Harry Potter and Another Time Travelling Adventure
Chapter 1
Sirius was distracted and peevish.
Harry was a kid alright, but he faced more than what some in the Order did, and he had every right to know what the Order was up to. Molly might have Harry's best interests at heart, but she had overstepped in this case-he fumed to himself.
HE was Harry's godfather, not she, and what was all that talk about Azkaban? He hadn't chosen to go there. It wasn't his choice to not raise Harry.
All in all, Sirius was having a pretty bad day, which distracted him from his surroundings, at an Order meeting no less, which is why he wasn't as quick to react when there was a sudden crashing noise in the other room. Molly sighed, and said resignedly "It must be Fred and George again trying to find out what's happening here." Arthur stood up and walked swiftly to the door, saying "I'll deal with them."
Dumbledore continued and Sirius forced himself to pay attention.
Suddenly, he heard Arthur yell "STUPEFY" and he could make some other unknown noises yelling "PROTEGO". He jumped to his feet and looked with incredulity at Remus. Death Eaters! At Grimmauld Place! Voldemort must be stronger than they imagined, he thought with growing horror, if Death Eaters could break into the best protected place in England!
All the members of the Order exchanged horrified glances and ran to the next room, with Dumbledore at the lead.
"We're not the enemy, dad, come on! Oh, for heaven's-PROTEGO-sake! Dumbledore! Help-" he heard as he ran to the room. Dumbledore was pointing his wand towards the intruders, with Arthur at his side looking dazed, but he raised his other hand to stop the others from taking any action.
Sirius looked at the intruders, and his stomach dropped to his feet as he saw someone who looked a hell like James and a young boy who looked as if he was Harry's twin, along with a redheaded, lanky man and a pale, blond boy.
He growled, "You dare to disguise as James and Harry! Is it you Wormtail? You DARE?" he roared, and pointed his wand at them, seeing red.
"Sirius" Dumbledore said warningly. "Who are you?", he continued coolly, his eyes appraising the intruders. "How did you enter here?"
The two men seemed to be having a silent conversation with each other, and the James lookalike grimaced, but nodded. "Would you believe us, Professor" he said stepping forward, "if we said we have travelled back in time?"
"Of course, they're lying Dumbledore!" Moody growled. Dumbledore said nothing, but looked calculatingly at the James lookalike. "Time Turners don't travel further than a few hours" continued Moody angrily, "So that's your story then- You're James and you have travelled back in time with Harry?", pointing towards the Harry lookalike. "That's a shoddy story, try better", he finished with sinister look on his face.
The James lookalike said calmly "No. My story is that I'm Harry Potter and we have travelled back in time."
Some members of the Order gasped, and the rest looked incredulous. Sirius noticed for the first time that the man had Lily's almond green eyes. It couldn't be, he thought desperately.
"Do you take us for fools? Dumbledore, we have to overpower them!" cried Kingsley his wand still pointed at the intruder.
The man claiming to be Harry brushed back his hair from his forehead to show them a lightning bolt scar. "Look." he said abruptly, and then turned to Remus "My Patronus is a stag, which is a spell that you taught me to protect myself from Dementors while playing Quidditch."
He turned towards Sirius and said "You came to visit me before the third task as Padfoot in a cave in Hogsmeade. You gave me a Firebolt during my third year."
"Anyone could know that if they paid attention.", Remus said grimly, looking shaken.
The Harry lookalike pursed his lips and looked straight at Dumbledore. "I know about the prophecy", he said, raising his chin fractionally and looking straight into Dumbledore's eyes.
Sirius glanced at Dumbledore, and saw him give an almost unnoticeable start. "When I faced Voldemort at the graveyard, he mentioned having gone further from the path of death than any other human.", the James lookalike nodded slightly at that statement, as Dumbledore was noticeably more surprised now.
Dumbledore lowered his wand, and as other members looked at him incredulously, he just waved his hand negligibly. "If what you're saying is true, then I can confirm it by using Legilimency.", he said, ignoring the gaping looks others were giving him.
"I would have suggested it sooner, but we don't know the effect that knowledge of the future could have on the past." said the James lookalike grimly.
"What about Voldemort?" said Dumbledore a little desperately, lowering his wand fractionally. "Dead.", piped in the redhead, clapping the James lookalike on his shoulder. "We, uh, made sure he remained dead this time." he added.
The Order gaped at each other. Voldemort, dead!? Surely it was too good to hope for! James's lookalike nodded at Dumbledore, touching his scar. "So, the plan worked then? Is Voldemort wholly gone then?" Dumbledore asked again, and James's lookalike nodded once again.
Dumbledore mumbled "Harry! It is you!", and strode over to where the James lookalike stood, and laid both of his hands on his shoulders. "You did it!"
At Dumbledore's words, the Order, which looked suspicious and alert for the most part, became incredulous and shocked.
If Dumbledore confirmed it, then it was indeed Harry who inexplicably had travelled back in time somehow! And Voldemort was defeated!
Arthur, still looking shaken, said unexpectedly from beside Sirius, "Ron? Is that you?"
"Got it in one, dad. "grumbled the lanky redhead, stowing his wand in his pocket now that the danger of people hexing him had marginally reduced. "Ow," he mumbled as Molly rushed in forward and hugged him within an inch of his life. "Yes, mum," he said, gingerly patting his mother on her back. "It's me, and I'm fine."
Molly let go of Ron, looking at him beaming, and then turned to hug Harry similarly. "Yes, Molly, we're all fine.", he repeated, a fond look on his face.
His gaze then fell on Sirius, and his expression grew fonder and a bit sadder. "Harry?" said Sirius disbelievingly. Harry smiled softly. Sirius leapt in to hug him, and Harry hugged him back fiercely.
Sirius released him at last, and said in a tone that was almost reverent. "And that's your...", gesturing at the raven-haired boy. "My son, Albus" said Harry firmly, and kept his hand on the shoulder of the boy.
Dumbledore looked rather touched and beamed at Harry. The boy rolled his eyes and muttered, "Now he remembers", but glanced at Harry fondly all the same.
"And who's this young man?" asked Molly, pointing towards the remaining member, who looked as if someone had clubbed him on his head. "That's Scorpius, Albus' friend.", said Ron, putting his hand on the shoulder of the boy.
"Merlin's beard!" breathed Scorpius, and turned towards Harry's son and hit him on arm. "Do you realize this Albus? We have time travelled! Wait till Rose hears of this, she'll go mental! And by Dumbledore, I'm meeting some of the most instrumental witches and wizards who tried to thwart Voldemort! Isn't this the Order of Phoenix?! That's Mad Eye Moody of course, and that must be Tonks! I know Mr. and Mrs. Weasley of course, and Bill too," he continued, oblivious to Albus' snort, "And that's Kingsley Shacklebolt, and Remus Lupin, and," here his voice turned a little reverent, "Sirius Black, Severus Snape, and" now it was positively hero worshipping, "Albus Dumbledore himself!" He gave a little flail here and looked at Dumbledore reverently, as if it was Merlin himself come to life.
The Order looked rather bewildered and baffled, but Sirius noticed Dumbledore's eyes were twinkling madly. Harry and Ron however both looked a little guarded, and Ron said "We mustn't reveal any details about the future, do you understand?", as he suddenly looked more serious and gazed sternly at the boys. The boys gulped and nodded.
"As touching as all this is," said a furious, silky voice from behind, "what in Merlin's name are you all doing here?", and as Severus Snape stepped forward, the time travelers fell silent at once and exchanged troubled glances.
