Disclaimer: I do not own Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Rick Riordan is a genius when it comes to adapting mythology and I wish I could have written what he has.

Thank you everyone who reviewed or that they liked my stories I always appreciate reviews. Thank you also anyone who favorited or followed my story.

This has been a trying year for everyone and I hope you all are making it through alright. For myself I had no desire to write at all this year, and even my personal non fanfiction projects fell to the wayside. But I am now back. Thank you to all the people who were out there this year trying to make things better especially all first responders who worked tirelessly to help those affected by the pandemic.

ro781727: I won't make all the clear sighted mortals legacies, but I liked the idea of Sally being a descendant of Aphrodite, ever since Riordan mentioned that Sally's eyes changed when she got closer to the sea. It might have been just Percy observing how his mother felt better near the ocean, but I like the idea that her eyes are a left over from Aphrodite.

Isy123: I had to put your response through Google translate so I hope I am answering right. The reaction from the gods will be in a chapter or two, which hopefully will not take another year but I am terrible with keeping up with my stories sorry to everyone. Apollo is not going to be happy his bachelor days are over and he will not be happy with Daphne's name. I also put my response in google translate I hope it is ok.

Lady Syndra: Thanks for the review. I don't have as much practice with first person as third and also I Daphne is pretty immature right now, she is only twelve and other than monsters has had a good life, so she really shouldn't be too mature yet. Styx is an actual goddess. She is one of the Oceanids, and is actually the mother of Nike goddess of victory, as well as a few other gods. I don't think she is ever mentioned in the Percy Jackson series but I have a feeling that she is pretty pissed off when people break their oaths. And people do suffer for the broken Oaths, just look at Thalia.

Guests: Not sure if you are one person or two but this is for both of you who reviewed on 12/6. I will try to work harder on proof reading, and Apollo will be a bit of an ass, he wouldn't be Apollo if he wasn't.

Lilly-daughter of Radolso: I am so glad you like the fic. I also am not a fan of some fem character stories that just seem to follow the original too closely. Girls at their core think and mature differently than boys so it changes the perspective and their reactions a bit. Also thankyou foe the ment/meant correction.

Purplecatgarden: thanks for your review. I wanted to give Amphitrite more to do than just be bitter. I also think it's weird that neither she nor Persephone have any halfbloods in the books. Amphitrite I can kind of see, and she might have had kids with mermen, but Persephone is away from the underworld half the year and as goddess of spring she might as well be a fertility deity. I mean I know they don't have kids in the myths but thousands of years is a long time to only have kids with your husband.

Sams: Thanks Rachel is one of my favorite characters so I was glad to find awayto bring her into the story earlier. Annabeth will not be gender flipped and she will probably be going, I'm just not sure on their third yet.

Death Fury, Lilias Peverell, Loki Odinson123, Horus369, foxchick1, Delphine Pryde, , Faery66, , FaeGhostReader, Katherine Sparrow, yurika04fujihara, Persia J, ggukmibi : Thank you for your reviews I am so glad you like my story, and I am finally updating hooray. I have terrible writers block and a lot of procrastination as well as other projects that I work on so while I will say that I might get to this story more I will not give into false hope. I am also still going to work during the pandemic so I don't have as much free time as others might during this time.

Golden Tides

I Find Out the Family Business

I faded in and out of consciousness for a while. The dreams were the worst. I saw my mom exploding into gold dust, Grover and a bull arm wrestling over food, and a hurricane and a thunderstorm smashing each other like Beyblades. Being conscious wasn't much better. Every time I woke up, it let like my head was splitting open. The first time I remember waking up, a blonde girl was feeding me frozen hot chocolate flavored pudding.

"What's happening on the solstice, what was taken." She demanded. Before I could do more than a confused what, a blonde haired kid came in.

"We don't interrogate patients, Ann" Was all I heard before I was dreaming again. The next time I saw this weird surfer dude with what looked like a bunch of eyes tattooed on him, wave someone over before I passed out.

The third time I woke up the pain was not nearly as bad, and I was able to sit up. My arms felt like noodles as I pushed myself into a seating position, and I was afraid that I would fall back any second. Finally vertical I saw a glass with a golden drink, with ice cubes next to the bed. I grabbed the glass with both hands and took a sip. I almost dropped it in surprise, it looked like apple juice, but it tasted like the mango lassi I always ordered from the Indian place, down the block from our apartment.

My eyes welled with tears as I drank. My mom was gone, I remember that headache or no, she was killed by the minotaur, and she was never coming back. We would never have fun at the beach with my dad and mother. We would never have our Indian nights where we would order spicy Indian dishes with mango lassis to cool down our mouths as we watch fun over the top Bollywood movies.

I pushed the empty glass to the side and sobbed into my hands. How was I going to go on? I wasn't sure if I could live with my dad, would I be stuffed into boarding school until college with no home to go back to. Then I thought about my dad and Mother while they were not in love anymore they stilled loved my mom how was I supposed to tell them that she was killed by something out myth. I had never mentioned any of the strange stuff that happened to me to them, would they even believe me if I told them what killed mom.

My crying got harder and someone pulled me into a hug. I put my face into a slim shoulder and soaked it with my tears. I finally came down from my cry fest and pulled back to see who I was balling on. To my surprise it was a kid a few years younger than me. He had golden blonde hair bright blue eyes and a smile like the sun.

"I'm sorry" I said my nose stuffed from crying.

"It's fine." Smiles said as he hands me a tissue from the table. "I'm Will. Grover called me in when he realized you were crying. Something about wanting to comfort you and still have useable arms." He pointed to the open door way where I saw Grover peeking in.

"I thought he was some sort of stalker creep, and told him that if he touched me I would break his arm." I said.

"And now you know that he's not a stalker or a creep?" Will asked. I thought back to how Grover tried to get my mom and I to safety and was hurt in the process.

"He seems like a good guy, is he okay I remember him unconscious last night?" I asked. From the door Grover gave me a thumbs up and then left.

"Two nights ago actually you had a nasty concussion from the old bull. Your looking better now, and your eyes are focused. How's the pain?" Will asked as he shined a light at my eyes.

"It's much better especially after I had the drink. Was there headache medicine in it?" I asked.

"The nectar? I guess you could say that." Will said looking a little shift for a moment. "Let's get you outside some sunlight will do you some good. Plus Mr. D and Chiron wanted to talk to you once you woke up, and I want to see how you handle walking."

He helped me up and stayed next to me as I shuffled out to the porch and onto a chair. By the time I got there my legs were shaking and I was glad to sit down. It was a beautiful day the sun was shining and, the hill I climbed last night looked like a much more inviting place than it did during my terrifying battle. I wanted to scowl it should be pouring, why should the world be happy when my mom was gone and I was sad.

"I'm not sure if you should be walking to far yet, take a break and I'll get you some water, you're probably a bit dehydrated." He said before disappearing back inside for a moment. He came back with a large glass of water, with a paper straw. I thought back to the nectar I had and realized it also had a paper straw. Nice to know where ever I was, it was ecofriendly.

"You seem to know a lot of first aid, aren't you a little young to be a doctor." I tried to joke, though my tone probably fell short I wasn't really in a joking mood. Will rubbed the back of his head and grinned.

"I'm only ten but I want to be a doctor when I grow up and my older siblings are helping me with my first aid training. Healing sort of runs in the family." he said. I just nodded and took a drink of my water. Then I kept drinking until the whole glass was gone. I had no idea I was so thirsty until the water hit my lips, but the water seemed to have done the trick I already felt much better. The small ache that was still bothering me finally went away and I felt like I could at least walk unaided now.

"Your color is definitely better now, and look Grover's back. I'll leave you in his hands, I'm late for archery practice." He said and jogged away. As soon as he was gone, Grover came over and handed me my purple duffle bag. It was intact if still a little wet.

"Here," he said. " some people went and cleaned up the car yesterday and they found your bag. You'll probably want to change before we go see Mr. D and Chiron. I'll wait here."

I didn't know what to say to the satyr. His goat legs were on display and I was trying not to stare at the proof the at the guy who thought was stalking me all year was a mythical being. I hurried back inside and found a bathroom to change in. Once in clean clothes and wishing for a shower so I could be completely clean, I head back out. Grover was still there leaning against the porch railing tapping it with a familiar dagger.

"Hey that's my mom's." I said before immediately realizing that she wouldn't need it any more. My face fell and I felt tears welling in my eyes once more. Before they could fall the dagger was pushed into my hands.

"Chiron wanted me to give it back to you, he took after you tried to stab him while out of it. Even if it's safe here it's better to be armed." He said.

"Grover what is this place. You're a satyr, and Will knew that I fought the mino.." I started and Grover's eye's widened, stupid I thought mom made sure you knew names had power. "I mean Pasiphae's son. Is this a place for people who can see the monsters. Can my dad see the monsters too are they part of the mob too?"

"Look I'm not the best person to explain. Chiron wants to see you and he'll do a better job than I will so let's go. When we get there you can explain how you brought the mob into this." He lead me around the porch and I was amazed. I could see the long island sound in the distance but there was a lot in between us. There was a volleyball court, a group different looking builds in a u, further I could see the woods, strawberry fields, what looked like a Greek style arena, and these huge Greek style pillars in the distance with tables behind them.

Then we came further around the house and I saw two people sitting at a table with cards in front of them, and a girl leaning on the railing next to them. One of the men was Mr. Brunner from Elizabeth's, then there was the girl who fed me pudding and a second man who I didn't know. The girl was about my age with her hair pulled up in a pony tail. She looked like an ordinary sporty girl, until she turn toward Grover and me and I saw her eyes were this intense grey color. They looked me over immediately zeroing in on the dagger in my hand, and nodded in what seemed like approval.

The other man looked about thirty. He was a bit pudgy and had worst fashion sense than my dad, which is saying something because my dad loves Hawaiian shirts, but at least he had never worn a leopard print Hawaiian shirt. His eyes were bloodshot, like I remembered Gabe's were the morning after he got drunk. I wanted to take a step back Gabe had been a worst when he was drunk or hung over, and he was drunk a lot. I didn't need to be grabbed by another handsy drunk.

"The girl's Annabeth, and you already know Chiron, the other man is Mr. D he's camp director so be respectful." Grover says as we walk up.

"Finally you're here, I told you Chiron the youth these days has no respect for timing. They never seem to care that other people have better things to do than wait for them." The leopard shirt guy, Mr. D I reminded myself said to Mr. Brunner I guess Chiron was his first name. I should probably stick to it no one else was calling Mr. Brunner.

"Peace Mr. D Daphne is recovering from a concussion, she is supposed to be taking it slow. I'm sure once she is well again she won't make you wait." Mr. Brunner, Chiron said before giving me a look that told me to agree.

"Of course I wouldn't want to take up too much of your time, sir." I said adding the sir quickly at the end remembering that I was supposed to be respectful.

"Humph, see that you don't Daniella, I won't be waiting on any of you impertinent children." Mr. D said with a scowl, before taking a drink of his diet coke. I was about to correct him on my name when I saw Chiron shaking his head.

"So I'm guessing you have questions about what's going on. Grover told me that your mom seemed to know some, but never told you. Just to be sure do you know what this place is?" Chiron asked.

"Well my mom didn't really tell me anything, other than that my dad wanted me to come here. But I have put somethings together from what I do know." I said and I saw Chiron nod encouragingly "Putting everything I know I figured that this was some kind of summer camp that's used as a front for the Greek mob." I finished and Mr. D was suddenly choking on his soda.

"What?" He asked as his eyes watered. Annabeth leaned harder against the rail and burst out laughing.

"Don't worry. My friend and I put together that my dad was a mob boss at the beginning of the school year after watching the godfather. We haven't told anyone, and I was going to confront my parents about it this summer. I know the more I know the more trouble I could get into so I won't ask what else is going on at the camp. But I do want to know about the monsters and the sword the Mr. Brunner, I mean Chiron let me use against the one at the Met. I had no idea that the mob knew about them and could see them too let alone that they had monster killing swords." I said in a rush to reassure the man though I did wonder where my great- great-granddad had gotten the knife if the weapons were restricted to the mob.

"Child," Chiron said pinching his nose like he was getting a headache. Then he looked over to the still laughing girl. "Annabeth why don't you go alert cabin eleven to the new camper they will be having."

The girls was still giggling as she saluted Chiron and took off towards the u of buildings, blonde hair flying behind her.

"Now then Daphne we are not part of the mob." He says very clearly, and I realize that he is making sure I knew the story.

"Of course, this camp is not part of the mob, there is nothing criminal going on here and the only thing growing is strawberries." I said to Chiron with a wink. Mr. D turned his head to the ceiling like he was praying and I thought I heard him mumble why father. Chiron rubbed his forehead and sighed.

"No, look Daphne forget about the mob for a second and lets start over. What do you know about the gods?" Chiron asked. At first I thought he was asking about God which I don't really know much about. Mom never took me to church, I don't think we even owned a bible. Then I realized that gods was plural.

"Like ancient gods from myths and stuff, like Thor, Apollo, Jupiter…"

"Let's just focus on the Greek pantheon right now." Chiron interrupted looking at the sky with worry.

"Ok. I know about the Greek gods, you know I know, seeing as you had me grade quizzes about them for as your assistant. Actually why were you using the Greek names for the gods while you were teaching Latin?" I ask my ADHD acting up, pulling my focus to a useless piece of information.

"That's not really important right now. What is important is that the gods that you learned about are real and this is a camp for people who have a connection to them." Chiron said, and I thought sure it made sense to believe in the gods, especially if you could see all the Greek monsters around.

"I get it," I said and Chiron sighed in relief. Which I totally get religious persecution is no joke. "You guys are pagans. Don't worry I won't judge, this is America and my mom and I were never super religious. Though I had no idea that the Greek mob would be pagan I thought you would be Greek orthodox or something."

"That's it you will give up on this Greek mob idea of yours or I will make you as mad as you are making me." Mr. D said slamming down his soda. Then he caught my eye. His eyes burned with a sort of purple fire that gave way to horrifying images of grape vines strangling people, of people writhing in agony as they changed into dolphins and of women with crazy eyes dancing around a fire. I suddenly got why Chiron was talking about the gods being real. Mr. D was a god and from what I saw in his eyes I could guess which one.

"You're a god. You're Dionysus." I said my voice sounding distant, like I was coming out of a dream. The gods were real. I already believed in monsters I can convince myself that gods existed.. My mind suddenly started to spiral did that me that other gods were real too, at least the roman ones had to be right. My mouth ran as my mind thought up possibilities. "It is Dionysus right, Chiron said Greek so it's not Bac…."

Slam. Mr. D slammed down his cam again his teeth clenched, as he glared at me.

"I am a Greek god brat, don't bring up those murderous, conquering Romans again." The Pissed off god said. " if you are so interested in the Romans I'm sure we can set up a history lesson and you can be an example of what they did to the Greeks."

"Easy Mr. D, she doesn't know anything yet. Once it's explained she will know how to address you and everyone else." Chiron said as he game me a look that that said apologize now. I didn't really want to just because I was curious and my mouth ran away a bit didn't mean he should be this mad at me, but then I remembered all the myths I read and what an angry god could do to a person.

Quickly I got up, glad I thought it would be easier to put on one of my summer skirts than to try and put on shorts, and I dipped into a deep curtsy. As there was an ancient being in front of me i thought I better try to be a bit formal.

"I apologize Lord Dionysus. I will endeavor to learn the right way to do things as quickly as possible." I said looking down.

"Hmmph. Well I guess some of you brats can learn at least basic manners, but don't let it happen again." The wine god said, though he definitely seemed a lot less mad.

"Now that that's out of the way. The way you talked about your father, even with your odd fixation on the mob, makes it seem like you've met him at least once. Do you know who he is?" Chiron asked and suddenly I had an insane revelation. If my dad was a Greek god and his name was his real name then that meant that he was Poseidon. He would be one of the most important and powerful Greek gods, one of the three sons of Kronos. But that couldn't be right. My dad was to easy going and goofy to be a Greek god. I mean what kind of god wore Hawaiian shirts, present company excluded.

"I get that the god's are real. It's kind of hard not to when I my friend and I have seen and been attacked by monsters, and there is a god at the table. But my dad can't be a god. I see him every summer, and if he was a god there would be no way I would see him so much. I remember the myths. There is not a lot of mention of the gods coming down to hang out at the beach with their kids." I said.

Mr. D and Chiron shared an odd and concerned look, while Grover stared at me in shock. This just made me more sure that they were wrong. I pushed away the voice in my mind that said my dad was the one who wanted me to go to this camp and he had the name of a god. My dad was a mob boss, nothing more.

"What's your father's name anyway?" Chiron asked. "If you don't think they have the name of a Greek god they could be using a little known title as their name or are a lesser known god. Being attacked by monsters and having ADHD and Dyslexia are signs of being a halfblood. And to have the bane of Theseus after you means that you are a pretty strong halfblood. Though from what Grover said about your mother having a great-grandparent's knife having divine blood on both sides of the family could boost your own power and make you more appealing to monsters."

I started to shake my head. There was just no way. And I know you all must be thinking that I need to move to a certain river in Egypt, but I didn't want to believe my dad was a god. I knew the myths and the children of gods did not have happy lives. You just had to look Herakles to know that. Though most of his problems started because of his stepmom, though if my dad was a god then I probably wouldn't have to worry about my mother.

I decide I might as well tell them. Chiron, Mr. D and Grover who I kinda forgot about were staring at me waiting. It would be better to tell them now instead of letting it slip out later. Besides, once I told them they would realize that it was ridiculous that my dad was that god.

However as soon as I opened my mouth to tell them it felt like salt water was going up my nose and I started sneezing. Every time I tried to tell them the same thing happened. By the third sneezing fit Chiron had rolled to my side and was rubbing my back and offering me a tissue.

"I can't say." I explained once I got over the last fit. Chiron and Mr. D just shared another look, before Mr. D stood.

"I have a meeting, Grove Underwood, we will talk about your failure with this young half-blood when I get back, so don't think I've forgotten about you." He said before he started glow. Chiron grabbed my shoulders and wrenched me around so I was no longer looking at the god. When I turned back around Mr. D was gone.

Apollo

I was tracking my sun chariot on the new app that Hermes made me waiting for D flash into the throne room so the meeting could finally start. We had been waiting forever for him but apparently having a new camper in these suspicious times meant that we had to wait for him to finish. For now we were all just hanging around. Hermes was on his phone, not that he ever got off it. Demeter was ranting to Hera probably about how her daughter wasn't eating enough cereal again. Arty looked like she was in a deep discussion with Athena, and Aphrodite was flirting with Ares across the throne room. Hephaestus noticed and was busy making something while glaring at his brother. Of course Father and Uncle P were just glaring at each other like they had been for the past six months.

I was just about to put on some music when I got a feeling. Quickly I sat upright and flashed a light to get everyone's attention.

"We should watch the new camper." I said as soon as everyone looked at me. Quickly Father threw up a view of camp half-blood porch where D was playing cards with Chiron. A good thing about being the god of prophecy, was that other's listened to you when you said they should do something. I watched the view as the newest camper walked around the house. For a kid who'd been in and out of consciousness for two days she was looking well. From the latest prayer's I heard form my kid's, Will was the one tending her. Maybe I should send him a dream or something to teach him more, it had been a while since one of my kids had such a powerful healing talent.

The kid made it to Chiron and D, and I felt a shiver as I stared at her. Now the girl was cute and would probably be very beautiful when she was older, but more importantly she was Important. This girl would play a big part in the coming fate of everything. She had a prophecy about her and there was only one prophecy that she could be apart of at this time. I went to speak when I got another feeling that I should wait. I tried to look forward to see anything else, but the future was swirling, shifting meaning we were coming up on a big change soon.

I tuned back to the kid just in time to hear Chiron ask if she knew what camp was for. Then she said "I figured that this was some kind of summer camp that's used as a front for the Greek mob."

"What!" Father boomed. Meanwhile everyone else had burst out laughing. That was certainly one of the more unique ideas one of the kids had about who their parents were. To the side I see Hermes almost falling off his throne from the hilarious declaration that we are part of the mob. Meanwhile Athena looks like she has a headache over trying to figure out how the girls got mob instead of gods. Over my laughing I hear a wheeze and looked at Uncle P and saw him with his head in his hands. By the way his shoulders were shaking and the wheezing that was coming from him, I guessed that he forgot how to breathe and forgot that he didn't need to breathe. He finally looked up and there were tears running down his face, he was laughing so hard.

Everyone had just started to stop when the kid completely misunderstood Chiron's denial. That wink set everyone off again. Out of the corner of my eye I saw father gripping the arms of his throne hard and realized that he was the only one not laughing. Right I though with the Master Bolt gone father has no sense of humor, though he really didn't have much of one before his symbol was stolen.

"Enough." Father shouted. "Apollo we are still in a crisis and have no time for this tomfoolery, why did we need to watch this when we have better things to do?" Athena the wonderful know-it-all come to my aid. Not that she realized it, Athena just always wants to be the one with the information. Doesn't matter if she's off and someone who knows the future knows more than her, she still has to be the one to give her ideas. Though in this case it works in my favor, since I am getting major vibes that it is not time to tell anyone how Important the girl is.

"Well considering she would have had to have had a least a little contact with her godly parent, for her to come up with such a theory, she could be the thief. It might even be that she doesn't know what she stole just that her parent asked her to take something." The Goddess of Wisdom explained.

"Yeah and she kind looks like Poseidon doesn't she." Ares said and I wanted to face palm, none of us wanted a war between Father and Poseidon, and this idiot just had to point out the resemblance the kid had to Zeus's main suspect. I shared a look with Arty this was not going to end well.

"Poseidon." Father growled his hands clenched to the arm of his throne.

"Peace brother. Think about how many half-blood daughter's I've had." I get a look thrown my way, and wave a bit as if to say yup still not married and happy in bachelorhood. " Besides I think she rather looks a lot like Triton whenever he is in human form. Not that he comes up to the surface often."

Just as Father was about to accuse Uncle P of using his possible grandkid to steal his Bolt, D flashes into the room. I look at the view and see Chiron leading the kid farther into camp.

"Well Dionysus, who is the child is she the one who stole my Bolt." Father asked.

"The brat's name is Daffodil Johnson, of undetermined parentage. She apparently knows who her godly parent is but seems spelled to sneeze whenever she tries to tell someone. It's suspicious, but I can't say for sure that she stole anything especially because of her misconception about the divine side of her family." D said before slumping onto his throne and pulling out a wine magazine.

"The maiden's name if Daphne Jackson, Dionysus at least get it right for your report." Arty said as I wince. Even after all these years I still remember the original Daphne. Quickly I push the thoughts away before I decide to start something again with that asshole Eros.

"It doesn't matter what the girl's name is. She is obviously related to Poseidon and obviously the thief Poseidon used to steal my bolt." Father said glaring at Uncle P again.

"One I never confirmed she was my grandchild and two I didn't steal your Master Bolt, you paranoid idiot. I'll be back when you have a real suspect." Uncle P said before he flashed away. Then his voice filled the air.

"And you better leave that poor girl alone until you have actual proof of any wrong doing. The Camp is a safe place for all half-bloods not somewhere you can smite someone on paranoia." Then his voice was gone. With Uncle P gone the meeting was over.

I flashed back to my chariot without even talking to Arty. It was summer so I had time to just drive in solitude until I got my thoughts in order. Uncle P was telling the truth when he said he didn't steal the Bolt, not that Father wanted the advice of the God of Truth, before he started a war. But there was something up with him and the girl. If I didn't know that Poseidon never had half-blood daughter's I would think that she was the one of the great prophecy. But she was probably just connected in some way to the real prophecy child. Maybe Poseidon had a son somewhere, and the girl really was Triton's daughter. She would definitely be a big help to her uncle.

I leaned back and turned on the autopilot. The future was still swirling and changing. If there was no way for me to do anything about it right now I might as well stop worrying. I push my heavier thought out of my mind and look down from my chariot, it's just about to pass over California and it's swimsuit season.
