This is a 1st-person, comedic novelization of the very first Zelda game as told by Link if using the thoughts and experiences of an average player's first run-through, pre-Google/YT. The twist is it assumes everything is real life, so all game mechanics, no matter how peculiar or nonsensical have to be explained in practical terms, which is where much of the humor comes from.

Link doesn't know what to do with his life after saving Hyrule with Zelda.
