I meet a Giant Snake
A/N: Leo will stay dead in this as I never get my head around that Leo exploded and somehow the physician's cure was still intact, so sorry for all you Leo lovers but he will stay dead. Final thing Percy will be slightly less dense to romantic feelings but he will be thick-headed sometimes.
Percy POV:
It's been a few months since the Giant War has ended and it's been some of the best months of my life. After the defeat of Gaea, we were called up to Olympus for our rewards.
Flashback:
Hand and hand with Annabeth we walked towards the throne room along with the rest of the seven. As we pushed the doors open (A much harder feat then it looks) "Demigods we have called you up here for your help in defeating Gaea." Zeus thundered. "Jason Grace come forwards" as his appearance took a much more dignified look he turned to Jupiter. "For your help in the Giant war, we offer you immortality along with the rest of you" sending me a very targeted look. "Father I accept this gift," Jason said. Then Jupiter blasted him with his Master Bolt and he became immortal.
"Piper McLean for your actions in the Giant war we also offer you immortality," said Aphrodite. Piper glanced at Jason and he responded with a thump up and said "Mother I accept". Aphrodite then sent a flock of doves towards Piper they surrounded for a few seconds and they returned to Aphrodite and she became immortal with Jason.
"While we cannot bring Leo back to life, I have streamlined his soul into the Isles of Blest as his gift," Hades announced. I smirked at that; Hades would have trouble with keeping things from exploding with Leo never able to sit still for more than a few seconds. After his announcement, he took a more military look and turned into Pluto. He looked at Hazel with an apologetic look "While you have done great deeds in this war, we cannot overlook the fact that you revived Alcyoneus and thus we remove your curse and offer you peaceful life in Camp Jupiter" Hazel looked at Frank who nodded "Father I accept this gift.
"Frank Zhang, we offer you immortality for your deeds in this war" Bellowed Mars. "While I'm grateful for this gift I must decline, however, I may I be removed from my curse," Frank asked. Mars looked at the other Olympians and they seemed to have that telepathic conversation thing they always do. After a minute of waiting Mars spoke "Frank we cannot your curse but we lengthen your stick if you wish". "Yes, Father that is fine," Frank said. Hazel gave Frank the stick and Mars blasted it and once the light died down the stubby stick turned into a long stick about the length from the tip of your middle finger to the middle of your forearm.
"Annabeth Chase for your deeds in this war and returning the Athena Parthenos we also offer you immortality," Athena said. "I apologize but I must decline," Annabeth said glancing at me, in which I returned with my traditional lopsided grin.
Finally, it was my turn "PERSEUS JACKSON" My father bellowed. The Throne Room then turned silent. "For your deeds in this war and the past one we not only offer you Godhood but a seat among us" I stood there in slight shock not expecting the chance to became an Olympian but I already knew my answer. "Father I must humbly decline your gift but rather have two wishes." My father who most likely knew my answer looked at Zeus who shifted a little in his throne but he caved in and said yes. "My wishes would free the peaceful Titans which I see you didn't do beforehand" sending a meaningful glare at each of them "For my final wish I wish that Hades and Hestia Thrones are returned to the council."
Each of the gods looked at me in shock for the final wish but they agreed. A red-orange throne that had a peaceful flame licking its way to the armrests that radiated warmth a sense of home had appeared next to Artemis. The next throne that had shown up was different. The front and three areas displaying the Fields of Punishment, The Field of Asphodel, and Elysium. On the left showed heros relaxing, the right side displaying some of the best tortures The Fields if Punishment had to offer, he would be a real looker during the meetings. The two mentioned gods looked at me in shock and happiness. Hades walked up to me (In normal height not god height that would have been awkward) and gave me a firm handshake saying that the underworld is always open for me. After that Hestia gave me a tight hug says thanks many times over in my ear and giving me her blessing which everyone including me, soon forgot about after she frowned and released me her bear hug and looked at the center of my chest, which made me feel objectified after a few seconds she gasped.
As soon as she gasped, I felt a power surge inside of me and I fell on one knee, once I got up everyone gasped looking over me. I felt objectified once again but luckily (or unluckily) Aphrodite noticed and summoned a mirror in front me and continued to look at me hungrily. Once looked at the mirror I had my gasp as I looked over myself, my sea-green eyes turned even darker but still had a sea-green look but that wasn't the most shocking part what was is that I had white flecks in my eyes like snowflakes and had a blue streak at the bottom of my iris. Once I got over my eyes, I looked at my face which my already dark hair somehow got even darker to the point that it looked like the midnight sky and I got more ruggedly handsome. Then I moved towards the rest of my body in which my muscles got more defined. After getting out of shock Zeus scratched his beard in obvious thought "This is an interesting development." He said. Then Athena spoke out "But, how she has never had a legacy much less a demigod child." Without answering my many questions about what they were talking about they were talking the teleported us back to our respective camps, but didn't help my nagging sense that they were hiding something important.
Flashback end:
After going to my Mom's house and eating a few mouthwatering blue cookies I had to leave because something told me that my demigod scent got even stronger. I got back to camp and went to the arena to train my powers with Hestia's blessing which I got quite good at using my new fire powers I noticed that my powers over water have been stronger I mean I was always good at controlling water but now it was near effortless. Then I had an idea I shaped some water into the shape of a traditional Viking sword and concentrated expecting for my idea to a lot of energy from me but no it wasn't as effortless as water but it was still easy about as easy as water before the Olympus event. I opened my eyes and saw a Viking sword completely made of ice strangely it felt at home in my hands almost as much as Riptide so I practiced with it a little against the dummies. They were utterly destroyed so much I stood there in shock, wide-eyed. Of course, at that moment someone had to come in.
"Wow, what those dummies do to you Kelp Head, and where you get that sword." Asked Thalia with a smirk on her face.
"Thalia, what are you doing here I didn't hear the Hunter's horn," I asked after hugging her
"Wow, you really are a Kelp Head. We got here a few hours ago" She answered while smacking my head.
"Well where you get the sword Perce," She asked once again.
"Well, you know how ice is water right." She nods rolling her eyes "Well look at the sword again." I answered with a grin, presenting her with the sword.
"Wait it's entirely made of ice." She asked in shock (Seems a lot of that has been going around)
"Yep" I answered popping the P.
"How long have you been able to do this" She looked over at the remains of the dummies "Never mind I'd assume a while seeing how you destroyed the dummies."
"Actually, I just thought of it earlier today and well made it and practiced a well you saw the results," I answered somewhat nervously
"Wait you did all this with a power you discovered a few hours ago" Touching the remains of the dummies to make sure they were real.
"Yeah" I answered
"Well seeing you have a new power to get used to how about a friendly duel." She asked
"Sure when."
"How about NOW." She said charging at me at the end of the final word with her spear and trademark shield.
I dodged her spear thrust and struck her with Icicle (The name of the Viking Sword) only for her to block it with her shield grinning think that the sword would break on contact. Only to her surprise and mine, it scratched the shield using her shock to my advantage, I knock her spear out of her hands and place Icicle under her chin. "Yield."
She still looked at me in shock and wonder in her blue eyes "How did you move so fast" she asked.
My triumphant grin turned into a frown as heard her words "What do you mean"
"What I mean is that one moment your sword was against Aegis and the next my spear was knocked out of my hands and your sword was under my chin."
"I honestly don't know Thals," I said shrugging then suddenly waves of fatigue hit me.
"You ok Perce," She asked
"Never been this tired after a duel" I mumbled to myself.
"Might be your old age you are turning pretty old" She responded with a grin.
"Shut up Sparky, what I mean is that when I was controlling Icicle it was easy it took some energy sure but not this much," I answered
Suddenly she starts laughing "Did you seriously name the sword Icicle?" she asks between laughs.
"Yes, I did it requires thought you should try it sometime Thunder Thighs." I quipped back at her.
She instantly stopped laughing and looked at me with a red face of anger but before she could respond an earth-shaking roar interrupted her. We looked at each other and headed towards the beach where Annabeth was but she wasn't the only one. There was also you know Thirty-foot headed snake that looked like it could destroy ships in a single bite and have room for more. I honestly had no idea how to defeat it I couldn't recall a giant snake in Greek mythology but then I remembered a story my Mom told me when I was younger. Oh, Hades no. "Annabeth get back that thing is the world snake we cannot wake it up under any circumstances." Both of the demigoddesses look at me like How you know that. Annabeth getting out of her shock of me knowing something she didn't concerning mythology started running towards me but Jörmungandr had other plans and instead yawned and as a result of the yawn of venom came out of its mouth. And time slowed down for me all I saw was that the giant ball of acid like venom going towards Annabeth and then it hit her. I could never describe the feelings that soured inside of me at that moment. Shame. Angry. Guilt. Heart Break. And so many more.
Thalia and I ran as fast as we could towards her, she looked at Thalia and said "Thalia when I'm gone take care of Seaweed Brain for me ok." "You're going to do that Annie you cannot leave us yet." Thalia responded with tear-filled eyes "Thalia I need you to swear it." Thalia spoke, "I will take care of Percy with the most of my ability, I swear on the River Styx." Thunder boomed in the sky solidifying the oath. Then she turned to me "Percy you are the best boyfriend anyone could ask for and I love you," She said as Death's bittersweet touch took her to the Underwordl
Thalia and me got up and wiped the tears from our eyes and looked at the Demon spawn that killed our friend and I spoke our plan "Thals what we can't kill as much as I want to, we literally cannot what we need to try to put it asleep again. I need you to hit it with the most powerful lightning bolt you can hit it with on its head and I'm going to punch it with the power of earthquakes hopefully it passes out or else we are dead meat." "Alright Percy let's do this." Thalia, hen she sent a bolt so powerful I would have guessed it was from her Dad. Then as its head went down, I dived into the water and leaped up and hit it so hard I could have sworn I heard something crack whether it was my wrist or it's jaw I didn't know.
But the damn monster didn't go down quietly. In its final breaths of consciousness, it managed to spew acid at both of us I raised Icicle to try and protect me and I saw Thalia do the same with her spear but in the end, we got hit. It was just as bad as my trip to the River Styx. I didn't understand how Annabeth was able to speak but that last thing that I saw in my vision was a lady on a Pegasus flying towards me but she wasn't fast enough to save us.
