CHAPTER 10
Arizona stretched her arm and turned around slowly. Her eyes were still closed but they opened immediately as she felt the cold, empty sheet under her fingers instead of Callie's warm body. She propped herself up and looked around. The silence in the apartment indicated that Callie was not there. Arizona sighed and looked at Callie's pillow and then saw a note.
Got paged at 4:30 am, didn't want to wake you, I should get back in time for breakfast and we can take Sofia to daycare together.
P.S. It was nice to hold you in my arms again, looking forward to our date tonight :-).
Arizona smiled as she remembered what it felt like to have Callie close to her the night before. She looked at the baby monitor and saw Sofia still asleep so she got up and went to the bathroom and then slowly walked to Sofia's room. She tiptoed inside and watched Sofia sleep peacefully. She didn't want to wake her up so she walked back to the kitchen and made some coffee. She started preparing breakfast as well when she finally heard Sofia call from her room. She smiled and walked back to Sofia's room.
"Good morning munchkin!" Arizona greeted with a broad smile on her face.
"Mama!" Sofia screamed with joy and stretched her arms out towards Arizona.
"Oh, come here," Arizona said and took Sofia in her arms. She placed a few kisses on Sofia's cheek and placed her on the changing table. "Let's change your diaper and put some clothes on, and then we will go have breakfast, what do you say?"
Sofia giggled and grabbed her own foot as soon as it was liberated from the bottom part of her pajamas. She pulled it towards her while Arizona battled to change the diaper.
"Wait Sofia, let me do this first and then you can have your foot," she commented with a laugh.
"Mommy," Sofia called.
"Mommy had to go the hospital, she should come back soon and have breakfast with us, are you hungry, baby?"
"Yum, yum," Sofia said and made Arizona laugh with joy.
"You're so cute when you say that, you know that?" Arizona cooed. "Come on, let's take the rest of your PJs off," she said softly, knowing what scene would await her once she did that. She pulled Sofia's top part slowly up and removed Sofia's left arm out of the piece of clothing. She then switched to the other side and freed Sofia's right arm as well and gently pulled the top over her head and out of the way. Arizona's eyes welled with tears as she looked at the scar. She lightly brushed her fingers over and then leaned down and placed her lips on it.
Sofia giggled and immediately grabbed Arizona's hair.
"Ooow," Arizona complained and laughed. "Hey, no pulling the hair Sofia, that hurts!" she exclaimed, "Let go of my hair Sofia!" she tried but Sofia was having too much fun as she continued to play with her newly found toy.
Arizona heard the front door close in the background and a few moments later Callie's voice filled the apartment.
"Arizona?"
"In Sofia's room!" Arizona answered.
Callie appeared at the door and started laughing.
"I see you're being held hostage by our daughter," she teased.
"Mommy!" Sofia screamed happily not letting go of Arizona.
"We need to teach her to not grab the hair!"
"We tried, she's not listening!" Callie said through a chuckle and came closer to Sofia. "You just need to tickle her a bit and she'll let go," Callie said as she tickled Sofia who immediately started laughing and let go of Arizona's hair as she wiggled to get out of Callie's touch.
Arizona moved her head up and Callie stopped tickling.
"Again!" Sofia said happily and Arizona tickled her again as Sofia's cute laughter filled the room and made both Arizona and Callie laugh as well.
Sofia giggled so hard that she started hiccupping so Arizona stopped.
"Okay, that's enough, let's get you dressed and we can have breakfast," Arizona said as she took the top to put it on Sofia.
"How did she even get to your hair?" Callie asked as she handed Sofia's leggings to Arizona.
"I leaned down to kiss her scar…" Arizona whispered sadly.
Callie wrapped her arm around Arizona's waist, leaned forward and placed a kiss on Arizona's left cheek.
"She's fine," Callie said softly and turned to Sofia.
"You're fine, aren't you baby, happy and smiling and laughing," she said as she took Sofia in her arms. "Come on baby, time for breakfast," Callie said and started walking to the door.
"Yum, yum," Sofia repeated again and Callie laughed.
"Yes, yum! Let's get some food, mommy is starving too..." she said as she stepped out of the room.
"Arizona are you coming?" Callie called from the hallway.
Arizona stood there, her own fingers touching the spot on her cheek where Callie's lips had been a few seconds ago.
"Hmm…?" she mumbled as her brain processed what Callie had asked. "Yeah I'm coming," she finally replied and exited the room as well.
The day passed fast, Callie was busy with several surgeries and Arizona went to her PT sessions and after the afternoon one, she waited for Callie at the hospital to pick up Sofia together and go home. They had dinner and gave Sofia a bath. There was a lot of giggles, happy screams and laughter as Sofia enjoyed having both of her moms with her.
When they came back to the living room Arizona sighed happily, "It really is such pure joy to have her around."
Callie smiled, "I know, even on tough days, she just immediately lightens them up."
Arizona paused for a moment, "Were there many, you know, tough days?"
Callie laughed softly, "Nice try, Sherlock," she teased and Arizona chuckled.
"Oh, come on, you have to give me something!"
"Hmm, true…" Callie paused and thought for a second, "Okay, you asked to know more about our story the other day..."
"Exactly!"
"So I will tell you some things but it's time for our date, so first we're gonna have some dessert!" Callie said as she took Arizona's hand and pulled her towards the balcony.
"Oh, we're going outside," Arizona commented in surprise as she realized how much she was enjoying feeling Callie's fingers wrapped around her own.
"Yes, and we can pretend we are in a restaurant," Callie said joyfully as they stepped out on the balcony.
"When did you set this up?" Arizona asked in awe as her eyes reflected the light from a candle placed on the top edge of the table. A plate with one piece of Dark Swan chocolate dome cake and two spoons was set in the middle of the table as the rest of the balcony was illuminated by the dim Christmas lights.
"When I stepped out briefly while you were putting Sofia's PJs on, I just put the cake here and lit the candle, the Christmas lights are here all the time so I just plugged them in. It's nothing special but I just wanted it to feel a bit different, like we are somewhere else."
"I love it," Arizona said with a smile as she sat down. "And this, I presume, is some new kind of a dessert, because I don't remember seeing this before."
"Yes, it's your new favorite, it's called Dark Swan, well not so new anymore..."
"Interesting…" Arizona commented but didn't take the spoon.
"Is something wrong?" Callie asked as she sat down too.
"Well… I'm not surprised I have a new favorite… but since when do I share desserts?"
Callie laughed wholeheartedly, "Since one month into our dating."
"Hmm," Arizona commented not convinced. "So can you tell me more about this or is it a too important detail to share?"
"Umm," Callie thought for a second, "I think I can tell you this."
"Great!" Arizona smiled as she waited for Callie to start.
"So, on our first date you informed me that you don't share your dessert and you didn't let me take a piece of yours to taste it. I found it hilarious but I went along with it. On our second date, you ordered your favorite dessert and I ordered the Dark Swan, and I tried again to get you to allow me to taste yours but you wouldn't budge so I took a piece of my dessert with my spoon and brought it to your mouth. This is divine, I said and you have to try it. You reluctantly agreed and then you loved it so much that you wanted more, so I said, Only if you share yours. And I guess you loved the Dark Swan so much because you finally accepted. And then on our one month anniversary you came to my apartment with one Dark Swan and when I asked you in surprise why you brought only one piece of cake, you said: Well, I like you so much that I want to share all my desserts with you."
Arizona smiled, "Well, it's good to know that I was such a charmer at the beginning of our relationship."
"You still are," Callie said softly and handed Arizona one of the spoons.
"Taste it," she nudged as she took the other spoon and took a piece of the cake. "Mmmm," Callie moaned softly, "This truly is divine…"
Arizona stopped breathing and swallowed hard as she looked at Callie's face, her eyes closed, clearly enjoying the wonderful chocolate taste. Callie opened her eyes and Arizona cleared her throat when their eyes met.
"What?" Callie asked noticing Arizona's hazy gaze.
"Oh nothing, just the way you sounded right now… well, if that's the sound you produced on that second date, I am sure I accepted to share only because my head was spinning and I just wanted to hear you do that again with my spoon in your mouth."
Callie almost choked on the piece of cake in her mouth and she coughed before she managed to swallow. "See, I said you're still equally charming," Callie commented with a chuckle.
And I'm sure you were as sexy as you are today, Arizona thought but she didn't say it out loud, she smiled instead as she felt her heart start beating faster.
"So, how did we meet?" she asked taking a piece of cake.
"At a nearby bar, one day after work."
"Oh, I thought we met at the hospital, collaborating on a surgery or something."
"Nope, our paths never crossed that much before, well until we made sure they crossed," Callie explained with a smile.
Arizona smiled taking another piece of cake, "So when did it get serious?"
"You mean when did you move in?"
"Yeah, I hope we did not rush in, you know the typical lesbian U-Haul cliche that I've always mocked, please don't tell me I turned into one of those lesbians!"
Callie let out a belly laugh, "You didn't, we dated for a year and a half before we moved in."
"Thank God!" Arizona said casually as she reached out for another bite of the cake. "I really like this cake!"
"I told you it was your favorite," Callie teased making Arizona laugh.
Arizona looked up and felt lost in Callie's eyes.
"So who proposed?" she asked bluntly and took Callie by surprise.
"Oh, ummm…" Callie hesitated.
"That's too big of an info, right?" Arizona commented realizing herself that she shouldn't be getting an answer to her question.
"Yeah, kind of is…" Callie said softly and Arizona nodded her head in acceptance.
Callie immediately decided to change the course.
"Come on, it's getting chilly, let's go inside and have some tea," she suggested.
"Okay," Arizona agreed and observed Callie blow the candle out as she slowly stood up, mesmerized by Callie's lips, suddenly wishing to feel them pressed against her own. She turned around and stepped back inside as Callie took the empty plate and followed her.
Arizona got comfortable on the sofa while Callie went into the kitchen to make some tea. A few minutes later they were both sitting on the couch, each on one end, facing each other, legs stretched out.
"So, now that you are starting to feel better do you want to go to another apartment?" Callie asked taking a sip of her tea. She knew she shouldn't feel nervous about Arizona's answer because the past few days had been going so well, but she couldn't help feeling a little bit queasy.
"No, it's actually nice here, even though I don't remember this being my home, it somehow feels like home, I feel safe here, and you feel so familiar, it's like my body knows you…" Arizona explained.
Callie raised her eyebrow, "Oh really," she said in a suggestive tone.
"I didn't mean it like that!" Arizona said and teasingly pushed Callie's leg with her own.
Callie laughed out loud.
"I'll just shut up now,'" Arizona said and moved her legs to the side and sat up as she took a sip of her tea. "Do I normally drink this much tea?" Arizona quickly asked changing the subject.
"Nope, we drink wine but it's not advisable for you yet, so we are drinking tea."
"You don't have to do it for me."
Callie sat up as well and nudged Arizona's shoulder with her own.
"Hey, what kind of a loving wife would I be if I didn't support you on your journey?"
Arizona smiled, "How about you have a bit of wine and I can steal a sip from your glass?"
Callie thought for a second, "Okay," she finally accepted as a smile appeared in the corners of her mouth. She got up and walked to the kitchen to get a glass of wine.
When she got back she slowly sat down, a bit closer to Arizona, she took a sip of wine and then handed a glass to Arizona. "Only one sip," she warned.
"Yes, doctor," Arizona teased and made Callie laugh out loud wholeheartedly.
Arizona took the smell of the wine in and had a sip as Callie waited for a reaction.
"Does it taste blissfully good?"
"Umm, no. Actually, it tastes a bit weird…" Arizona admitted.
"Really? It tasted fine to me," Callie said and wrapped her fingers around the glass touching Arizona's hand as well. She took the glass and tasted the wine again.
"Hmm, it tastes fine…" she commented.
Arizona's eyes were already lost in Callie's lips as her body reacted to the touch of Callie's fingers.
"I guess I'll just have to get used to it again," Arizona commented distantly.
"Well, not yet, you shouldn't have wine anyway..." Callie said and turned to face Arizona whose eyes were glued to Callie's lips.
Callie cleared her throat and averted her eyes to the table as she placed the glass on it slowly.
"Callie…" Arizona whispered.
"Mhm…" Callie mumbled in low voice.
"I do find you attractive…" Arizona said and looked at Callie's lips again.
"You do?" Callie whispered.
Arizona nodded her head, "And I would very much like it if you would kiss me now."
Callie smiled and moved closer, she trailed her fingers up Arizona's right arm, and over her neck until her hand reached Arizona's cheek, she placed her palm on it and leaned closer letting her lips cover Arizona's softly. Arizona closed her eyes and allowed her lips to move against Callie's. Her heartbeat increased as she wrapped her fingers inside Callie's hair. The time stopped for both of them and all that existed was the electrifying touch of their lips as they both got lost in the mesmerizing moment. When their lips parted unwillingly because their bodies needed some air, Arizona leaned her forehead against Callie's forehead.
"Wow", she whispered, "it's better than I imagined."
"You have imagined me kissing you?"
"I have… you haven't kissed me since those first two days in the hospital and I vaguely remember because I was half asleep and half drugged but I do remember that when your lips touched mine, my stomach got filled with butterflies that were happily moving their wings."
Callie laughed softly, "You always did like butterflies," she said and leaned forward to let their lips meet again. Arizona let her fingers roam inside Callie's top and when she touched Callie's skin she gasped as a light moan escaped her lips. Callie's body immediately reacted as fire spread through her quickly. She let her tongue brush against Arizona's lip and immediately felt Arizona lean forward a bit more and nudge her body towards the sofa as Arizona's tongue entered her mouth. Callie smiled, this was the Arizona she knew, passionate and directly going after what she wanted.
"Mmmm," Callie moaned and pushed her hands underneath Arizona's top, letting her fingertips trail along Arizona's back. Arizona sat up, straddled Callie's legs and got rid of her own top making Callie quickly push her own body up as well, as her lips caught Arizona's neck while her fingers roamed hungrily along Arizona's half naked skin. As Callie's lips trailed down Arizona's collarbone and towards her lace covered breasts, Arizona's head dropped back.
"Callie…" she uttered breathing heavily.
"Hmm…," Callie mumbled as she pulled the fabric slightly away and wrapped her lips around Arizona's left nipple.
"Oh God," Arizona moaned and pushed her fingers into Callie's hair. All her senses got caught in a bliss as she felt Callie's tongue send shivers down her body. Arizona grabbed Callie's head and pulled it up as she lowered her lips to hungrily press them against Callie's mouth. Her hands moved down and she tugged Callie's top up and cupped her left breast with her right hand and squeezed it hard eliciting a loud moan out of Callie's mouth. Arizona sneaked her fingers inside Callie's bra and teased her taut nipple.
"Fuck!" Callie moaned getting lost in the ecstasy of Arizona's touch and felt her back touch the sofa again as Arizona pushed her down and placed herself on top of her. A persistent sound kept on filling the room but neither of them paid attention, as their mouths met again and their tongues started dancing against one another.
Arizona's fingers travelled down to Callie's skirt, she pushed it up hastily as Callie's hands followed suit and started unbuttoning Arizona's trousers. Arizona slipped her hand inside, touching Callie's right inner thigh and then suddenly paused for a few seconds as she broke their kiss. Callie's hands immediately stopped as well. Breathing heavily Arizona distanced her head a bit and looked into Callie's eyes, the desire they both felt, overwhelmingly obvious.
"Maybe we should stop…" Callie whispered.
Arizona continued to breathe heavily, she closed her eyes and touched her own lips with the fingers of her left hand. It was difficult for Callie to breathe properly but her brain finally caught the sound that was filling the room as Arizona lowered her head and captured her lips again.
"Arizona…" Callie mumbled through the kiss, "…it's my pager…"
Arizona broke the kiss and moved her body away, "Right…" she whispered out of breath.
Callie sighed heavily and trailed her fingers through her hair. She straightened her top as she got up and then walked to the kitchen table to take her pager.
"It's an emergency, I have to go…"
Arizona nodded her head, "Obviously the Universe thought it was wiser to stop us," she chuckled as she put her top back on.
Callie laughed softly, "Yeah, maybe…, will you be okay?"
"Yeah, I'll just take a cold shower and go to bed," Arizona joked making Callie laugh out loud.
"I'll just quickly change my clothes, be right back," Callie said and disappeared into the bathroom.
Arizona sat on the sofa mesmerized by all the sensations her body was still feeling, her lips burning from the touch of Callie's lips, her heart still thumping in her chest. I want more of this, Arizona thought and leaned back onto the sofa with a heavy sigh.
Callie returned after a few minutes and took her keys and her phone.
"I'll sleep on the couch tonight, I don't know how late I'll come back."
"Don't be silly, you'll be tired, you won't get any rest on the sofa, just sneak into bed, even if you wake me up I won't mind," Arizona commented with a playful tone making Callie laugh softly.
"Okay, but we are slowing down," Callie whispered and leaned over.
"Okay," Arizona whispered back as Callie placed her hands on each of Arizona's cheeks and kissed her passionately. Arizona moaned and wrapped her fingers into Callie's hair pulling her closer.
Callie allowed herself to get lost in the sensual kiss before she pulled away a bit and sighed. Arizona trailed her fingers along Callie's jaw "Thank you for the wonderful date Calliope," she whispered.
Callie felt like her heart was going to jump out of her body with joy when she heard Arizona say her full name. She smiled, "I had a great time too," Callie said softly and leaned forward to place another quick kiss on Arizona's lips.
"See you later," she added and stood up.
"Yes, see you later," Arizona replied as her eyes followed Callie walk away.
Callie turned around and waved, and Arizona did the same before Callie disappeared through the door and closed it behind her.
Arizona stared at the door for a few moments and then placed her fingers on her lips as she closed her eyes. She sighed heavily and got up slowly, I really do need a cold shower, she thought as she headed to the bedroom.
When Callie stepped out of the building she felt like she was walking on clouds. She inhaled the fresh June air and walked towards the hospital with a broad smile on her face.

It was late in the night when Callie returned home, she checked on Sofia and then slowly sneaked into bed. Arizona stirred lightly but didn't wake up, Callie placed a soft kiss on Arizona's cheek and snuggled next to her. She lightly put her arm around Arizona's body and Arizona pulled it in tighter. Callie smiled and closed her eyes. This was a perfect day and Callie was beyond happy to have Arizona so close to her again.
FRIDAY MORNING
Next morning Callie woke up hearing Arizona breathe heavily next to her. She turned around and looked at Arizona, her eyes were closed but then she let out a moan and Callie realized Arizona was heaving a wet dream.
"Mmm… yes…" she heard her mumble and chuckled briefly but her chuckle disappeared quickly feeling her own desire grow as she found herself desperately wanting to touch Arizona. When her eyes caught Arizona's hand moving lower underneath the sheet, Callie gasped and quickly jumped out of bed. I cannot stay, I should give her some privacy and besides I want to touch her, I so desperately want to touch her and if I stay I will not be able to resist…
"Oh Calliope…" Arizona moaned and Callie turned around in shock losing her balance and tipping over a bottle of water from the night stand which landed on the floor with a loud thump waking Arizona up.
"What happened?" Arizona asked opening her eyes.
"Nothing, sorry I was just clumsy and tipped over a water bottle, sorry I woke you up," Callie said nervously, avoiding to look at Arizona.
Arizona realized her hand was inside her panties as she quickly took it out, "Oh my God, was I… I'm sorry… that must have been awkward…"
"It's fine… I should give you some privacy," Callie said and quickly exited the room.
Arizona closed her eyes and as soon as she did, the scene of Callie pinning her to the wall appeared in front of them again. Arizona sighed, she wasn't sure if it was a memory or her imagination but it really felt good. She stayed in bed a few more minutes allowing her mind to be entertained, wanting to touch herself again but actually longing Callie was still there to touch her instead. She sighed heavily and got up. She went to the bathroom and as she was about to take her clothes off she realized she forgot to get the new bottle of shampoo from the other bathroom. She walked slowly out of the room. She heard some noise in the kitchen and went straight to the bathroom but stopped in her tracks immediately when she entered as Callie appeared in front of her, completely naked, drops of water sparkling on her skin and her mouth dropped open.
"I… I'm sorry, I heard noise in the kitchen… I thought you were there, I used up the shampoo last night…" Arizona explained as Callie quickly grabbed a towel and wrapped it around her body.
"I left the kettle on, it's fine, nothing you haven't seen before," Callie laughed nervously.
"Actually…, technically… it is the first time for me…" Arizona whispered as her eyes danced from Callie's lips, down along her bare shoulders which were covered with drops of water, to the area where the towel covering her breasts was moving up and down.
"Arizona…" Callie whispered and their eyes met. Arizona's breath got caught in her chest seeing the passion raising in Callie's eyes and she knew she probably couldn't hide the desire her own body was producing.
"I should leave…" Arizona whispered as she took the shower bottle from the shelf next to the door and turned around, she pressed the door handle down when she heard Callie's voice.
"Did you need anything else?" That is a stupid question Torres, Callie thought to herself, of course she didn't need anything else, she didn't even know you were here… but I don't want her to leave…, she thought.
Do I need anything else, Arizona replied in her head, I need you, I need your touch, I need to kiss you and feel your fingers on my skin. Arizona closed her eyes and again the image of Callie pinning her to the wall appeared in front of them. When Arizona tried to remember later what drove her to do the next steps she couldn't figure it out but before she was even aware of what she was doing her fingers switched the lock on the door as her left hand put the shampoo back on the shelf, she turned around and walked over to Callie, wrapped her arm around her waist and kissed her hungrily.
Callie was taken aback for a second but Arizona's lips were so alluring, she had longed for this touch for weeks and a part of her thought she should stop this from going further, but another part of her needed Arizona's touch, she needed her so much and after she got the preview the night before she didn't want to stop. While a debate was going on inside her head and her body, she felt Arizona's lips part slightly and when she felt a brush of Arizona's tongue on her lips she moaned and lost control pushing Arizona into the wall behind her.
"Have you done this before?" Arizona asked in between kisses.
Callie stopped and looked at Arizona. "Have I done what?"
"Pin me to the wall like this…"
"Many times, why?"
"That's what appeared in my dream this morning, when I…" she paused but then for some reason she felt that saying it out loud would probably turn Callie on, "when I touched myself," Arizona finished and watched as fire lit up Callie's eyes.
Arizona smiled and pulled Callie back to her lips. "So I guess it was a memory and not a fantasy," Arizona mumbled.
Callie pulled back again, "You've fantasized about this?"
"I have," Arizona said, "I feel so drawn to you, even though it is technically like I've just met you, but you seem and feel so familiar, and my body just reacts to your touch, and to your lips... and the little glances that you give me thinking that I don't notice them… I have noticed every sigh and every gasp, I have noticed every spark in your eyes and every moment when you wanted to touch me more but prevented yourself from doing it…"
Arizona took Callie's hand and pushed it inside her panties. "I want you to touch me now…" she whispered and kissed Callie with mouth open, her tongue pushing inside Callie's mouth feeling Callie's body tremble at the touch.
"You are sure about this?" Callie still hesitated, her hand not moving. "I mean… I want you to want this, I need you to want this too…"
Arizona moved her right hand inside the towel and along Callie's inner thigh and brushed her fingers against Callie's center before burying them inside Callie's folds. Callie closed her eyes and gasped.
"I want you, Calliope," Arizona whispered, surprising both Callie and herself that she was using Callie's full name. She placed her lips on Callie's neck and licked the soft skin while she quickly pushed Callie's towel out of the way with her left hand and moved her fingers up and down Callie's folds. She felt Callie's body tremble at her touch and she wanted to feel it again so she circled the bundle of nerves under her fingers inciting Callie to do the same which caused Arizona to arch her back and smile.
"Oh God yes…" Arizona moaned when she finally felt the touch she was longing for.
They both started slowly but as the fire in them built up, their fingers picked up speed. After a few minutes Arizona uttered intermittently,
"Callie… mmm… I want… more…"
"It might be too much…" Callie spoke with heavy breath. "We're standing, and you're still recover… ahhh…" she moaned as Arizona pushed two fingers inside Callie's walls.
"Arizona…" Callie mumbled, "…it might be too much for you…"
Arizona moved her mouth to Callie's ear, took her earlobe between her teeth and nibbled on it. "I want to feel your fingers inside me Calliope…" she whispered in husky voice as her fingers moved out and in again.
"God…," Callie moaned and felt her desire grow even more as Arizona pushed her hips up wanting to feel Callie's fingers closer to her entrance and then caught Callie's hand with her left one and pushed it back.
"Fuck," Callie muttered when the tips of her fingers felt the outer edges of Arizona's entrance and she couldn't hold back anymore as she pushed two fingers inside and moaned loudly together with Arizona. Their hands soon found a steady rhythm as their bodies responded to the heated touch, kissing in between, moaning together, hoping to prolong the moments of shared delight. Arizona felt the tightness in her abdomen grow as pleasure filled her senses and her body gave in first as a wave of trembles ran through her muscles. She let out a loud moan and Callie followed a few seconds later when Arizona added pressure to her clit with her left hand, wanting to feel Callie let go and slip into the bliss with her.
A few moments later the heavy breaths were still filling the room when their hands stopped moving. Arizona rested the back of her head against the wall as she felt Callie's breath on her neck.
"Are you okay?" Callie whispered.
"I'm fine," Arizona said and turned her head to catch Callie's lips again. "I'm great, actually…" she mumbled with a smile "…and I want more…" she added as she moved her fingers inside Callie's hair pulling her closer.
"God…" Callie moaned as she got lost in Arizona's lips again but after a few moments she pulled back, "I want more too, but I'm gonna be late for work," she said with a heavy sigh. "And it might be too strenuous for you like this…"
Arizona sighed as she ran her fingers through her hair.
"Tonight then…?" she asked.
Callie smiled, "Tonight…" she whispered and pushed Arizona against the wall gently as she caught her lips hungrily again.
Arizona placed her hands on Callie's back and smiled, "I really like this move."
Callie laughed softly, "You always have," she winked and gave Arizona a few quick kisses. "I'll go check on Sofia," she added.
"Okay, I'll go take a quick shower."
"You sure you're okay?" Callie asked as she washed her hands.
"I'm fine, stop worrying," Arizona smiled and Callie leaned over and kissed her again. She then took her clothes and walked to the door.
"You locked the door?" Callie asked with a chuckle.
"Well, you never know when Sofia will surprise us and find a way to get out of her cot on her own."
Callie laughed, "Smart," she said as she stepped out. Arizona leaned back against the wall and sighed heavily.
"God that was amazing…" she whispered as she slowly pushed her body off the wall, her legs felt wobbly a bit and she smiled knowing that this time it had nothing to do with the crash.
Sofia kept them busy the rest of the morning and then they all walked to the hospital. Arizona had the early morning session and Callie took Sofia up to the daycare. They shared a soft kiss when they parted but other than that there was no opportunity for any more intimate contact. Once in the therapy Arizona found it hard to focus.
"Arizona, what's going on, do you feel tired? Do you feel any pain?" Peter asked looking worriedly at Arizona.
Arizona shook her head, "No, I don't feel tired, nothing hurts."
"So what's wrong? You're barely doing the exercises, I was thinking that you could try going back to work on Wednesday, but if you can't do the exercises then it's too soon."
"What!? Really!? I could go to work next week?"
"Well, I thought we could give it a try, half of the week and part-time, but you need to seriously practice until then, you seem quite distracted today."
"Right, yes, sorry, I am a bit distracted but I'll focus now, I really want to get back to work!" Arizona exclaimed and blocked the thoughts about Callie that were occupying her mind.
"Okay, so let's do another round from the beginning," Peter said and Arizona made her best to focus on her exercises.
After the PT Arizona also had a session with Amelia and Bailey and she informed them about Peter's idea for a part-time trial the following week.
"That's a good idea, we can see if you can take it and you can finally get your hands on some real cases. Your scans have been clear for two weeks now, I don't have any objections," Amelia said with a smile.
Arizona smiled and turned to Miranda, "Dr. Bailey?"
"Okay, if you ace the test again today, then I'll write a recommendation to the Board, but you start by helping out Karev, I don't want you working alone, in case you get dizzy or feel unwell… I want there to be someone who can immediately help if needed."
"Sure, works for me," Arizona agreed with a smile. "Now let's talk medicine! I've got a test to ace!" she urged with enthusiasm.
It was early afternoon and Arizona was sitting alone in the apartment, it was too early for her afternoon session and Callie was still at work. Arizona sat on the sofa lost in thoughts as the actions from the morning started to set in. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. The silence of the apartment felt like it was looming over her, giving too much space for overthinking, and Arizona's head started doing exactly that.
Why am I feeling restless?, she wondered as she felt sudden worry find its way inside her thoughts. The photos of her with Callie and Sofia that were spread all around the living room started suffocating her and now unexpectedly, she had so many doubts overwhelming her as she felt being torn about everything. A part of her couldn't stop thinking about Callie's touch, her lips and her fingers and all she wanted was to feel Callie's soft skin again, kiss her more, get lost in the passion all night long. But there was another part, a part that was freaking out, a part that didn't know what to do, a part that was afraid of what was coming next. What do we do now? Do we just jump into marriage now? How can we sleep together, have sex and still take things slowly… I've never lived with anyone after one month of knowing them…
"Why is this all so complicated!?" Arizona mumbled in frustration as she buried her hands into her hair.
Okay, I'm just freaking out, I need to take a step back… stop freaking out! It's just sex, no big deal Arizona, you love sex, sex is great… and oh God her touch felt like bliss… but… this is not casual fun, there's Sofia, and we are married, it's a commitment, and I still barely know her…
"Argh!" Arizona groaned loudly when her mobile chimed and interrupted her inner battle. She took the mobile phone and looked at the message from Miranda Bailey.
The Board agreed, but you have to pass their test on Monday morning.
Arizona smiled broadly, Piece of cake!, she typed in reply.
You better prepare well over the weekend! ~ Miranda.
You bet I will!
Arizona, they made it clear that if you don't pass, there won't be another test for at least two weeks, possibly more.

Arizona leaned back on the sofa and sighed. She closed her eyes and her mind immediately went back to thinking about Callie. She opened her eyes quickly, she looked towards the bedroom and thought for a few seconds.
"I need to focus on Monday," she mumbled, and then picked up her phone again. When the line opened she spoke into the phone.
"Alex, hey, you said you have a big house, right?"
Alex was taken aback by the sudden question, "Umm… yeah…, why?"
"I need a big favor…"
