"What in the fuck is that thing?" Blitzo said, peering through the glass.
The group from I.M.P were all huddled up next to the big glass window staring into the parking lot.
"Maybe it's someone's pet who got loose," Moxxie said, trying to come up with a conclusion.
"What the hell kind of pets have you seen in your life?" Loona asked.
"I'm just trying to come up with an answer," Moxxie said in defense.
"Well whatever this thing is, it's walking over people's cars," Millie said.
"HEY YOU BETTER NOT FUCK UP MY VAN ASSHOLE," Blitzo said as he banged on the glass.
The creature seemed to be exploring its surroundings as it slowly crawled over the parked cars. It left dents and claw marks as it went by.
"I'm about to go down there and scare this stupid thing off," Blitzo said pulling out his pistol.
"Sir, is that really a good idea?" Moxxie questioned.
"Why not? We have dealt with crazier shit than this. I ain't letting my baby get destroyed by this shit for brains," Blitzo said walking towards the door.
"We should follow him to make sure nothing bad happens," Millie said to her husband.
"Ugh, fine," Moxxie said reluctantly. The three imps got in the elevator and went down to the first floor. As they exited Blitzo led the way as he pointed his pistol in the sky. Like before, the creature was still present in the parking lot of the building.
"Well I will admit, this thing is pretty fucking ugly. If this is someone's pet, I can see why they ditched the damn thing," Blitzo said as he approached it. "Hey you freak, get the hell away from my precious van. You wreck it, and I will sue your ass." He then fired a shot in the air in hopes to scare the creature off. But it didn't work. The creature took two steps to face Blitzo and let out a loud screech.
"Uh I think you just pissed it off," Millie said from behind.
"Perhaps I did. But this will hurt worse than a hard insult," Blitzo said while reloading his gun. He took aim and blasted a round that hit the creature in its chest. While it reacted to the pain, it didn't immobilize or kill it. It just made it angrier.
"Okay that didn't seem to hurt it," Blitzo said, taking a step back.
"Got a good plan now sir?" Moxxie asked as he began to back up.
"I got one. DUCK," Blitzo said as he hit the deck. The creature launched a ball of pure fire at the Imps which sent them to the ground.
"This thing can throw fire?" Millie said asking the obvious question.
"But wait, we are demons, this fire shouldn't hurt us right?" Moxxie asked as he peered back at the creature.
"You're right Moxxie," Blitzo said, getting back to his feet. "Eat this you bastard," he said while returning fire. His shot missed the creature as it launched another fireball at him. The fireball hit Blitzo directly and knocked him off his feet. He came to rest against the wall on the first floor.
"BLITZ!" Millie said as she went over to him, "Are you okay?"
"I am just peachy Millie," Blitzo said looking down at his chest.
"Did the fire hurt you?" Millie asked.
"No. I don't seem to be burned, but that doesn't mean it can't knock the wind out of you," Blitzo said.
"I think you both should be more worried about this pissed off animal that is throwing FIRE," Moxxie said as he pulled out a gun and started to shoot.
"Right! Uh I don't really have a plan here except to shoot the fuck out of this thing," Blitzo said picking his gun back up. The creature let out another screech as it charged at them. It climbed and leaped over cars, not giving the Imps a good shot. It threw another fireball at Blitzo, but this time he avoided it. But it didn't help much as the creature used it's sharp claws to swing at Blitz. He cut him badly as blood began to pour out of his chest. Blitzo was once again sent to the floor. The creature pounced on top of Blitzo and would have gotten another swing at him, had it not been for Millie. She jumped on top of it and began to stab it repeatedly in the head until it threw her off. Moxxie continued to fire rounds at it. The creature was slowing down as the damage it had sustained had begun to take its toll. As it began to throw another fireball, Blitzo shot it right between its eyes, and it fell to the floor motionless. Blitzo let out a sigh of relief as he fell back onto the ground.
"What…...the….fuck….was that shit?" Blitzo said, breathing heavily.
"Are you alright sir?" Moxxie asked, stowing his gun away.
"Eh, I'm alright. I am bleeding pretty bad though," Blitzo said looking at the blood on his hand.
"We should get you patched up," Millie said.
"Before we do, let's get a good look at this fucker," Blitzo said. He kicked it a few times to make sure it was dead. With his foot he rolled it on its back.
"Jesus. Where did this thing come from? Did it come from one of the other rings?" Moxxie said.
"I don't think so. I have never seen something like this ANYWHERE else in hell," Blitzo said.
"And this thing was not the easiest thing to bring down as well," Millie said
"Yeah, I would not like to run into any more of these things," Moxxie said.
"Should we tell anyone about this?" Millie asked.
"Maybe. Depends if anyone would give a shit about this," Blitzo said pressing his hand to his stomach.
"Why would they not sir? This thing is dangerous and could kill you. If whatever this thing is, is making its way into this circle, they should be warned," Moxxie said giving his suggestion.
"I agree," Millie stated.
"Okay fine. But like, who the fuck should we tell?" Blitzo asked.
"I don't know, the authorities, the king, the royal family, just someone at this point," Moxxie said, giving some examples.
"WAIT I GOT A GRAND IDEA," Blitzo said, raising his finger in the air.
"Why does this sound alarming?" Moxxie asked,
Blitzo reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. He took a step back and put the phone in his hands. He turned it sideways and snapped a picture of the dead creature.
"Sir, may I ask you what you are doing?" Moxxie asked.
"I am using this creature as a way to increase our business. Imagine, we show these demons how capable we are of killing by showing them the tough ass creature we took down," Blitzo said, restoring his phone in his pocket.
"B, we should probably focus on you not bleeding out then on this idea at the moment," Millie said.
"Oh yeah. Okay first aid and THEN I will get busy with our marketing scheme," Blitzo said walking towards the elevator.
"Even in the face of death, he still thinks about business," Moxxie mutters to Millie.
(Hours Later)
Blitzo was scribbling away on his notepad. He was trying to come up with a headline or some type of slogan OR even a new commercial. Blitzo had a knack for this sort of thing. It is one of the main reasons why he was one of the first Imps to start their own business. He then kicked open his door and walked into the meeting room and placed his easel in front of his employees. He was in such a rush he didn't even bother to put on a shirt.
"Alright assholes, listen up. I have been brainstorming and I have some ideas," Blitzo announced.
"So you really are going to use this for gain?" Moxxie asked.
"Why not? As the saying goes, when a door opens another one opens. Wait no, is it closes? A door closes and another one opens? Whatever you get the fucking point," Blitzo said.
"So what are these great ideas?" Loona asked sarcastically.
"I am glad you asked. We can post this picture all over the internet or make a brand new commercial. It has certainly been awhile since we made one of those," Blitzo said.
"But that first commercial flopped. I thought that's why we haven't done one since," Moxxie said.
"No, we haven't made one because our business was working out great. We had no need to run a basic commercial anymore," Blitzo explained.
"So what would this commercial be about?" Millie asked.
"Well I don't have a 100% full idea, but we would show the image of this fucking creature and explain how we were the first ones to see it and kill it, which would strike fear into the hearts of everyone," Blitzo said.
"What if people think it's fake?" Moxxie asked.
"Moxxie why do you do this to me?" Blitzo said with a sigh.
"I'm just saying sir. This thing has never be seen once in the entire existence of hell. People may think it's just some BS stunt that we are pulling to attract customers," Moxxie explained.
"Well that may not be the case anymore," Loona said while looking at her phone.
"Why's that?" Moxxie asked.
"Well there has been more sightings of them, and more demons have been attacked by them," Loona said. They could tell she was reading something on her phone.
"How do you know that?" Blitzo asked.
"Its over the internet and probably the news," Loona said.
"Hm, hold on a moment," Blitzo said as he left the room.
As they waited for him to return, Millie decided to restart the conversation.
"Where were these sightings at?" Millie asked.
"Just all over the pride ring. These things killed a few demons as well," Loona said while scrolling through her phone.
Blitzo came back in while pushing in a small TV that sat atop a cart. He picked up the remote and began to switch through channels on the TV. Eventually he found the news station. And Loona was right, they showed pictures of this creature and some of the damages it left behind.
"Okay I guess you weren't lying," Moxxie said.
"Why would I lie? I have nothing to gain from it," Loona said.
"That helps us even more then. Now that these things are becoming more known, we can show people that we are very capable killers," Blitzo said.
"But sir, what if these people will take it the wrong way?" Moxxie asked.
"I am not following," Blitzo said.
Moxxie let out a sigh before speaking, "What if these people think that we are just the exterminators of these creatures. They will expect us to go out and kill them all. You can see that we all got a little banged us from just one of those things. It would be a bad idea to try and kill more of them."
"They wouldn't think that Moxxie. We are not the Immediate Exterminator Professionals. Our business does not involve cleaning up other people shit here in hell. They can get some other asshole to do that. Like I said before Moxxie, this idea could really erase any doubts some people may have on our credibility," Blitzo said.
"We already are getting a lot of clients, do we need to show off credibility?" Loona said while using air quotes around the word credibility.
"Of course. That allows us to bring in newer clients," Blitzo said.
"Not the worst idea if I have to say," Millie said after thinking about it for a second.
"That's the spirit Mills. Trust me, this will work out. So come on, we do not have a moment to lose," Blitzo said as he marched out of the room.
"Did he really leave as if we knew where he was going?" Loona said looking at the doorway.
"Yep," Moxxie said.
UAC Facility, Pacific Ocean
"This is quite strange," the intern said to himself. He was working on readings of demonic activity at his station and started to find some interesting discoveries. "These readings are not just coming from earth, but they are coming from another place as well." He kept looking more in depth to his discovery, as this could provide a point or origin to the demons still on earth.
"Hey sir, you are probably going to want to see this," He said waving the supervisor over.
"Has something happened?" He asked as he leaned in close.
"Possibly. Our systems has uncovered some new activity in this unknown location. I am trying to get a read on it, but I am unable to mark the location," the intern said while swiping away on the console.
"Hm. Could something be disrupting our system?" The supervisor said placing his hand to chin.
"That could be. But I am not sure as to what could be doing that," The intern said.
"Does something appear to be wrong?" Said Samuel Hayden as he joined in on this ongoing dilemma.
"I found traces of demon activity in this unknown location. I have no idea what this place is, or if our systems are being accurate at the moment," Said the intern.
"Hm. That is very interesting," Hayden said placing his arms behind his back.
"What do you think we should do sir?" The supervisor asked while adjusting his glasses.
"I will bring VEGA here to see if he could be of assistance," Hayden said. He went quiet for a moment before he spoke again,
"VEGA can you hear me?" Hayden asked placing his hand up to what would be his ear.
"Yes Dr. Hayden. If I may ask, what is the reason for you to summon me?" VEGA asked speaking loud enough for all three of them to hear.
"I want to see if you can pinpoint this location in our systems," Hayden said pointing towards the center console.
"One moment," VEGA said. The three of them sat in silence as VEGA went to work, but it didn't take him long as he recognized the location.
"That location is the pride ring. Located in Lucifer's circle of Hell," VEGA said after a few seconds.
"Lucifer's circle of hell?" The intern asked for clarification.
"VEGA, do you mean that new hell that the Slayer and you have been investigating?" Hayden asked.
"Correct Dr. Hayden," VEGA said.
"Wait, the Slayer found a new hell?" The intern asked with some surprise to his voice.
"Correct. A hell and a whole new world that is different from ours," Hayden said.
"So an entirely new dimension?" The intern asked again for clarification.
"Yes," Hayden said.
"If that is true, how could the demons from our world even gain access to that realm. And if so, what business would they have to invade?" The supervisor questioned.
"That I cannot be sure. It may be because the demons also found access when the Slayer stepped foot into their world. They are trying to push their power farther than just here," Hayden said.
"Would you like me to relay this information to the Slayer, Dr. Hayden?" VEGA asked.
"If what our systems is saying are true, then the Slayer must be notified at once," Hayden said.
"Yes Dr. Hayden," VEGA said. That was the last thing he said before returning back to the Fortress of Doom.
Dr. Hayden began to walk towards the middle of the room. He stood there for a moment before turning around.
"If this gets out of control, we could be looking at a full scale invasion over all of our worlds."
