Zelda woke up with a start. She raised herself up into a sitting position and looked to her side. Link was nowhere to be seen. She would murder him if he were sleeping outside again. She got up to look for Link under the tree when she realized just how sore she was. And still dirty.

She walked down the stairs and outside to see Link under the tree, however this time he was awake, and he was seemingly crafting a fairly large object. Some wooden poles and a bit of cloth in some areas.

"Link, don't tell me you slept out here again..." Zelda said, stretching her sore body. Link laughed a bit.

"No, no, I didn't promise. Though now that you're up its time for you to practice swimming."

"Excuse me? Did you say swimming?" Zelda asked. Where in the world would she practice swimming?

Link found a good place to stop on his project, got up, and beckoned Zelda to follow him. A little distance away next to the bigger tree in Links open field was a deep pond. Link and Zelda stared at the pond.

"You want me to swim in this?" Zelda asked. "Link, we're out in the open right next to the village, I can't remove my clothes to practice here..."

"Who said anything about removing clothing?" Link asked staring at her. "If your running or travelling swiftly you'll be swimming with your clothes on most of the time. Especially around Zora's Domain."

Zelda sighed. She wasn't to surprised about this after the climbing practice. She needed a bath and to wash her clothes anyway. Zelda stepped forward, still fully clothed, stepping into the water before looking back at Link.

"Are you not joining me?" She asked, hoping that he would so she wouldn't just be in a pond alone. Link shook his own.

"Sorry Princess. I'm already prepping your training for tomorrow." Link said happily and worriedly at the same time. If that was possible.

"Is it sword training!?" Zelda said excitedly. Link chuckled and shook his head again.

"Sorry Zelda, that won't be for a while. Traversing the world is more important that sword training. Especially if you have me around. Now before you jump in let me go grab what I'm doing so I can watch you."

"What? I'm not a kid Link!" Zelda said irritably. Link sighed at her.

"Zelda, stamina is a thing. If you get to tired and drown then I have to be there. That's not even me being overprotective. I've almost drowned a few times... Thankfully I had stamina food on me." Link said, walking away with his hands in his pockets.

Zelda puffed her cheeks and sat on the ground, kicking the water with her feet. It wasn't long before Link had returned with the same craft he was working on.

"Alright. Go." Link said, starting to fumble with his creation again. Zelda nodded and stood, slowly walking into the water. Link noticed and stopped fumbling for a second.

"Nope. Jump."

"Directly in!?" Zelda called, turning back to Link, now knee deep in the water. Link nodded once.

"If you don't I might have to come and push you in." Link said starting to work again, with a cheeky smile on his face. Zelda squinted her eyes.

"You wouldn't. You're too knightly."

"I'll classify it under Princesses orders to be trained. If I am to train you, I'll do it right. Now get to swimming!" Link said, still crafting away.

Zelda stared at her knight. She couldn't tell if she prefered or despised this new Link. He was more casual, more open to letting her do things while still finding a way to be over protective. She sighed. Much better than the Silent Knight of before.

Zelda shook her arms and brought her fingers to her nose. She closed her eyes and jumped into the pond. It was much deeper than she thought. She raised her head back to the surface of the water, gasping for air as she bobbled. The water was cold and dirtier than the water in the castle. She spit out a piece of lily pad.

"How long do I need to tread in here for?" Zelda called from the water. Link stopped working and thought about that for a second.

"Until you feel you can't anymore. You need to learn your own body. When you feel your stamina is about to run out then get out. But this is training. You wanna get stronger so you can keep up. Keep that in mind while you think you're too tired. And make sure you swim around a little bit too."

Zelda sighed and swam around a bit. The water was starting to warm up, though it was uncomfortable to swim in her clothing. Zelda started swimming left and right, treading and diving every now and then before her arms started feeling heavy. Her legs suddenly felt like lead/ She was having a hard time staying above water...

"Okay Zelda come on out, I see you fighting to stay above water." Link called up without stopping his crafting. Zelda emerged from the pool and laid in the grass next to Link.

"Rest for a bit an hop back in alright?" Link said. Zelda nodded without arguing. What else had she expected at this point?

The next few weeks had been grueling for Zelda under Link's training. Climb, swim, climb, swim, climb, swim... Over the next few days Zelda had started to get the hang of it. She was climbing trees with ease, picking her own apples, and could tread water for hours. Link, watched with pride, however a wight filled him. She would eventually have to practice in the real wild...

"Link! Come on! Show me something new!" Zelda called down on morning, sitting on top of a tree branch in the largest tree in Links field. Link looked up and chuckled.

"Climbing for fun now are we?" He asked cheerfully.

"Link!"

"Alright alright then, lets try something new. Come on down." Link called up. Zelda eagerly climbed down the tree and followed Link to the edge of the cliff of the field.

"Alright. You see down there?" Link asked as he pointed. Zelda looked down.

"Link there's nothing down there." Zelda said simply before turning to Link and seeing a glider in his arms. Zelda squealed in delight.

"A paraglider! Link that looks so fun! Let's do it right now!" Zelda said jumping up and down. Link looked somewhat confused.

"I thought you'd look at me as if I were crazy." Link said. Zelda shook her head vigorously.

"You used to do this all the time when we travelled and you never let me! Come on lets go!" Zelda said. "I already know how to use it. Did you make this yourself? Is this what you've been working on?

Link nodded as he went back to his Sheikah Slate.

"Alright then. Follow me Link said, grabbing his own and jumping off the cliff. Zelda followed eagerly jumping after him. The wind blew through her hair as she glided to the ground. The two spiraled down the cliff. Zelda laughed and cheered as she made her way down. She felt so... free...

Zelda and Link landed at the base. Zelda did a cute little dance before hugging Link once again.

"Link! That was amazing! I wanna do it again sometime! Lets do it again!" She said excitedly. Link laughed.

"Absolutely. But the next part of your training starts right here." Link said, smiling. Zelda gave him a confused look, though the smile of excitement remained on her face.

"Really? What are we doing down here?" Zelda asked, as Link took her paraglider to put back in the Slate.

"You go home. However you'll be climbing right back up the way we came..." Link pointed up the cliff. Zelda blinked a few times looking upwards.

"Link you can't be serious-" She started, however when she turned to face Link, all she saw was the remains of blue Sheikah tech lights. That arse...

Zelda looked back up at the cliff. She could do this. She climbed the tree easy. This was a small cliff anyway. Link has done much more.

Zelda took a breath, jumped in place a few times before she eagerly jumped onto the rocks and started climbing up.
