Dr. Flug is a visionary security scientist, catching the attention of a maximum security prison meant for the supervillains of the world. Kokytus. But on his first day, a riot breaks out and Dr. Flug is trapped. Trying to help the outside authorities from the inside, he is glad none of these villains know who he is. That doesn't stop a certain Black Hat from noticing him though.

It was hard to tell what they were thinking with the opaque visors, but the young man figured they were surveying him like everyone else had on his journey over the last 24 hours. Not with any kind of awe, rather with concerned distaste. As though he'd just crawled out from a pit. For Dr. Flug, that pit had been a prison far less threatening than the one he was being driven up to. /p

The officers remained lined up against the walls on the other side of the door. Dr. Zaheed drew their arms out in a grand gesture, introducing the space to the newcomers with a loud voice. They held a sleek black remote in their hand, one they input multiple functions into, before there was a hissing - like snapped pipe, and then a rumbling. In the middle of the room, the floor parted and a cube was brought up like a pantomime trick. It was silvery, the corners so sharp they looked as if they could cut through diamond. It was fifteen foot tall and likely fifteen foot sideways. A front door at the side visible to all suggested it was in fact, a room. /p

Something was wrong, that much was obvious, and since the infirmary was still empty - as he'd had a cursory glance around, he figured he should try and find a way out. /p

Rows of cells side by side. Stepping through, he winced at the echo. He'd been brought through here by the guard, Abundis-Sandoval, he realised, he didn't take it all in last time. But he did remember him saying 'shortcut'. Across the concrete yard, was another set of doors and he made a beeline for them. /p

His pain lessened with the surge of adrenaline that kicked into the doctor as he picked up the pace. Reaching the door, almost falling against it, he tried to open it, only for it to be locked. Knocking on it desperately, he opened his mouth to call out only for the smokey darkness to rise even higher from the ground, curling around his knees. It was ice cold, yet dry. Turning around, swiping his head from left to right and trying to ignore the wave of nausea that caused, he saw an open door to the far right, bumbling towards it, the fog became thicker and higher faster, creeping into his throat and nose like tar. Forcibly marching through it like ocean waves, he reached the open entrance and toppled forward, landing hard on his palms and he groaned. He couldn't see a thing now, the pain had returned in his head at full force and Dr. Flug slumped into his second bout of unconsciousness. /p
