I know some parts may seem a bit rushed but I tried my best with the time I had, I hope you guys understand and enjoy it though!

If you have questions or concerns feel free to message me! As always, hope you enjoy the chapter!

The crowd was stunned with what they were watching, the first one on one battle of the Sports Festival had begun with Midoriya freezing in place. Not everyone knew what was going on, including some of his classmates. But only a handful knew, as Shinso now had complete control of Midoriya's body, and there was nothing Midoriya could do.

"WHATS GOING HERE??? NOT EVEN THIRTY SECONDS IN AND MIDORIYA HAS ALREADY STOPPED IN HIS TRACKS!! WILL SHINSO ACTUALLY WIN THIS??"

"Come on Deku!" Uraraka said, trying to cheer her friend on but couldn't help but worry about the sudden event.

"Oh dear, why did Midoriya stop??" Iida said worriedly, looking down to see Michiru trying to get a closer look as Ashido turned back towards him to answer his question.

"Michiru said he looks like he's in a trance!" Iida adjusted his glasses, holding his chin as he thought to himself.

'So this could be Shinso's quirk then. I fear if Midoriya doesn't snap out of it then this may be over for him…'

"SHINSO HASN'T DONE MUCH TO STAND OUT, BUT HE COULD'VE BEEN SAVING HIS QUIRK TO KEEP HIS ELEMENT OF SURPRISE! AND LOOK AT IT NOW, WHAT A SUDDEN CHANGE OF EVENTS!!" Present Mic yelled.

While Present Mic continued his commentary, Shinso on the other hand grinned. Everything was going perfectly for him now, he didn't have a chance in the practical exam due to his quirk not being a physical one, but the Sports Festival was his chance of redemption.

"You've been blessed with such an incredible quirk, Izuku Midoriya, but clearly… I'll be winning this match today. Now do me a favor and turn around, walk out of bounds." And like that, Midoriya turned himself around without hesitation, as he slowly walked towards the line of the arena they stood in.

"WAIT WHAT?! HE'S OBEYING SHINSO'S COMMAND???"

His classmates only got more worried, watching their unresponsive friend walk even closer to the line. Even All Might and Shirou wanted to say something, but they knew it was beyond them to interrupt the match.

'His quirk, what is it?? Could it be brainwashing?' Shirou thought to himself, curious but also concerned over Midoriya's ability to win the match.

"Come on kid!! Snap out of it! What was all that talk earlier, don't go back from it now!" All Might was more than worried, he was practically panicking over what he was watching. Only minutes before the boy was so determined and now he was about to lose. Midoriya was aware of everything he was hearing, and yet, he was locked out. He could witness everything from what felt like a window he couldn't open.

'What's going on? Why can't I control my movements? I… can't break free!!' Midoriya's mind only became more troubled as the distance between him and the line grew shorter.

'Come on stop moving!! Why can't I concentrate?! This is my fault, Ojiro and Yoarashi warned me! And now I'm about to lose!' He recalled what Ojiro and Yoarashi said back in the waiting room, how Shinso's quirk acted on them and how he could overcome it. So long as he didn't speak back to Shinso, he had the advantage. But if he ever was under his control, some type of force needed to be forced on Midoriya to wake him up.

'I… I can't do this… I can't win like this… Is this really the end? I'm so sorry everyone, I failed…' Midoriya's mind filled with trouble and doubt until something happened, it seemed like a sudden change in feeling that occurred to him. Shoving out all the troubles he had. He felt lighter than normal, but noticed from the dark hallway that All Might stood before appeared the outlined figures of eight people. All of them were staring at him, with their bright yellow eyes, but there was something else, standing on all fours just above them, by what seemed to be surrounded by few glowing flames that emitted the same color of the creature.

The creature wasso much larger, he couldn't tell what animal or mythical creature it was. But unlike the others, it's outlined body emitted a grayish teal color as did its eyes, as it calmly stared at the boy. What came next was extraordinary to Midoriya, as the creature howled and the eight figures raised their hands forward, came rainbow like colors that surrounded Midoriya's body. Not just empowering him, but also freeing him as his mind became clearer.

'Wait, who are they? What is this feeling? Is this…' He felt power surge through him, the feeling of warmth and control slowly come back to him. He wasn't in full control, but the moment he felt even the slightest feeling in his hands, he didn't hesitate to use One For All. Channeling his power in two of his fingers, he practically shot at the ground as a shockwave of wind brought him fully back from its overwhelming force.

As Midoriya gripped onto his injured hand, as he breathed heavily after not just gaining back control but also from the anxiety he gained after almost losing.

"NO WAY!! IZUKU MIDORIYA REGAINED CONTROL AT THE LAST SECOND!!"

"He did it!"

"Thank goodness…"

"Come on Midoriya!"

'He broke his fingers to break free from Shinso's control…' Shirou saw as he looked closely at the boy, seeing the injuries he insured. He didn't know everything that had happened in that ring, but it was still interesting to see.

Some of his classmates were relieved, while others were surprised as to how he gained back control, even Bakugo was taken by surprise. Shinso's smile disappeared when he saw his plan slowly break apart, he didn't know how but Midoriya broke free.

"Impossible, you're not supposed to fight back! How did you do it??" Shinso asked in frustration, panicking a bit as Midoriya turned back to him. Midoriya closed his mouth before he could say anything, making sure he wouldn't make the same mistake as before.

'I don't know how but I got back control, I used One For All, but I didn't move my fingers just now. Was that because of those people I saw, could it be… the past users of One For All that saved me? But what about that creature? Why did he feel familiar? Why did he look like…' He remembered what All Might first told him about One For All, how it's passed down from one user to another. If what he saw were truly the past users then they were the ones that freed him, and especially the creature. But was getting lost in his thoughts, quickly coming back to reality knowing he needed to focus. His fight wasn't over with Shinso, as he still posed a risk even without his quirk.

'This guy isn't talking back to me, does he know how my quirk works? Those two must've told him before the match, dammit, I gotta get him to talk again.' Shinso calmed himself, trying to intimidate Midoriya.

"I guess I underestimated you! I'm actually jealous now after seeing how strong your quirk truly is!" Shinso yelled, trying to have Midoriya answer back but was met with no reply.

'I know what jealousy is like, I understand how it feels to want a powerful quirk…' Midoriya started to run forward, getting closer to Shinso as his opponent continued to yell.

"I'm sure you wouldn't understand though! Being blessed with such a power that could get you so far as a hero!"

'This power is a blessing, but I still have such a long way to go! But it's because of the help and kindness of others is why I'm here!'

"You're so lucky to be where you are now! Compared to people like me we had to work our asses off to be acknowledged!!"

'Your right! I'm lucky to be standing here. But that's why I'm not gonna let the guidance and blessing from others be wasted!!!' Midoriya had finally gotten to Shinso, using his arms to push Shinso forward as he fought off the pain in his fingers.

"Come on, say something! Just talk!" Shinso yelled, getting frustrated again as he punched Midoriya's face. But to his surprise, had no effect as Midoriya kept pushing, despite landing a hit that caused his nose to bleed.

'Crap he's pushing me out, I can't let this happen to me!' Shinso looked back, seeing his side of the arena closing on him. He punched Midoriya's injured hand, giving him an opening to push the boy to the side while he grunted from the pain.

"I can't believe this! Just get out of this ring you lucky bastard!" Shinso went behind Midoriya rushing forward as he tried to push him past the line. However, on instinct and without hesitation, Midoriya grabbed Shinso's wrist and the collar of his uniform, as he threw Shinso over the same way he did to Bakugo.

'I won't let this be the end!!' As Midoriya threw Shinso past the line, slamming the purple haired boy into the ground. Many people stared with jaw dropped faces, after what they witnessed in the first match, some could only imagine what was next.

"Hitoshi Shinso is out of bounds, Midoriya shall move onto the next match!" Midnight announced as the crowd cheered for the winner. Midoriya gasped, seeing Shinso's feet had passed the line, he did it, he won his first match he thought. Midoriya looked back, seeing Shinso pulling his upper body up from the ground.

The boy felt defeated, he wanted to prove to his classmates that even he could be a hero, despite his villain-like quirk. Shinso looked up to see Midoriya offering his hand to help him up, the green haired boy seemed rather calm despite the circumstances.

"Why do you wanna be a hero?" Midoriya asked, Shinso looked away as he got up himself while avoiding any more eye contact with him.

"We all can't help what our heart yearns for…" As he answered back, Midoriya could tell how sad he was in his voice. He knew from his defeat there was no way of doing more to help, as Midoriya watched the boy walk away towards the exit. That was until the calls of his classmates and heroes congratulated the boy for his hard work.

"Shinso!! That was amazing man!"

"I never knew how incredible your quirk was!"

"Don't worry Shinso, I know you did your very best but don't give up!"

"From the looks of it with a mind quirk he can be useful in many fields as a hero."

"Yeah why didn't he get into the hero course? A mind quirk is such a rare but a powerful quirk.

"I agree, he was at a major advantage in the beginning against the other kid."

Shinso was taken again by surprise, the words that he heard from not just heroes, but his classmates. The encouragement, compliments, and appreciation he was receiving, he never got any of it before. But for the first time in his life, he was being acknowledged in a 'good way'. Shinso turned back towards Midoriya, his face seemed to have calmed down as he called out to him. It didn't take for him to reanswer the question Midoriya had asked before.

"When you asked me why I wanted to be a hero. It's because I want to not just prove I can use my quirk for good, but also prove that I can be just as strong as even the hero course students. This won't be the last time we'll meet, so be ready for our rematch, because I won't give up easily." Shinso said, Midoriya nodded to his comment as he turned around and continued to walk away.

The crowd continued to cheer as Midoriya eventually left the arena, leaving his classmates to talk amongst themselves until the next match.

"Can you guys believe that?? That was crazy!" Hagakure said, worked up about the suspenseful match.

"We'll when you put it that way just imagine how the next few matches will turn out." Asui said, Uraraka in the background becoming nervous about what she had said.

"Yeah… I wonder…" Uraraka was worried about her matchup with Bakugo, he was one of the best hero course students, scoring first place in the physical entrance exam. Since his quirk was extremely powerful too she needed a good strategy to get close, but there were so many things going through her head she couldn't think straight.

"Come now don't become worried, you'll do well on your match I'm sure of it Uraraka! Bakugo is indeed a formidable classmate but if Midoriya could beat him then so can you!" Iida stated, trying to lift her spirits as he reminded her of his encounter with Midoriya back in training.

"I heard that dumbass." Bakugo calmly said as it startled Iida and some of the other classmates. Bakugo wasn't in a way surprised Midoriya had won, but in another way he was. He managed to break free using his quirk by breaking his fingers, while also using the same throw from combat training.

Midoriya was using everything he learned up to now to increase his odds of winning, it was practically annoying Bakugo. It pissed him off even more how he's gotten this far, he wanted to win, and not lose to Deku, or to that Racoon he thought.

"Hey Bakugo, didn't Midoriya use that throw on you too? I kinda recognize it from training." Kaminari asked curiously, recognizing Midoriya's counter.

"Shut up charger." Bakugo said annoyingly, Kaminari became quiet as Kirishima tried to comfort him after Bakugo's comment until something came up in his mind.

"Hey yo where did Kagemori go? I thought I just saw her…" Kirishima said disappointedly, hoping to chat with his friend when Ashido answered.

"Oh yeah! She said she went to go look for Tokoyami, hadn't seen him since the race." Yoarashi looked over, rather curious about what was happening when Ashido finished.

"Huh really? That's weird, has anyone actually seen Tokoyami?" Kirishima asked, some people answering no or nodding the same answer.

"No, Tokoyami's been pretty quiet since the Sports Festival, plus he's been distant" Shoji said, a bit concerned for his friends well-being.

"We'll, more so than usual…" Jiro added, knowing well how the only couple of people he was friends with besides him was Shoji and Michiru. Pretty much everyone else in the class he's not very talkative with. Everyone knew it was probably ok, while they prepared to watch Todoroki and Sero's match soon.

"Brother?"

"Fumikage." Tokoyami's brother faced his fellow sibling, but all but his upper face wasn't covered by shadow.

"W-what are you doing here? I thought you were… I… I'm so sorry brother… it's my fault you're gone please forgive me." Tokoyami was shocked, trying to run up to his brother.

"It's ok brother, you don't have to prove your strength, be the hero you want to be. Accept the past, accept my passing, then you may be able to move on with those you care for." Tokoyami started running faster before his brother could finish, as he started to walk away from Tokoyami.

"I'm so sorry, please don't go! Please I can't lose you again!" Tokoyami was only a few feet away from his sibling as everything went dark, and his dreams started to fade away.

"Tokoyami?… Hello?… Wake up!" Tokoyami was startled from his rest on a tree, he woke up sweating as he took deep breaths to slow his heart rate.

He looked around trying to figure out who called to him, looking down to see Michiru a bit worried.

"Kagemori? You startled me.." He said, as he climbed down.

"Oh I'm sorry, I needed to make sure you weren't dead is all." Michiru joked, Tokoyami rolled his eyes to the tree just before he got down.

"No one has seen you though, everything ok?" Michiru asked, Tokoyami looked away hesitantly sighing.

"Yes I'm fine… I was just tired and needed rest." He lied, Michiru tilted her head, she knew he was quiet but with how he acted, she knew something was wrong.

"Oh ok, just wanted to make sure you were gonna come watch the matches. Todoroki is about to fight Sero so we should get going."

"Wouldn't be surprised if Todoroki won, his quirk makes him much stronger than most, but Bakugou may as well win the festival…"

"Ok? Doesn't mean we should give up right?" Michiru tried to be positive, but Tokoyami continued his little speech.

"All people desire is strength so they may endure the pains of society, even heroes. Even people in our class don't see it but they want strength so they may be at that same level..." Tokoyami said, Michiru became a bit concerned, noticing something off about him.

"Are you sure you're alright? You seem quieter than usual, and you're actually acting weird." Michiru asked, quoting with hopes of getting an answer from Tokoyami.

"Does that matter to you?" Tokoyami said out of nowhere, immediately regretting what he said as he tried to walk away, down the path towards the stadium, away from his speechless friend.

"Well… I mean… you're my friend, of course it matters. I just wanna make sure you're alright is all, it's what friends do." Michiru caught up beside him, as he continued to ignore looking over at her.

"Friends…" Tokoyami said aloud, as he stopped, Michiru started to become confused.

"Why do you call me that?" Tokoyami looked back at Michiru, the look he had become familiar to her, the same look he had from when she first saw him in class. It was as if he was staring into her soul, with his red eyes.

"I don't understand, aren't we friends? After all this time since we've met back in junior high?"

"You don't know me… you don't even know half of my life and you just get to say we're friends?" Michiru was baffled at what she was hearing, growing more offended by the minute.

"What's your problem Tokoyami?? I mean you don't know everything about me and you don't see me making a big deal out of it!"

"Like when you've been holding back this whole time?" Tokoyami boldly said, Michiru suddenly went quiet, confused over his question.

"W-what? What are you-"

"Don't lie to me, I've seen what you can do. I saw you glowing during the race and your speed, you went through with such ease while the rest of us were scrambling like mice on traps. The funny thing is they looked so easy for you as if you've done it before, you look more experience then even Bakugo. Not to mention how you reacted back at the USJ or combat training."

"What are you talking about that doesn't make sense, I'm new to this like all of our classmates." Michiru lied, she had no choice but Tokoyami was right. Her experiences back at Animacity helped her hone her abilities to where they were now. But no matter how much it pained her she couldn't say anything, not even to Tokoyami.

"Maybe, but ever since we've met you've been so far ahead of even our old classmates. You've been better at everything, even with your quirk…" Michiru started to think to herself over his words, so many questions popped in her head but she was still conflicted over him.

'Wait, is he jealous? Because of my powers? Or is this something else??'

"Tokoyami if you just calm down and start over we can-" Michiru reached out, only to miss his shoulder as her hand was swatted away by him.

"We're not here to talk, we're here to compete in this festival. That's why you better not hold back anymore, because I won't." Tokoyami didn't even know what he was doing, he wasn't even sure if what he was doing was right. He was so conflicted, Michiru was his first friend, and yet he was pushing her away. But he felt jealous over the fact of how strong she was, how fast she came up top when people like him went through so much. But he didn't understand everything yet, he didn't know what had happened in the race, or what she had been through. The same went for Michiru as not even she understood what happened with Tokoyami.

He looked back at Michiru, who held her swatted hand as she looked at him, her face filled with sadness and shock. He decided to be done with the pain, as he walked away finishing his sentence.

"We're just here, to be hero's… not friends… nothing more…" Michiru tightened her hand, aggressively groaning as she yelled at Tokoyami in frustration.

"I don't know what's going on, but it doesn't mean you take it out on me! You know despite you being the loneliest and quietest person in class I still wanted to talk to you! I'm sure if I didn't you'd still be brooding like you always do over that stupid desk I first saw you on!" Michiru came to her senses, covering her mouth as her heart dropped to her stomach as he looked back with widened eyes.

"Fumikage I-"

"I see, so that's what you think of me? Why am I not surprised, what a fool I am not seeing it sooner… " Tokoyami's face was emotionless, turning back looking down as he continued off, leaving Michiru on her knees in regret, having no clue rather to feel angry at Tokoyami, or angry at herself. Everything was rushed, Michiru didn't know what was going on, but she needed to find out for herself. It pained her to go through it again, but just like what happened with Nazuna, she needed to do things the hard way to get answers.

She suddenly felt the ground shake, coming to as she looked back at the stadium realizing how much time went by. She had spent time trying to find Tokoyami; she didn't realize Todoroki's match had started, seeing an overwhelmingly large mountain of ice that reached just to the top of the stadium. Not even believing what she saw, she just watched, gasping in shock.

"Huh?! Don't tell me Todoroki's doing that?!"

Shirou on the other hand stared blankly at the arena, jaw dropped at the sight of the ice that practically touched the audience all the way up to the roof of the stadium.

No one in the stadium said anything, not even the staff had any words, all except Hound Dog who blatantly said aloud.

"What… in the actual fuck just happened?…."

"I… have no clue…" Thirteen said, no one scolded Hound Dog due to their shared shock towards Todoroki's quirk.

Meanwhile down at the arena, Todoroki panted as a cold mist came from his mouth. His entire right side was covered in frost all over, but despite the freezing cold he managed to break free from Sero's tape that had completely frozen over.

"Uh, T-T-Todoroki, I think y-you may have gone a bit too far w-with the ice…" The ice Todoroki made had sealed Sero in from bottom all the way up to his chest, Sero couldn't even shiver from how stuck he was.

"Sero, be honest. Can you move?" Midnight said, trying to fight off the freezing cold from the ice that was stuck on her.

'God it's freezing.'

"N-no I can't even move my body!" Sero admitted, as Midnight declared with her unfrozen left arm raising it upwards.

"Hanta Sero has been immobilized! Shoto Todoroki moves on to the next match!" Just after Midnight declared Todoroki as the winner, the crowd started to cheer for Sero after he tried his best against his opponent. But even though he had won the match, it brought Todoroki no comfort for he had lost control in that moment. He approached Sero, placing his left hand directly onto his chest as he started to melt the ice off his body.

"I'm sorry, I got carried away… I was just so angry..." He said sadly, avoiding eye contact with Sero as he looked to the stand, seeing his own father look back in disappointment.

'It would be easier for you to win this festival if you'd just use your left side. Enough of this little rebellion Shoto, this is the reason why you exist, to surpass All Might.' He hated him so much, Shoto wanted to make his fathers life miserable by refusing to be his tool, but he felt like no matter how hard he tried he couldn't escape what felt like his destiny.

Midoriya was the only person that truly knew what was going on, he knew the look Todoroki had was nothing but sadness and regret. He wanted him to see something different, Midoriya wanted Todoroki to see the good he could do with his quirk, which was why he needed to help him.

Earlier in Recovery Girls Office

"A-a ghost?? You saw me as a ghost??" All Might said, getting goosebumps after he heard what Midoriya saw in his vision. He was indeed proud of how well he did and especially how he broke free, but when he explained what happened it made sense. The past users of One For All were connected with him, using their will to break him free of Shinso's control, but after hearing how he too was there made him shiver, like he was half alive or dead.

"Oh come on this hasn't happened to you?! I-I thought you may have had an answer for this!" Midoriya frantically said, worried over the fact All Might was confused and nervous about Midoriya's vision.

"Well… I actually saw something like that during my younger years. I think… what you saw was a trace or a part of each user's spirit. That's probably why you saw me in your vision as well." All Might explained, thinking back to his prime.

"Oh so um, what does this mean then?"

"It means you're getting yourself closer to making One For All your own power. So don't worry, this is good from what you've experienced." All Might reassured the boy, but for some odd reason it brought no comfort as Midoriya looked down. Recovery Girl could tell he was troubled, knowing for sure it wasn't her place to ask.

"I'm… not sure if that's the case…" Midoriya said, he felt his heart practically beating from his chest, he didn't know where to start or what to say. He remembered nine figures, all previous users of One For All, but something else as well, a creature that took the form of what looked like a large wolf.

"I saw something else… it looked like a wolf I think... But it was surrounded by small floating single flames. Both of which were a silver-teal color, I don't know… but I think this has something to do with the beastfactor Mr. Ogami talked about." All Might showed no expression, holding his chin processing this information while Recovery Girl watched.

"And that's not all… earlier, just after I talked to Todoroki. I saw my arm covered in fur, but it turns out I was seeing things… All Might, you don't think…" All Might gasped, wondering if what he feared was only gonna happen sooner to his successor.

"I see… this is what I was afraid of... It looks like in your case, One For All isn't the only thing you're getting control of. Your visions seem to be connected all together."

"What does that mean??" Midoriya asked, as Recovery girl stepped out of her chair and approached the boy.

"It means the beastfactor may be starting to activate in your cells, which means not only your experiencing visions of One For All but at the same time experiencing your transformation into a beastman."

"But don't worry, the only difference is you'll have the capability to morph yourself into a animal like Michiru and Shirou. But of course your classmates or other people can't know your abilities are the same." Recovery girl reminded Midoriya of the risks, like One For All, he would have no choice but to claim it's a dual quirk once he gains this power. But despite his concerns over One For All being affected, he didn't have much of a choice. He reminded himself in his head as he gripped into his previously injured hand, feeling more troubled by the second.

"Don't worry kid, don't let those facts bring you down. We need to stay focused, and don't worry we prepared for this right?" All Might smiled, as Midoriya nervously nodded.

"Right."

"Good, now go on out and catch up with your classmates! You wouldn't want to miss the next match for sure." All Might pointed out Todoroki's match was coming up, as Midoriya walked out of the room he sighed tiredly, rubbing his eyes as he sat on one of the beds.

"To think training Midoriya was gonna be easy at first…"

"You know better that training your successor is time consuming, Gran Torino and Shimura had enough on their plates dealing with you." Recovery Girl joked as All Might recalled when he was much younger how hard it was for him, Midoriya was taking the same steps as he did since they were both quirkless. Shimura always had a gentle heart and gave him guidance, while Gran Torino practically terrified him now after how much harsh training he gave him. He used to think he did that just because he didn't like him.

"You make it sound like it was a burden then a blessing." All Might said back, as Recovery Girl turned back to her computer to continue where she left off on her work.

"I'm sure every other user of One For All thought the same thing as you did. Your training is still far from over with the boy, I just hope the boy doesn't get overwhelmed."

"You're not wrong, still need to figure out how to keep him from breaking his bones every time he uses it…" All Might told himself, the difference between him and Midoriya was he was able to use 100% of One For All easily but in Midoriya's case it was different. But he couldn't help but continue to worry for the boy. One For All not only absorbs the spirit of the user but their quirks as well, but he feared the beastfactor may cause more problems than solutions.

'I just hope he doesn't push himself too far during his next match…' All Might would soon regret what he thought in his mind, and as will Shirou as they will soon watch a match that'll leave the audience stunned.

Flashback Over

'I can't let him put himself through this, if he wants to be a hero, he shouldn't be afraid to use his power.' Midoriya thought to himself, despite having the desire to win and make his mentor proud, he couldn't help but at the time wanted to help Todoroki.

"You okay Deku?" Uraraka asked, taking the boy by surprise as he processed her question for a moment.

"Oh um yeah I'm fine! Thank you for asking!"

"You should focus Midoriya, watching the others compete could give you a chance to learn something and perhaps strategize!" Iida stated giving Midoriya an idea, since some of the competitors were from their sister class he could take notes on them. He excitedly pulled out his notebook and pen, making a few quick notes on some of his classmates while Uraraka looked over.

"You really take notes on everyone's quirks?" She curiously asked, Midoriya turned over smiling.

"Yeah! I just loved researching and learning more about heroes and quirks, it's been kind of a hobby for me for years!" Midoriya noticed from the edge of his eye he saw Tokoyami walking back down, as some of his classmates looked over as well.

"Oh hey there you are! We've been wondering where you were!" Yoarashi said, coming up to greet his classmate but seemed to receive a cold reply.

"I'm aware, Kagemori came looking for me." He said as he walked past Yoarashi. He continued to stay quiet as he sat down people realized he was isolating himself from his class, despite being a couple seats away from them something was wrong. Moments later Michiru arrived looking down as she kept her hands in her pockets.

"Hey hey hey! You just missed Todoroki's match, where were you??" Ashido marched giving Michiru a hard time jokingly,

"A long story, that I have no interest in talking about…" Michiru said with a sad tone, as did Tokoyami, she walked past her avoiding eye contact, while her friend looked back at her in confusion.

"What's wrong? Did something happen?" Ashido was stubborn but also concerned, walking up to grab her shoulder when Michiru grabbed her hand.

"Please Ashido, just… not now…" Michiru gently lowered Ashido's hand while the class watched, the girl that was always so positive and courageous felt reserved and empty. Michiru went a few seats away from her classmates, but just across from Midoriya's row as she stared emotionless at the arena.

The class seemed to be confused between the two students, only to soon realize something may have happened, and now their friendship was on the line. Some wanted to ask, but they knew from Michiru's reaction and Tokoyami's coldness that it wasn't the best time.

'You better not hold back Kagemori, I'll prove it to you. I'll prove I can be strong.'

'I don't know why you're acting like this, you've never been this way… but I'm gonna find out, I'm not gonna let you go through with this Tokoyami…' Michiru looked at Tokoyami, frustrated as she gripped her hands together hard. If a fight was what he wanted then she would gladly give it to her, but something else was provoking him, she needed to find out what.

For the rest of the time, the class had an awkward silence, which ended only minutes later as the next match would continue on in the sports festival….
