Chapter 1.
Huldah.
Huldah struggled to sit up her head pounding and the urge to be sick was overwhelming, she looked around to see that she was on a cold floor in a dark unfamiliar room. When the memory of being slammed to the floor after they had shimmered here hit her, she had landed half on her stomach and a half on her side, which is when her head had hit the floor with such force it must have knocked her out because that's the last thing she remembered. She could hear people whispering angrily so she lay as still as she could, keeping her eyes closed, trying to hear what was being said without them knowing that she was awake.
"Who the fuck is this Samyaza I got you out of that fucking prison so that you would get the fucking brats and you come back with some nobody. Fucking get rid of her I will have to do the fucking job myself. Considering you're supposed to be a powerful fucking angel you are useless."
"What do you want me to do with her Elena? I can't leave here now. We breached his chambers everyone will be looking for us." Whoever this Elena was she huffed before Huldah heard what sounded like a loud buzzing followed by a loud male scream. She cracked one eye up a little to see a woman with blonde hair holding something in her hand smiling down at a man who she presumed was Samyaza who was on his knees in pain wearing a long dark cloak. She felt her stomach drop knowing who he was.
"Kill her, keep her for yourself I don't give a fuck just get rid of her. Whatever you're going to do you should do it before the brat she is carrying is born. She spat at him as he turned his head towards Huldah who quickly closed her eyes again.
"I think I will keep her I can easily dispose of what she is carrying when it's born I will have a lot of fun with her." Huldah felt the tears burning behind her eyes at the thought of anyone hurting her or her baby she could feel the cold metal at her neck which told her that she would not be allowed to use magic so she wouldn't be able to shimmer or heal.
Suddenly the urge to be sick was too overpowering and she could no longer pretend to be asleep as she jumped up and ran to the corner of the room to empty her stomach she was still heaving and crying, she could feel the dried blood on her face from the explosion and hitting her head. When she could hear the blonde bitch hiss behind her.
"Whatever you are going to do just do it I don't want to be around that it's disgusting I have too much to concentrate on after you failed, to have to deal with pregnant nannies." Huldah looked up in shock.
"You think I'm a nanny?" The bitched called Elena just rolled her eyes at her.
"What else are you if not a nanny I know who everyone else is they are all my fucking daughter's family and the two warriors I am presuming are Friends of Dione's or should I say Carla now that she has changed her name. After all, they would run in the same circles being what they are." Samyaza was stood now staring at her with a frown.
Huldah wiped her mouth before speaking. "I'm Carla's sister" She watched as the color drained from their faces. "I'm also the soon-to-be wife and Queen of Beelzebub and this baby that you want to 'get rid of' as you so sweetly put it is his heir." She was panting now feeling the anger at what they had wanted to do to her baby and also knowing what her being missing would be doing to Beal.
Elena turned to Samyaza and hit him so hard across the room he hit the wall before landing on the floor. "You brought the most powerful fucking Warlock in histories bitch and unborn brat here you fucking moron. Do you think that stupid piece of fucking metal around her throat is going to hide her for long you idiot? Did you not just see what happened to Asmodeus and Lilith. I am not suffering that fate she needs to go you need to kill her and get rid of her and we need to start again.
As she was talking someone started walking down the hall he heels clicking of the floor." Ah, Leila good you're here drop the meat suit we have an issue." As she spoke the woman who had walked in looking like Ana's PA suddenly looked completely different she had long white hair and Black eyes with blood-red lips and the palest skin that matched her hair she looked dead. When Huldah looked down she saw the decomposing body of the real Sam and her stomach recoiled as she heaved knowing she had nothing left in her stomach.
"They are looking for her, Beal is going crazy you know they have an Idea of who has her. Why the fuck would you blow his chambers up from your cell Samyaza you dumb fuck. Really Sister I thought you would have chosen better help than him."
This clearly pissed of Samyaza has he growled before speaking "It was the only one that was fucking empty that was attached to his chambers for fuck sake give me a break no one has noticed that I have been gone Elena has been using magic so it looked like I was still there they have been too busy to check I thought it would be perfect." Leila was over to him in seconds grabbing him by what Huldah could now see was a large chain around his neck.
"You will speak to me with more fucking respect angel or this fucking chain will do more than shock you, it will fucking end you am I clear?" He nodded his head fear evident on his face.
"What the fuck made you choose this waste of space he is fucking useless, seriously sister she will never give us what she promised if we don't get those babies you should have done better. Now we are going to have to think because we can't keep her" She pointed her thumb over her shoulder without looking Huldah's way
Elena huffed at her "He was the only one willing to help the others knew that Lucifer would not tolerate anyone going after his fucking family so everyone else is terrified, it's pathetic. As soon as I found out who he was I thought he would be a good help apparently fucking not. Why don't we just kill them all and start again."
Huldah's stomach dropped again as Leila looked over to first Huldah then Samyaza she took a deep breath before shaking her head. "You can't kill her or the babe Beal will never rest until he finds out who did it. We were supposed to get the twins and hand them over then she was going to do the rest we would have got our payment she would have got her leverage and we would have cut ties no one would have known who we were. Please tell me you had the good sense to wipe the memories of the others you asked for help?" Elena Nodded her head to tell her that she had. "Good."
Leila walked over to Huldah crouching down in front of her "What would you suggest we do little Huldah? we can't keep you, we can't kill you. You are quite the problem, aren't you? If I could though you would already be dead and you would be my next meat suit I have always wanted to fuck Beal but unfortunately, with who Lucifer's little bitch is now she would sniff it out in seconds." She smiled as she stood looking down at Huldah who was cowering on the floor the pain in her head becoming unbearable.
"Ok, Elena here's the plan we just give her back wipe her memory of us and leave her at their door. I would love to play and wipe her memory completely but again it would draw too much attention, right now they're not looking for us. They are looking for him so let them think it's all him, while we come up with another plan. That way Beal won't be looking for us, leave her as she is, spell her so she can't be healed quickly. He won't want to leave her like this which is one less person looking for who did this. Let him think this was done just by Samyaza, wipe his memory. No one will be able to undo the magic because it's blood magic and they don't know who cast the spell so they don't know who's blood they will need. We can have a clean slate and Samyaza will get the blame for it all, we can start again while he burns next to Lilith and Asmodeus." Huldah was looking at this crazy bitch hoping that this plan wouldn't work she wouldn't be able to warn anyone.
"That's genius sister." Elena walked over to Huldah with a wicked smile on her face "This is going to hurt quite a bit try not to scream too loud." It was all the warning Huldah got before her hand was lifted and cut as Elena cut into her own hand and placed it over Huldahs. Blinding hot pain Hit her and she screamed so loud and for so long that eventually she just sagged against the floor as flashes of what happened went through her head all the way back to lying down in Christian's chambers then everything went black she couldn't hear or feel anything.
Christian.
Christian was pacing around his front room the children all asleep after the use of magic to make them all forget what had happened. Ana was sitting with her head in her hands. Beal was barking orders, they had people searching everywhere spells being cast by some of the most powerful witches and warlocks known to the world other than Beal. Everything they could do was being done and he had never felt so fucking helpless.
Suddenly they all turned to see Ava run into the room tears streaming down her face. "I see her she is hurt but she is alive" Beal ran up to her dropping to his knees.
"Where is she Ava can you see where she is?" Ava stood looking up her eyes glowing white her tiny body shaking.
"Christian what's happening to her?" He pulled Ana next to him she was trembling as tears streamed down her face. Everyone was stood around watching no one knowing what to do when Izzy ran up to her sliding on her knees in a rush to stop whatever was happening but Ava just held her hands out everyone sliding back wards as they saw the floor shimmering in front of them.
Suddenly lying on the floor unconscious bruised and bloodied was Huldah. A sob broke from Ana as she dropped to her knees Izzy grabbing Ava who was breathing heavily but seemed fine. Beal was lifting Huldah's head trying to see what was stopping her from healing. There was nothing visible that would prevent her from healing. Ana tried to used her magic to heal her but instantly shimmered to the kitchen.
When Christian shimmered in behind her he found her stood over the sink vomiting up black liquid. Which told Christian whatever had been done to Huldah they couldn't undo it it was blood magic anyone who tried without the blood of the one who cast it would have the same reaction as Ana was having with no luck removing the spell.
Once Ana had stopped being sick and cleaned herself up he pulled her to him as she sobbed into his chest. "Christian who would do that to her she looks so broken and the baby Christian do you think the baby is ok?"
"Shhhhhhh sweetheart let's get the doctor here if she isn't healing magically then we will have to do it the human way but baby she is alive and she is here and she is safe now. So come on let's not think like that and let's go and see her, she will want us there when she wakes up." They were just about to walk back into the front room when Ana pulled him back.
"Christian how do you think Ava did that?" He didn't know what to say for one so young she was so incredibly powerful and she hadn't even received the power she should have received at the coronation yet. He shook his head and kissed her on top of hers telling her he didn't know.
As they reached the front room Beal had placed Huldah on the sofa as Carla had glamoured a bowl of water and was cleaning Huldah up. Beal saw them and came over." What the fuck is happening and why isn't she fucking healing.
"It's blood magic someone has stopped her from healing as she should so we will have to do it the human way I'm sorry brother. I will call the doctor now go and be with her she will want to see you when she wakes up she needs you now brother more than ever."
Beal gave him a weak smile before he went back to Huldah kneeling at the side of the sofa he looked at everyone surrounding her, the women all crying and the men looking like they wanted to burn the world just to make sure they killed whoever did this. Picking up his phone he called the doctor who said he would be over in twenty minutes.
"Why isn't she waking up?" Carla was holding her hand sobbing he forgot sometimes that they were half-sisters, looking at her now you could see how much she loved her.
Everyone turned as the doctor entered the room the second he saw Huldah he started to bark orders. "Sir she should really be in a hospital she looks like she has been through so much and she needs to be checked over properly" Beal growled and had to be held back by Abaddon and Apollo.
"Doctor you will take care of her here whatever you need we can have here within minutes but what we need right now is to know that Huldah and the baby are ok so let's not talk anymore about moving her and start checking her over." Ana had stepped up to talk before Christian could react he could feel himself shaking and knew that Ana would know how angry he was at the thought of moving Huldah.
"Ok I need the ultrasound equipment I will have to get someone to bring it from the hospital she also really needs an x-ray to make sure nothing is broken what happened to her?" Ana spoke again so that he didn't have to he wasn't sure he could speak without growling.
" Doctor my Husband has the Ultrasound equipment in the other room from when I was pregnant he is pretty overprotective what can I say. Whatever else you need that you don't have write a list and we will get it. Beal carry Huldah up to the spare room the equipment is up there you can stay here while she gets better if we have to make a makeshift hospital room for her in there with round-the-clock care, Doctor then that is what we will do." Beal was already carrying Huldah towards the stairs when he was out of the view of the doctor Christian saw him shimmer knowing he would want to have her comfortable as soon as possible.
"Very well show me where I am going, once I have checked her over as much as I can and made sure the baby is ok I will get a list together. I assure you this will become incredibly expensive the machines alone are tens of thousands of dollars."
"Look around Doctor with all due fucking respect do we look like we struggle for fucking money. Take care of my sister-in-law and stop talking to me about how much her care will cost." He could see Ana losing her temper now he placed his hand on her shoulder as she took a deep breath.
They were all stood in the spare room as the doctor performed the ultrasound he was frowning at the screen pressing buttons. The room was completely silent all of the women had tears streaming down their faces with their hands over their mouths. The same hopeless expression on their faces until they heard the sound of the baby's heart beating and everyone breathed a collective sigh of relief even the doctor.
"Ok the baby Is perfect would you like to know what you're having?" Everyone was staring at the screen smiling when they heard a small voice behind them.
"Yes, I want to know please." Everyone turned around seeing Huldha watching the screen she looked like she was in so much pain but was trying desperately to be brave for everyone. "Can we feel sorry for me later? Right now I want to know if we are having a son or a daughter." She said looking around the room before she looked up at Beal who was crying. Christian was shocked never had he ever seen his brother like this. However, he knew the feeling he had been the same when he thought he had lost Ana.
"Oh sweetheart are you, ok baby, please tell me you're ok. I was so scared I thought I had lost you, both of you. I won't survive losing you, it will kill me I don't want to live in this world or any other without please don't ever leave me again." He had his forehead pressed against hers tears falling from both their eyes.
"I don't know what happened or how this happened but I promise you, baby, I would never leave you willingly ever, you are my everything, my world and I am so sorry if whatever happened tonight scared you."
Christian felt his hands clenching at his side, whoever fucking did this to her didn't just stop her healing they fucking wiped her memory. Beal looked over at him with murderous eyes. They needed to find whoever did this soon and when they did Beal and Huldah could do as they wished with them.
He watched as Beal took a deep breath before turning back to Huldah with a smile. "Ok baby let's find out what we are having." She smiled weakly up at him before he lifted her a little to lean her against his chest as she leaned her head on his shoulder his arms wrapped around her looking at the screen at their baby.
"Well, you are both having a little boy congratulation." Everyone was cheering and clapping until they saw Huldah flinch and they all went silent apart from Beal.
"Baby what's wrong?" She looked up at him smiling softly.
"I am so happy I swear it's just that my head hurts really bad so the noise was just a bit much." Anger and understanding washed over Beal's face as he nodded.
Christian stepped forward at the nod he received from his brother knowing what he was silently asking. "Ok everyone let's let them rest the Doctor needs to check Huldah over and I am sure Beal and Huldah would like to be alone we have plenty of room for people to sleep here if you want if I am honest I would prefer it if you did. I am sure you all understand why.
Everyone nodded in agreement before they said their goodnights to Huldah and Beal leaving them with the Doctor.
Ana had gone to sort the playroom out making it look like a normal bedroom it was big enough for at least two huge beds. They turned the office into a bedroom and then three spare rooms downstairs that were supposed to be a wine cellar, gym, and media room they glamoured into makeshift bedrooms, making sure everyone had somewhere to sleep. His brothers had opted to sleep in the front room glamouring beds needing to be at the point of entry into the apartment.
This place was the safest place on earth or in heaven or hell but that didn't mean everyone wasn't on high alert with what had happened not only to Huldah but also the fact that a bomb had blown up and had it not been for the twin's quick use of magic they would be gone which means someone was after the children and that wasn't worth any risk so until this threat was eliminated then this was going to be where everyone stayed.
He knew for sure that Samyaza was behind this but he didn't believe for a second that he was working alone and he would stop at nothing to find out who he was working for or with. With that thought and everyone settled, he went up to his bedroom to see Ana sat on the edge of the bed sobbing. He ran over to her kneeling in front of her.
"Sweetheart are you ok?" She shook her head before sliding off the bed into his lep clinging on to him as if her life depended on it. Her whole body was shaking as the sobbing became uncontrollable. He rubbed her back rocking her knowing that she just had to get this out. He had seen how scared she was and how heartbroken she was when Huldah was lying on the floor broken, unconscious and bleeding. When she finally calmed down she pulled back her eyes red and puffy her nose red and she looked exhausted.
He lifted them both of the floor and lay her on the bed glamouring the sheets over her before climbing in the other side and pulling her to him her head on his chest holding her as tight as he could. "Ana we will find whoever did this and they will pay." She sat up to look at him.
"How is it possible we are the most powerful beings in the world in any fucking world and someone can do this and we can't fucking find them how is that possible?" He wiped the tears that just wouldn't stop from her cheeks.
"Ana just because we are powerful doesn't mean people can't hide from us we know we are looking for Samyaza. I believe he wasn't working alone it's going to be a process of elimination now to find out who he is working with. I am hoping that we can torture the information out of him but something tells me it won't be that easy. We are the most powerful beings in this world or any other but that doesn't mean that we can know everything. However, it does mean when we find those that try or succeed to harm us or those we love, we can deal with it in the most brutal of ways. Now sleep my beauty for tomorrow the hunt is on." They lay down finally letting sleep take them both.
