Stars quickly fill the desolate night sky as Kristoff and Sven slowly patrol the streets of Arendelle, looking for any troll brethren unknowingly untouched in the havoc of just a few moments ago. Unexpectedly, a whisper calls Kristoff into the shadows of a nearby building.
"Kristoff!" The desperate whisper.
"Hello?" Kristoff asks the darkness, inching closer to it. Now within a few steps, he can make out the rocky outlines of a troll.
"Kristoff, it's us," the troll says. His name is Soren.
Suddenly, a bunch of other trolls appear from nothing; absent one moment, present the next.
"Whoawhoawhoa, what's going on here?" Kristoff asks in confusion.
"There's… a lot about us you don't know," Soren answers.
"Why are you here?" Kristoff questions.
"We're bringing trollkind back to its former dominance," Soren declares quietly. "We strongly suggest you do what we say if you want to share in that future."
"Are you implying you're going to kill innocent Arendellians?" Kristoff asks.
"Whatever it takes to put us back in power," Soren says.
Kristoff gets an idea. "What do I have to do?" He asks.
"Cast a temporary invisibility spell," Soren answers, showing Kristoff what to do with his hands to become invisible.
Kristoff follows suit, becoming invisible while the other trolls cast their own spells. Soren casts a spell on Sven, making him invisible, as well. They can all see each other, though, but no one can see THEM.
"We're going to wait here until everything dies down," Soren explains to Kristoff. "Once everyone's inside, we'll finally get some good use out of our fire crystals."
"Okay, but where's Pabbie?" Kristoff asks innocently enough.
"He's going to follow behind us with some of the others," Soren illustrates. "They're going to, shall we say, 'magic away' Elsa. Her ice, her black ice, is corrosive and corruptive. It's taking over her heart."
"So she'll freeze to death?" Kristoff inquires, a little concerned for the girl who's like a sister.
"Worse," Soren elucidates. "Her heart will be corrupted. Not her physical heart, but her 'heart' heart. She'll be unstoppable in her hunger to freeze everyone and everything."
"She can be turned," Kristoff says.
"And what if she can't?" Soren responds. "Think rationally. We know this will happen for a fact, since it's happened before. There's nothing new under God's sun. She's not the first Snow Monarch, and she won't be the last, we believe. We've had to deal with one corrupted Snow Queen in the past before. Over four-fifths of us were frozen before Pabbie magicked her to death. She only used black ice once, and it was on us."
"That's no reason to kill THIS one," Kristoff argues.
"Think. Rationally," Soren repeats.
Kristoff sighs. "You're right, you're right. She should be somewhere here in Arendelle. But why are we here, and not out looking for her?"
"This whole run-around, scurry, battle, whatever," Soren says, "is just a diversion to bring Elsa here. Pabbie will be by soon. He'll have the high ground, and we all know from the Legend of Obi-Wan Kenobi what happens when you have the high ground."
"Yeah, but he also won once with the low ground," Kristoff debates.
"True," Soren concedes, "but the high ground, you have to admit, is a better tactical position."
Kristoff is between a rock and a hard place. Either he can try to save Elsa, which might hurt everyone except Elsa, or he can stay quiet and neutral, or he can help the trolls against Elsa. For now, though, he's going to play along with his troll brethren.
"What do you guys make of the banging sounds?" Kristoff asks. "Sounded like gunfire to me."
"Probably," Soren agrees. "We should investigate. First, let's lay low, wait for the crowd to die down some."
/
Anna and Sarah run uphill as fast as they can, for what it's worth going uphill into the mountains at night. They're both tired and out of breath, but know they've got to keep going.
"Have any more potions?" Anna asks between breaths.
"Like, very, very few," Sarah replies. "I don't want us to use any more. Emergencies only."
Anna groans. "Whyyy?"
"I just said so," Sarah says in a tone that shows she's both trying to be nice and voice her annoyance simultaneously. "See any trolls anywhere?"
"Well, seeing as it's nighttime," Anna begins, but doesn't finish the sentence.
"If you hear the trees talking," Sarah informs, "it's probably trolls."
"Wait, what do you mean 'probably'?" Anna asks.
Sarah ignores the question, and Anna shrugs it off. The two keep their upward movement going, hoping to find Pabbie higher up in the mountains. Suddenly, the trees start swaying weirdly and unnaturally.
"Uh, you're seeing this too, right?" Anna checks.
"Yyyah," Sarah confirms. "This isn't you or your energy, is it?"
"I don't think so, but nothing surprises me anymore," Anna says.
The ground beneath them seems to turn into quicksand, and they start sinking very slowly.
"Did not wake up expecting this today," Sarah says. "Also, don't struggle. It'll only make you go down faster."
Anna puts out her arms to balance herself as the ground suddenly reverts to its former state, throwing her and Sarah a few feet into the air before they land with a thud on the ground. Both heads hurt from the impact, and both are kinda dirty, not to mention messed-up hair.
"Okay, whoever's doing this, show yourself!" Anna yells into the night.
Most trees stop swaying, but a few to the right continue as a soft yellow light appears to glow from the other side of them.
"You see that too, right?" Anna asks.
"I'm gonna check it out," Sarah says lowly, for fear of anyone else hearing her. "Watch my six."
As Sarah advances slowly, step by step, for the swaying trees and the yellow light, Anna follows behind, her head swiveling in every direction trying to catch any evildoers. As they pass between the trees, all the surrounding trees quickly move through the earth and fence Anna and Sarah in, trapping them in a circle of close trees. They have only about two feet of space on either side of them.
"Aaand we're trapped in," Anna says.
"I'm so confused," Sarah says confusedly.
Anna rises a few inches off the ground, raising her hands and arms.
"What are you doing?" Sarah asks, tilting her head.
"Check THIS out," Anna responds, spinning in the air as she puts her arms out. All the surrounding trees turn into flowers instantaneously, making a big clearing in the mountains with no yellow light in sight.
"How'd you do that?" Sarah questions, not surprised.
"I… I don't know," Anna says, looking at her hands. "I guess I just needed to. I swear, I felt like I wasn't here. It's like my magic took me over."
"Huh. Weird," Sarah comments.
Suddenly, both girls fall to their knees as their hands are held behind their backs and their heads are held upright. A green aura glows around their knees, hands, and heads.
"Wait, what?" is all Anna can say.
"Don't freak out, Anna!" Sarah yells, freaking out. "It's troll magic! We're being ambushed! I feel like my arms are being—!"
Sarah yells in pain, literally feeling like she's being torn apart. "Help!" She begs the endless , however, isn't hurt. Her eyes turn purple as she breaks free of the aura, rising thirty feet into the air. She comes down fast, striking the ground. Ten trolls suddenly appear, their invisibility spells undone. While four stand where Anna was, six are at Sarah, literally trying to tear her arms off.
"Hey!" Anna yells at the trolls, who all look up in confusement. "That's my sister!"
Anna charges the trolls, who all suddenly disappear again. Her eyes return to normal color as Sarah is released, standing up and trembling.
"Anna, what did you do?" Sarah asks, sounding scared.
"I don't know," Anna responds. "But if those trolls are ambushing us, I'm going to have to kill every last one of them."
"Do it," Sarah says, fearing for her life. "Just preserve Pabbie so we can question him."
"Come out, come out, wherever you are," Anna taunts, her eyes turning purple as she walks around slowly, Sarah trailing her. "I can sense you."
Anna punches the air, and a troll appears where she punched, and it falls over dead.
"What in the world?" Sarah whispers. "Invisibility spells…"
"YOU!" A menacing voice calls behind the girls from the edge of the clearing.
Anna and Sarah slowly turn around. In the moonlight, they see Pabbie. "This flats," Pabbie mutters. "So much for the high ground."
"Just the troll I wanted," Anna remarks.
"Fight me," Pabbie provokes Anna. "Not them. Let them live."
"Great," Anna says sarcastically. "You're trying to ruin my plans. Now you've made me mad."
"You, Sarah," Pabbie says, "if you leave now, I will let you live."
"Actually, I want answers," Sarah denies the chance to run. "
"Yeah, I think I'll do what I want," Anna interrupts, her voice sounding robotic. She puts her hands in front of her and moves them apart. In the mountains and in Arendelle, every troll except Pabbie and those who escaped falls apart into rock piles. Kristoff is in dismay.
"It's happening," Pabbie says fearfully. "Since you became aware of your magic, it's going to escalate and escalate until the world is one giant pile of rubble with you on the top."
"Anna, calm down," Sarah says, forcefully trying to lower Anna's arms.
"Your magic is separate from you and you are the host body," Pabbie explains. "You've got to get control over yourself. Since you became self-aware and learned how to use your power, your power learned how to use YOU. Fight it!"
"No," Anna chuckles. "No. I'm not going to fight it. I'm going to use it, to end you. Sarah felt that you were planning something big. What was it?"
"The end of the spirits," Pabbie answers.
"Your mental energy," Anna comments. "You're lying."
"The end of Arendelle as we know it," Pabbie confesses, "and the end of magic outside of ours."
"There it is," Anna whispers, squinting a little. "Once I'm through with you, I can fix the world. Make it better."
"You won't," Pabbie says. "Your power will take you over. Fight it! It's corrupting you! Don't be like Elsa! Fight your power, and we'll fight Elsa! We'll compromise! I'll let you live, and we'll team up against Elsa together!"
"Now, what good would that do?" Anna asks, intrigued.
"Her power is corrupting her," Pabbie elucidates. "Black ice is emotionally charged with the strongest feelings. When she uses it, her heart darkens. Soon, she'll be a crazed snow queen who will take over the world."
"Something's not right here," Anna says, putting her hand out at Pabbie, raising him a few inches off the ground. "I heard that you said I could defeat Elsa in less than a second. What's really, really going on? Who's got the real power? Me? Elsa?"
"Whoever I don't kill," Pabbie answers. "One of you will not survive the night. My plan is perfect. One or both of you will die, leaving less magic for me to worry about."
"I'm going to kill you," Anna warns.
"You can try," Pabbie says, breaking free of Anna's grasp and becoming invisible.
"Sarah, get out of here," Anna says. "This isn't going to be pretty."
Sarah dashes away, ducking behind the nearest tree and clutching her satchel, ready to use potion if need be.
Anna looks around quickly, trying to sense where Pabbie is, but unable to find him. She essentially uses the Force to grab dirt from the ground, making it zip through the air, trying to find Pabbie. The dirt simply flies through the air, not hitting anything. Suddenly, Anna hears a high-pitched whirring sound, and she loses her balance, yelling in pain as she grabs her head and kneels on the ground for a moment to recover.
Sarah decides to try to get some potion to Anna, running towards her, but she runs into an invisible force-field, falling to the ground and every vial in her satchel breaking on impact as she's knocked unconscious.
Something seems to kick Anna, and she's thrown back to the ground, hitting her head hard as she hangs onto the brink of consciousness. The night appears blurry and the whirring sound is loud, hurting her ears and drowning out any other sound. As much as she hurts, she tries to cry but barely can as she stands up again.
The second she's on her feet, something hits her hard in the back, and she falls face-first into the dirt. She's completely dirty, her hair's a mess, her cheeks are bruised, her head is sore, and there's some blood on her forehead.
She rolls over onto her back, trying to get herself up. All she can do, though, is groan in torment as a green aura surrounds her arms and legs, making them ache. Somewhere behind the whirring sound, she can hear a muffled voice calling her name: "Anna!" She turns her pounding head to see who's coming, but her vision is blurred, and she can't make out the shadowy figure running to kneel down beside her. She thinks she can hear whoever it is ask if she's okay, but she can't tell as she turns her head back, staring at the hazy stars in the sky as she groans.
/
Outside of Anna's living hell, Kristoff is kneeling at her side, trying to get her to say something, ANYTHING.
"Anna!" Kristoff yells, trying to get Anna to hear him above her groans and the whirring sound he can't hear. Only Anna can hear it. "Anna! What happened?!"
Pabbie becomes visible again, glaring at Kristoff.
"Pabbie," Kristoff nods. "Do you have anything to do with this?"
"I have EVERYTHING to do with this," Pabbie answers. "If I hit her physically, she would've been dead by now. But no; I'm using energy blasts. If her magic learns that being in a host body is painful, it will not inhabit one again. At the end of the day, us trolls are who will stand. All magic besides ours must cease to exist."
"Pabbie, why?" Kristoff asks, his voice cracking.
"I just told you," Pabbie says harshly. "I'll give you one chance to leave before I do more."
"What more could you DO?!" Kristoff yells, tears rolling freely down his burning face. "You've all but killed my wife! My best friend!"
"A small price to pay for salvation," Pabbie remarks.
"A small price?!" Kristoff repeats. "She's been groaning and ignoring me for, like, a minute now! You're torturing her! Stop!"
"I will stop if you go kill Elsa," Pabbie bargains.
"Why does it have to be like this?" Kristoff laments. "Do you know where Elsa is?"
"No," Pabbie says, "but you'd better hurry before she has a chance to flee Arendelle."
"Fine," Kristoff agrees to the deal, running down the mountains, calling back, "I'll be back as soon as I can, Anna!" He knows he can't fight Pabbie's power, so he has to compromise, hard as that might be.
/
Once Kristoff is out of sight and out of earshot, Pabbie becomes invisible again as Anna manages to roll over, propping herself up on her fists and elbows. The pain in her head, arms, and legs has only become more tolerable with time; it hasn't subsided one bit. As she gets onto one knee then rises to feet, she's tripped, and she goes right back down to the ground on her back, too weak to groan. Now her back is aching, and she doesn't know what to do. She just lies there, hoping it will all end.
/
A little bit down the mountain, Kristoff is running down as fast as he can when he passes by another person. "Hey!" He calls to stop whoever is running. The person turns around, and Kristoff can see that it's Hans.
"Hans?" Kristoff reacts in confusion.
"Kristoff," Hans nods to greet.
"Where are you going?" Kristoff asks.
"You don't need to know," Hans replies. "Where are YOU going?"
"You don't need to know that, either," Kristoff answers.
"Separate ways?" Hans asks.
"... Yeah," Kristoff agrees, heading further down the mountain while Hans heads up.
Within moments, Hans reaches the clearing where he sees Anna on the ground. She doesn't even have the strength to groan anymore, and just lies there, aching.
"Hey!" Hans calls as water drips from his hands. "Are you Anna?"
No response.
Hans runs ahead, checking out exactly who is up ahead. When he sees that it's Anna, the water from his hands turns into embers as he shoots fire at Anna. The fire suddenly turns, and is absorbed by nothingness.
"Invisibility," Hans chuckles. "Gotta hand it to you, Pabbie. Gotta hand it to you."
"Why exactly are you here?" Pabbie asks, coming into sight from invisibility.
"To kill Anna," Hans says, not heard by Anna because of the whirring.
"Why?" Pabbie questions. "Is it for revenge?"
"Not this time," Hans answers. "Anyone associated with Elsa must be killed. I can't have magic in my kingdom. We've seen what it does to people."
"Perhaps you'd be interested in a truce, then," Pabbie offers as he and Hans inhumanely discuss business while Anna suffers just feet away from them.
"What are you thinking?" Hans asks, sitting down on rocks that come out from the ground for him.
"You leave us alone, we leave you alone," Pabbie proposes. "Us trolls keep our magic to ourselves. You keep your spiritual magic to yourself."
"Deal," Hans accepts.
As Hans sits on the rocks doing nothing, the wind blows loudly, whistling across the mountains as Pabbie's left arm literally falls off.
"What are you doing?!" Pabbie yells desperately, becoming invisible but not moving. His right arm falls off.
"Using the wind," Hans answers, sighing proudly. "Tearing you apart. All warfare is based on deception. And you, sir, just fell victim to it. The illusion of trust. I gotta get magic out of my new kingdom, for the good of all."
Pabbie becomes visible for just long enough to be seen alive for one more second before the wind flows through his body, tearing him apart into rocks of all sizes. Pabbie is dead.
Hans looks down at his hands. "Maybe I am the fifth spirit," he comments sarcastically, joking. "Thank you, guys," he says to seemingly no one. "I really appreciate it, I really do."
Hans kneels down by Anna who glances into his fiery, ill-wishing eyes. She can tell it's him by proximity, but he's blurry to her. None of the pain has left her; she still feels it all. She feels like she's in hell as her muscles' pain is mixed with a burning sensation.
"Please," Anna whispers, "save me."
Hans grabs Anna's neck and raises her into the air, her arms and legs dangling helplessly as she chokes.
"I want to enjoy this," Hans whispers harshly as he smiles at himself. "I've won."
"Why?" Anna is barely able to ask, now grabbing Hans's hand to try to peel him off. She didn't even hear his last comments.
"HEY!" Someone calls behind Hans.
Hans turns around, dropping Anna to the ground. Because of the way she was held, she lands on her feet, but in her weakness, her feet go out from under her, and the back of her head is the first thing to hit the ground before her elbows.
"Who's there?" Hans asks calmly.
A beam of black ice flies at Hans. He shoots fire from his hands to meet it, easily ending that assault.
"Let her go!" Elsa commands Hans, knowing it probably won't work as she charges him.
"I've got you both here, this is great!" Hans exclaims, laughing at himself. "You know, this isn't personal, it's not revenge…"
Elsa shoots black ice at Hans again, but he uses the wind to turn it around at Elsa, who ducks to avoid it as it crashes into a tree.
"It's for the good of Arendelle," Hans finishes as Elsa shoots black ice at him again. He brings rocks out from the ground to block it.
Again, Elsa shoots black ice, but Hans uses water from his hands to stop it.
As Elsa gets close, shooting black ice in rapid fire, Hans uses actual fire to meet each and every shot. A shot a second, alternating hands, shooting ice to no avail. Once she gets within a few feet of Hans, Elsa's wrists are grabbed.
"Know when you're beat," Hans says, using wind to hold fire around Elsa's hands to render her black ice useless.
"You can do what you want to me," Elsa cries, knowing her defeat, "just let Anna live!"
Anna actually hears this, and she tilts her head to see what's going on.
Hans throws Elsa forcefully on the ground, not directly answering her question. "Don't worry," he says. "I'll make this over quickly." He reaches into the ground, his hand passing through the surface, and he grabs a large, smooth rock and throws it at Elsa's head. She doesn't bleed, but it's forceful.
Hans uses the wind to bring the rock back to him, and he throws it again. Elsa grunts as she's hit, and Hans leaves after this second hit. "That'll do it," he says to himself.
Anna musters all the strength she can and crawls over to Elsa, laying down next to her sister. Anna's sight is returning, and she can see that Elsa's forehead is severely bruised.
"Anna, tell me one thing," Elsa says, hardly able to speak as her head HURTS. "Are we good?"
"We're good," Anna affirms, crying.
As Anna reaches to take Elsa's hand in hers, Elsa's eyes shut for the last time. She's dead.
Anna can't believe it. All this, and that's it. Elsa's gone. Really gone. The pain of losing Elsa makes her physical pain feel like a pinch. All Anna can do is lie on the ground and cry.
/
A long, painful night passes. The entire time, Anna never let go of Elsa. As her physical pain withdrew as the hours passed, the mental pain kept getting worse. Her sister's gone.
Her other sister, however, is still unconscious. Sarah laid where she was knocked down for the entirety of the night, untouched and unmoved since the run-in.
Kristoff spent the night searching Arendelle for Elsa to no avail, crazed in his obsession to save Anna. Knowing Pabbie's power but not knowing he was dead, he looked until sunrise before going back into the mountains, taking Olaf and Sven with him.
When Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven arrive, they see footprints made from black ice on the ground from where Elsa came out of the dark. Kristoff sees Anna, and her face is completely empty of any emotion. She's dirty, messy, and there's still blood on her forehead, and her hand is still in Elsa's.
"Anna!" Kristoff exclaims, running over to Anna and getting down by her to prop her up. "Are you okay? What happened? Is Elsa okay? Or Sarah?"
Anna's hand falls lifelessly from Elsa's when she's moved by Kristoff. "Elsa's gone," Anna says weakly, her voice cracking not from sorrow, but because it's been hours since she talked.
"There's gotta be some healing potion or something to fix her, right?" Kristoff wonders.
"No," Anna denies. "She tried to save me. She told Hans to do whatever he wanted to her, as long as he left me alone."
"I'll kill Hans," Kristoff says through clenched teeth.
"Calm down," Anna whispers. "Don't."
"She was like a sister to me," Kristoff whispers.
"She WAS my sister," Anna whispers back.
Both are silent for a minute, absorbing the impact of their current place.
For Kristoff, Elsa's death is fresh, and he tries not to cry to be strong for Anna. He hugs her tightly, not wanting to ever let her go.
However, for Anna, she doesn't feel that emotion about it anymore after long hours of lying there next to Elsa, contemplating her sister's death and all she meant to her. She made her peace with it. Anna looks up after a moment and puts her hand on the other side of Kristoff's face, bringing him to herself so she could kiss him.
Olaf finds a couple necklaces buried under a pile of rocks. Holding them up, he asks, "these mean anything?"
"Anna, you wouldn't have happened to have killed Pabbie, would you?" Kristoff asks.
"No…" Anna denounces.
"All the other trolls in Arendelle fell to stone, too," Kristoff comments. "There's gotta be more of 'em out there."
Sven nudges Sarah, trying to wake her but failing.
"Is she dead, too?" Kristoff asks Anna.
"I don't know," Anna says hopelessly. "Go find out. I'm fine."
Kristoff gently puts Anna back down and goes to Sarah, feeling her wrist for a pulse. "She's alive," he reports to Anna, "and she looks like she's sleeping."
"Good," Anna says. Changing the subject, she asks Kristoff, "where do we go now?"
"The Enchanted Forest," Kristoff replies. "As the fifth spirit, you should learn to harness—"
Anna reaches out her hand, trying to turn a far tree into a rose, but failing. This gets Kristoff's attention and he stops talking.
"It's gone," Anna sighs. "My power's gone."
"It's what" Kristoff responds, no punctuation needed for effect.
"My power's just… gone," Anna repeats. "I don't know why."
Anna's power is gone. Her sister is gone. There's nothing she can do to reverse it. She feels so helpless, so alone, even with Kristoff there. She feels abandoned. She would give anything just to see Elsa again, anything to let Elsa shut her out again, anything to be struck by Elsa's power again. Anything to do anything with Elsa again. But Elsa's gone. She's dead. And the pain of knowing that is the worst pain Anna ever felt, but the best pain, if there is such a thing, is knowing Elsa died holding her hand.

In a certain clearing in the mountains, a graveside service is held for Elsa. The attendees are very few, as almost no one wanted to attend the funeral after Elsa's doings were unearthed. Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, Sven, Sarah, some castle workers, and some members of the upper class are in attendance as Elsa is buried next to her mother. No eye is left dry, though there is a hope for where her soul went.
Once the service is over, Elsa has been buried, the gravestone placed, and everyone left, Anna sits down by the headstone, leaning against it. She cries, not over Elsa's death itself or the fact she won't see Elsa again, but just that Elsa isn't with her right then and there. "Elsa," she says through her tears, "the next time it snows, I'm going to build us the best snowman ever."
In the back, out of sight from Anna behind a rock, Erik watches, his face wearing a look not of sorrow or mourning, but of a readiness for the future. "You're just one," he says to Elsa, unheard by anybody. "There were before you, and there will be after you."
FOUR MONTHS LATER
Sarah has gone to Germany and come back, stocked with new potions, though she is very choosy about who gets what potion. She cites a limited supply. She lives in the castle with her own wing.
Kristoff and Anna live in the Enchanted Forest, despite the fact that Anna's powers are gone. It's the only place with other people where they can feel loved and appreciated. Sven is with them.
Olaf has his own little hut in the Enchanted Forest, where he gives advice to anyone who might need it. How he got that job is a story for another day.
Dag is making a name for himself in the Southern Isles as a crime boss, organizing heists. That, too, is a story for another day.
Hans has been going over the inventory of what the castle possesses, as well as the history of past spending, trying to figure out where to cut costs and what he can go without.
"Wow," he says to himself, going over some papers. "That's a lot of money on chocolate and dresses. Anna, you really treated yourself."
As Hans looks at the lists of the clothes Anna bought, Sarah walks in.
"How you doing?" She asks Hans, looking over his shoulder at the papers.
"I'm good, but Anna was wayyy better," Hans jokes. "I mean, look at these prices!"
"Oh, no," Sarah whispers to herself, looking at the list. At normal volume, she tells her adopted brother, "I gotta go. Emergently."
"You good?" Hans checks.
"I'm fine, I just gotta go," Sarah says. "I've got someone I gotta talk to. You know, I'm a royal now, so I've got a schedule…"
"Ah, right, right, right," Hans replies quickly. "You do you. I'll see you later."
Sarah dashes out of the castle, going to a stable and getting on her horse, a brown one, and riding it north, into the mountains.
/
In the Enchanted Forest, as the evening sun breaks upon the encampment, Kristoff is getting a fire started. Bruni watches.
"No, Bruni," Kristoff chuckles, "I can do this myself."
Kristoff cannot do this himself.
Bruni starts the fire as Kristoff puts a pot over it. "Dinner's on," he says to himself.
"KRISTOFF!" Anna exclaims excitedly, wrapping her arms around Kristoff from behind.
"Anna! You okay?" Kristoff asks, turning around as Anna grabs both his hands.
"I hope so," she replies. "Guess what?"
"I am out of guesses," Kristoff jokes.
Anna gets on her tiptoes to be at Kristoff's height, putting her forehead on his, whispering to him, "you're going to be a father."
The biggest smile spreads on Kristoff's face. "And you're going to be a mother," is all he can think of to say, speechless and trying to keep from crying in his ecstasy."What do you want to name him?" Anna asks quietly, smiling like Kristoff is. They haven't moved.
"How do you know it's a 'him'?" Kristoff responds.
"I have a feeling," Anna replies.
"No, it's going to be a girl," Kristoff quibbles. "You'll see."
"Hey, who's the mother?" Anna responds. "And who, then, has mother's intuition?"
Kristoff chuckles, then kisses Anna. "I can't wait," he says.
"Me neither."

In an icy cave, Erik is on a sort of ice-stage, addressing dozens of other people, all of whom appear to be humans, but all have bright blue eyes.
"My fellow Jotun," Erik discourses, "Elsa is dead."
The crowd murmurs, debating to itself what the ramifications are.
"She fell for my 'love' too easily," Erik continues, "But she was killed by king Hans of Arendelle.
"We all know the rules. Once one host of this power is dead, it will find a new one to curse. First, someone must be cursed. The power cannot simply reside in someone."Pabbie is dead. A new leader will choose who is cursed.
"Elsa used black ice on multiple occasions. All previous users used it only once. It will be difficult to control. Still, though, we will have a new ruler. Ahtohallan forever. Jotun forever. Ice forever!"
