Chapter 16

"Greetings my Lady," bowed Harry gracefully as he slowly reached out a hand to help the beautiful female Slayer to her feet, "I hope you can pardon my timely interuption."

"Who ...what are you?" asked the attractive brunette before she would reach out her hand and receive help as she eyed the obviously powerful stranger with a good deal of caution.

"Harry Potter at your service," introduced Harry with a lopsided grin, "wizard and protector of beautiful women."

Her answering scoff mixed with a small snort of amusement brought an even wider smile to Harry's face, as he gave a meaningful look at his extended hand and back to her. She was still very guarded and cautious but eventually took his hand as he pulled her easily to her feet. She was several inches shorter than him, and wearing the absolutely sexiest black leather pants he had ever seen along with a wonderfully thin and tight tank top that showed off her amazing figure very well.

"A wizard huh?" she asked still a little cautious, "who are you working for?"

"Just myself, I've only been in LA for a few days, and am trying to understand everything that's been going on," answered Harry easily as he looked in her intense dark brown eyes and tried to get a better feel of the unique power he felt her giving off.

"You sure don't fight like any magic user I've encountered," she challenged with a bit of accusation in her tone.

"You're not what i expected of the Vampire Slayer either," responded Harry with a good humored chuckle at the widening of her eyes.

"H-how did you know?" she asked completely stunned and somewhat fearful.

"I've been watching you and your friends since yesterday ...they are rather talkative Faith," answered Harry with a nonchallant shrug, "but I've yet to learn your last name or been properly introduced to you as you already know my name."

"It's just Faith to you," she almost snarled, apparently not happy at all to learn that this stranger already knew so much about her.

"It is a pretty name ...and suits you well," replied Harry with another lopsided grin, not at all worried about her growing anger and in fact finding it incredibly attractive.

"Fuck you!" she practically yelled, now quite angry and defensive.

"Is that an offer, because I am definitely interested," reposnded a grinning Harry with a flirtatious wink thrown in and making the tempermental Slayer growl before he felt several approaching familiar presences, "maybe next time ...it looks like your friends have finally arrived."

Faith gave him a confused look before seconds later she could hear several approaching footsteps and yells of her name as the group ran into the alley following a recovered Wes. They all came skidding to an abrupt stop when they saw Faith looking at an attractive and healthy looking man whose age seemed very hard to pinpoint dressed in seemingly all black leather. They all looked around them at the broken crates and disturbed mess in the alleyway from what they were told was where Wes and Faith had cornered Angellus before the Watcher had come to find them to help.

"Where's Angellus?" demanded Wes in slight anger at not finding the vampire, and instead some stranger talking to Faith.

"This arrogant ass interupted our fight and let him get away," raged Faith in annoyance.

"It's not arrogance when you're this good sweetie," retorted Harry with another grin and wink directed at the steaming Slayer.

"Alright, that's it," snarled Faith, who instantly charged at Harry planning to beat his ass and teach him a lesson not to piss off the Slayer.

Thr group watching was really confused at what the hell was going on, and were therefore slow to react when Faith charged at the poor man thinking they were going to have to step in and save him from serious harm. They were therefore even more surprised when he simply smiled in seeming pleasure or anticipation at the charging Slayer and made no obvious move to prepare for the hit they all knew was coming. That surprise grew even more when the strange man merely tilted his head at the last possible moment to avoid Faith's powerful looking punch with her right hand, and then followed it up using her momentum to bring a hooking left around to hit him.

The man merely jumped forward inside her left hook and grabbed and spun her seemingly in a hug as her left arm flailed wildly, her second attack completely neutralized by him spinning her seemingly dancing. He ended up with his body right up against hers pinning her to the building's outer wall before he leaned forward and gave her a hard kiss to her shocked mouth. Almost instantly her knee came up to deliver a very painful blow to his manhood, but he merely slipped his hips to the left so her knee missed and came up into nothing. He did though reach out and hook her leg by grabbing her thigh looking more like a pair of lovers in an embrace and keeping her pressed up into the wall.

This time she quickly brought her head forward to deliver a head butt as he had her on one leg up against the wall with one arm firmly in his hand, and her other trapped under his other arm holding her thigh and seemingly working it's way closer to her backside. He tilted his head just in time to avoid the head butt, and gave a quick nip to her now exposed ear as his hand finally found and gave her wonderful ass a nice squeeze and drawing a gasp from the fiery Slayer. She hated the fact that her body was quickly betraying her, getting more turned on by the second, despite her desire to still kick this guy's ass. When he then grinded his hips into hers, she let out a strangled moan that she knew he heard.

"As much as I'd like to sweetie, I'm not a big fan of exhibitionism," whispered Harry into her ear almost instantly stilling her frenzied attempts to fight him, "but if you want to join me later in my hotel room, I'd be more than happy to continue."

"Um ...Faith," called Fred, the only other girl present and the only one seemingly capable of rational thought among the wide eyed spectators, "what's going on?"

"We're just making plans for later," called out Harry to those watching mostly in stunned silence, as he slowly let go of his holds on the hot Slayer with maybe one more tight squeeze of her ass before setting her down and taking a slow step backwards.

Faith was glaring at Harry with narrowed eyes filled with a mix of anger and attraction as she panted more heavily than normal trying to calm herself down, knowing this guy definitely wasn't a pushover. After getting her breathing and thumping heart under better control, she looked to her group of friends with a somewhat frustrated expression on her attractive face. She scowled before admitting that Angellus had been beating her somewhat handily and reluctantly admitted that she would have been in much worse shape if not for Harry getting involved.

The smirking stranger gave Faith a wink before teasing her that it shouldn't have been too hard to admit, as he did have a very good skill set for battling vampires. At their confused looks, he explained that he was a wizard and had fought and even befriended several different types of vampires in the last few years. He did admit though to having little experience with the demon class of vampires. Again, their confused looks forced him to explain the three different types or classes of vampires as magical, normal, and demon which was the only class any of them seemed to know about.

"So how are we going to find Angellus now?" asked Gunn, tired of standing around talking to this random guy and wanting to be doing something productive towards solving their problem.

"Why do you need to find him?" asked Harry, wanting a clearer answer than just the return of their friend and boss.

"To restore his soul," answered Faith immediately, but was not the only one to answer.

"To get answers about the Beast," added Gunn at the same time.

"To put him down," was the answer from Connor rather bluntly.

"Who's the Beast?" asked Harry after glaring at Connor for his answer as it was apparent from what little he had learned, that Angel was a great friend to everyone here and a pretty good guy all around.

"A demon that Angellus knew ...very strong, virtually impenetrable skin, capable of ritual magicks," answered Wesley informatively. "We had hoped Angellus could give us some insight on his plans here and how to stop him as Angel doesn't remember him or their previous encounters, that's why we removed his soul."

"Ritual magic?" asked harry more to himself as he thought about what he knew about it, and had to admit that it wasn't much but at least knew that most took time to perform and very specific items or circumstances and shouldn't be too difficult to stop. "Is he the one responsible for blocking out the sun here?"

"Yes, we think so," answered Wes, who seemed to be the most knowledgeable and the so called scholar of the group.

"Could Angel beat him if he got his soul back?" asked Harry trying to gather as much information as he could before charging in to fight some unknown demon.

"Angel, no. Angellus ...maybe," answered Wes sadly as he thought about the recent fight against the Beast that he and Angel together lost badly and what drove them to bring out Angellus for the job.

"Alright ...then let's go and kill the Beast," responded Harry easily, as the others all choked in shock at his suggestion.

"Even with Faith's help ...we don't stand a chance," sputtered Wes looking very nervous.

"Okay ...then stay here and wait for me to get back," continued Harry, actually prefering that as he could let loose a bit more without others there.

The group all sputtered in shock when they realized this random wizard or whatever he was, was going to go after the Beast by himself and couldn't believe anyone was that cocky or stupid. They all tried to warn him off and tell him he would be killed, but that only made the guy smirk and look at them like they were slow for doubting him. Call it intellectual curiosity or whatever, but the group all together decided to go accompany this crazy guy they didn't even know anything about.

When they asked how he would find the Beast, he just smiled and said he would follow the tracking charm he placed on Angellus when he fled their little fight before he got his ass kicked. Then they asked how long it would take to get to Angellus, and he just smirked again and thought for a moment before saying about two seconds or so and picked up a nearby trash can lid. He then pulled out a little stick and tapped the garbage lid with it, making it glow a pale blue for a second and asked everyone who wanted to come to grab a hold of the trach lid and don't let go until they arrived.

Despite at this point everybody thinking this guy was completely delusional, everybody took positions around the circular metal lid and grabbed hold. The guy who when they got closer, they realized had very serious and determined intense green eyes that took a moment to stare each of them in turn in an almost unnerving way that made them feel exposed. He then sent a lopsided grin at Faith and gave her a suggestive wink before clearly stating the word activate, causing their world to swirl in an insane display of color before they felt their feet slam back down to the ground a second later now in a completely different part of the city.

Before anyone could completely get back their bearings after the nauseating vortex of color, they heard the sound of a pair of voices talking that they couldn't believe. When their eyes finally refocused on their surroundings, they discovered that they were in a very large underground chamber not even twenty feet away from an arguing Angellus and the Beast, while the guy that brought them was already in a battle ready stance facing them. He still had his little stick in his left hand, but his right now held one absolutely breathtakingly beautiful jewel encrusted sword that he seemed very comfortable with, and everyone of the group was left wondering just who in the hell this guys was.
