Yang's Sad Past and Determination to Help a Friend

Ruby is seen looking all sad because her teammate, Blake, isn't coming to the dance because she is too focus on trying the stop the White Fang all by herself and that worries the young leader the most.

"I need you to pick a tablecloth." Weiss placed two clothes in front of Ruby as they both seemingly familiar shades of white.

Ruby look at cloths with a confusing look before going back to Weiss.

"Aren't they both the same?" Ruby asked.

"I don't even know why I asked!" Weiss rolled her eyes and walked away.

Kakarot and Yang came to Ruby while carrying large speaker boxes over their shoulders though the young monkey boy is holding two while Yang just carries one, they put the speaker boxes down for a little break.

"Still worry for Blake?" Kakarot asked the obvious question.

"Yeah… This dance will be is pointless if Blake isn't coming." Ruby exclaimed.

"I hear ya, that girl needs to focus on the here and now instead of the past." Kakarot rolled his eyes.

"Don't worry, Kakarot, I promise that Blake will go to the dance even if it kills me!" Yang determined with a hand on Kakarot's cheek making him blush.

Yang quickly realizes what she is doing right now and retreated her hand away while her cheeks blush too, then she saw Weiss setting up something which she got upset.

"Hey Weiss, where did you say you want these doilies at?" Krillin asked.

"Weiss! I thought we agreed: No doilies!" Yang complained.

"If I don't get doilies, you don't get fog machines!" Weiss walked up and pointed her finger at Yang with a slight glare.

Then Neptune, Sun, Bluma, and Yamcha have just enter the Ballroom seeing some of the decorations display around walking up to RWBY and KK.

"Your dance is gonna have fog machines?" Neptune asked.

"We were thinking about it." Weiss said smiling at Neptune.

"Sounds awesome, I wish the dance I've been to had fog machines like at one of those rock concerts." Bulma suggested.

"Man, I'm so stoke for the dance! Can't wait to show off the moves I've been working on!" Yamcha smirked as Bulma rolls her eyes at her boyfriend.

"You ladies all excited for dress-up?" Sun asked.

"Yeah, right." Ruby rolled her eyes, not into dressing up pretty these days with a little laugh.

"Laugh all you want. I'll be turning heads tomorrow night!" Yang smirked.

"Not before I blast those heads away because I'm the only attention you'll want." Kakarot flirted while blushing a little making Yang smile.

"Will you two just ask each other out already?" Krillin asked teasing.

"So, what are you guys going to be wearing?" Weiss asked the four friends.

"Uh… This?" Sun gestured at his casual clothing.

"Ignore him for he knows not what he says." Neptune exclaimed.

"Hey, can't blame a guy who grew up in Vacuo." Yamcha stated.

"Yeah, the place is not exactly a shirt-and-tie kind of place even before I moved to Mistral." Sun said proudly to have been born in Vacuo.

"Yeah, we noticed." Yang chuckled as she, Ruby, and Weiss do the same "obvious" expression.

"Soooo... what does Blake think of all this? She still being all, y'know... Blake-y?" Sun asked being worried for Blake.

"Unfortunately, but Yang said she has plan to convince her to come for the dance that just might work." Kakarot mentioned.

"Trust me, black monkey stud; Blake will be at the dance tomorrow." Yang promised.

(With Blake)

Speaking of Blake, she is seen at the Beacon Library staring her tiring eyes at the hologram computer screen as she is trying to dig up any information about the White Fang and their recent activities though nothing came up so far and she is still looking. Suddenly, a little red dot appeared on the screen which got Blake's attention as it moves up and down to her hand the disappear entirely, she didn't think much of it and went back to the computer until the red dot came back.

This time, Blake got a little angry and look around though couldn't find anyone who could be making the cat-Faunus of RWBY see the red dot again as it moves on the screen, then it went on the floor. Blake wanted to ignore the red dot and get back on her research, but her instinct is telling her that it won't go away until she finds out where it's coming from, so she got off the chair and follow the red dot blindly through some shelves until she felt her body bump into something, or someone.

"He-lloooo!" Yang greeted friendly.

"What are you…?" Blake's questioned was cut off when Yang grabbed her arm.

"We need to talk." Yang dragged Blake away as she let out a single cry of surprise.

(With Kakarot)

"Man, all the decoration sure was boring. This dance better be worth it… And I hope Yang will say yes to me asking her to the dance." Kakarot said feeling nervous.

But then he stops when he senses two familiar presences close by as he concentrates harder to figure out that it's Yang and Blake together in the same room, he decided to go see what this plan Yang is to convince Blake to go to the dance.

He made his way to the Lecture Hall as the power sensor lead him here.

"Yang, if you're going to tell me to stop, you may as well save your breath." Blake said glaring.

Kakarot peek from the corner of the door seeing Blake walking back and forth while Yang is looking calm and sitting leg-crossed on a desk.

"I don't want you to stop; I want you to slow down." Yang said.

"I don't have the luxury to slow down." Blake argued.

"It's not a luxury; it's a necessity." Yang countered.

"The "necessity" is stopping Torchwick." Blake pointed out angry.

"(Remnant sake, Blake. Can't you just listen to reason for once.)" Kakarot thought sighed.

"And we're going to. But first you have to sit down and listen to what I have to say." Yang patted the desk for Blake to sit with her.

Blake wanted to just walk out of this room and get back to her research on the White Fang in order to stop them, but she knew that Yang isn't going to let her go so easily as she would also use force to stop her from leaving if she tried going the hard way.

"Fine." Blake surrendered and sat on the desk with her blonde partner.

"Ruby and I grew up in Patch, an island off the coast of Vale. Our parents were Huntsmen. Our dad taught at Signal, and our mom took on missions around the kingdom. Her name was Summer Rose, and she was, like... Super-Mom: Baker of cookies and slayer of giant monsters. And then... one day she left for a mission and never came back." Yang looked sad, remembering how that day was for her and the family. Blake and Kakarot look sad for her that she lost someone important to her, feeling they would also feel that way if they lost either of their parents.

"(Maybe I can convince Blake to have a video chat with mom and dad later.)" Kakarot thought suggested.

"It was tough. Ruby was really torn up, but... I think she was still too young to really get what was going on, y'know? And my dad just kind of... shut down. It wasn't long before I learned why. Summer wasn't the first love he lost; she was the second. The first... was my mom." Yang revealed shocking Blake and the hiding Kakarot.

"He wouldn't tell me everything, but I learned that the two of them had been on a team together with Summer and Qrow, and that she'd left me with him right after I was born. No one had seen her since." Yang explained looking a little sadder.

"Why did she leave you?" Blake asked.

"That question... Why?" Yang sighed as she got off the desk and walk to the chalkboard.

"I didn't know an answer, but I was determined to find out. It was all I thought about. I would ask anyone I could about what they knew about her." Yang picked up a chalk and start to draw something on the board she explains her story.

(Flashback)

A younger Yang is seemed inside a room as she looked down and picked up a smashed picture frame what she believed to be something of a big clue.

"Then, one day, I found something. What I thought was a clue that could lead me to answers, or maybe even my mother." Yang mentioned.

The scene changed showing Yang is walking through a forest pulling a red wagon with a little, younger Ruby sleeping inside even though she wanted to go alone until Ruby convince her to come along.

"I waited for Dad to leave the house, put Ruby in a wagon, and headed out. I must've walked for hours. I had cuts and bruises, I was totally exhausted, but I wasn't gonna let anything stop me." Yang said.

Little Yang managed to find the house that was just like from the photo despite the extreme exhaustion she was feeling, she was glad to have found it hoping to find more answers.

"When we finally got there, I could barely stand, but I didn't care; I had made it. And then I saw them. Those burning red eyes..." Yang remembered how scared she was back then.

Red eyes started appearing from the darkness of the old house and came out are a horde of Beowolves growling at Little Yang as she became scared and couldn't move her body anymore as she soon realize that her little sister is also in danger too.

"There we were: A toddler sleeping in the back of a wagon and a stupid girl too exhausted to even cry for help. We might as well have been served on a silver platter. But, as luck would have it, our uncle showed up just in time." Yang smiled.

The Beowolves started to pounce toward the little children for the kill, but a shadowy man figure slashed one in half coming in to save Yang and Ruby.

(Flashback End)

The scene now shows Yang has finished her drawing of her uncle's emblem, the clockwork eye and put the chalk down.

"My stubbornness should've gotten us killed that night." Yang said, regretting that day almost getting herself, and her little sister, in danger.

"(Wow, I had no idea Yang went through such an ordeal. That damn woman better hope I never meet her or else I would give that so-called "mom" a beating she'll never forget.)" Kakarot thought clutched his fists.

"Yang... I'm sorry that happened to you, and I understand what you're trying to tell me, but this is different. I'm not a child, and this isn't just a search for answers! I can't just"

"I told you!" Yang yelled, still facing the board and clenching her fists.

"I'm not telling you to stop! I haven't! To this day, I still want to know what happened to my mother and why she left me, but I will never let that search control me. We're going to find the answers we're looking for, Blake. But if we destroy ourselves in the process, what good are we?" Yang pointed out strongly.

"You don't understand! I'm the only one who can do this!" Blake proclaimed, refusing to stop.

"No, you don't understand! If Roman Torchwick walked through that door, what would you do?" Yang asked with her eyes turned red of her anger, literally.

"I'd fight him!" Blake answered glaring.

"You'd lose!" Yang pushed Blake away.

"I can stop him!" Blake tried to push back, but she's too tired to make Yang budge.

"You can't even stop me!" Yang pushed Blake back again making her land on the desk.

"Not to mention, your stubbornness will also get Kakarot killed if you don't stop!" Yang yelled.

"No, he won't because I'll be doing this alone!" Blake proclaimed.

"You should know him better than anyone that he would still follow his big sister everywhere she goes, even if it means dying for you!" Yang stated.

"No, he won't! Blake yelled.

"Yes, I will!" Kakarot appeared and hugged Blake from behind.

"What…?!" Blake shocked.

"Blake, no matter what happens, I will always be there for you even when you are at your worst days. We did promise to always be there for each other." Kakarot mentioned the promise.

Blake's eyes widen upon remembering that promise they made years ago when they were kids, the promise that no matter what happens they will always have each other through thick and fin and through any danger in the way. Now she realizes what Yang has been saying to her and would never forgive herself if anything were to happen to Kakarot because of her stupid stubbornness, her eyes started to become watery and turns around hugging her adopted little brother back.

"I'm so sorry, I had no idea I could potential hurt anyone around me if I went on like this." Blake apologized.

"We know, Blake." Yang placed a hand on Blake's shoulder.

"We're not asking you to stop. Just please, get some rest. Not just for you, but for the people you care about." Yang stated.

"Yeah, I will, thank you two for not giving up on me." Blake thanked.

"No problem, big sister. Now, I suggest you get back to your dome because you stink right now." Kakarot joked a little pinching his nose.

"Okay, I get it. I'll get going and get ready for the dance tomorrow night." Blake chuckled as she walks away.

"And be sure to apologize to Sun too!" Kakarot called out before looking to Yang.

"Thank you, Yang. You have no idea how happy I am to see Blake waking up from the White Fang obsession, now she won't have to worry about the past holding her back anymore." Kakarot smiled.

"She's my teammate, I'll always have her back and nice to know you were here to help 'hug' some senses into her." Yang punned making Kakarot laugh.

"You know?" Kakarot laughed.

"I had a feeling." Yang said, then she was caught by surprise when Kakarot took her hands into his.

"Then I hope you don't mind me taking you to the dance, as a thank you for helping Blake." Kakarot offered as his cheeks blushed.

Yang couldn't believe this is happening, that the boy two years younger than her has finally ask her out to the Beacon Dance, her heart started racing and her hair flicker of flame a few times as she smiles.

"Yes, oh my Remnant, yes!" Yang excitingly jumped in joy.

(With Jaune)

Jaune and Pyrrha have just finished their training session in the night as took tomorrow night off since it's the night of the Beacon, Jaune took out a rose he hidden in his chest plate knowing what he has to do with it.

"(Come on, Jaune. You can do it.)" Jaune thought gathered his courage and turned to Pyrrha.

"Hey, Pyrrha?" Jaune said.

"Yes, Jaune?" Pyrrha asked, then she gasp upon seeing the rose in Jaune's hand and holding it up to her.

"I was wondering… If you're not doing anything tomorrow night, besides going to the dance, then would you like to accompany me as my… d-d-date?" Jaune asked nervously.

Pyrrha didn't answer for the past ten seconds as her eyes are widen of shock and her mouth open gasp that the boy of her dream has just asked her to be his date, this made Jaune worry that she hasn't answer yet and suddenly tackled him down with the sound of smooching.

(Tomorrow Night, Beacon Dance)

Yang is wearing her dance dress, a short, white, halter neck dress with a pale gray hem and white pumps. She is standing at the podium to welcome anyone who is coming to the dance, and saw Ruby entering.

"I hope I'm not late for the dance." Kakarot entered the Ballroom, wearing an orange tuxedo with a black tie.

"Whoa, mama is liking what she is seeing." Yang winked.

"Blake helped me with this. Not exactly my style of wardrobe, but I'll make an exception for tonight." Kakarot offered his hand to her.

"Then let's have a great night together." Yang smiled accepting his hand.
