Zelda looked around her now hundred year old room. The bed had collapsed on itself, the stair case was practically missing, the wardrobe had rotted away, and her desks had all but fell apart. Zelda couldn't help but feel her face fall. She hadn't expected much at all but actually seeing it was something else.

She walked over to her desk were she saw burned unreadable papers, old pieces of books, and other unrecognizable things that had been left there a hundred years prior. One book did remain open and readable however.

"Link... Were you in here before hand in one of your excursions here?" Zelda asked, picking up the dirty diary, dusting it off.

"Yes, I had to in order to gain some of my memory. There was also a really good bow on the fireplace I took, really useful. Why?" Link asked, standing at the doorway of the bridge that lead to the study. Zelda squinted at him, giving Link a look.

"What?" He asked, returning a look of confusion.

"Did you read my diary?" She asked in slow voice. Link's face suddenly turned to fear.

"I mean, I did... Maybe. But, okay in my defense, I didn't have my memories all the way and any information helped get them back!" Link said, cowering from Zelda's threatening glare. Zelda walked up to him, Link now closing his eyes as she got closer, and forcefully pushed the book into his chest. He opened his eyes, and looked down, grabbing the book.

"Put it in the Slate, and DON'T read it again." Zelda huffed, as she walked down the bridge towards her study, leaving Link holding the book.

Zelda walked into the study and looked around. Still nothing to scavengable, though her study journal had survived as well.

'How did these manage to stay in tact?' She wondered and she took the journal and dusted it off.

"Link, come here and put this in the Sheikah Slate as well." She said, holding the book out behind her. After a second she felt the book slip from her grasp, and heard the Sheikah Slate beep on. Zelda went back to studying the room.

"Oh! A Silent Princess! Look Link one grew here!" She said excitedly, crouching down at the Silent Princesses level. "Remember? I told you we haven't been able to domestically grow them yet! Yet here one is growing in the absolute worst case conditions! This doesn't make any logical sense at all! It's extraordinary!"

"There are Silent Princesses growing in the forest. Mostly around were the Master Sword was kept." Link said scratching his chin.

"Incredible! I do remember seeing that from the tower! It was vague but I remember seeing quite a lot of them!" Zelda said, beaming.

Link bent down next to Zelda and picked up the flower from the ground.

"Link! What are you doing? It's rare to grow these! You can't just pluck them up like that!" Zelda said, frustrated at Link's uncaring nature. However Link had a comeback.

"Actually Zelda, this is the third one to grow in that exact spot. I've got quite a few of these flowers specifically from this spot. It keeps growing." Link said casually, putting the flower in the Sheikah Slate.

"What? That shouldn't be possible! They can't grow at that kind of rate you've only been awake for at less than a year! And the chances of just one of them, much less three growing here are absolutely preposterous!" Zelda said, her thoughts zooming through every idea she could come up with as to why this phenomenon was occuring.

"Actually I have an idea as to why, I've thought about it for awhile when I was alone actually." Link said, now looking at more of the Silent Princess he had in inventory of the Sheikah Slate. That took Zelda back a bit.

"You have a theory?" Zelda asked, blinking a few times. "You've never been one to learn about stuff like this..."

Link furrowed his eyebrows.

"What? I can come up with ideas too you know." Link said.

"I didn't say you couldn't Link, you just never brought it up beforehand when I talked about this stuff to you." Zelda said. Link looked up, supposedly thinking back to before the Calamity when Zelda and him would spend time together.

"I guess that's true huh. I guess being out here learning about things have changed me a bit. Being out here you have to learn to survive, especially when your on the road and doing all the things I do. Cooking, elixir mixing, what plants you can and can't eat, what gives you benefits and augments abilities-"

"Hey I told you that!" Zelda said giggling. Link laughed.

"I guess even with my memory gone, your words stuck with me. Experimenting and learning what does what and why got fun. And yes, it did result in the dubious food."

Link had apparently caught on the the teasing Zelda was about to give him.

"Fine fine, I won't mention your disastrous dishes. But tell me! What's your theory on the Silent Flowers?" Zelda asked, scooting closer to Link.

"Well from what I saw, the flower mainly grows in two places that I visit a lot. Here at the castle in your room, and the Master Sword pedestal with the great Deku Tree. The only place in the castle this really grows is your room, the place you spent the most time in. The only place in the forest the flower grows is next to the sword. No where else in the forest, right?" Link asked Zelda, ensuring she was understanding. Zelda nodded vigorously.

"Well, you've supposedly got the blood of the Goddess, and the divine Sealing Power. The Sword has its own divine Sealing Power... So what if it's not the conditions of the regular soil that doesn't make it grow, but its-"

"Reliance and connection on the Sealing Power!" Zelda finished looking at Link in the eyes. "Being near the sword, and being in one place for the longest, my studies! Link you're brilliant! We should do some studies and try and verify that! We can get the sword and keep it in one spot and then I can stay in a place and- What are you smiling at?"

Link shook his head, still smiling.

"It's just good to have you back Zelda."

Zelda felt a burn on her cheeks before blinking a few times. She didn't expect that response.

"Why, um, th-thank you Link... it's good to be back." Zelda said a bit flustered. They stared at each other for a second before Zelda stood up, unable to contain her blush, not wanting Link to see.

"Okay! I think we've got everything we need from this room. We've already explored the rest of the castle and most importantly, gotten the books from the library that we needed..."

"Though they probably outdated by a bit." Link chuckled, standing up as well.

"Though, Zelda..." Link suddenly became a bit quieter.

"Yes Link, what is it?" Zelda asked turning back towards him.

"There's something I want to show you before we leave."

"Link, why are we back in the Library, we were just here, and why are we just standing in front of this bookcase?" Zelda asked. Link pulled out the Sheikah Slate and opened the ruin to Magnesis. Link took a deep breath. This was the right thing to do.

He shot the Magnesis Rune at the steel book case and stepped back, forcing the bookcase to follow suit.

"What? When was this put here? I don't remember this being here... What is this Link?"

"The Kings private study. I found it when snooping around the castle. I think you should read the diary..." Link said solemnly.

"Diary?" Zelda asked, walking into the small room. "My father didn't have a dia-"

Zelda stopped when she noticed the small book on the desk. She slowly walked to it, Link following behind but at a still reasonable distance. This was her moment. Link watched as she picked up the diary, flipping through the pages slowly. After a few minutes, Zelda read the last page. Link noticed the few tears fall into the books last page.

Link had done something he never dared to do, even when they were as close as they were before the Calamity. Link took a breath, and placed a gentle touch on the Princesses back. Zelda gave a slight jolt and looked back at Link with tears in her eyes.

"Link.. I... Thank you. You really have a habit of reading others diaries don't you?" She chuckled, wiping tears from her eyes.

"Habits are hard to break... Can't help it..." Link smiled at her. "Ready to go?"

"Yes, though, I'll hold on to this for a bit," She closed the book and pushed it towards her chest.

"Let us be off, Link."
