After failing to stop Cauldron from launching an unstoppable assault on his main headquarters while dealing with Echida, Prometheus decides that throwing himself into the Void is preferable to being forced to meet the Winnower face to face. It's only after he possesses the body of a version of Jaune Arc who died during Beacon's Initiation that he realizes that he was wrong.

After arriving on Remnant, the Vanguard thought that the one thing could get without any trouble was a detailed map of the world. Boy were they wrong when they got them.
