The navigator houses, fearing their loss of total control over FTL travel, would do everything in their power to prevent any new form of FTL from being used within the IOM. Besides how would they make a synthetic Element Zero if they can't do that for other materials already.
The only way it might work is if it was only ever used for short distance travel since warp drive would be required for any sort of long trip and the supplies of Element Zero were rationed. But I think both the Inquisition and the Ad-mech would see the danger and try to bury the tech letting only themselves use it in very limited ways due to a lack of element zero as the Rogue Trader will not take too much of the stuff to the IOM.
Plus the High Lords don't want things to change too much so best not to bring back something so game changing. Better weapons, computers, scanners and war machines are fine, FTL travel, comms and anything supernatural will rock the boat too much resulting in assassins.

The Fallout tech can be made easily because it doesn't require much of an advanced tech base to manufacture and the tech lasts for a good long while without much in the way of repair work as you see in the game. The Ad-Mech don't really understand a lot of 40k technology so they can't improve on it even if their faith allowed it, whereas they can improve on Fallout tech and build that stuff easily for Thrax to sell elsewhere.
I'm thinking of having the QEC be limited to the Ad-Mech and Inquisition so that the Astropaths aren't at risk of being phased out. Those two organisations would hide the technology from the rest of the Imperium and use it for their own ends. They might share it with Thrax since he is a valuable ally.
My plan is for Star Wars for the next story as travelling to a galaxy other than the Milky Way makes sense to me, but perhaps he could go to the Pegasus Galaxy in the Stargate Universe for the tech of the Ancients and to battle the Wraith. Then go to Star Wars when he has more tech and allies.
Stargates aren't pandimensional. The MC will have to find something that is.

Part 5
The Enduring Triumph. Terminus Systems.
I found that I already missed my wife as she'd stayed behind on Freedom's Progress so as to speak with the Systems Alliance when they came calling, which for all I knew could be happening right now. I knew for sure that she didn't like being away from the children, but we had people we trusted to take care of them and she wanted to play a bigger role in the affairs of House Thrax, being a career woman is not easy in any galaxy.
Not that it was so simple to be me, but it did have a lot of upsides such as having breakfast in bed which was brought to me by one of my servants as I laid in my massive bed that two members of my battle harem helped me to keep warm. Cameron, my bodyguard who looked like the actress Summer Glau and acted a bit robotic at times like a Terminator, was laid out naked on top of the covers and I couldn't help admiring the view. She had an adorable butt. 07 who looked like Jeri Ryan had a different body shape that was also appealing to look at, but she remained under the covers.
"My lord, you have a briefing in one hour" reminded the woman who'd brought my breakfast.
We'd made another warp jump and now we were moving through a system that contained a world of interest to me. Getting here had taken weeks and it would take a few more weeks to return to Freedom's Progress as even with smooth warp currents the ship could only move so fast not that it was weeks for me due to the strange way the Warp worked. By the time we returned I would be meeting with some bigwigs from the System Alliance and I figured that the other Citadel races would want a piece of me.
"Thank you" I replied
I didn't rush to eat my breakfast and I took my time as I was not totally refreshed from bringing the ship through the Warp. The strain of the warp jump was becoming easier to handle but when combined with using my powers on the mind of Miranda Lawson to bring her into my service while learning all I could of Cerberus.
All that information would be used by 06 Black Widow to infiltrate Cerberus and then to bring it down. Once the Illusive Man was dead we might have to strike at a few targets or get someone else to do it in order to finish off the organisation and that was fine with me.
While other members of my battle-harem switched places with those who had stayed with me over night I began to get dressed. I kept the outfit as simple as I could, a military style with the least amount of gold braiding and medals as possible. I made sure that I was armed with Shadow Steel and a plasma defender, a rather small yet potent plasma weapon from the world of Fallout.
I left early giving myself plenty of time to reach the big briefing room and found the others already here. A sign of how eager they were for the short war we were about to have. One of the cogboys fired up the holoprojector so as to show the world which was our target. Cerberus hadn't just sent me Miranda Lawson as a liason they'd also sent me files on Subject Zero and information on the Terminus Systems that you couldn't simply download off the extra-net. In return they got their laser rifles, as much good as it would do them.
"This is the jungle-planet of Pragia, a world which is overrun by choking hypergrowth caused by the introduction of many industrially produced mutated plant species. This, combined with its relative isolation and lack of population, has made Pragia a favoured world to set up illegal operations by groups of drug-runners, weapons-smugglers, pirates, mercenaries, terrorists, and intelligence agents seeking secrecy. All of which are targets we can strike once we make orbit, even the intelligence agents as officially they don't exist".
Choked by the hyper-growth of non-native plant species, Pragia serves as a galactic reminder about the imperative for careful regulation during colonization, at least according to the Extra-net articles I read about this place.
Two centuries ago, batarian agribusiness chose uninhabited Pragia to be their empire's breadbasket. Colonization authorities introduced non-native, industrially-mutated plants that flourished in the world's fertile volcanic soil. Synergizing with Pragia's natural geothermal conditions and chemotropic microbes, the imported species soon became a nightmare. Mutant strains of poisonous and even carnivorous plants arose, overgrowing colonies in days instead of years, and causing the batarians to abandon their holdings.
"Once we have a better idea of what is happening on Pragia I intend for us to raid any target we can" I informed the group, which was made of navy officers, high ranking members of the Imperial Guard, the Ad-Mech, the Inquisition, the Sisterhood of Steel and the Sisters of Battle "I will leave each group free to attack what sites they wish over the next week, however I do expect you all to keep each other informed of your actions well enough that you don't step on each other's toes".
Since this world had no unified government or even a common defence, and every ship capable of running had run from my cruiser and the Swift-Silver. No group on the planet would work with another to defend itself, unlike the factions that made up this expedition who should be able to join forces if needs be.
"The overall objectives of these raids is to kill as many of the scum living here as possible while obtaining the resources we need" I mentioned "These resources can include raw materials, human slaves who we can make serfs, human made technology that the Ad-Mech can cleanse of any corruption, and information on where we can find more such targets. This is also a chance for our warriors to see some proper action after spending so long inactive".
Once we'd gone back to Freedom's Progress to deal with anyone who wanted to chat with me as well as Dany I'd take us to Thrax II to drop off our plunder.
"We need a lot more manpower if we are going to build ourselves a fleet" I reminded everyone "As well as raw materials so leave nothing useful behind".
Even the Viper Class Scout Sloop one of the smallest ships that could survive a warp jump had a crew of over seven thousands, we could lower that number somewhat with mechs and we'd have to mix in veterans from others ships, but if I wanted to have some more ships when it came time to fight the Reapers I needed to recruit people in the tens of thousands.
Not as hard as it might sound since the Systems Alliances likely had hundreds of thousands of people who wouldn't mind a new life away from Earth and the ships wouldn't take long to build since the Ad-Mech were already laying the foundations for the creation of these vessels.
Mostly I intended to trade for the raw materials and people needed as once I'd sold off enough laser weapons I'd have enough credits for such investments. I could hire workers from many walks of life as they didn't need to be very skilled and training could be provided.
As much as I might need extra ships to go against the Reapers that 40k levels of firepower we could purchase some local vessels and upgrade them, and the planetary defences would take care of a lot of the enemy so I was mostly thinking ahead to the time that I planned to explore and exploit the Star Wars galaxy or maybe the Stargate universe.
I was not too eager to go to Stargate because of the Ancients, but they were unlikely to interfere with me since I was mortal and the prospect of getting my hands on Alterran tech made my mouth almost water.
"The Thrax 2nd needs to get stuck into a good fight" said the Major.
Those xenos and renegade humans down on the planet would be no match for the regiment who had the training and equipment to take on much more dangerous foes than outlaws.
"My women are ready for battle" stated the cannoness.
"Mine too" supplied Sarah.
Not only would they get a good fight, doing things this way would force the different factions to work together to an extent, at least to avoid going after the same targets. I wouldn't try this if we were going up against a unified world but this world was perfect for practicing a planetary assault on.
"We can deploy fighters and bombers to support any operations" promised my first officer.
By experience I knew that he could depend upon him to handle the cruiser.
"I'll leave it up to you to manage orbital bombardment" I told him. "I have a target of my own I want to go after".
(Line Break)
Landing Site. Cerberus Base.
Jack pointed out the window at the facility as the shuttle came in to land.
"See the landing pads?" she said. "They have to be on the roof, or the vegetation would overgrow them in just a few hours".
With us were a couple of more shuttles that were filled with Sarah's Sisterhood of Steel who would move in and secure the base from different entry points. While I had Jack with me and several members of my battle-harem that might not be enough if the Blood Pack had already moved in. I also wanted this place cleared out of any useful technology before I let Subject Zero blow it the fuck up. Getting a bomb capable of doing that hadn't been much trouble as I had my own Archmagos who was happy to supply my needs in exchange for getting sample of new tech to play with.
"The base still has power" commented one of my battle harem.
All of my bodyguards were more chatty these days, having lived long enough to develop their own personalities.
"Yeah, they build their equipment to last. Assholes," Jack cursed.
I almost missed the look of trepidation on her face as it was quickly hidden underneath her often worn scowl.
"It was a mistake coming back here" Subject Zero then said.
A mistake easily corrected.
"We can turn around and go back to the ship if you want" I offered. "Then you won't get to explode this bomb, but we could go to the bridge and order an orbital strike. It's up to you".
She took a deep breath, before she nodded.
"Yeah. Okay. Let's get on the ground" she decided.
It was raining steadily when we got out of the shuttle, and the clouds were making everything very gloomy and dark. Kinda like Jack's mood. It was also hot here despite the lack of sunlight. I didn't like it.
"Let's just get in there and plant the bomb in my cell," Jack urged. "I want to watch this place burn".
What we found was your typical abandoned facility, little in the way of lights, papers and containers scattered everywhere, stains all over the place. There were a lot of puddles and dripping water, mostly through holes created by plant growth. Over time vines of some sort had forced their way inside.
"I never saw this room," Jack commented, while looking around.
She pointed over to a stack of containers.
"I think they brought new kids here in those things" she said next "They were messed up and starving, but alive. Usually".
No one else had anything to say and I felt that it was best that we all listened to what Jack had to say. She needed to put this place behind her so as to take her proper place as one of my women. Jack would make a good attack dog for me, she had the bloodlust and the cool powers, she'd even taken to wearing a collar along with some Imperial made body armour.
Soon we went through a door and down some stairs into another room. It had an active security console that when one of cogboys bought it online got caught in a loop, repeating the same vid-recording over and over again until the cyborg managed to stabilize the video file.
"The Illusive Man requested operation logs again," one man was saying. "He's getting suspicious."
"When we get results, he won't care what he did," another man said "But if he knew..."
"He won't find out," the first one replied very firmly.
"Sounds like this facility went rogue" I mused "At the very least they were hiding things from the rest of Cerberus".
Jack had nothing to say on that subject. At least not to me, so we soon got moving again.
The next room was a lot larger. It seemed like some kind of atrium, or at least a storage bay with a lot of windows. Containers were scattered everywhere, all drenched with rain from the broken skylights above us. Trees were actually bursting out of the floor, stretching all the way through the roof. Which was a sign of just how fast the plant life here could grow and how aggressive it was.
"I remember escaping to this room," Jack said, her voice cold even for her "Fighting here. I saw sunlight through the cracks in the ceiling. Only a half-dead guard between me and freedom. He was begging for his life".
No one was sure how to respond to that, so we silently made our way through the room, keeping an eye out for vines and roots so as not to trip over them.
Well, the rest of the group was doing that, I was also on the lookout for loot. Which we found in the form of a few computers that still worked somewhat. But there wasn't much aside from those machines, just some research data for someone to go through, likely just the Ad-Mech and Ordo Xenos.
I doubted that we could ever bring enough Element Zero back to the IOM to fuel ships or an extra-net but neither the Ad-Mech or the Inquisition would have any problems recreating the experiments here so as to make their own biotic warriors. This was not something I would ever mention to Jack.
About halfway through the room, we ran into a small pack of varren. Thankfully, their growls gave them away. It didn't take long to finish them off after that. They were fast and deadly, but my battle-harem had been created to defend me from much worse.
I knew that Varren are omnivores with a preference for living prey. Originally native to the krogan homeworld of Tuchanka, they are, like most life from Tuchank, consummate survivors. They are pack hunters when vulnerable prey is readily available and become scavengers when outnumbered or outclassed. Their supreme adaptability, vicious demeanor and rapid breeding cycle have made them ubiquitous and dangerous pests on many worlds. Virtually everywhere the krogan have been, varren infestations have followed, wreaking havoc with the native ecology. Much like humans could.
"Allow me to take some samples, '' requested a cogboy.
Also of note they can be domesticated or even used as a source of food by humans.
"With the right cybernetic enhancements we could use these creatures as attack dogs" said the machine lover as he took DNA samples "Testing would be required".
I didn't think the Guard would mind having some varren on their side. Perhaps I should have a couple of them as pets and have them sit near my throne when I had important visitors. Something to think on later.
Near the end of the room, we came across a small spot. There were a bunch of barricades arranged in a rough circle. Inside the circle, I could see some knocked-over barricades, broken tiles, dirt and scratches, as well as a few blood stains.
"This almost looks like an arena," I heard one of my battle-harem say.
I wasn't sure where she would have seen an arena before, but this wasn't the time to ask.
"That's right," Jack confirmed. "They used to stage fights here. Pit me against other kids. I loved it. Only time I was ever allowed out of my cell".
The member of my battle harem showing interest was the one who looked like Sarah Michelle Geller, the bodyguard I called Buffy because if nothing else I felt sure she'd kick vampire butt very well.
"Was this some sick kind of game," Buffy asked, "or were they actually studying something here?"
Pit fighting wasn't uncommon in the IOM, but I'd never seen or heard of one that used children. Prisoners, mutants and animals sure, even the odd alien on the more frontier planets, but never kids. Even by Imperial stands this was brutal.
"Hell if I know," Jack replied with a shrug. "Maybe that's how they got their kicks. I never understood anything that happened here".
"How often did they do this?" I asked.
At this point I figured that Jack actually wanted to talk, and while I found myself uninterested for the most part as there wasn't much here to salvage and fill my coffers with, I made an effort to be involved. If nothing else Subject Zero would notice if I showed an interest women tended to care about such things.
"I was in a cell my whole life until I escaped," Jack replied. "Sometimes they took me out and made me fight. Filled me with drugs and I don't know how often that happened. Time gets funny in a cell".
Buffy seemed more interested in asking questions than anyone else. She either had an unhealthy interest in pit fights or had learned to show empathy to others.
"Did other kids die in these fights?" she asked,
"Sometimes," Jack said. "I was a kid, filled with drugs and told to fight. When I hesitated, I got shocked. When I attacked, narcotics flooded my veins"
Maybe the Reapers had a point when they decided it was time to harvest all advanced forms of organic life because these Cerberus guys sounded worse than the Inquisition. Sometimes it seemed as if Cerberus did evil for the sake of doing evil, and tried to justify it with flimsy excuses for science. It wasn't as if humanity in this universe was in a war with cosmic horrors, at least the IOM had real reasons to be brutal.
"I still get warm fuzzy feelings during a fight," my bitch admitted.
Which explained her love of violence.
"Let's get going," I said.
Before long we came across another damaged, but somewhat intact console. It still had power, so the cogboy, who wisely hadn't spoken much during this trip, was able to bring up a fragment of the last recording.
"Security Officer Zemkl, Teltin facility," a man in armour was saying. "The subjects are out of their cells! They're tearing the place apart! Subject Zero is going to get loose. I need permission to terminate, I repeat, permission to terminate!"
"Permission denied," someone else replied. "All subjects besides Zero are expendable. Keep Jack alive!"
"Understood," said the man in armour "I'll begin the..."
Jack shut down the recording before it could finish.
"That's not right," she argued. "I broke out when my guards disappeared. I started that riot".
I shrugged.
"Maybe more was going on than what you saw," I suggested.
She had been rather young.
"The other kids attacked me. The guards attacked me. The automated systems attacked me," Jack retorted, while stabbing a finger into my chest "That doesn't leave a lot of room for misinterpretation".
I wasn't so sure. Being attacked didn't necessarily identify her as the cause of the riot, and an abused child being given drugs wasn't a reliable witness. But I kept my mouth shut, and instead spent my time looking around.
The corridor we were currently in was a dead-end. The only way forward was through a nearby door that went down a couple flights of stairs. Between the first and second set of stairs was a locked door as well as a dead varren one that hadn't been killed by a laser or plasma weapon.
"This place is supposed to be empty," Jack said with a frown. "Who the fuck shot that varren? It's a fresh kill".
I wanted to warn everyone without giving too much away.
"Could be a salvage operation going on" I suggested "Or maybe some crooks are hiding out here. The whole planet is a hideout for outlaws.
As I warned the Sisterhood of Steel over the comm the mercs who I knew to be around here made their presence known. Not that any of us had been unprepared to meet any criminals while here.
"Incoming!" one of my bodyguards yelled in warning.
We were already ducking for cover as the bad guys opened fire. Vorcha, mostly, and they were in Blood Pack colours. One carried a flamer, so it made sense that he or she got cut down by mass laser fire very quickly. The ensuing fire fight was very one-sided and only lasted less than half a minute. A minute after that we were on the move again. But we were being more careful now since we knew that mercs were operating out of his base.
"Why'd they need a morgue?" Jack asked herself as we entered another room "This wasn't that big of a facility".
It wasn't hard to figure out why.
"Looks like they were experimenting on the kids" I said "They must have lost a lot of test subjects"
She didn't like hearing that.
"Bullshit!" Jack yelled. "I had the worst of it and I made it out alive."
That might be so, but there were an awful lot of people who didn't. I didn't mention that either. We just got moving again as I wanted to get this over with.
"So strange to be back here," Jack said softly. "I feel like... I'm pissed off. I'm a dangerous bitch. But then I'm a little girl again".
She almost sounded human at this point.
"Shit," she shook her head. "It's complicated. Let's just go plant that bomb".
We made our way to an empty room that had broken windows and some sort of grass was sprouting up out of holes in the ground. After shooting a few more Vorcha we found some small cells where they must have kept the children. The door at the end of the hallway led into another large room. There was a catwalk that wrapped around the room, hugging the walls. Below us was a floor filled with debris and clutter.
Jack abruptly halted when we were halfway along the catwalk, staring at a set of large windows.
"This... It's a two-way mirror. My cell is on the other side," Jack told us "I could see all the other kids out there. I screamed at them for hours. They always ignored me. Why didn't they hear me?".
"Maybe it was soundproofed," Buffy suggested. "If so, it wouldn't matter how long or how loud you screamed"
Not knowing what else to say, we let Jack digest that while we kept going. Perhaps I should have come up with something meaningful to say, or at least I should have tried to be comforting, but right now I was more concerned about Miranda. If things progressed as they did in the game then Subject Zero was going to get into a major fight with Miranda, and it might not end as peacefully as it did in the game. I'd have to keep them apart for a while. Thankfully I had a much bigger ship than Shepard and so I could stash my newest servant somewhere safe.
In the next room we found some kind of chair, like the kind you see at the dentist, although I don't recall dentist chairs with shackles at the wrists and ankles.
"I must have come through here when I broke out," Jack said with a frown "but I don't remember it."
Over in the corner was another working console that again the cogboy worked on, no doubt downloading some data as well.
"Entry 1054, Teltin facility," some guy said, all too calmly. "The latest iteration of PergNim went poorly. Subjects One, Four and Six died. No biotic change among the survivors. We lowered core temperatures of surviving subjects, but no biotically beneficial reactions occurred. As a side effect, all subjects died. So we'll not try that on Zero. I hope our supply of biotic-potential subjects holds up. We are going through them fast".
"This is bullshit!" Jack declared to the world in general. "They weren't experimenting on the other children for my safety!".
Looking in her eyes, I didn't see anger or indignation as much as I saw, well, shock. I don't think it ever occurred to her that she wasn't the only one who suffered here.
"It looks like they were used to figure out what would boost biotics," I replied. "Anything that worked, they gave to you."
"You don't get it, boss," Jack replied. "I survived this place because I was tougher than the rest. That's who I am".
No she survived because the so-called scientists here performed the more dangerous experiments on people other than her. But again I didn't speak about this. No sense upsetting Jack even more.
"It's all fallen to pieces. The subjects are rampaging and Zero is loose. We're shutting Teltin down. What a disaster. We'll infiltrate and piggyback onto the Alliance's Ascension program. Hopefully that will.. No, Jack!".
That recorded message came to a swift end, and I didn't need anyone to tell me why.
"Fuck they started up somewhere else!" Jack cried out.
I shook my head.
"No the Ascension Project is an academy" I told the scary woman "It's very well known to the public and run by the Alliance
"You're sure?" she asked.
I nodded,
"Sure" I told her "I've seen the website on the extra-net, but if it makes you feel better I can have someone look into the academy for you".
I had my own Master of Whispers and I knew that he'd already be working to place agents across this galaxy.
"A lot of this... isn't the way I remember it" Jack admitted after a while.
I tried to be nice to her.
"None of this is your fault. You couldn't have known what was really going on," I said "They had you locked in a cell and drugged up".
"Yeah? Well, I'm a lot smarter now," Jack retorted. "I keep my eyes open and I always shoot first".
Well, I'd tried to be sympathetic. Guess she was still processing everything.
"We're getting close to my cell," Jack said. "The place I came from. Let's keep moving".
There were no more Blood Pack, either they were elsewhere, or the vorcha had been left behind when the Krogan mercs pulled out. It wouldn't surprise me if that was the case as to the Krogan who ran the Blood Pack the vorcha were little more than cannon fodder. The Sisterhood of Steel would deal with any we missed.
However there was someone else here and he was no Krogan.
"Come out now," Buffy ordered. "We know you're here"
A man slowly stood up from his hiding spot between a large crate and the remains of a bed.
"Who are you?" Jack demanded to know.
"My name is Aresh," he replied somewhat calmly, "and you're breaking into my home".
He lived here? I don't recall this guy, but it had been a very long time since I played the game.
"Hey I know you, Subject Zero" he then said.
He stepped forward, prompting Jack to lift her Imperial made laser pistol. Ignoring the threat of an imminent and violent death, he continued talking.
"So many years have passed. I thought I was the only survivor" he was now saying.
The crazy woman sneered at the even more crazy man.
"My name is Jack," she corrected. "How the hell do you know me?"
"We all knew your face, Jack," Aresh said. "They inflicted horrors on us so their experiments wouldn't kill you. You were the question... and I'm still looking for the answer".
At this point I glanced over at Jack. I wondered if she'd shoot him.
"I tried to forget this. But a place like this... it doesn't forget you," Aresh whispered, while tapping the side of his head. "It follows you. I hired these mercs and came back months ago. We're rebuilding it, piece by piece".
Yeah it didn't seem that way. The few mercs we'd seen weren't doing anything.
"I'm going to find out what they knew," Aresh continued by saying "How to unlock true biotic potential in humans. I'm restarting the Teltin facility. It will be beautiful".
Jack immediately tensed up.
"They did such horrible things to us" the crazy guy then added "They must have had good reasons".
"There's no reason good enough!" Jack yelled out. "Are you nuts? You lived it!"
Seeing no reason not to let things play out I signalled the others to step back.
"I stopped it, all of it," Jack was currently saying "Maybe the others did have it bad, but what you're doing is just messed up".
He didn't actually seem to be doing anything judging by the state of the place.
"Everything we went through must have been worth something!" he yelled back.
To my surprise Jack hadn't yet shot him.
"Just leave me here," Aresh pleaded. "This is where I belong."
"Fuck that," Jack stated
She brought him down to his knees with her biotics, then pointed her pistol at him.
"He wants to restart this place," Jack stated "He needs to die!"
She ended up not shooting him. He was no threat and he had no means to rebuild this place.
"We'll take him with us" I decided "The Inquisitor can have him".
No doubt she'd be grateful for this man's knowledge of this place, scattered as it was.
"This room was my whole childhood. Give me a minute to look around?" requested Jack
By now we'd entered her cell.
"Sure," I said "Go ahead, the cogboys will want time to pick up any tech that is still working".
Jack spent several minutes deciding where to place the bomb, then changing her mind, then changing her mind again, the way women did when you tried to move a sofa or hang up a picture. But in the end we managed to get it set up and then get everyone to clear out.
It was still raining when we left the facility, so we didn't waste any time getting back to the shuttle. I waited until the cogboy with us signalled that we were at a safe range before letting the cyborg hand over the remote detonator. We needed to make sure all the landing craft were out of the blast radius before anything went boom.
Jack didn't wait for long before pressing the button. The shuttle shook a little but otherwise we were unaffected by the explosion.
"As you requested, my lord,'' said the cogboy who handed me a list of names via an eletronic message to my omni-tool "My the machine god light your way".
Jack took an interest in the so I explained what it was I held.
"Some of the information is corrupted" I told "but we have a somewhat complete list of the people involved, both the staff and the test subjects, more than enough evidence to get the System Alliance involved if it goes public or I could bounties place on all the staff, dead or alive. I'll leave it up to you".
My bitch carefully considered her words.
"Let it go public" she decided "I want everyone to know what Cerberus is really like".
That was fine with me as that organisation wouldn't be of use to me for much longer. It would only be a matter of time before Black Widow killed their leader and took his place before doing her best to disband the Cerberus. It might seem a good idea for her to stay in charge, but that wasn't assassins were for and I might need Black Widow services elsewhere.
