This note is to Luke Rooney, who reviewed this story today. He pretty much said that I kind of destroyed the main character's relationship for no reason and that things could have been better towards the ending (at least that's what I got from the review).
While I was reading your review I felt like I really should answer it, but since you weren't logged in, I couldn't.
So I decided to post this chap to reply to your review.
I completely understand what you mean and in a way I agree with you.
When I first started this story I was 19 and back then I was sure it would have a happy ending.
Also, I write out of order, so by the time I was 20 I had already written the last chapter of the story even though I had no idea how they would get there.
The thing is I've always tried to be true to the characters and write them the way I really believe they would behave in those situations. However, things in the story - the situations that happened in it - went a different way than I had first planned and to write a happy ending after everything they put each other through just didn't make any sense. That's not what those characters would do.
Anyway, about three months ago I started to rewrite this story and right now I'm almost half way done. I believe it's a lot better and things got different halfway through and because of that they can have a happier ending.
