Okay so I can officially say that it has been a Long time since I have written but I will try to make it up to you with faster updates. so without further ado, let's continue with the story.

Klaus and Elijah hastened their footsteps as they tried to find Elena.

" We should head south, towards the water," Elijah said looking around.

" You seem quite determined to find the little wolf," Klaus observed although he lowered his pace a little.

" If I am moving too fast for you Niklaus. You are welcome to wait in the car." Elijah said irritated," Do be certain to leave the windows down."

" Ah! so I have touched a nerve," Klaus mocked although not with an air of ease," You were never one to resist a pretty face especially not that face."

Elijah stopped in his tracks and Klaus imitated his actions, his anger and furious expressions showing. Though he continued speaking," perhaps this is why you have been barking orders since your returns hoping to impress Elena by assuming the role of the family patriarch and make her forget her precious Salvatores whom she is still hopelessly in love with."

" If you want to insist on treating her first as blood back and then as a walking incubator, then that's your mistake. Elijah said, turning around the anger seeping into his voice as he narrowed his eyes, the expression was one that could inspire fear into the hearts of great men, but Klaus met his brother's gaze with an equally heated one of his own before his eyes widened just a fraction, only a fraction but Elijah noticed,

" Have you found her scent?" he asked,

" No, but I have found Tyler's." the hybrid replied before vamping off and Elijah followed.

" I don't understand, Tyler and Elena were friends, she had photos of him back at her home. Why would your little hybrid sidekick want to hurt Elena?" Elijah asked.

" He wants revenge because I went after his girl," Klaus replied as they both continued walking hoping to pinpoint the exact location of the scent that Klaus had picked up.

" Why do I suspect that was the least of your offenses?"

" Back when I had the means to sire hybrids before Elena disappeared out of thin air, he was my first although I didn't give him much choice in that matter. He was loyal in the beginning but he grew insubordinate and turned my other hybrids against me. I couldn't have that so I massacred the lot of them. Tyler ran like a coward before I could finish him off." Klaus said with disappointment. Elijah did not look impressed.

" Anything else that you would like to share."

" Well, there was this business with his mum."

" You killed his mother wonderful,"

" He needed to be taught a lesson."

" Well, congratulations brother it is because of you that now Elena and the two kids, your babies she carries will be dead."

" Ah so you do care about her then, go on then. have at it brother, save her be her knight in shining armor as she always sees you to be, protect her from your bastard monstrous brother. Have what spoils you can. I have sampled what she has to offer and let me tell you she is exquisite." Klaus said his tone taunting but his eyes a masked expression of cold, vile fury.

" Niklaus so help me," Elijah began trying and failing to keep himself control, but he was interrupted as Klaus removed his hand and raised a finger to his face,

" Enough," he said his anger coming out, despite his own anger Elijah looked mildly amused.

" I will kill Tyler Lockwood myself." Klaus continued before whisking away and the two original brothers parted ways.

Elena bends her head downwards, she was not feeling very good. After snapping Tyler's neck with the help of mysterious abilities no doubt due to the babies in her womb, the first thing that she had done was to spit out all of the wolfsbanes that she could and then rinsing her mouth. Tyler's phone had been in his pocket when he had tried to kill her and it was with its help that she had decided to call Elijah before realizing that she did not know his number. Her safest bet then was to call Caroline, out of all of her friends she most assuredly must have had Klaus's number. Now she could just hope that they could come soon.

Just as she thought that she felt a hand on her back. Her body tensed before loosening up again as Elijah's voice flooded her senses.

" Here drink," he said putting a glass to her lips and she drank greedily and thankfully. The liquid despite its bitter taste worked immediately and Elena got up one of her hands resting in Elijah's as she took a few deep breaths before embracing him.

" You cannot believe the crappy day that I am having," she said.

" Let me take you home," he said. Elena looked around and said,

" Before that Elijah, I think there is something you need to know about the twins,... both of them," Elena said meeting his eyes.

"Come out, Elena! Don't make this any harder than this has to be. Give up now and I promise I'll end it quickly."

Klaus' eyes narrow to slits as he watches the boy he thought he'd never see again call out to the mother of his children in the woods. He knows she's not here, caught her scent not long ago going in the opposite direction — where, Klaus imagines, Elijah is. For now, he's not too bothered. He and Tyler Lockwood have some reckoning to do and he is glad that Elena is not around to beg for his sodden life again. Tyler will find he picked a very bad time to stop by for a visit. Klaus is not feeling very charitable at the moment.

It's sad, really. Tyler was his first. Klaus had big plans for him, was willing to groom Tyler into greatness. Make him an apprentice, teach him everything he knows. Klaus was even pleasantly surprised when he managed to break the sire bond. It was not ideal, but it showed great character, which was something he could appreciate, even if it turned out to be a terrible inconvenience. Alas, he was mistaken about Tyler's dispositions; he turned out to be no more than a petty child with no vision. Such a disappointment.

Klaus would let him live if anything than for sentimental reasons. If he'd been as smart as Klaus once thought he was, he'd never cross his path again, would make sure to always run in the opposite direction. But revenge eats at him, poor lad.

Well, no matter. Klaus will grant him his death wish.

"Quite an offer," he finally said revealing himself. "Though not one I'll be extending to you."

Tyler heard Klaus's voice froze for a few seconds before he turned around. He took a fighting stance and a few careful steps back like the coward that he is. Klaus could actually hear his heartbeat picking up.

" Hello, Tyler. You look well " Klaus began his talking with that of normal greeting between friends, bleeding irony before he changed his tune," I aim to change that."

Klaus walked with casual steps towards Tyler who had not yet changed his fighting stance truly aware of the danger in front of him.

"Threatening a pregnant girl in order to exact revenge against me. I never expected you to sink so low. I admit I am impressed " Klaus said, by this time he had reached in front of Tyler who quickly moved away still ready to pounce and ready to fight.

"I used to hang out with you. I guess something must've rubbed off," Tyler snarled

Klaus chuckled, shaking his head. " What do you think Caroline would say if she saw what you become? Harming and trying to kill her best friend. You know she called me today to tell me where to find Elena. Maybe I will ask her what she thinks of you myself after I tell her of your demise."

" Whatever happens to me Caroline is never gonna stop hating you. And as for Elena, my love, my care, and my concern for her died the second she betrayed me when she betrayed all of us by sleeping with you. Her own family's murderer. Despite all that she has done Elena still hates you," Tyler said with a laugh, if he was going to die then he will have the last laugh.

" You know in our conversation earlier..." Tyler continued

" Is that what you call it?" Klaus interrupted,

"... I called you a monster and she agreed that you were one. I bet the only reason she is staying here is because of Elijah, maybe your kids will call him their father. I mean he is better than any bastard"

It was the last few sentences that sealed Tyler's fate. In a blink, Klaus is on Tyler, his fist connecting straight with his jaw. Klaus hears a crack as the other man is sent flying in the air, hitting a tree and dropping to the ground like a dead weight.

"Come on, mate!" he screams "Give it a bit more effort! I want to enjoy myself."

Before Klaus can charge a second time, Tyler scurries to his feet and, just as he's done every other time, he runs.

Good thing Klaus is in just the right mood for a hunt.

" Klaus must have known that is the only explanation, even if he didn't then you cannot tell me that this idea would not have occurred to him. Like in order to make werewolves hybrids he needed my blood and his so someone with both of our blood might be able to do the trick. And it did. " Elena said as she paced the forest floor as I explained to Elijah everything that Tyler had said to her.

Elijah remained silent throughout the whole explanation. "I should take you home." That was all that he said.

Elena gave a humorless chuckle," Home, home to where. I have no home, that was the reason I came to New Orleans to have a home."

"Regardless of my brother's intentions, mine remains the same. I said that I would protect you, even, if need be, from Klaus himself. You have a home, a home with us. I will be there in that home." Elijah replied.

" Home Elijah, you mean that building in which Marcel knows that I live the place where all of you live. I am a werewolf he will kill me and I don't fancy dying."

" You need not worry or fear Marcellus he will not dare touch you. Although from how he acted he was quite concerned about you. Do you by any chance know him?"

" No, I don't."

" Well, then that's a mystery for another day. What did Tyler say about your son?"

" Tyler said that the witches have been... talking. They were talking about some all-powerful being born. Tyler said that while witches are servants of nature the child that I carry is nature himself."

" So nothing except the nature part that we didn't already know." There was a silence between them.

" Look, Elijah. It's okay I will take care of myself. I have been taking care of myself for a long time. I will figure something out." With that Elena left and Elijah put his hand on his forehead.

"Is this your idea of revenge, Tyler? A grueling game of hide-and-seek." Klaus said as he searched for his hybrid

Tyler has been running from him for almost an hour now, avoiding confrontation like the plague. Like that will save him.

As much as Klaus enjoys the hunt, he's starting to get bored. Every time he comes close, Tyler dashes off in the opposite direction, hiding in the middle of what he assumes is the werewolf settlement Sabine mentioned.

As soon as he said that Klaus heard a nice and he is about to turn before a stake embeds itself in between his ribs. Klaus screams ut in pain before turning around the stake still in his chest and smacking Tyler across the face before pulling the stake out of his body. Tyler is thrown in the other direction as the stake clatters to the ground. Both of the two hybrids readied their fighting stance as Klaus allowed his eyes to turn golden and veins to appear on his face,

" Let's end this shall we."

Tyler charged towards him again, golden eyes and fangs out as they are both sent to the ground, fighting. Tyler has grown stronger than Klaus remembers, but he's still too slow. Tyler gain the upper hand for a few seconds and punched to original on the face who in return wraps his hand around his throat and snarls with a dangerous glint in his eyes,

" How dare you?"

"Oh! I am just getting started." Tyler replied. Klaus didn't see the second stake, though, until it was firmly driven into his side.

He growled, tasting his own blood in his mouth. "You have grown bloodthirsty," he spat out. "Perhaps it's best your mother didn't live to see you like this." Klaus laughed at the end.

Something dark crosses Tyler's face, a brand new kind of rage rising inside of him as he started throwing punches again. Klaus felt his nose shattering as he grunted loudly in annoyance.

He's had enough of this kid's play.

He grabbed hold of Tyler's arm and twisted it, breaking his wrist and pushing him off. He then pulled the stake out of his side and drove it straight into the hybrid's chest.

Tyler gasped a low whimper escaping his lips. Klaus stood to his feet and spat out blood as he watched the other man writhing on the ground, trying to remove the stake.

"It's sad really," Klaus said "I thought I made you better. Turns out you were quite the disappointment."

Tyler got to his feet and Klaus allowed him, he removed the stake from his chest and threw it on the floor. The powerplays had turned.

"I guess I'm just another one of your failures," Tyler said when he had gotten himself under control. "Like how you failed at making hybrids. How you failed your family. Now it looks like you're gonna fail your own kid." The last sentence again sealed Tyler's fate as Klaus grabbed him by the throat and smashed his head against a tree

"And thus ends your tedious, little life, at least it was brief." With that, the original hybrid looked at his once minion and someone whom he had made to fulfill the void in his chest, in his heart a way for him to make himself a new family and overcome the disappointment the previous one had been.

" Do it," Tyler replied meeting Klaus's eyes with his own. Blood had started running down the side of his lips. "You're never gonna break me. The only thing you can do is kill me. So go on. Go on! Get it over with."

Klaus squinted his eyes at him, their faces so close now he could sense Tyler's ragged breath on his own skin. He realized now there's been something missing about him all this time. Something Klaus should be sensing right now, exhaling from every pore on Tyler's body.

The stench of fear. The realization hit him so quick that he wondered why had he not realized it sooner. Better late than never right.

" Ah!" Klaus began with amusement, "You want me to end your suffering, don't you? Hmmm, I did break you, Tyler, took everything from you, and now you're begging me to sweep away the shards of your shattered little life." His lips curled into a cruel smile as he tightened his hand around Tyler's heart before taking it out altogether and grabbed his throat "Death offers more peace than you deserve. It's better to let you live, and each morning you will wake knowing that your wretched existence continues only by my will." He then forced Tyler to look into his eyes and compelled him. "Now go and live the rest of your days knowing you are nothing to me."

With that Klaus left leaving a broken Tyler behind.

"Do you have any idea how many fools have tried to vanquish my brother?" Rebekah half screamed at Marcel as she tried to make him see sense "If you stand against him he will kill you; it will be awful, and bloody, and I will not stand around and watch."

She spun on her heel to leave, her words had made a portrait of Marcel dead in her mind that she did not wanted to revisit. Marcel whisked in front of her.

"You forget I have a secret weapon," Marcel said "Davina, the most powerful witch in the last couple centuries. What if she can find a way to kill him?"

Rebekah looked at Marcel before shaking her head and met his eyes.

" You don't know, do you? You can't kill Klaus not without dying yourself." Marcel looked at her confused, as Rebekah explained desperately,

" We learned from the death of my brothers Kol and Finn. If an original dies then every vampire ever made from their line dies with them. Even if you kill Klaus he would still win. It had been that way for a thousand years. That's his trick he always wins."

Rebekah had moved towards Marcel while saying what she said.

"There is another way," Marcel said, his hope not yet lost.

" And what would that be?" Rebekah asked highly skeptical.

" We bury him down here, forever?"

"Are you mad?" Rebekah asked her tone disbelieving, "this little chamber of horrors may work for your riff-raff, but do you really think it will hold my brother."

" Isn't it worth the risk?" Marcel questioned rather unnecessarily "You know I'm right, Rebekah. He'll never stop trying to control you."

"And am I supposed to believe that after a century suddenly you are willing to risk death at his hands to be with me?" Rebekah asked suspiciously her voice like the one who had never had someone do anything like that to her before.

"I want to defend my home. I want to be free," he held out one hand and rubbed her arm with the other, "if that means I get to be with you, all the more reason to bury him. Now you tell me, what do you want?"

Rebekah stared at him in silence. The only sound that reached her ears was the low moans and the loud drip of water and her own heartbeat.
