Magic Wild
Chapter 7

Disclaimer: I don't own anything from Harry Potter, it all belongs to J.K. Rowling.
Last time: Harry and Hermione were in their first Potions class and earned Professor Snape's aide.

The day was almost done when Harry and Hermione headed for their dorm room to start what they needed to do for homework from each class. They also thought about reading ahead to prepare for tomorrows lessons, and get more aide from the other professors. Then Fawkes appeared to take them back to the dorm, and calm them down from the angry feelings they had from Ron's outburst. After grabbing Fawkes' feathers gently and being teleport back to the common room, where they heard him singing a calming song. They got out their parchment and started doing their homework from each class, like Transfiguration, Potions, Charms, and Defense Against the Dark Arts. After finishing each assignment, Harry sat in his chair and stretched out to relieve his sore muscles; while Hermione stood up to stretch too. Once they felt that they had done enough stretching, a plate of food for each appeared on the table along with a glass of pumpkin juice. It was time to get ready for bed, when Fawkes appeared again with Professor Snape alongside; Harry and Hermione were a little surprised to see him, but offered a seat on the sofa. Severus nodded in acceptance and took a seat on the sofa; he then asked, "How are you two doing? Are you having any problems with any of your classes?" They both answered with, "We're doing alright, and we enjoy all our classes except for DADA; all Professor Quirrell does is stutter and he smells like a huge batch of garlic, and History of Magic, where Professor Binns could put an insomniac to sleep with his voice." After hearing this, Professor Snape shook his head in disappointment for his fellow teachers, and at the headmaster for leaving Binns in his position all this time. Seeing Professor Snape shaking his head, both knew he was going to help them with their goals for the magical world. They gave each other a knowing look and Harry asked, "Professor, may we ask what your opinion is on the current ways of the magical world?" Severus looked in shock at this question, but answered with a sad look on his face; "I'm not proud of how things are going with every magical being, like how most magical races are not given better rights due to their blood status or due to how they're born." Harry and Hermione nodded to this and gave their answer about what their goals were, like giving all magical races an equal choice; also to remove laws that prevent anyone not a pure blood a position anywhere in the ministry. Then they shared how to remove Dumbledore from all his positions of power and to make the magical world a better place for all living in it. Snape listened with great interest and amazement for these goals, and gave his word that he would try to convince the other professors to aide them too. After they all talked, Fawkes came to take Professor Snape back to his room, and let them all sleep for the night.

While both were sleeping in their own beds, dreaming sweet dreams; downstairs floating around the common room was Harry's and Hermione's mentors; talking to each other on when they would make themselves appear to their students again, but together instead of separate like back in the forest. The spirits decided to do so the next night when both were in their common room and after doing the days homework, the spirits then seemed to vanish like mist until when it was time to appear again. In the headmaster's office, Albus was wondering how to get his plans back on track; he never thought that both would be in a house he could not get to. He also thought on how Fawkes could take them anywhere on his own when he was suppose to be loyal to him, and why both did not answer any of the summons to his office. It was making him upset that both were not following the path set, especially Harry; who was suppose to be easy to manipulate from his life at the Dursleys. All signs pointed to the fact that Harry had never been in his relatives care since that night, and was somehow friends with that Granger girl instead of Ron Weasley; plus both went out of their ways to avoid him at any cost. As he thought on how to change things so that his plans for the greater good were back on track, the portraits of all the previous headmasters around him were shaking their heads in disappointment and worry. The former headmasters were put off on how the school was like a chess board to Dumbledore and the students along with the other professors were just pieces to be used.

In another part of the castle, pacing around the DADA office was Professor Quirrell whispering like a crazy person, saying that he would get it for his master. At that moment, a snake like voice from under the turban said to stop wasting time and get that stone no matter what it took. Then Quirrell grabbed his face in pain as his master made his anger known to him and his body shook with nervousness. He slowly got over the pain and planned to start his mission as soon as possible.
