Mercy

Severus glared between Petunia and her fat family and the crowd of red heads that were smothering Harry with affection. He does not know what he should feel. His emotions were all over the place. Unusual for the man who could hide his feelings and thoughts from everyone else.

The loud noise of the many people clamoring to get a good look at the newly mated pair was already giving him a major headache. This emotional back and forth was not helping him. He took a moment and rubbed his temples, thinking over what he knew.

On one hand, the alpha was beyond happy to see his son taken care of, cared for. On the other hand, Severus feels slightly envious of the family that has more of a connection with his son them himself. He knows these are foolish thoughts, as he is beyond grateful Harry had such a loving family looking out for him when he could not. It still hurts, more than he wants to contemplate.

A particular shrill screech made him dart his eyes towards the tall horse like woman and her bloated husband. They were strutting around their cart of 'gifts,' noses up and chests out like they owned the place. Their pathetic offspring just stood there stupidly whining about leaving his 'friends.'

Then of course he is angry. Livid, outright murderous. The pure callousness of the three who should have loved Harry the most makes him wish he could cut them into tiny pieces.

Oh, how he wishes he were able to hurt them, they should not be able to live after how they treated his son all these years. Sirius had even whispered things they could do to hurt them, scare them even, it had been the only thing that had stopped him from jumping down from that platform to maim them.

That and Remus reminding them that Harry did not want them to die. Glancing at his son during his lord's speech he could see it in the boys' eyes clear as day. He would respect that if nothing else. He curled his long, elegant fingers into tight fists, nails biting into his flesh in frustration. They would pay though, eventually.

Watching them embarrass themselves was a good incentive to wait. His lord was inventive he gave him that. He wanted them to hurt more, but he knew it was not over, Tom was nothing if not vindictive.

His lord slid his hand down Harry's back, the smaller man glanced up in surprise but gave a warm smile, the alpha leaned down and kissed his forehead, his eyes warmer than Severus had ever seen them.

Severus swallowed, his emotions curling in circles. He was not sure how to feel about Tom mating to his son. He was glad such a strong alpha would protect him now, but he worried for Harry. Tom was as bullheaded stubborn as they come.

Then his Harry had stunned them by standing up to Tom, and Severus continued to smirk at the memory of his lord being called an 'ass'. That had been most amusing.

After watching his leader fall to the instincts of most alphas and seeing the sheer possessiveness of the man, only for Harry to put him in his place was a highlight of his life. Lucius and he would never let Tom live it down. Severus shook the thoughts from his mind; he would not worry about his son's bond overly much.

He was proud of who his son had become. He just hoped he could tell the boy that one day. He honestly had no idea how to approach him. How do you tell someone they were their long-lost child they believed long dead?

That was another thing, how had Harry survived? He had been devastated when Lily and James had been found. Ripped to pieces and left to bleed out. Harry had been presumed dead as well. The sheer number of pieces were all that was left. Many assumed it had been wild animals that had done it. There certainly were enough dangerous creatures within the Forbidden forests. The only thing recognizable were their faces. Frozen in fear and desperation.

The only survivor had been Albus, the high advisor. The man treated Severus like his son, and Harry had been his grandson in all but blood. The older alpha had suffered months with delirium, unable to remember what had happened, Severus hated that the trauma had affected him so much.

He of course had looked for Harry, sent out feelers, asking if others had seen him, but none came forward. In truth he had never quite believed his precious son had died, but what was he to do? There was no sign of him. So why had he been with these three? Why had they not come forward? It reeked with strangeness.

He would solve this mystery; he would not let it lie. Which is why they would wait to announce his prodigal son's return. They did not want the ones responsible realizing they were investigating. He still wanted to approach Harry though, he just did not know how.

"Now, on to the next part, I have another gift to offer these families." His lord's smug voice could be heard clearly, even when he did not shout. The people shouted in excitement, eating his words up.

Lucius and Severus shared a look, wondering what their lord was up to now. Severus fought back a snort, whatever it was would at least be interesting, their lord was entirely too full of himself for it not to be.

"I would like to extend an invitation to both families. You are all welcome at Hogwarts, we of course will accommodate you with sufficient lodging and a helping hand at finding service and things to occupy your time within our walls."

Severus balked. He wanted to invite them to their home?

Then the high healer's lips curled. Of course, he would invite them. He could not very well let the people who had harmed his omega out of his sight so soon. He wondered what horrors Tom had planned out for them. Nothing life threatening of course, but his lord had hinted before. They could be made to feel uncomfortable.

"We will provide different options of transportation and sleeping arrangement for the journey to Hogwarts." That was a surprise, they would travel with them too? Fantastic, what a delightful idea! This last part was thought in his most sarcastic inner voice.

Tom flashed him a smirk, his burgundy red eyes flashing with a dark emotion. Severus raise an eyebrow at him. It was obvious their lord had many plans for this journey. The dark-haired alpha allowed the barest twist to his lips. There were many ways they could maim, mess with the three on the road he supposed.

They were bound to request me for a potion or salve at some point.

Harry was gapping, and he knew it. He forced his jaw closed. He was not a fish after all.

After his Alpha's announcement he had frozen in anxiety. He had hoped to finally be free of his relatives. To now have them on this journey would be a nightmare. Add to that…. Harry glanced at the red heads he called his true family.

He would love for them to come with him, to never leave them behind or ever be abandoned in turn. He adored them. Yet he knew that both Molly and Arthur's families were tied to Surrey and the forest surrounding it. They were its keepers in a way.

Arthur was eccentric, according to the crowds of people pushing forward to get a closer look at the spectacle. They often gossiped about him and his strange family. Generations of the red heads devoutly lived within Surrey.

They loved the trees and land, and the elder red headed alpha could be found sitting in the very plain they all stood on for this ceremony. Arthur would sit in the grass for hours at a time. His eldest son, Bill had inherited this strange obsession, and often sat with his father. Neither speaking, just under the sky blissfully calm.

Molly's family had always been bizarre also. Never afraid to venture into the forests or they were obsessed with animals found within. Percy takes after his mother, tracking through the trees happily, and Charlie had inherited the love and respect of magical creatures from his mother's side as well.

Molly hid it better, but Arthur happily showed his 'strangeness,' as the village of Surrey understood it.

He was very peculiar, as had been his father and all the people in his family. What they did not realize was that Arthur's father, and his father, and so on, had come from this forest. Molly's had also come from here. They were essential to the forest and Surrey. Not that they told everyone.

Long ago, when Harry was younger, the two had shared their family legends with him. They had been including him into the family, like they always did, when they told their two youngest the family secrets.

"It is said that long ago, before the people had truly settled into these caves," Harry could vividly remember the warm voice of Arthur speaking his tale to all the three children at his feet. They had been warm and cozy within the cave before winter came fully on them. "That a great storm passed this forest, and lighting in all its power, lit up a tree with flames!"

All the kids had gasped, as the alpha had spoken with dark warning. "The animals within were dying, the trees were smoldering, and the land was burning, but in that moment something beautiful happened."

"What daddy?" Little Ginny had asked, her eyes wet with sadness, for to a six-year-old, what could be beautiful about a dying forest? Arthur had pulled her into his arms and squeezed her tightly.

"Mercy happened child, the flames themselves felt guilty." He told them, his voice whispering like a secret.

"But…fire can't feel guilty! It's just fire!" Ron interrupted, befuddled. Harry just tilted his head, wonderingly.

"Ah! But this fire was special! For you see, it was brought on by a terrible man, one with an abundance of magic, and too much pride! It was he who had conjured the storm that made the fire!"

"Why would he do that though?" Harry asked, sorrow dripping from his voice. He never understood hurting anyone, let alone animals and trees. Molly smiled down at him as she walked over, passing out warm treats and hot drinks.

"Sometimes greediness can overcome humans dear." She answered him. Letting her fingers thread through his hair when she sat down to join them.

"Greediness?" Harry had asked, tilting his head into the affectionate touch, soaking it up like he always did when it was offered. Molly put her arm around him, her other around her son Ron.

"Yes, the man was greedy, he wanted an omega, a powerful and beautiful one, that had escaped him in our very forest." Arthur explained.

"The omega was smarter than he was, using her intellect and magic to hide within its trees." Molly put in."All omegas should know this story, how the hunt was started. For it is what begun the tradition."

"Why though?" It sounded horrible to Harry; the omega obviously did not want to be caught. He hated feeling trapped, his aunt and uncle made him feel like that frequently.

"Let me finish and you will understand." Arthur chided gently. Harry blushed but did not interrupt again.

"Back then, omegas had no rights, not a chance to escape, they ran the moment they presented, otherwise any alpha strong enough magically could claim them at any time." He continued, his voice sad, "It did not do them any good most of the time, as an alpha merely had to wait outside their cave for the day, as they knew they would change at 17." Harry shivered, not liking that.

"The omega, Lilith, has said to have believed her impending prestation gave her signs. She worried for her twin sister Lila. She knew they would both be omega and that there were two alphas who gave them both so much attention. One was cruel and overly powerful, and the other, also powerful, followed his companion. So, days before their 17th autumn, she took off, her sister with her."

"It was said that her sister had great affiliation with the magical creatures, and with her gift they escaped on a winged horse." Molly chimed in, grinning at her daughter, whose eyes lit up. Ginny loved anything to do with horses.

"Lilith prayed to mother magic and the Earth itself and the forest we know as Forbidden was shown to her in visions. They were said to have flown there and hidden themselves within a cave, guarded by spirits of the forest." The three young children sat enraptured. It all seemed so magical.

"The horrible alpha, and his loyal comrade, hunted them down. The cruel man was angry at the forest for hiding her." Arthur said darkly, "He forgot that his magic comes from the Earth, and he tried to burn it down and drive the omegas from its trees."

Ron made a large gulping sound, which could be heard echoing within the cave's walls. Harry took his hand and squeezed it. The red headed boy flushed, but squeezed back, nonetheless.

"Did they die?" Ginny whispered horrified.

"This, my children, is where the story gets murky." Arthur cautioned. "For you see, the other alpha grew despondent, he knew in that moment that his friend had harmed magic itself. He did not have the power to bring down the fires, and he knew it would kill everything in it." They shivered.

"But…" Harry asked hesitantly. "But you said that the fire felt guilty, not a man." Arthur grinned at him, and rewarded Harry his attentiveness with a rub to his head. Harry giggled.

"You were listening!" He exclaimed. "Yes, the second alpha felt guilty and then he did the only thing he could, he prayed for mercy, asking magic to grant it."

"While at the same time Lila and Lilith, did the same." Molly added, smiling. "The prayers were at first unanswered, but the flames felt sorry for them, and for all the Earth it was eating up."

"Since they were made in magic, they were sentient. The flames granted them respite and asked magic for help, for they did not want to destroy the forest but did not want to disappear either. Magic took their prayers and gave them all mercy." Arthur explained. "Since mother magic comes from the Earth, she made a deal with the flames in exchange for leniency."

"So, then what happened?" Ginny asked again.

"Life for life." Arthur intoned gravely. "The flames did not want to die out, as fire tends to do, so they asked for a way to stay on Earth. Mother magic made a deal, she gave them life, if they would care for the forest, they nearly burned."

"However, the humans had to pay a price for this mercy too." Arthur continued. His voice more subdued. "The alpha who started the fire of hatred had to give his life, forcibly taken by the smoke that rose from the dead." Harry swallowed then; it had sounded terrifying. The smell must have been awful too.

"Another had to give up their humanity and join the spirits of the forest, giving life back into it." Molly said. "Lilith, so intoned with the Earth, chose this path, to both give her sister freedom and to give thanks to the mother."

"To make sure no evil like this ever happened again, the mother gave the last two a duty. They must spread her degree, so that all alphas must earn their omegas within the forest, to hunt them and show that they were worthy. The omega's must show their cunning by surviving within her trees for as long as possible." Arthur told them.

"Thus, 'The Hunt' was started, the forest is revered to this day, and people are forbidden from harming it ever again." The room grew quiet, in contemplation, wondering about those long-ago people.

"It is said that Lila and the redeemed alpha mated and became the first equal pair." Molly told them.

"They left this area, and traveled, spreading the Lady Magic's words. Eventually it is said they established the largest cave system, building within it a mighty and magical city."

"Hogwarts!" Ron shouted.

" Yes, Hogwarts." Arthur laughed. His youngest son was obsessed with Hogwarts, many of the children were. "Harry what's on your mind?" Arthur asked, noticing the little boy had his pondering face on. Harry looked up; his eyes full of questions.

"What happened to the flames…you said they got life, but how?" Arthur and Molly smiled at each other, the children were giving them looks of bewilderment, wanting to know the last secret of the tale.

"It is said that they became humans themselves, marked to protect the Earth for the chance to walk on it." Arthur said, grinning at his wife, who chuckled.

"Humans!" All three children gasped.

"Yes, and on that day, they walked out of the trees, and established Surrey, lifting hills and stone to build its caves." Molly continued. Arthur motioned for all of them to come closer, his voice now in a loud whisper.

"Which is why there is always people with red hair found in our village."

Harry remembered that day clearly. It was a story the redheaded family shared with their children every generation. Though everyone knew the story of the hunt, only the red heads knew the second part. Harry still chuckled at the dramatics, but he knew his adoptive family were truly connected to this area of land. There must always be part of their family here.

The announcement his bonded had given made him happy in some ways, but it pained him too. He did not want his family to feel guilty for not coming, he knew they could not leave. Not all of them. Which was why Fred and George could travel with the carven. Since others from the family took care of responsibilities.

It is going to be so difficult to say goodbye. Harry felt a hand on his shoulder. He looked up. Tom's warm eyes were staring into his own, slight puzzlement coloring the ruby gaze.

"Did that displease you darling?" His alpha asked. Harry smiled, but worry still shifted across his face. How could he say that he could not' ask for them to join them, when he so desperately wanted them too?

TRTRTRTRTRTRTRTRTRTRTRTRTRTRTRTRTR

Arthur was surprised at how thoughtful their lord was being. To offer them gifts when they were his omega's surrogate family? It was unusual, but very much apricated. They all considered Harry their own, always had been from the moment Molly brought him in from the woods, covered in dirt.

Such a loving child. He had always been touched starved, and soaked up positive attention with adoration, having never gotten an ounce of positive attention within his own cave. The red heads had immediately dubbed him their son and brother. His youngest had practically tied themselves to Harry for life.

Now he was leaving them, and it broke their heart. Yet, like he knew the rest of his family were feeling, Arthur was glad Harry had found someone to cherish him. It was obvious that the alpha did adore Harry. To give his adopted family honor when others would not? To speak with them in such ways? It was obvious.

The gifts did not really matter, they were not materialistic. No, it was the sheer fact that Harry must have mentioned them, and often, to get the man to show this respect. He held Molly in his arms, gently squeezing her shoulders. She was rather emotional about the love Harry had alluded to, and so was he to be honest.

Now the man was asking them to follow, to join them at Hogwarts. It was mind boggling. It had been done before, whole families going with omegas or alphas to their homes, but their Lord was asking both families to join. Truly an honor.

"OF course!" That whale of a man Harry sadly called uncle boasted, his chest puffed up. Arthur truly tried not to judge but Harry's relatives had always irked him. The fat beta's mate was standing haughtily beside him, her horse face looking over the crowd in obvious pride. Neither of them had even said anything to Harry himself yet.

"Thank you, Lord Tom!" Vernon bowed again, smirking in slimy satisfaction.

Arthur glared at them. His anger evident.

"Leave our cave?" Molly looked up at him, her eyes worried. He knew she loved their home, the cave they had had since they had mated themselves, growing as their family steadily grew. It held memories for them.

Plus, they were deeply connected to the forests. Both their families having been highly magical and devoted to her charms for generations. It was their family duty to always protect its trees. There were reasons why he always sat within the grass boarding the forest, he was communing with the magics. Answering it with his own. He found out where the ground suffered and what was needed to give it extra help to flourish.

Molly, his sweet omega, could find anything within its long shadows. She could find the rarest fruit and tastiest mushrooms. There were reasons their large family never went hungry.

He also knew that most of the family was still here, Bill and Fleur, Percy, and Penelope. Their grandchildren. To leave would be unfair. They could not uproot them all even if they were allowed to. They were not allowed to all leave anyways, so it really was a moot point.

He watched Molly's eyes water as she glanced at who they both considered their youngest son. Neither wanted Harry to go so far all alone, with no family who genuinely cared with him. He had never hated his duty, but at that moment, a small bit of resentment flashed through him. He did not want to say goodbye.

Omegas needed their family. Even though Fleur had moved to Surrey to be with Bill, she had brought two of her beta cousins. They could not allow him to go with just Petunia and Vernon for his representatives.

What do we do? They felt gutted. They could see on Harry's face that he understood, but it pained him. Knowing Harry as they did, they knew he would feel guilty for making them think about this at all.

"Mother, father?" Molly and Arthur glanced at their second eldest son. Charlie was smiling at them, somewhat sadly and somewhat happily. He was holding his new omega's hand. In that moment, the parents knew they were going to say goodbye, for quite some time, to more than one of their sons.

"Yes Charlie?" Molly asked. Charlie squeezed his omegas hand then let it go. He walked over and hugged Molly tightly. "Charlie?"

"I'll come home to visit, and you can always come visit us at Hogwarts, just know…." Charlie hugged his mother tighter. Arthur patted his arm, his own eyes starting to mist over. "Just know I love you both so much."

"Oh Charlie!" Molly hugged him fiercely. "You know we'll visit, both our sons!" She stepped back, wiping at her eyes, but she was smiling. Pride shone on her face. Her son was finally mated, and he would go with his omega to her home. He would also be able to look out for Harry too.

"Little Harry won't be going alone." Charlie said cheekily, "I'll keep an eye on him!"

"Guess that means you need me to keep an eye on you!" They looked behind their second oldest to see Ron and Hermione standing there. A big sheepish smile on the alpha's face.

"Ron?" Arthur asked confused. "What do you mean?" Ron rubbed the back of his neck, then looked up with a big, yet slightly apologetic smile.

"I can't let both of my brothers go out on their own now, can I?"

"Ronni you…you're going to go?" Molly gasped out, looking utterly flabbergasted. Arthur felt his heart ping sadly. He knew it would be hard to lose the three all at once, but they were adults, and this was something they wanted. He was proud, if resigned.

"Yeah mum, I just…." Ron sighed, and glanced at Hermione who gave him an encouraging smile. That seemed to give him the energy he needed. His spine straightened out and he looked up, his gaze steady.

"Hermione is good at healing you know, but she wants to learn more. She can do that in a big place like Hogwarts." Hermione rolled her eyes and elbowed him in the ribs.

"Tell them why you want to go, idiot." She scolded fondly. Ron glared but no one could beat Hermione's 'no nonsense, do what I tell you look." Except maybe Molly.

"Fine." Ron griped, not to upset. "I just…I want to see new places, and maybe train to be a guard, I think my magic can do some good out there you know…" He blushed, having never really told anyone but Hermione and Harry his dreams before.

"Why didn't you tell us this earlier?" Arthur asked, they always tried to encourage their children, and he did not want them to ever feel they could not come to them. Ron shrugged sheepishly.

"I just wasn't sure it was possible until now."

"It's a chance though!" Inputted Hermione, grinning up at him. "Plus, we would miss a certain someone too much to let him go on his own." She nodded her head over to Harry, who was talking quietly to their Lord, with a slightly concerned face.

"Yeah, I don't' want to say goodbye to Harry yet either." Ron stumbled over his words. His face brighter red. He hated sharing feelings. This made them all chuckle. Though he knew his bonded would be heartbroken for a while, Arthur also knew she would be pleased for them.

Arthur shared a look with his omega. Both grinned sadly but proudly.

"You know, you three had better write us, and if I find you have not been eating proper meals, just know I can find my way to Hogwarts just as easily as you lot." Molly said, her hands on her hips. That made the group snicker.

Arthur hugged his second youngest son, he did consider Harry his youngest boy, and then hugged Hermione too. She had been a part of their lives for quite a while, and if Charlie, Ron, or Harry needed direction she would make sure they toed the line and advise them. It warmed his heart. His children, all of them who were old enough, had bonded well.

"I suppose we should be letting them know." The patriarch of the family instructed, they all bobbed their heads and made their way back to the center. Petunia and Vernon were currently demanding a high-class tent and cart to take them to Hogwarts. Shaking their heads in disgust the red heads convened around their favorite raven-haired omega.

"Harry, our Lord, a word?" Harry looked up; his eyes hesitant. They knew he would not want them to dislodge their lives for him, but he most likely dreaded traveling with his relatives. Time to put him out of his misery.

"Charlie, Ron and Hermione wish to take you up on your offer our Lord, it would be a privilege to have our family join you at your home dwellings." Arthur bowed his head to Tom, respectively. Harry had gasped and looked over at the two younger red headed alphas and his friend Hermione, who all grinned back at him.

"It gives us great honor that you should gift us with such wonderful kindness" He hugged Molly from the side, united. "We do have to turn down the trip for Molly and me, we are stuck in our ways and are quite attached to our family cave."

Tom gave Arthur and Molly a nod in understanding. 'You are all always welcome of course to visit." Their lord assured, "and Harry of course will most likely come to call on you when he is able." He got a blinding beam from the dark-haired omega. Arthur was happy to see a fond look returned from the alpha.

Harry pulled away from Tom at that moment and threw his arms around Hermione's neck, before dragging the other two into a tight hug as well.

"I'm so thrilled!" He exclaimed. He looked over at the others and though slightly sad at parting with them he knew they would keep in touch.

"Bill, Percy, you take care of Molly and Arthur. Penelope, Fleur, watch out for those two, and let me know when the babies are born." Fleur was heavily pregnant with her second child after all, and Penelope was halfway through her and Percy's first.

"Oh Harry." Molly dragged him into a rib crushing hug. Arthur was amused to see concern on their lord Tom's face at such an action. He was glad the man was already so protective, however, he had better get used to the exuberant hugs, Hermione matched Molly easily.

"Lord, we require your assistance, these people are being utterly unhelpful!" A boisterous demanding voice could be heard. Everyone froze.

Even the crowd had become silent. The sheer audacity, to demand something from their lord and leader?

Vernon approached, completely unaware of the rising animosity around him. The look Tom gave him, though? That he was not immune too.

Arthur swallowed. The look of pure icy murderous loathing was something he had never seen before. Their leader could pull it off easily, it was terrifying to behold.

He glanced at his bonded. Molly had seen it too, but her face, worried for only a moment, morphed into gleeful satisfaction. Arthur was not even a bit surprised. His Molly had longed to destroy Vernon and Petunia, he supposed Tom could be added to the list of people who wanted them to suffer.

HPHPHPHPHPHPHPHPHPHPHPHPHPHPHPHPHP

Vernon was not the brightest man, but he sometimes had small inklings of thought that warned him he had stepped over the line. It usually happened when he was using his only magic and drilling new caves and tunnels within their hills. It was a warning that the structure was unsafe. That he should stop before his world came crushing down.

Right now, as he looked into eyes the color of blood, that feeling of the world crushing him was at the highest he had ever felt it. He shivered. He was not sure what had happened to anger his lord, after all he was not known for his smarts. Yet he just knew…knew that he had fucked up.

"I apologize my lord, I did not mean to offend," Vernon gulped. For several moments, silence reigned. Petunia had slid up behind him, her long boney fingers gripping at Vernon's meaty arm. She too could sense the sudden lethalness in the air.

Dudley, their only son, just seemed confused, his mouth was gapping, and he kept glancing back and forth. He had stopped begging for chocolate thirty minutes ago, when he heard the people getting more and more aggravated. Unlike his parents, he paid a bit more attention. He was confused at the anger but knew better than to open his mouth here.

Vernon could feel sweat slide down his neck, a slight tremble was coming from his mate. He lowered his gaze, waiting for…something to happen.

It was the longest three minutes of his life.

"Tom." Vernon jerked up. His nephew, the blasted boy who showed off his powers left and right, had spoken. His voice was clear and steady, not a bit of fear in it. Vernon forced himself not to glare, he hated the brat, always had. The boy should be quivering in his shoes, not standing tall beside their powerful leader. Oh, how he envied his power, especially now.

"Yes, Darling?" Petunia twitched behind him. Vernon knew that she despised the child even more. Though he never really understood why, part of it was the same as his thoughts of course. Plus, though they would never admit, the boy was freakishly strong in magic, and had an oddness to his gifts. They feared it.

Right now, Petunia would be roaring with envy, just like Vernon, as the boy they had used as a servant, was spoken to with respect by the lord of their people. It sickened them, but they would squeeze what they could out of this situation. They would get whatever they could from the the boy. They deserved it after raising such a freak of nature.

One day their lord will see his 'power' for what it was, he would be thrown aside, for not being human enough. Until then they could play nice, get rewarded for it and then leave when Harry lost his place.

TRTRTRTRTRTRTRTRTRTRTRTRTRTRTRTR

Tom had thought he had hurt his sweet omega, but after Harry had explained that the red heads would wish to mostly stay at Surrey, he had understood why Harry was worried. He kissed his omega on the forehead in apology. He had wanted to gift Harry with his family, but now he was stuck with just…those three.

Then they were pleasantly surprised by some of the red heads agreeing to go. Harry had been ecstatic, much to Tom's relief. He was coming to adore that face lit up with a smile.

Then that pompous whale had spoken, and Tom had started planning ways to maim, slaughter and dispose of the filth. It was not even because the man had spoken to him so rudely, though that did infuriate him.

No, it was because he had interrupted the happiness of his omega. He watched as Harry's face had lost all color, shame shining in those beautiful emerald eyes. At that moment he wanted them dead. How dare they treat his Harry this way?

He had enjoyed watching them squirm. As he stared at them, as he let his full villainous emotions out on full display. Then Harry had spoken. Calmed him, just enough that his shields came down again. He would get his vengeance, Harry's vengeance, at some point.

Not now though, not yet. He kissed his Omega again, softly, showing his adoration, making sure the vermin were aware that Harry was above them. The flash of bitterness, greed and jealousy in their eyes showed just how vile they were.

"I am glad to have so many that are coming to Hogwarts with me, with us." Harry smiled at him. His eyes were slightly tightened in stress, but he hid it well behind his joy. Tom was so lucky to have him, to have such a strong omega.

"I'm sure we can find ways to make…everyone as comfortable as possible." Tom promised Harry. Out of the corner of his eyes, he watched Vernon, Petunia and Dudley deflate, he wondered how long they would stay their tongue.

"Lucius, "Tom called up to him, the tall blond had not left the platform. He was surprised to see the other alpha so composed. He knew he had probably given disgusted looks at the three all day. "Please personally see to our companions, if you would, ask anyone else to assist you that can be spared."

He let his red eyes flow to Severus and Sirius, both men were not even attempting to hide their animosity. Lucius followed his sight and smirked. Of course, there were different levels of comfort.

"As you command my lord." Lucius bowed slightly at Tom, and gave another bow of respect to Harry, "Lord-consort." Vernon and Petunia flushed an angry color, the envy was obvious. Tom noticed their son, standing lightly away from his parents. He looked conflicted and even… marginally embarrassed?

May there was hope for Harry's cousin, but Tom would let time tell him that. For now, he would watch, and see how his punishments are received.

I hope that was good for you all! I rewrote this one many times. I kept thinking it was missing something. I had not planned the lore bit, but it fit so much better here! So do you think Dudley will get a second chance? I like that he grows up a bit in canon, so love when its included in fanfiction somehow. If so, who do you think he could end up with? I'm still debating! I never planned on having all the Weasley's join them but I wanted to include some of them, funnily enough Ron and Herms were not going to go but I am a sucker for the golden trio! Next time I am hoping to get the show on the road, so to speak, and start the journey to Hogwarts, may have a flashback to getting Harry's things at cave, or them just talking about it. Leave comments and let me know what you think.

Till next time.
