AN: Another one. Also here's a better explanation of Junko's quirks new ability. It basically does what would happen normally but speeds up or slows down the process, for example you run from A to B, you'll still run there but it will happen faster, like a 2x video. Yeah, have fun reading. -xXx-
"Sorry!" I apologised, embarrassed as I released my hold on his arm. Oh and my foot too.
"No! It's my fault I shouldn't have touched you!" The boy responded quickly as he got up with a face resembling a tomato. Wow he's bad at talking to girls.
"Hey! What do you think you're doing assaulting another student!" Shouted the bane of my existence, otherwise known as Tenya Iida.
"I do what I want to, blockhead." I remarked, with an angered smirk.
"It's fine Iida-kun, it was my fault. But how did you throw me over your head? Did you use your quirk…" And he began mumbling. Well I know a cure for that. I smack him on the back, this seems to wake him up.
"No. I just work out. Also you need to stop mumbling. It annoys blockhead." I answered as I regained his attention. This made them look at me in a small shock for a few seconds. Kids these days, so quirk dependent.
"You're very disrespectful." Iida scolded me, breaking the silence.
"And?" I laughed in his face. This seemed to annoy him more but he couldn't start his lecture, because someone new showed up.
"Ooooi! Wait for me! You're going to the station right?" Yelled Uraraka behind us. I slowed down my walk and shot a smug glance at the future Ingenium.
"No, I'm headed near there though." I mused as the brunette caught up with us.
"Do you live nearby?" She asked, curious.
"Kind of, I rented a place with a friend, because we both lived far away." I explained casually.
"Does your friend go to UA too?" She pressed further.
"Yeah, not the hero course though, the support one. She makes costumes." I answered with a smile as we made our way through the city.
"How do you have enough money for that? Did your parents pay for it?" She questioned innocently. Wrong person to ask that question.
"Kinda. But, I gotta go now though!" I hastily waved them goodbye and left. Before they could answer I sped up, I can take a different route.

"She was really in a hurry. Do you think she forgot something?" I asked my two remaining travel companions.
"I don't know. But I'm happy she left, she's way too disrespectful." Mused Iida.
"That's mean!" I scolded him.
"She literally attacked Izuku!" He refuted.
"Who's Izuku?" I questioned, confused.
"I am, Izuku Midoriya." Muttered Deku as he raised his hand.
"I thought your name was Deku! That blonde, uh Bakugou, calls you that." I responded.
"Kachan made that up as an insult." He confessed.
"I thought it was positive. Like, Do your best, you know!" I answered.
"You can call me Deku then!"
"What?!" His response broke Iida's calm demeanor.

"Akemi?" I called out into the living room.
I opened the door to the apartament and saw no one there. As expected their classes probably go on longer than one test. What to do now then? I might as well get dinner ready then I need to actually look for a job to pay for this place. Let's start off with dinner though. What should I cook? Ramen, the best food. That's non arguable by the way.
I start off with my pork. I submerge it in water and put it in a pressure cooker for ten minutes. I use a small speed up with my quirk on it, which reduces the cooking time to about two minutes. Then I cut up an onion and a ginger root, putting both into a marinating bag. Then I pour in soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper and garlic. I prepare a corn starch, flour mixture as the meat is finishing cooking.
I took it out, put it in the marinade and massaged the content into it. I chopped the meat and began lightly coating it in the powder mixture and put it onto a pan with oil. I move the pork around with a fork trying to get the outside of it crispy. I take them off heat and let it rest.
I began chopping scallions for both stock and topping. I saute some bean sprouts in chilli flake olive oil, adding salt. Now I move onto actually making the broth. I add chilli pepper flakes, whole leaks, onions, tomatoes, ginger, garlic and the chicken bones into a pot. Then I cover everything in water. Using my quirk again to reduce it to a manageable time.
While that's getting done I move onto noodles. I use the instant ramen ones because I can't actually make noodles myself, here at least. I throw them into boiling water with some added soy sauce. I use tongs to help the noodles separate and cook faster. I know usually people prefer to cook the noodles in the broth, but I have a tight schedule and like soy sauce, fight me.
Now it's time for the assembly. But before that I put away the bean sprouts and crack an egg on the same oil instead adding salt and pepper before it can set.
I use the tongs to put the noodles into a bowl, then pour in a strained broth. I add the meat, scallions and the bean sprouts. I place the barely set egg on top. I move my bowl aside as I prepare another, this time eggless, because Akemi has shitty taste.
Now it's time to eat. I start off with the delicious still partially runny egg. The yolk made its way down the white straight into the liquid below as well as the vegetables and meat. Shit I forgot lemon! I quickly squeeze the juice into both bowls. Now I can eat! The new use of my quirk is just so useful. I might be able to sleep less!
"Anyone home?" I heard a voice at the front door.
"Yeah, come to the kitchen! You might get to eat it hot!" I yelled back. Now without the interruptions I can move on to my favourite part, consumption.
"You know how to make ramen? Also, how long ago did you get here?" She asked as if it was impossible.
"Yes, I do! Yours is without an egg because you said you don't like it. Oh and I came back about ten minutes ago." I grumbled as I returned to my meal. Man the egg had a great taste thanks to the chilli oil. The same goes for everything else to be honest. Man, I'm good at cooking.
"Aww! You remembered! Also, how the heck did you make ramen in ten minutes?!" She mocked as she sat down next to me and dug into her own bowl. I saw her eyes widen after the first sip.
"I used my quirk, found a new use for it today." I bragged. Her eyes shifted from her meal and narrowed down on me in a show of annoyance. Seconds after they returned to her meal.
"Thish ish shoo gooh!" She said with her mouth stuffed full of noodles.
"I told you I know how to cook, don't know why it's such a shock. How was your first day?" I expressed how offended I was.
"We went to the opening ceremony, then we were shown around the workshops. They told us the dos and don'ts, you know the boring stuff. But UA's equipment is insane. What about you? I couldn't find your class at the ceremony." So there was a ceremony. Good to know. I'm glad she's happy with the equipment.
"Our teacher skipped it and had us do a quirk apprehension test. Your basic 8 PE elementary school tests but we could use quirks. I got fourth out of twenty. So pretty good." I told her as I continued eating.
"Did you get costumes?" She asked, putting down her empty bowl.
"No, I think that's tomorrow." I respond as I begin looking through nearby job offers on my phone, now that I finished eating. Job apps are comfortable. I just put in my name, school and prefered locations. And possible employers show up thanks to the app, I get a nice and to the point list.
"I hope they didn't mess up my project! I worked hours on that baby. Specified materials and everything!" She ranted.
"I hope so too, I'd hate to have embarrassing clothes because they took 'creative liberties'." I agreed sincerely.
"Also, do you want to sit together at lunch?" I questioned, trying to come off as nonchalant.
"Yeah, sure!" She responded, enthusiastically. Oh this is a pretty good offer. Let me ask if it's open.
'Hello, is this offer still available?' 'Yes, we're still looking for employees.' 'Would after school times work for you?' 'Yeah, that sounds good.' 'When could I start?' 'As soon as possible.'
"I gotta go!" I told Akemi as I rushed out of the apartament headed for the metro station, my new place of employment.
I ran down the stairs with a light coating of my quirk covering me to start training my new ability, the smaller increase in speed isn't as tiring but works well for consistency. I found myself on the street. Thankfully this is Japan and it's filled with people not cars, so I just make my way towards my target.
I jump down the stairs and run through the metro platform to the shop section. I pass a smoothie stand as well as a fancy chocolate place before I arrive at my destination, the flower shop. Not anything too cool but a nice place to work at, with all the colours and smells.
"Hello? I'm here for the job offer, I messaged about it like five minutes ago." I called out into the small shop.
"Ah? Yes, Junko-chan, right?" A gentle elderly voice resounded out from the back room.
"Yes! Where do I start?" I asked eagerly. I need a good reputation after all!
"Come into the backroom, I'll show you what you'll need to do." She told me. I listened and entered the back room. It was surprisingly big compared to the small store front. It was filled with various flowers, still planted. It seems like my boss makes the flowers herself. I walked over to her and saw a flower glow surrounded in green glitter as it began growing faster, changing colours on a whim.
"Is that your quirk, ma'am?" I questioned quietly, trying to not disturb her as she works. I waited a moment, watching her work on the flower changing it into an Anemone, I think. It was bigger than normal, about the size of my palm. The petals were a beautiful blue colour, she knew what she was doing.
"Yes, here. This one's for you." She grabbed the Anemone and put it in my hair.
"Thank you!" I expressed my gratitude as I saw the flower sitting in my hair, in a water reflection.
"Now let's talk about your work here. You'll be mostly just out in the front making bouquets for customers. If I need you back here I'll call out. The pay is what was listed." She quickly explained.
"Of course!" I made my way to the front and sat down awaiting customers.
-xXx-
"How was work?" Asked me Akemi as I entered the apartment.
"Tiring, but nice. I like flowers, I found out." I walked in and collapsed on the couch.
"I can see that." She seemed amused as she looked at the flower in my hair. I kept it, it was a gift after all.
"It suits you. And would suit your costume too." She mused further after my lack of response.
"I'm going to sleep. Goodnight." I walked off to the bedroom.
-xXx-
Our classes started off with standard ones like english in the morning. For these I decided to stay quiet unless called and just ace the tests. After that was the lunch break. I seperated from my class before I could get dragged to a table with blockhead, to meet Akemi. I did get a few weird looks for the flower. But I use it to train. I slowed it down as much as possible.
We sat at a table joined by one more person. Someone I recognised from the show. Hatsume Mei. Of course she and Akemi have been friends since the first day. I chose a dish that made me cry, both because of the spiciness and the context behind it. Mapo Tofu.
"Junko, this is Mei, support course. Mei, this is Junko, hero course." She introduced me.
"Nice to meet you." I say well mannered.
"What's your quirk?" She asked. Well she's direct.
"It's complicated." I answered as I began eating.
"We have the entire lunch period then!" She responded. She's not gonna step down is she? Akemi just started laughing as she watched our interaction. I glared at her with the message 'screw you' in mind.
"It's called Grandfather Clock. Well it works around time perception. It allows me to both slow time and speed it up for both me and others. Recently I was able to change how time perceives things, I suppose. I made a ball fly both faster and slower. It landed how it would normally though. I sped up cooking with it too." I exhausted myself with that explanation. I saw her face shifting into a thoughtful expression and took that chance to eat.
"That's incredibly useful!" She suddenly exclaimed.
"I know." I bragged. And then she started ranting.
"Slow down! Or do it in your head." I stopped her.
-xXx-
Now came time for the big event! Heroics classes. We all sat down. I could see the anticipation on most of their faces, even those that hid it well.
"I AM entering through the door like a normal person." We heard All Might half shout as he entered the room. A collective wow resounded through the room.
"He's really here!"
"That's the silver age costume, right?"
"This is a practical class which aims to teach you the basics of heroism through training! It also makes up most of your end year grade. The most important lesson you could call it." He explained.
"Today on the agenda! Battle training!" He yelled enthusiastically. It resulted in a mostly positive response.
"That's why, you'll need these!" He pointed at the cases sliding out of the wall.
"Costumes that fit your abilities! They're based on the suggestions you provided!" This time the response was louder and a lot more positive.
"We'll meet at ground Beta! Change quickly!" Let's hope they didn't butcher our creation, Akemi!
-xXx-
I have to admit, they didn't disappoint. The vest was perfect. It was a resistant yet flexible leather material. It was coloured blue and gray. It's basically a series of angled straps that go down as they make their way towards the middle. It has a short stand up collar and leaves a lot up to the imagination. The curves are there but in a tasteful way. And the flower looks great with it, like Akemi said.
The sneakers were a nice grey colour and were what I liked wearing but made with harder materials for combat. The only problem was the leggings. We specified flexible leggings. But of course they used a flexible leather like material that looked incredibly body tight. It was comfortable. But the way it fits… Accentuated a feature of mine. It looked good so I was willing to give it a pass.
Only a few people arrived before me. I was busy admiring my features. I stood in the middle awaiting the late students. What got my attention though was Haruto. He was wearing a sleeveless hoodie, trousers and boots. With a grey scarf and visor for accessories. Was the visor useful for something? And why sleeveless. I choose that option for the 'sex appeal' and comfort. But he doesn't need that. Maybe his quirk requires it?
"Time for battle training to begin!" Shouted All Might. Iida raised his hand right after his words. The best pro hero signaled him to go ahead.
"This is where the entrance exam took place. Will we be fighting in the city again?" He questioned. Just let him explain!
"We will be taking it two steps further. First of all we will be fighting inside as that's where most villain attacks happen. You will be divided into heroes and villains. Two versus two!" He explained. Then the rain of questions came. And I could see his annoyance grow. I feel bad for him. He took out a small booklet.
"Listen! The villains will be hiding a nuclear bomb somewhere in the building. The heroes must either catch the villains or secure the bomb in the given time. You secure a bomb by touching it. The villains must catch the heroes or protect the bomb. We will determine the teams by drawing lots." He explained and took out a box.
"Random chance?" Questioned Iida.
"Pro heroes don't get to choose who they fight with. I think that's the point." Educated Izuku.
We all drew lots and met our teammates. I got Tsuyu Asui. Not the worst option.
"The first battle will be! Midoriya Izuku and Kirishima Eijiro as the villains against Bakugou Katsuki and Sato Rikido as heroes!" All Might announced. Well Midoriya won't be having fun today! I see his pale face so I walk over to him.
"Beat his ass Broccoli boy." I whispered into his ear and walked away to watch the chaos.

Quirk note: Yoichi Suda
Name: 24 hour warning
Power: The user emits a Siren like noise if he's at a place the alarm will sound in twenty four hours later. The first use of this quirk was during a kindergarten trip to a shopping mall. The next day the alarm was sounded because of a villain attack.
Occupation: Police officer.
This is one of the kids from Junko's kindergarten. I'm sure you can connect the dots.
AN: And this chapter is over. In the next one all of the fun stuff happens. I didn't want to make the wait too long and those fights require planning so I split the chapter, sorry! The ramen is based on a 'homecook' level one from a youtube video. Hope you liked the chapter. Review, follow, favourite or don't.
