or that his old friends were now realizing how wrong they are and it wouldn't matter anyway.
I hope you enjoyed these chapters i needed to take a small break after moving and I took the time to finish the war arc in Naruto. I haven't watched the last fourteen episodes that i think have something to do with Narutos and Hinatas wedding or The Last Naruto movie but I got to the point where Sasuke leaves and Naruto begins learning about the needed material to become a Jonin. After I did that I hit a little writers block but was able to get over it enough to bring you these two chapters so i hope everyone enjoyed them.
