Not absolutely satisfied with this chapter, as it was hard to juggle certain parts of the chapter, especially towards the end, but I do hope you guys enjoy it.
Ellie Bishop: Yeah, Roy isn't taking this well. Well, the writers are lazy idiots who admit their plots often depend on making their main character an idiot, which says everything. The Siege is going to be a lot more intense this time, both emotionally and physically. Sara will not be going back to the League; I have something set up to t take the place of Nyssa and the League here. I have a solution to Ra's as well.
Guest: Glad you enjoyed it. Glad to hear it all.
ARGUS prison
Late afternoon
In her cell, Isabel Rochev looked up as the door to her cell opened and Oliver walked in.
"Oliver," Isabel greeted as she got to her feet. "Come to vis-"
Suddenly, Oliver slugged her, hard. Isabel stumbled back, hitting the glass wall of the cell as Oliver stuck her again before grabbing her and throwing her to the floor. Oliver then pulled out a gun and knelt down, aiming it at her temple.
"Let me help you understand what is going to happen," Oliver said calmly. "You are going to tell me what Slade is planning. If you refuse, I will torture you until you tell me. You may have been trained by Slade, but let's see if he taught you how to hold up under torture."
"You don't need to go that far Oliver. If you want to know what Slade's plan is, all you had to do was ask," Isabel said with a blood stain smile.
"Just let that? Oliver asked skeptically.
"Yeah, just like that. Because there is nothing you can do to stop him now," Isabel said smugly.
Safe house
Night
Everyone else was simply waiting for Oliver to return from ARGUS. Anatoly was nervously loading a gun as Sara showed Laurel how to wield a baton. Felicity was at her computer as Moira was watching Thea, who was watching Roy as he sharpened his arrows, preparing for the fight.
"How's he doing?" Lyla asked and Thea shrugged.
"Well, his girlfriend turned out to be a psychopath so…yeah," Thea said lamely.
"I meant about his dad," Lyla said and saw Thea and Moira look at her confused. "He didn't tell you?"
"I don't think he told Ollie either, just me and Felicity," Sara said, overhearing the conversation.
"Okay, what are you talking about?" Thea asked bewildered.
"Slade had Jade put a file on Roy's bed, about his father. He was a soldier that was killed by friendly fire when Roy was a kid. But according to the file, he was killed by an unknown sniper. I asked Lyla to look into it," Sara said before looking over at Lyla. "You found something."
"Roy's father stumbled onto a conspiracy that the Ninth Circle was going to use our military in a plot to overthrow the government. One of his superiors was a Ninth Circle plant," Lyla explained as they all caught on.
"The Ninth Circle killed his father," Anatoly noted and Lyla nodded.
"He didn't take it well," Lyla said as they all eyed Roy. "I've seen this kind of thing eat people up inside. If he doesn't talk about it with someone…it will destroy him. I've seen it happen with vets, they just can't handle it anymore."
For a moment it was silent. Then, after a moment of indecision, Thea walked over to Roy.
"Nicely played," Sara muttered to Lyla, who shrugged.
"Hey," Thea said as she reached Roy. "How are you doing?"
'Well, I think its official that we're in the endgame now," Roy said, stopping to examine his newly sharpened arrow.
"I meant about your dad," Thea said and Roy looked at her startled. "Lyla told us."
"Of course she did," Roy muttered before sighing. "Honestly, I don't know how I'm feeling. I don't even really remember him that well. He was just barely there between deployments. Why do I feel this way?"
"Because he was your dad," Thea said gently as she took his hand. "And he loved you; you wouldn't feel this way if you didn't know that. And at the end of the day…your dad is your dad. I'd give just about anything to have one more moment with mine."
"I spent my entire life being angry at him, blaming him for leaving me alone. And he was just trying to do the right thing, the same way I do every day," Roy said after a few moments.
"I guess you know where you get it now," Thea teased and Roy let out a sight chuckle.
"Yeah, I guess so," Roy acknowledged.
Thea wanted to say more, there was so much she had to say to him. But, before she could say a word, the door to the safe house opened. They all looked over as Oliver entered the room.
"Slade's men are attacking the city tonight," Oliver declared.
"Slade is going to attack from the sewer system," Oliver explained as they geared up downstairs.
"The lines converge at Water Street," Felicity said as she looked at the sewer plans at her computer. "If Slade's army's underground, that's probably where he'll be."
"Isabel told me that the Ninth Circle is planning on making a move on ARGUS tonight as well," Oliver said as he looked over at Lyla. "Either she doesn't know what it is or she's not talking, but it's happening."
"I'll be prepared," Lyla said with a nod.
"Anatoly, I need you to do one more thing for me," Oliver said as he turned to Anatoly.
"Anything," Anatoly vowed.
"Get them out of here," Oliver said, gesturing to Moira, Thea and Laurel.
"I am not leaving!"
"Oliver!"
"What?"
"Quiet," Oliver said forcibly, stunning the three of them into silence. "Five years ago, before I tried to kill him, Slade said he was going to take away everything I love, mentioning the three of you specifically. He's already tried to kill you Mom; I'm not giving him a second go at it. I can't focus on stopping Slade and Emiko if I'm worrying about them going after you. I know you don't want to leave, but I need you to so I can focus on ending this."
The three women exchanged displeased looks but silently, they knew they were thinking the same thing. They had played their part in making sure Oliver was ready for this. Now, they were just in the way.
"Just end this nightmare Oliver," Moira said as she looked back at her son.
Oliver nodded before heading over to where Roy was gearing up, loading his arrows into his quiver.
"You ready for this?" Oliver asked, Sara having told him about his father.
"Ready to serve up some payback," Roy said grimly and Oliver nodded.
"Good," Oliver said, moving over and pulling a large box out from under a table. "You've come far in the last five months, much farther than I did at this point in your training. Time to put it to the test."
Oliver placed the box on the table in front of Roy. Curiously, Roy opened it, looking at what was inside. It was a suit, a red suit. Roy could see a red mask, similar to Oliver's own, on top.
"Are you serious?" Roy asked surprised and Oliver nodded.
"You've earned it," Oliver said before turning to Sara and Felicity. "It's time to move out."
Starling City
Later that night
Below ground, Oliver moved through a large service tunnel under the city.
Further down the tunnel, Dante was buttoning his suit when his phone rang. Pulling it out, Dante smirked before answering.
"Mr. Wilson," Dante greeted.
"Are things in position?" Slade asked.
"I've received word from our men at ARGUS. Mr. Queen visited Ms. Rochev earlier today," Dante assured him.
"Then the pieces are in place. It is time," Slade said before Dante heard the click of the phone.
Chuckling, Dante pocketed his phone before he turned around. Standing behind him where Slade's Mirakuru Soldiers, all wearing a Deathstroke mask.
"Tonight we forge a new history," Dante began. "Tonight, we take down the corrupt bureaucracy that has ruled it for so long and give freedom back to the people!"
Outside the room, Oliver looked in on them, frowning as he saw how many men Slade had at his disposal.
"I have eyes on Slade's army," Oliver said softly over the Comms.
"Got it," Felicity said. "I'm forwarding Sara and Roy your ping along with the foundation schematics of the Topside Avenue. Follow the route I laid out on the blueprints. You'll see structural joints in the concrete. Blow them all and Slade's army gets buried."
A short distance away from the car, Sara pulled out her phone and looked at the plans.
"Got it," Sara said as she and Roy began setting the charges.
Lyla was in her car, on her way back to base when she noticed her car was stalling. To her surprise, she saw the gas needle go down. And that wasn't the only odd thing. There were four cars that had been following her the whole time, ever since she had switched cars on her way back to base.
ARGUS base

A one of the entrances to base, a guard gasped for breath as his throat was slit by another guard. Throwing his former coworker's body to the floor, the guar used an access card to unlock the entrance. The door opened, revealing Diggle and several armed men.
Starling City Police Department
Same time
Quentin was talking with Kelton when another officer walked in, leading in a suspect in handcuffs.
"Come on pal," the officer said, shoving the suspect forward.
Quentin looked over and paled as he saw who it was.
"Isn't that one of the Iron Heights escapes?" Quentin asked.
"Dumbass here tried to rob a convenience store but gave up as soon as I pulled in," the office said happily. "Mind if I just stick him here for a minute?"
"No, go ahead," Quentin muttered.
As the officer put the suspect in the chair, Quentin's mind was racing. Slade wouldn't be so sloppy to let one of them go; he knew. As the suspect looked around oddly, Quentin knew this wasn't a coincidence.
Starling City
Same time
Oliver was watching Dante and the Mirakuru Soldiers when he tensed, sensing someone behind him.
"Felicity, have Sara blow the charges the moment they're ready," Oliver ordered.
Oliver then whirled around, notching an arrow and taking aim at Emiko.
"Hello brother," Emiko said smugly.
"Don't call me that. You are not my sister, no matter who your father is. As far as I'm concerned, you're just another psychopath threatening my city, no different than Malcolm or Slade," Oliver sneered.
"But I am different Oliver. Because I know you won't kill me," Emiko said confidently.
"And why is that?" Oliver demanded, not liking the smug smirk that crossed her face.
"Because if you do, you'll never find out where your son is," Emiko declared.
Oliver was taken back momentarily before a Ninth Circle agent rounded the corner, leading in a bound Samantha.
"Oliver," Samantha exclaimed as she saw him, her frightened eyes meeting his stunned orbs.
"Samantha?"
"Oliver, where are you?" Roy asked, tapping the Comms piece in his suit but received no answer.
Roy and Sara exchanged a helpless look before Sara looked down at the trigger.
"It's what he wants," Sara said, trying to keep her voice steady as she moved to activate the explosives.
Only for a knife to hit her hand, knocking the trigger out of her hand. The two whirled around to see Jade walked out of the shadows, whirling two knives.
"Jade," Roy breathed, not expecting the surge of emotion that welled up in him at the sight of her.
"Get out of here Roy. You don't wanna do this," Jade said, almost pleading with him to listen to her.
"Yeah, I do," Roy said, tightening his grip on his bow.
Sara then pulled out her baton, extending it as she and Roy rushed Jade.
Lyla got out of her car, holding a gun as the cars that had been following her stopped. The driver's got out and Lyla almost let out a humorless laugh. She recognized them: they were all ARGUS agents. Or Ninth Circle plants, Lyla realized.
"So this is what it's come to? You sold your soul to the Ninth Circle and now you're gonna kill me?" Lyla demanded as they each pulled out a gun, training it on her.
"I'm sorry Lyla. It's just business," one of them said before they opened fire on her.
"You said you got us a plane?" Thea asked Anatoly as they, Moira and Laurel stood on an airfield.
"Da. It should be coming now," Anatoly said as they heard the roar of the plane engine. "There is it is."
True to Anatoly's word, they could see a plane start to descend from the sky. But then something else was seen. There was something else in the sky, they realized. A drone.
They had barely realized what was happened when the drone fired. Their plane was hit and they all watched in horror as it exploded in a blast of fire and metal.

"Hey," the Iron Heights escape asked, getting Quentin and Kelton's attention. "You got the time?"
"It's uh, 9:00," Kelton said as he checked his watch.
"Thanks," the escapee said.
Then, to the shock of Quentin and Kelton, he easily broke his cuffs and got to his feet. Before they could even react, he grabbed Kelton by his throat and easily snapped his neck. As he dropped Kelton to the floor, Quentin drew his gun but the man quickly knocked it away. Quentin punched the man, but it had no effect. He advanced on Quentin, grabbing him by the throat and pushing him back against the wall. Another cop grabbed him, but an elbow sent him flying, and the man grabbed a mask from under his coat and put it on. He then threw Quentin across the room and then advanced on the other cops who were beginning to respond.

Two guards were standing in front of Isabel's cell. One checked his watch for the time before something changed. Suddenly, he pulled out his gun, whirled on his partner and pulled the trigger before they could even react, getting them in the head. As the lifeless body fell to the floor, the guard pulled out his access card and used it to unlock Isabel's cell before opening the door.
"Took you long enough," Isabel said as she walked out. "A little on the nose, aren't you?"
"Trust me, no one is gonna be paying attention to this area," The guard said with a smirk.
In the command room, Diggle and his team walked in, opening fire on the unsuspecting operatives.
Starling City
Same time
"Oliver, please," Felicity tried to raise Oliver on the Comms.
She got no response. As Felicity tried to figure out her next move, her phone rang. Picking it up, she saw it was Star Labs.
"Cisco now is not a good time."
"What did you do Emiko?" Oliver demanded angrily and she smirked.
"I think that's a question you should be asking yourself. You trusted John Diggle and that trust gave me the perfect weapon," Emiko said smugly and Oliver glowered at her.
"What do you want Emiko?!" Oliver exploded.
"For you to suffer, the way I did," Emiko sneered. "I want you to watch as I destroy your legacy, your team, your son. I will kill you, the son our father chose over me, and justice will finally be served. But first-"
The Ninth Circle agent shoved Samantha to Oliver. He dropped his bow, catching her as Emiko aimed an explosive arrow towards the ceiling and fired. The arrow hit the ceiling and the resulting explosion caused rumble to fall on Oliver and Samantha.
On the darkened streets of Starling City, over fifty men in masks marched down the street, ready to burn the city to the ground.
Like I said, it was difficult to juggle everything going on, but I hope I did okay on setting up the Siege.
I've been planning on Roy getting his Arsenal suit for a while now and this felt like the perfect spot to have it happen.
