This is what happens when I want to write more fluff. Now you get Eddie's point of view of their first kiss and it turns into a series. Each part of this series will be exactly 500 words.

Eddie never planned on kissing his best friend, but that's exactly what he's about to do.

One minute Buck is drying the dishes Eddie is handing him and absentmindedly mentioning that they should make sure to buy tickets for Christopher's school play as soon as they go on sale tomorrow so they can get front row seats.

The next minute, Eddie is surging forward and crowding into Buck's personal space. The next thing he knows, he's pushing Buck up against the counter and kissing him. Buck stumbles backward in surprise and Eddie's hands immediately go to Buck's waist to stabilize him.

The kiss is fairly tame, all things considered. But it's definitely not just a chaste little peck on the lips either. Eddie breaks it off just as suddenly as he started it. He's breathing heavily and his heart is beating so loud in his ears that it's drowning out everything else. He tilts his head up to look at Buck.

That's when the enormity of what he's just done hits him. Buck is looking at him with an unreadable expression. Even worse, Buck isn't saying anything and it's freaking him out.

Buck hadn't been kissing him back.

Regret crashes over him. He never should have kissed Buck like that. He should have known that Buck didn't see him that way. He's just fucked up everything with his best friend. Maybe it's not too late to take it all back.

"I'm sorry," he mumbles. He needs to put as much space between himself and Buck as he can. He stumbles over his own two feet in his hurry to do so. "Fuck. We can pretend this never happened," he offers. It's a desperate plea to hopefully salvage what he can of their friendship, if only Buck will agree to it.

"Not a chance," Buck declares. The next thing Eddie knows, Buck's got a fistful of his t-shirt and he's being pulled back toward Buck. Eddie doesn't have a chance to catch his balance before he's ungracefully stumbling into Buck, pinning him against the counter again. Buck either doesn't notice or doesn't care because he's too busy kissing Eddie.

This time their kiss is anything but tame. If Eddie thought he was crowding Buck's space earlier, it's nothing compared to how close they are this time around. Every inch of their bodies is pressed together. Eddie's hands are holding Buck tightly against his chest while Buck's hands are working their way under Eddie's t-shirt to get even closer.

Neither of them is complaining.

This kiss is much longer than their first and they're both determined to make it last as long as possible. They're both breathing heavily by the time they break apart.

"I can't believe you beat me to that," huffs Buck when he finally catches his breath. Eddie laughs in relief that he didn't just ruin the best relationship in his life.

Eddie knows this is his last first kiss because there's no way any other kiss will compare.
