Hello, everyone. Your girl's back to update another chapter for you all. So sorry for not updating sooner. I've been lazy and didn't felt like writing anything. Kalego will talk to Sullivan about his past with the hope he might have the answers of his lover. I don't own the canon characters as they rightfully belong to their actual owners while I only own my OCs.
Warning: Implied sexual theme.
Kalego stare at the Chair-Demon's office doors. He couldn't believe that he's going to ask the very demon that made his entire career miserable since the day he worked here. But one of his memories had Sullivan in it. So that meant that Sullivan is even aware of his missing past while Kalego wasn't, and this made Kalego having to swallow his pride just to ask the fool.
Raising his hand, Kalego quietly knock on the door and waited for Sullivan to answer while hoping that Opera wasn't in the office as well. He didn't want to deal with the cat demon right now.
Seeing that no one was answering him, the dark purple-haired man figures that no one wasn't in the office at the moment.
"While that's it for today," Kalego says as he began to turn around to leave and head back to class.
Unfortunately for Kalego, Sullivan had open the door just before the dark purple-haired man could truly leave.
"Oh, Kalego-kun. I thought that was you talking on the other side of the doors. I almost thought that age had finally keep up with me when I head that little door," Sullivan happily said as he drags poor Kalego into his office while the younger man protested.
Sullivan places Kalego on one of the chairs while Kalego immediately regretted ever thinking of asking Lord Sullivan for help. At least Opera wasn't here to make things hard for him. The old fool would probably end up asking how's his grandson doing in class and if he's eating well. Kalego tries to keep his anger in check since things won't go anywhere if he won't question the Chair-Demon. The sooner this talk was done, the sooner that things might go back to normal again.
However, unknown to Kalego, things would never go back to normal when the truth is revealed to him.
"Oh, tell me how's my precious Iruma-kun doing. Is he making more friends in his classes? Is he getting good grades lately? Had the other students been picking on him?" Sullivan kept asking all questions of his beloved grandson, while not bothering to ask Kalego why he's here in the first place instead of getting ready for class.
The dark purple-haired man could feel his temper getting ready to explode any moment thanks to Sullivan's Iruma related questions while offering some tea and cookies. But kept his cool with the thought of his missing beloved.
"Chair-Demon, I'm only here because I have something to ask you that is very important to me," Kalego said seriously.
Sullivan had his back turn to Kalego, but he had a serious face on him while he poured some tea. He had a feeling about what Kalego wanted to ask. The old man knew that it was a matter of time until the dark purple-haired man would figure it out. That spell isn't strong, especially when the person finds the most cherished things from their past they forget and the memories come back slowly but surely.
"And what may I ask that is so important than my Iruma?" Sullivan asks as he changes his expression and turns around in order not to make Kalego suspicious of his sudden seriousness.
The dark purple-haired man took a deep breath, ready to tell Sullivan of his past that was erased from his mind, or at least what he remembers.
"Ever since your grandson created those... apples, I've discovered that some of my memories have somehow been blocked from my mind. One of them has you in it. So, I'll ask this one time. Do you know anything about my past?" Kalego asks, looking dead serious at the Chair-Demon.
Sullivan didn't say anything to Kalego for what seems like forever. Although Kalego does remember, it was only small pieces that the younger man remembers. The old man felt relief that Kalego was breaking that spell with those apples. That's Kalego's favorite fruit from the Human World. Because of her. Anything related to her proofs that love is stronger than any magic in both realms. However, Sullivan kind of wanted Kalego to forget a bit longer, regardless of how selfish that sounded. He's a demon, and demons naturally selfish of their desires.
"I am aware of your past more than you," Sullivan answered.
Kalego felt glad that he could have some closure to his past where his lover may be, but he was also furious at Sullivan for knowing that he was missing a large chunk of his memories and didn't try to help him recover. The old demon even knows about his lover no doubt. As much it pains to ask Sullivan more questions of his lost past, Kalego felt the longing of her whereabouts is getting him alive of the longer trying to find her again.
"IF YOU KNEW THAT I WAS MISSING SOME MEMORIES, THEN WHY DIDN'T YOU BOTHER TO HELP ME?!" Kalego shouted at the old demon as he got up from his chair.
"Because you wanted to forget her, Kalego-kun."
"What?" Kalego became frozen at the spot. He couldn't believe what he just heard.
"You wanted to forget her. That's what you desired when you went to Henri to have your memories of the woman you loved. He even asked you if you were certainly for wanting to forget about her. You only replied how much you wanted erased all your memories of her and everything you created with her," Sullivan remarks sadly.
Kalego stood there, completely speechless. He was the one who told Iruma that erasing one's memories would only cause more pain and end up regretted forgetting. How irony for a Naberius for showing weakness. But for once, Kalego didn't care how he appeared now. Just when he has some answers already, he ended up with more questions. That memory of her laying there in a pool of her blood might something bad happened to her, enough that he wanted to forget her to ease his pain of losing her.
"I can't tell you what happened that made you wanted to forget, Kalego-kun. That's up to you when you want to face the truth yourse..."
"What if I hurt her? You had been there to know what happened to the woman I loved, Sullivan-sama! You or Opera-senpai had to be there when it happened, right?" All Kalego could do is beg the Chair-Demon for more answers.
"Opera never met her, so they aren't able to tell you either," Sullivan said gently as possible to the dark purple-haired man, who was clearly losing it from not knowing what happened to his beloved.
"I... I..." Kalego remembers her warm smile and her beautiful laugh. Everything about her eased his entire being.
Kalego wakes up, groaning softly. Setting up on the bed in the quiet room of the tiny cottage in the forest he came to live with her. Looking at the window, night still held its place while morning waited for its turn.
Kalego was shirtless while the rest of his was covered by the blanket. He rubbed his forehead. Morning will appear soon and should go back to sleep now. However, the dark purple-haired man couldn't help but feel a little homesick. He misses his brother and Shichiro greatly. Wondering how they're doing right now. No doubting they're worried about him and where he's at.
Hell, he even misses Sullivan, Opera, and his uncle a lot. He's the guard dog of Babyls, and he's not there protecting the school from threats and keeping the students in line. Being away from home, made him miss everyone.
However, a small moan pulled him out of his thoughts. Turning to his left to see that his beloved was still asleep. The blanket they both shared covered her entire body and her long hair covered most of her face, but Kalego could see her bare shoulders. Her arms were out, with her left arm beside her and her right one resting on her stomach.
"She's so small compared to me. So fragile and delicate if I'm not careful. She's so kind and caring towards others, and yet I'm the one who she chose in the end. She makes me feel so..."
Kalego carefully intertwined his fingers with hers so he won't accidentally hurt with his sharp nails. His beloved looks so peaceful when she slept. She trusted him so much that she didn't mind sharing her bed with him.
"I'm going to take her back with me when I return home. I love her so much that I can't stand to be away from her. I don't know what I'll do if I ever lose her."
The dark purple-haired man tenderly kisses his beloved's bare shoulders. He carefully pulled her closer to him. Placing his own right hand on hers and nuzzling her soft hair. Smiling softly as he held her hands while looking forward towards their beautiful future together with a new life that's waiting.
Thank you for reading this, everyone. Kalego has more questions than answers now. The man just wants some closure to end this madness. Sullivan knows but he can't tell since Kalego isn't ready to know the whole truth of what happened to the woman he deeply loved.
