Hey people, I'll make this quick and to the point: I will be starting off on Change Your Mind, nothing much will change until the end tbh, but I just feel like the set up to what happens matters.

-=The Tower=-

Steven found him self waking up, bathing in the little light that came from the only window in the room.

He sat up and turned back to said window. "Oh right. Prison..." He said, the memories of the ball flooding back to him.

The hybrid heard the sound of the only doors in the room sliding open, revealing Blue Diamond who looked very upset. "I can't believe you!" She scolded him. "Making a scene like that!"

"We weren't trying to make a scene!" Steven defended as he stood up. "We were just...dancing?..." his sentence slowed to a stop when he realizes that he was alone in the tower now, Connie had disappeared. "Connie?"

He turned back to Blue, now upset as well. "What have you done with Connie?!" He shouted, pointing an accusing finger at her.

"What have I done? What have you done?!" She cried out as she entered the tower all the way, the door closing behind her. "You're the one who wanted to keep those organics from the Kyanite colony. I'm just the fool that let you."

'The Kyanite colony?' Steven was helplessly confused on what she was talking about at this point. "..What?"

"Now your little pets are chasing the Pearls up and down the halls." She said, placing her hand over her face. "What were you thinking letting them loose in the ball room?! They could be anywhere!"

Just as she said this, a large, colorful, caterpillar-like creature crawled on her face from behind her head. The blue monarch shrieked as she swatted it away, the thing slapping against the wall and falling into Steven's arms, it being bigger then himself and making babbling noises.

"Piiiinnnk!" She whined as it hugged his face. "Please, just get rid of it." She said, rubbing her own face in disgust.

Steven let the creature wiggle away before he turned back to her. She gave a sigh as she walked over to the window. "Pink...White is very unhappy with you, if this keeps up, she's going to take away your Pearl."

At this point Steven no longer had control of himself and his body was replaced with Pink Diamond's, the words he spoke not even being his own, only the voice that spoke. "I know...I'm sorry."

A tear fell down his face, bringing him out of his trance once the drop hit the floor, letting him realize that he was no longer in his own body. "Huh?!"

His vision began to get shaky as Blue Diamond spoke in an echoed voice, seemingly fading out slowly. "Why are you always doing this Pink?"

He looked down at his hands as the world around him went dark and his body turning back into his own.

The sound of many whispering voices came about as a crowd of Gems swirled around him, all of their empty white eyes on him.

They all sink down into the void as he turned his attention to the two Diamonds behind him. Blue and Yellow Diamond stood there, both with mixed looks of shock and disgust aimed at him.

He began to panic as he turned to see Pearl and Amethyst standing next to him now, both of them being poofed before he turned to Garnet who suffered the same fate seconds later.

After his family were all back in their gems, he turned around to see all three hands of the Diamonds held out, palms facing him as they glowed with their respective auras, each color matching their gems.

"No, stop!" He cried out as he held his hands out, shielding his eyes from the blinding light. Then, his arms and hands began to change. One second, they would be long, slim, and pink like his mother's Diamond form, and then the next they would be shorter, thicker, and the skin tone of her Rose Quartz form, and then finally back to his own familiar ones.

He watched in confusion as he lowered his arms, his entire body now swapping between the three forms. The hybrid began to scream, weather it be in pain or out of frustration, not even he was sure anymore. He gripped his hair tightly as the light grew brighter, and the last thing he saw were the haunting eyes of White Diamond...almost as if she was letting him know that she had seen the whole thing.

-=-

Steven shot up from the floor, soaked in sweat and panting from the terror he just went through in his dream. He lowered his hands down to his stomach to check on his Gem, as in his mind it still felt as if it was rotated to show off its diamond shape, though to his relief, it was the same as always.

"Oh, Con-Connie, you're here." He said with a relived smile, glad his friend was safe...or as safe as she could be.

She sat up, yawning as she rubbed her eye, assumably waking from her own nap. "Yeah.." She said tiredly. "Can't exactly leave."

They both turned to the door as it began to rumble, it opened up to reveal Blue once again, and just as she was in his dream, she looked very upset. "I can not believe you!" She repeated. "Making a scene like that!"

Steven felt deja vu hit him like a freight train as she stepped into the room. "Woah, deja blue" He said quietly.

Connie stepped forward and put a hand on his shoulder. "We didn't mean any harm! I asked Steven to dance, he wasn't trying to cause trouble." She attempted to defend them.

"What do you know about this, human?" Blue spat with distaste, glaring at the child.

"You think I've never been grounded before?" Connie asked smugly as she put a hand on her hip.

"Not helping..." Steven thought, though he decided to stay quiet.

"Groun-ded?" Blue questioned, phrasing it awkwardly, not sure what this organic creature was even trying to say at this point.

"Blue, you gotta let us out of here, we're gunna starve!" Steven spoke up with urgency heavy in his voice.

" 'Starve'? What is this? Another made up problem? Another trick so I cave and let you out?" She questioned, seemingly getting frustrated. "Well not this time! You're not leaving this tower until you apologize for fusing at the ball!"

Steven just glanced over to Connie and then back to her. "...no." He said simply, much to the confusion of his friend and the anger of the blue monarch who gave a shocked gasp.

"Steven!" Connie tried to argue, just wanting this whole thing to be over with so they could save face and still possibly go home with this mission being somewhat of a success.

"What? I'm not sorry." He stated like it was the most obvious thing. He refused to apologize for something like fusion, if he apologized for this, it would bring shame to Stevonnie, it would basically be saying that Garnet should apologize for her being fused.

"...we finally have you back..." Blue began as she put her hands up to her face. "and you worse than ever!" Her blue aura of emotions enveloped the room, the effects only seeming to get to Steven, sending him onto one of his knees as tears came to his eyes.

"Steven!" Connie cried out as she rushed over to him, holding his shoulder.

He leaned back up with a smile. "It's fine, I'm not even sad." He said, wiping the river of tears away though it didn't do anything to stop them.

"But you're really dehydrated!" She tried to argue, worried for his health.

Steven didn't bother to continue what he saw as a meaningless argument at the moment despite it being about his health. "Blue, Connie and I fuse all the time, it's totally normal and fine." Steven said firmly as he looked back up to her.

This seemed to only upset the Diamond more, she cupped her face with her hands as her tears fell. "In what universe could that possibly be fine?!" She cried.

"THIS universe, the Crystal Gems fuse all the time too." He said with a smile, but it quickly fell to a frown. "Blue, you have to tell me where their gems are, they didn't do anything wrong!"

"Ohhh, Pink!" She cried out, getting even more frustrated. "Your time on earth has warped your sense of right and wrong!"

"Yeah, maybe it has, maybe Pink thought it was right when you locked her in here when she messed up," He spoke back to her, refusing to just accept this attitude towards fusion and what they thought was right and wrong.

"But I know what it's like to have a loving family, and we don't do stuff like this to each other. The Crystal Gems understand that I'm Steven, and they support me and Connie." He said taking his friend's hand. "And you guys poofed them for sticking up for me. That isn't normal!"

Blue grew furious, tired of hearing all of this from the boy. "That's enough!" She shouted, forming a concentrated ball of emotions and throwing it at him, sending him flying against a wall.

He felt the tears falling down his cheeks intensify. "...this isn't normal..." he said, looking back up to the Diamond. "...how many times did you lock her in here? How many times did you make her cry?"

Blue seemed to get ahold of herself once more, taken back by the statement and how true it really was. "I didn't...I..." Her wave of emotions disappeared and she made her way over to the window, leaning against the wall. "And I'm doing it again...aren't I?" She began to cry again.

Steven used his floating powers to jump onto the windowsill. "This is why you left...isn't it?" Blue asked, a wave of guilt washing over her.

Steven still had tears in his eyes, despite the fact that she wasn't using her powers on him anymore.

"You were right to leave..." She admitted sadly, knowing that the reason Pink had been gone was because of them now. "I always thought that you were failing this world...but if you were happier on earth...maybe this world was failing you."

They both looked out the window to see the view of the planet from the tower window. "We never should've brought you back here." She said, knowing what to do now.

"Your..."family", your "Crystal Gems" are bubbled." She said picking both Steven and Connie up in her hands and holding them closer to her face. "Let's get you all back in your legs,...back home."

-=Pink Diamond's old room=-

-=Blue Diamond/Steven/Connie=-

The large Homeworld leader quietly entered the pink room, glancing around to make sure no nosey Gems were peeping.

Once she was sure the coast was clear, she removed her hand from her chest to reveal that she smuggled Steven and Connie out in her hair in front of her chest. "Alright, it's safe."

The two left their hiding spot and dropped to the ground, immediately making their way to the snacks.

"Food!" They both cry out in unison, realizing just how hungry they were, and much to Blue's disgust, they began scarfing down the snacks noisily.

They took a moment to relax before going back into action. Steven changed out of his Diamond attire and put on his normal clothes while Connie threw on her coat, both ready to break the Gems out of their prison.

Connie took the time for some reason to say goodbye to the Pebbles while Steven approached Blue Diamond.

"I'm ready." He spoke, getting her attention. "We got friends to save."

-=Yellow Diamond's bubble room=-

-Blue Diamond/Steven/Connie=-

Blue marched across the bridge that led to Yellow's bubble room, her hand over her chest, hiding the two preteens on her that sat there, a serious look on her face.

She stopped before two Topaz guards who seemed to slightly panic at the sight of her. They let the trio in and closed the door behind them.

Blue was quick to set the two children down on the floor while the lights turned on one at a time.

Once the final light turned on, the Crystal Gems were revealed...right above Yellow Diamond's throne which held Yellow herself. "What..." She begins to speak sternly, looking very mad. "are you doing?"

"I'm taking back my friends!" Steven shouted to her confidently.

Yellow looked down on him with a bored and uncaring expression. "What are you doing, Blue." She specified. "Take Pink back to the tower."

Blue looked to her sister in the eye. "She prefers to be called Steven." She said, looking down the the boy with a smile, Steven and Connie looking back up, returning smiles of their own.

Yellow had heard enough, she slammed her hand down onto the armrest of her throne, sending cracks all over the impact zone.

"What are you talking about?" She asked, standing up. "You can't keep bending the rules for her, Blue! She has to set and example, we have to set an example! If we bend the rules for her we have to bed them for everyone!"

Connie spoke up to the Diamond. "Well maybe you should!" She shouted, Yellow only sending her a look of disgust and confusion.

She began to approach Blue, stomping with each step. "That them back to the tower. Now!" She demanded, pointing at the two of them.

Blue stood her ground. "I will not." She said firmly, refusing to back down under the Diamond's intimidating presence.

"Then I'll do it myself." Yellow glared as she reached down for the two bystanders of the argument.

Blue refused to let Yellow lock Steven up again, so she uncharacteristically resorted to physical violence by slapping her her hand away.

"Blue?!" Yellow raises her voice once more, surprised that Blue of all Gems would do such a thing.

Blue seemed equally shocked at her actions but now that she was in this deep she continued. She made another ball of emotion and threw it at the yellow monarch, sending her sliding a few feet back.

Yellow grew even more furious at this and charged at Blue, grabbing her by the wrist. Blue winced in pain but made another one and slammed it into Yellow, making the strict Diamond begin to tear up. She shook off the tears before slapping Blues other hand away from her.

"Steven, now!" Connie said urgently. He grabbed her and lifted her up under his arm before jumping away, right as Yellow's foot stomped into the ground where they were just standing.

They floated up to the large yellow bubble that held his family, both of them landing on it. Yellow noticed this and went to grab them but Steven was quick to summon his bubble and protect them

Blue grabbed her hand, Yellow still holding her other wrist, the two of them now fighting on who gets ahold of Steven's bubble.

"When we thought Pink was shattered, when she abandoned us, I alone was there for you, and you would use your power against ME?!" She shouted in Blue's face, slamming her into the wall.

Not two seconds later, the wall broke under the pressure of the two titan sized rulers, sending not only the two of them through it, but Steven and Connie as well, thankfully they were still in the bubble though.

The three of them were lucky enough to land perfectly on a narrow bridge under the room, cracks spreading under the two larger Diamonds.

Steven's bubble bounced along the bridge before dissipating and sending the yellow bubble with the Crystal Gems in it tumbling down off the side of the bridge.

"Nooo!" Steven went to jump for the bubble but Yellow snatched him up.

"Oh no you don't, you're going back to your tower!" Yellow shouted as she gripped him firmly. She then reached for Connie planning to crush the organic annoyance between her fingers.

"Connie, run!" Steven reached out for his friend, finding a new modification to his power as his bubble went from him to wrap around her. The sudden change in uneven footing caught her off guard and sent her falling onto her butt.

Before anyone could stop her, she fell off the side of the bridge as well. Steven wanted to summon his bubble so that he could escape, but he didn't want to accidentally take away the one he put around Connie so he attempted to hold out.

Yellow squeezed him tighter making him unable to breath properly, his vision fading in and out until he blacked out.

The yellow monarch approached Blue with a glare as she recovered from their fall, standing up. "You'd hurt a fellow Diamond?!"

"Steven!" Blue shouted, noticing the sleeping teen. "Let her go, something is wrong!"

"No, it's just another trick to get our sympathy, I refuse to fall for this anymore!" She said, but nevertheless loosening her grip, which allowed him to breath properly.

Blue rushed at Yellow, planning on taking Steven from her, but Yellow had had enough. She charged up her power and fired her yellow electricity at her with all she had.

Blue fell to the ground writhing in pain but her fellow monarch didn't let up. She closed her eyes, trying to block out the screams that Blue let out.

After a few seconds she was certain that Blue wouldn't be able to fight again so she let up, watching the Diamond lay on the ground covered in yellow lines, trying to recover from her attack.

"That's enough Blue, now I'm taking Pink back to the tower and we won't speak of this again, do you understand?" Yellow spoke as she stood over her, not getting a response.

She went to go walk back to the tower again but she was suddenly stopped as White's Pearl appeared in front of her from under the ground.

"White Diamond requests Pink's presence." She said, her creepy smile and pose being held in place.

"W-White, please just let me handle this, Pink messed up and she'll be locked in the tower for it, nothing else is necessary." Yellow insisted, now fearing for Steven/Pink's well-being.

"White Diamond requests Pink's presence." She repeated, this time with a more demanding tone.

Yellow knew better than to fight back against White so she set the sleeping boy down next to the mindless Pearl. The two of them were enveloped in her white sphere before floating off towards White's ship.

Once they appeared before White Diamond the Pearl dropped him off and left. Steven found his conscious returning now, though when he looked up to see where he was he felt that he would've been better off staying asleep.

"You've hardly been here for a week and you're already causing such problems," She hummed. "I think it's time you start acting like a proper Diamond, I'm done coddling you Pink, it's time to grow up." She said, her eyes glowing white, the blinding light forcing Steven to look away.

-=End Of Chapter=-
