This is based on the pilot of Merlin, Season 1, Episode 1.  Warning: contains M/m spanking, otk, hand/Pairing Gaius/Merlin Merlin disobeys Gaius' order to not perform magic in Camelot. Arthur taunts Merlin and then gets into a street fight where Gaius sees Merlin use his magic to best Arthur anyway. Arthur wins and Merlin gets a spanking.

He really should have listened to Gaius. A head injury was never a good thing to ignore but who knows how long it had been since Aulfric and Sophia had left with Arthur? He had to get a move on if he stood any chance of saving him. (Set in s01e07. Merlin is determined to save Arthur from the Sidhe's clutches, no matter the risk to his own health.)

I love Merlin, but mostly because the writers have done such a good job exploring the love between Arthur and Gwen. BUT, once they get married, I really think the writers dropped the ball.
