Commotion and the Day After

Cardin sat by the bar, taking in the scenery of the club. Bodies of different sizes were dancing, beautiful girls and handsome men all doing their own thing.

He ordered a strawberry sunrise, never having tried drinking much alcohol in his past life. 'huh, this tastes pretty good' Cardin thought, he looked for Jaune and Pyrrha among the sea of bodies.

It was pretty easy to find two of them, Jaune looked like he was fumbling with his words and looked incredibly nervous. Pyrrha was smiling, Cardin was glad she found him charming or even gave him the time of day. It was a beautiful sight, Jaune Arc, the boy who he wanted to have a shot at happiness in the show and Pyrrha Nikos who should have had the chance.

They were talking, laughing and dancing out there. Cardin brought out his scroll and took a picture, Pyrrha was in Jaune's hands smiling and Jaune had pink in his cheeks and looked very nervous.

Jackson approached Cardin from the left "Hey man, not gonna dance?"

Cardin shook his head "Nah, I don't really feel like it. You go ahead though, don't hold back on my account"

"Hm, alright. Just make sure you enjoy yourself" Jackson waved as he went over to a pretty looking girl.

Taking another drink, still looking at the club and its various people. He noticed something about the guards, 'wait a moment, isn't The Club where Yang like goes on a rampage in the Yellow trailer'Cardin looked to his left on the bar and noticed that there was that noticeable man. He was large, taller than Cardin was. This man was obviously Junior, Cardin knew him of course. That means, any second now a blonde brawler would walk out that door and all hell would break loose.

Cardin looked to the door, it seemed like no one was there. He waited for around an hour and it seemed like there wouldn't be anything happening 'Maybe it'll be some other day'

Jaune and Pyrrha walked up to Cardin "Hey man" Jaune said, he was a little sweaty but it wasn't openly noticeable.

"You two enjoy your dance?" Cardin smirked

"It was wonderful! Jaune is a really good dancer" Pyrrha thanked Cardin who nodded

"Of course, I'm glad you two are comfortable around each other"

Cardin glanced over at the door and saw a certain blonde. He turned to Jaune and Pyrrha, "You guys should take this chance to maybe chat in the VIP room, take Jackson with you"

"Why? What's wrong?" Jaune asked

Cardin replied "There's about to be a commotion here and I don't want you guys to be a part of it"

"Is it dangerous?" asked Pyrrha with a serious tone. 'Yep, definitely a huntress in training'

Cardin waved "I... don't know, but regardless I don't want you guys caught up in any trouble. You two can go to the VIP room we rented."

Pyrrha looked like she wanted to argue but Jaune grabbed her shoulder "I trust you Cardin, come on Pyrrha"

"Alright, let's go find Jackson in all of this" Pyrrha said.

"No need to, I heard the conversation." Jackso said already walking toward the stairs.

Cardin laughed "You three go, I'll run to you guys if things get to hairy"

Jaune and Pyrrha nodded. "So are we hiding or what?" asked Jackson who ran up.

They walked up the stairs right in time.

Yang Xiao Long entered the scene. Cardin was taken in, she looked a lot more beautiful than the show gave her credit for. Her long blonde hair and beautiful physique. She approached Junior, who told his goons to disperse the crowd.

Cardin had seen it before, Yang grabbed Junior by the family jewels "Tell me where to find her and I'll let you go"

"I've never seen her before I swear"

Yang let go of the man's jewels "Looks like we have a crowd"

Junior composed himself "Blondie, if you want out of this club alive you better apologize or you'll pay for what you did"

Yang teased "I was just playing with you, come on relax. Come on, let's kiss and make up alright?"

"Ok?" Junior said carefully.

They got closer to each other but Cardin couldn't take it "Woah woah! That's illegal, and not to mention disturbing"

"How old are you again? Like forty? She's like sixteen" Cardin said with disgust. Approaching the two, Junior and Yang looked at the boy.

"Ooh, who are you, Hotshot?" Yang asked.

"Cardin, looks like Junior is pissed"

"You know, you might be a son of some wealthy businessman but stick your nose out of this" Junior told Cardin.

Cardin put his hands up defensively "Hey man, if you want to kiss an underage girl be my guest but don't do it in front of me"

"Why you little-" Junior grabbed Cardin's shoulder but he crouched and imbued his hand with a little bit of explosive dust sending Junior flying in the air.

Yang laughed "You're a riot!" she leapt up and threw a punch so hard it sent Junior through a pillar. She cocked Ember Celica "Who's next!"

Cardin looked for a weapon, luckily one of the thugs ran up from behind him who had a bat. Cardin grabbed his wrist as he swung and punched his face, "I'll be taking that, thank you very much"

Cardin was at least a decent huntsman in training and he knew that but there was no way he was going to only use his aura and his fists in this fight. Victory goes to those who are humble and this Cardin wasn't cocky by any means.

Cardin lifted the bat, "Pretty good weight, not too heavy but it's a little on the lighter side" he said as he swung it at another guy who was running at him.

This sent the goon into a table, Cardin was in a ready stance "Come get some!"

Yang was tearing through the room, goon after goon she was on fire. Literally and figuratively, in the show she didn't look like much when she fought but seeing her flying through the air and punching bad guys left and right made Cardin see her as a dragon.

Yang took care of the DJ who brought out a gun. Junior got up and swung as Cardin, Cardin dodged. "You kids are such a pain in the ass"

"I don't know, I think the man running Vale's most famous club who is also a member of the underground crime ring AND tried to kiss a minor is a little bit more annoying than one teenage girl who wanted answers and some guy who's a passerby" threw back Cardin.

Junior fumed he aimed his rocket launcher at Cardin, he fired four homing missiles at him. Cardin saw this and threw up a table to block the explosions. In the cover of dark grey smoke he rushed forward and hit Junior's head with the bat, this didn't take Junior out of commission and served to make him more angry.

But Cardin wasn't having any of it and in a fluid motion, he took the bigger man's wrist and disarmed him, took his weapon and swung it like a baseball bat. Junior was stuck in the wall, out cold, his weapon bent.

Cardin saw Yang finishing up the twins.

Cardin approached Yang who looked at him "I could've handled them myself you know"

"Believe me, I know" Cardin said

She chuckled "What? You saw how I fought those two? You like what you see?"

Cardin recalled the Yellow trailer from his past life "Yeah I guess"

"Wow, I didn't think you'd answer that honestly Hotshot. Anyway, gotta go my sis is waiting for me. Thanks for the help"

Cardin shrugged "you don't need to thank me, I was caught up in it"

Yang waved goodbye. Cardin looked behind him to see Jaune had already walked down the stairs "You guys missed the party" Cardin said

"Only because you told us to leave, I definitely could've laid one or two of them out myself" Jaune said punching the air like a boxer.

"Yeah I know you could, but it was dangerous anyway. I don't want any of you guys to get hurt right now, especially since Beacon is coming up"

Pyrrha was followed by Jackson down the stairs "The thought is appreciated but we cpuld have helped" Pyrrha said

Jackson shook his head "No, no. I think Cardin has a point, honestlt I'm more of a lover not a fighter"

"So looks like we can't have a good night out with the club like this" Cardin then asked "Any ideas?"

"None here" Jackson sighed "I didn't think it would get this bad this time of night"

Pyrrha also put her hand up "Sorry, I don't really get out much"

Jaune snapped his fingers "I have a great idea!"

"Where might we be going Jaune?" Asked Pyrrha curiously as she followed the boy closely.

"Well Pyr, you see this place is the best place tp go when you're bored and have money" Jaune smiled excitedly

"Pyr? Are you guys that close already?" Cardin teased and Jaune blushed "W-wha- Where did that come from?"

Jackson laughed and put his hand over Cardin's shoulder "Yeah, you guys seem lovey dovey for just meeting tonight"

Jaune and Pyrrha blushed "I-it was just a friendly thing right Pyr? It's not any way romantic"

Pyrrha nodded "Yes, of course" with a blush she said under her breath "Not yet, anyway"

Jaune and Jackson didn't catch it and asked "What was that?"

Cardin roared with laughter "You guys are a riot" wiping a tear from his eyes. The small group of friends laughed together.

Jaune brought them in front of an arcade. "Oh dang, it's been such a long time since I've been to one of these" Jackson looked with nostalgia. Cardin raised his eyebrow with a smirk "I kind of expected this"

"Welcome! To my favourite hang out spot!" Jaune said.

"I'll buy some tokens for each of us" he said and he held his hand out. Cardin brought out a few hundred lien cards, "This is enough right?"

Jaune gulped "Wow... that's a lot of money" he too. Cardin shouted from the back "You can take a hundred if you'd like!"

Jaune, Cardin, Jackson and Pyrrha entered the place and to Cardin's surprise he could see games which were like from his old world with just slightly different names.

The group went over to a few arcade cabinets with a fighting game similar to Tekken that Cardin played in his old world. "You sure you want to go against me Cardin? I reached Juggernaut in the console version you know" Jaune boasted

Cardin shrugged "Let's see about that"

In his past life, Cardin was a person you would call a turbo nerd when it came to gaming and entertainment, at one time he spent an entire week looking up combos for his favourite character and the next playing everyday until he reached a rank a full five tiers higher than what Jaune described his rank to be.

So with that being known, Jaune lost spectacularly. "Wow, I didn't think you would be that good"

"Yeah I don't seem like the type but I'm an avid gamer" Cardin laughed.

Pyrrha was in front of a light gun shooting game or whatever. Cardin noticed that she wanted to play but it seems she didn't know how to or had the tokens to do so. "Jaune, get over to Pyrrha, stat. Try playing the game with her"

"Really? I don't know, why don't yo-"

Cardin hit Jaune's back "Come on, it had to be you. Go for it man"

Jaune shrugged "Afterwards wanna play some DDR?"

Cardin shook his head "I'll end up stubbing my toe, though I think Jackson is good at it"

Jackson was already on the DDR machine doing wonders, his feet were moving fast and he wasn't even breaking a sweat. "See?" Cardin said.

Jaune nodded and went to Pyrrha. The night continued and they enjoyed themselves in the arcade. Eventually time was up and they had to go. Jackson and Pyrrha were going to the same area since they were cousins and Jackson had to make sure she had to get home safely.

"Oh I'm not there to guard her, I'm going to make sure she doesn't accidentally permanently cripple a few troublemakers" Jackson laughed.

Cardin agreed "Yeah, seems about right"

"Hey, I'm not violent" Pyrrha pouted.

Jaune backed up Pyrrha "Yeah, I'm sure. But stay safe when going home"

It was almost unnoticeable but Pyrrha blushed and she smiled "Of course Jaune"

Jaune and Cardin were going the same direction. As they were about to turn, Cardin grabbed Jaune by the arm "Bro, tell her tonight was a good night and you had fun"

"But we-"

"Just do it man, oh and make sure you call her by the nickname"

"Fine"

Jaune turned back and called for Pyrrha "Pyr! Thanks for tonight! It made me really happy"

Pyrrha turned back "No Jaune, I thank you! You've really made my night"

Jackson elbowed her and said something inaudible earning him a punch to the gut. She waved goodbye at the two boys.

"See man? What did I tell you, she definitely has to be into you now"

Jaune blushed and became defensive "No way man! She's way too pretty, there's no way she doesn't already have a boyfriend. Plus there's no way she'll give me the time of day"

"Wanna bet?" Cardin asked and continued "If you and her end up together or if she likes you, you're going to have to wear a dress in an occasion I decide. If you win I'll do whatever you want"

"Deal!" Jaune held his hand out and Cardin took it. "Oh you are so gonna regret this" Cardin smiled in a sinister manner.

"Oh get ready to run around Beacon with only two paper plates" Jaune said as sparks flew between the two, now close, friends.

Cardin boarded the bullhead to Beacon, he waved goodbye at his father and his mother who came to see him off. "Good luck at Beacon son!" shouted his mother as she blew into a handkerchief, tears flowing from her eyes.

Dean smiled "So us proud!"

Even his uncle Sam Winchester was there to see off the young Winchester. "Go get 'em! Bring a few girls with you while you're at it! We can trade notes!" Sam shouted earning a laugh from Cardin and a smack to the back of the head from Dean "What the hell man, what are you teaching my son?"

"Oh shut it Dean, you've done it more than I have!"

Cardin saw the bond between his uncle and his father, true blood brothers. Cardin wanted a relationship like that in some form, someone he could trust wholly as a friend and a comrade.

Cardin stood by the window, he looked around. It seems that this was the second bullhead to get to the academy since he didn't recognize most of the faces. He saw a couple here and there but that was mostly because he's looked into attendees of the academy through Jackson's files.

Then there he was, Russel Thrush of team CRDL (or at least soon to be) sitting by his lonesome taking in the view. He wore a pair of jeans and a green hoodie, his weapons Shortwings were on his back. he carried a trunk that Cardin assumed had his clothes in it.

Cardin approached Russel, "Hello nice to meet you"

Russel looked at Cardin "Hm? Oh yeah, nice to meet you"

"You don't seem too excited about coming to the Academy" Cardin wanted to keep the conversation going.

"Well, not everyone wants to head here." Russel answered.

Cardin wanted to make it humorous to lighten the mood "Hey, at least there would be pretty girls right?"

Surprisingly, Russel smiled and laughed a little "That is true, by the way, what's your name?"

"Cardin Winchester" Cardin stuck his hand out and Russel took it.

"Russel Thrush, you seem like a cool guy" Russel complimented Cardin.

"You too man, anyway yeah. Let's have a good time at Beacon" Cardin said.

"Well, I'll make the most of it" Russel closed his eyes and shrugged

I wonder what their personalities will be like.Oh and I'm gonna say, this story is very much going to have one of my favourite ships being Arkos. If I ship Cardin with someone else in the future I don't know but right now, he will focus on developing connections.Hope you guys enjoyed the chapter!
