Hey guys! So this is my first fanfic, Child of Hera, and I hope you like it! I honestly do not know why I created this story, but I was bored and it popped into my mind. This will probably not be a very long story since school has started, but I guess we'll see! I would appreciate creative criticism, but if it is just a plain insult to my work with no way to back it up, I probably will not carry on with the story. Thank you!

Silva Woode POV:
Being a demigod was never easy, was it? Especially since I was an illegal one.
My name is Silva Woode, and is been living on my own for 3 years. My father died in a freak car accident, and my mother is an Olympian goddess.
You might be thinking "how cool is it that you already know that you're a demigod?? Most kids found out after they got to Camp Half-blood!"
Well I'd never been to camp half-blood, and I certainly wasn't planning to.
See, my mother is Hera. Yup, good ol' goddess of marriage blah blah blah.
Two years ago i was just sitting in a normal old alley when a breathtaking woman appeared in front of me. She introduced herself as Hera, and explained to me about being a demigod and stuff. She also said that the Olympian's knew of my existence, and of how much trouble she'd gotten in, especially from her husband Zeus. Hera had told me she'd thought it was a bit hypocritical, seeing as Zeus had slept with hundreds of women, and how Hera had allowed it.
She told me that seventeen years ago, she'd been walking in New York, disguised as a human, and had met a man. Hera had been tired of being the only Olympian without a Demigod child, or, in Artemis' case, hunters. She'd slept with the man, my father, Felix Woode, and voila! Me.
Naturally I didn't believe her. But before she left she gave me a bronze knife. She said it would protect me. I still didn't believe it until one day when I fell off an alarming height,
and found I could control the wind.
Now you might be thinking that only Zeus' children have that power, but you are wrong. Hera was considered to be an Air Goddess and I inherited some of that power.
About two years later, I was sitting in another old alley when these two teenagers came up to me (I should probably mention I'm sixteen) and my first thought was why do people keep coming up to me in alleys? Was it impossible for me to be alone? It was a boy and girl, and I could immediately tell they were demigods by their scent.
Yeah, I'd learn how to scent a demigod. It helped a lot when I wanted to stay unseen. They both seemed like they were sixteen or seventeen. The boy was muscular, with sea green eyes and raven black hair. A Poseidon child, I noted with interest. He seemed like a rather cheerful person, and I felt a little wary of him (I normally don't like hanging around cheerful people. They're annoying.)
The girl—probably his girlfriend by the looks of it—had long honey blond curls that were pulled up in a messy ponytail. She had shocking stormy grey eyes which made me suspect her as a child of Athena.
I'd spent hours in libraries reading up on everything Greek myth. A nice little librarian lady had noticed I liked them so much, she constantly added them to special pile for me. I'd learned everything about the Greek and Roman gods I could find.
The girl walked up to me and and put out her hand. I looked at her stonily. The girl, not missing a beat, said
"hello, I'm Annabeth Chase and that's my boyfriend, Percy Jackson."
"Pleased to meet you. My name is Silva Woode, and that corner of the alley is open, if you'd like to take it." I offered, not looking up from the dirty magazine I was reading. The boy, Percy, laughed.
"No thanks, but it was nice of you to offer," He said smiling. I tried to look confused. I wanted them to think I was some helpless mortal orphan girl. Not a powerful demigod.
"So why are you here, then? It can't possibly be me, no one knows me." Percy looked at Annabeth and said to her in Greek
"she's probably just a stupid little girl, Annabeth, not a demigod. Chiron's lead was wrong." Involuntarily, the words
"I'm not stupid" came out of my mouth. Both looked at me. Then Percy grinned.
"At least my trap worked. I never would have said that actually. I wanted to see if you'd rise to the bait." Annabeth slapped her forehead, and I glared. My charade was up.
"Fine, Sea Spawn" I said. "I'm a demigod, happy?" Percy looked surprised I knew who his father was. He couldn't fool me. I could detect the scent of him.
"You...?" I smiled at the look on his face.
"Yeah, I know you're a Poseidon child. Athena, right?" I asked looking at Annabeth. She nodded. "Right," I said standing up. "I guess I should introduce myself properly then, huh?"
"Yes." Annabeth said. I sighed, not looking very happy at what was coming next. Sorry, Mother, I guess I'm going to go to Camp Half Blood, and cause a lot of drama. At least the rest of the Olympian's know, though, so at least you won't be punished again. Icould almost see Hera smacking her palm against her face, and grinned. "Well anyways, my name is Silva June Woode, and the daughter of—" I saw Percy lean forward, probably wanting to know my godly parent "—Felix Woode, and... Hera." I saw shock etched perfectly on Annabeth and Percy's face. It was priceless.
